Fantastic experience: Had the pleasure of working alongside Oliva for a wedding reception in Wrightsville Beach this past weekend. She is professional, and it's clear she takes pride in her work as the event was beautifully designed and produced. Highly recommend Gather Events for any wedding planning & design needs!

Fantastic experience: Sarah and her team were lovely to work with for our February 2026 wedding at Brooklyn Arts. We used her partial planning/design and coordination package as well as Gather's florals. It was no easy task planning a multicultural wedding from a different country— I moved to Sweden in the middle of wedding planning, and my husband and his family are Swedish— but Sarah was flexible and open-minded. We had an amazing day. I was particularly impressed with her design skills while keeping us within our budget. I showed her my vision and she immediately got it, and delivered beyond our expectations. Everything was so beautiful and even better than I had pictured it.

Fantastic experience: We cannot say enough good things about Olivia. Our wedding day went so smoothly and everything felt absolutely perfect. From the very start, she made the entire planning process feel easy and stress-free. She was always organized, responsive, and one step ahead on every detail. Olivia was so kind and genuinely fun to work with. She took care of everything behind the scenes so we could just relax and enjoy our day. All of our friends and wedding party commented on how amazing she was. We can’t recommend her enough.

Fantastic experience: Sarah and Gather Events made our wedding day non-stress and more beautiful than I could ever imagine. They handled everything, whenever I would ask Sarah for something on my wedding day, she already had it done before I could even think of it. I was definitely a Type A bride while planning with a lot of ideas, and Sarah helped my vision come to life. They also did our florals, which were STUNNING and we got a ton of compliments on. You guys were all so nice and helpful throughout the entire process, rehearsal and wedding day. I booked Gather Events for Day of Coordination and couldn’t be happier with the help they provided. I had a good handle on design, vendors and decor so I opted for day of coordination. My Venue, Wrightsville Manor, required a planner but after it all I would highly recommend at minimum a day of coordination to anyone planning their wedding, especially from Gather Events! Sarah provided great guidance in our early on meetings which were obviously way before the day of, which I didn’t expect to have and was so grateful for. I really loved that Sarah didn’t tell me what I needed to do or have, it was always here are some options, it’s your guys day, what do you want? She gave great insight and feedback to all my questions. The last 2 weeks help was amazing and extremely helpful having her and her team coordinating with vendors. The entire day was beyond perfect and ran extremely smooth. I can’t even think of anything that went wrong. So in all, I would recommend Gather Events for your wedding!!

Fantastic experience: They were incredible! Olivia made our dream wedding come true. The table settings, bouquets, and arrangement over the fireplace was exactly what we envisioned. They didn’t try to get all your money, instead help you create the floral ideas you wanted. they treated you like a person not a client and gave ideas to help make the venue come to life.

Fantastic experience: I had the assumption that I could plan my entire wedding, and handle every detail the day of the wedding, all from another state. About 2 months out I was overwhelmed and in a panic. Gather Events stepped in after 1 meeting and had EVERYTHING mapped out, planned out, and off my plate. The day of the wedding was a breeze. The style and elegance matched exactly with my vision, and they were so professional that I didn’t have to worry about anything. They even made sure the limo that took us to our hotel had plates of food! Could not ask for a better company for your wedding and events!!

Negative experience: I am BEYOND disappointed with Carter and how she treated me, my husband, our families and guests at my wedding 1/28/24 at Wrightsville Manor. She was very rude to EVERYONE at the rehearsal and on wedding day. She constantly rolled her eyes at my family and wedding party to their faces. She rolled her eyes at my mother when she pointed out an obviously chipped plate and asked to have it replaced so that no one would get cut. She was rude to the groomsmen when they arrived 15 minutes early to their photo session saying y'all shouldn't be here yet and didn't let them in the venue that I paid for during my contract time. She yelled at my family at the end of the night as they were packing up their things to leave saying "you all need to get out". Mind you this was 9pm at Wrightsville Manor and my contract said I had the venue until 11pm. She yelled at my mother 10 minutes before the wedding started saying we already needed to have our things packed up in the bridal suite so we could leave. And these are just a few instances. I have had multiple guests reach out to me complaining about how Carter treated them. Its embarrassing to receive so many complaints about one person. I also ordered my bouquet and boutonnieres through Gather Events and they got the order wrong. I ordered pocket boutonnieres after they told me it was possible. Showed up to the wedding with regular ones and then tried to reconfigure them to the pocket ones which ended up breaking anyways. And then rolled their eyes at my family when they asked them to fix them. Carter threw out all of my wine bottle fairy lights decor at the end of the night which I did not give her permission to do (I was planning on giving the bottles to my friend for her wedding). I could not be unhappier with Carter and how she carried herself through those two days. She was beyond unprofessional. I was very surprised and did not expect her to act that way because she was a totally different person in the two meetings before our wedding. And then this other side of her is what showed up to the wedding. I would NOT recommend her to anyone. This is also the only issue I had with my wedding. All of my other vendors were amazing, my guests were amazing and wedding party and family was amazing.

Fantastic experience: Carter was a SUPERSTAR. She coordinated every last bit of our wedding to take on the hard parts and make it easy and enjoyable for my husband and I. Plus it was great to be able to do flowers through the same vendor. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I just got married a month ago and worked with Gather Events for my wedding. They were so knowledgable and great to work with the entire time from the first planning meeting to the day of the wedding. We mainly worked with Sarah, and she's so kind, professional and puts any nerves you have at ease! We had our wedding at Wrightsville Manor, and Gather Events decorated it so beautifully and completely exceeded my expectations!! Highly recommend to anyone planning a special event! <3

Fantastic experience: I had Sarah as my coordinator and when I say she is the best, she is the BEST. Everything went so smoothly and she really cares to make your wedding the best it can be. She has such a calm personality that helps calm any nerves you may have on the day of. I highly would recommend her to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Gather Events to anyone planning a wedding in Wilmington, NC. They were extremely professional and pleasant to work with from the very beginning, super responsive, and did a beautiful job. Everything from coordination (included last minute changes) and the setup of our venue was high quality and went smoothly. I worked with Carter and Sarah, but the entire team produces outstanding work. I'm still receiving compliments from our guests on how beautiful our wedding was and how much fun everyone had despite the pandemic, and I thank Gather Events completely for that!

Positive experience: We really enjoyed working with Olivia in planning our wedding. Our wedding was an absolutely wonderful day! Everything seemed to go so smoothly and all thanks to Olivia! She responded to our emails pretty quickly during the year of planning and was very helpful with giving us options and opinions whenever we were stumped on making a decision. Fantastic experience: My husband and I discovered Gather Events while at the brunch for Courtyards and Cobblestones. We were paired with Sarah as our day of coordinator for our wedding. Sarah was amazing to work with! We were so lucky with the team we put together for our wedding and she was such a powerhouse to have on the team. We discussed our vision for the wedding and she and her team did all the heavy-lifting. They put all the decorations out at the wedding and helped to clean and organize everything at the end. Sarah made sure our event moved smoothly. I don't know if anything went wrong because if it did she handled it. She took so much stress off of me that I would say she is worth her weight in gold! I highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: The team at Gather is incredible! I used Gather for Month of Wedding Planner services and as my Florist. I worked with the amazing Olivia and a few of her equally talented employees. Gather is truly a great deal and very reasonably priced! They provide quality professional support throughout the entire wedding planning journey and their expert skills in design and floral arrangement is unmatched. Our wedding day ended up being the fairytale dream we had always hoped for but there was an unexpected change in plans. Due to a seasonal hurricane we had to postpone our wedding day. Olivia was extremely supportive through the entire postpone saga. She helped us monitor the storm, communicate with vendors and make a "worst case scenario" plan. When it was time to official postpone the big day Olivia was quick to organize all the changes, advise us on what steps to take and even came back from her vacation early to help make sure everything went off without a hitch on the new date. The team transformed our venue into a dreamy fairy garden! Everything was dripping with greenery and flowers. Olivia and the Gather team made every piece of our Monet Garden theme come to life! I can't thank her and the team enough for all of their support and hard work! It was the perfect weekend!
