Fantastic experience: My daughter and SIL used Design Perfection for their wedding Valentine's weekend, and the flowers were stunning! The photographer, who has done over 300 weddings, even commented on how beautiful the bouquet was. The flowers were exactly the ones my daughter wanted, and the colors were so vivid. The magic the designer did over the mantel was pure magic. They worked within her budget and were easy to work with. We highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: As a wedding planner here in Wilmington I knew that Design Perfection would absolutely NAIL the vague but also somehow specific idea I had for a hanging installation for my own party. I work in a lot of venues and with a wedding background, I wanted something different - Jeff and his team took general inspiration pictures and I trusted them completely! In addition to their amazing abilities to do hanging installs and all the other creative aspects behind the scenes, they also have great rentals! I used their cushions for the benches and they elevated a space frequently used for ceremonies to be a cozy sitting areas.

Fantastic experience: We truly wouldn’t have survived both wedding planning and our wedding day without Jeff and Nikki. They both made us feel so seen during the planning and completely exceeded our expectations. They assisted and facilitated with rentals, menu creations, decor, floor plan, and got all of our vendors organized and on the same page so that my (now husband!) and I didn’t have to worry or deal with anything. It was a completely seamless and stress free experience - they answered any questions we had at all hours of the day (no matter how dumb our questions were) and made us feel so seen. Fantastic experience: Jeff and his team created a magical winter wonderland for my daughter’s wedding this past January! He is truly an artist and his design work, and attention to detail, truly impressed me! His florals, his rental pieces and his design are all top-notch. Fantastic experience: Jeff and the Design Perfection team are awesome! They helped make our wedding at Wrightsville Manor look beautiful and just how we imagined it. The florals matched perfectly to what we wanted and they have all kinds of additional rental options to fill the space however you’d like. The little details like rose pedals at the ceremony and the option to have them create all our welcome signs themselves makes it a one-stop shop to complete your wedding! Fantastic experience: Jeff and the Design Perfection team made all of our wedding dreams and Pinterest boards come to reality (literally)! When we had our in person meeting, Jeff had my Pinterest board pulled up on the screen and was ready to make it happen. He also listened carefully to our budget and what we wanted, giving us realistic ideas to meet all of our requirements. The florals and rentals were all so beautiful and exactly what I wanted! His team worked hard all day leading up to the wedding, making every detail perfect. From having someone painting the bar structure, clipping the floral arrangements to perfection, and probably so much more thay I didn’t even see! Everything was perfect!

Fantastic experience: Nikki and the team at DP were great to work with for all of our wedding needs! The communication was excellent as we were planning our wedding from another state. They were able to accommodate us to look at all of our rentals in person at the show room prior to the big day! We used them for the draping and candles throughout. Everything went just as it should and I could not recommend them more.

Fantastic experience: Five stars is not enough for Jeff and his team. Design Perfection created florals for our fall wedding that took our breath away. Don't cut the flower budget! The money you spend at DP is budget well spent. Thank you Jeff and team; we’ll be recommending you to everyone.

Fantastic experience: You will be blown away! Jeff and the Design Perfection team turned our boring warehouse into a beautiful gala! Our guests were awestruck! we had outdoor seating in a tent too, and despite the inclement weather the team was patient and persevered. They pulled off a true miracle.

Negative experience: PLEASE do not make the same mistake we did! When we hired Design Perfection, we already had a lot of the wedding planned (venue, catering, design theme, etc). We lived out of state and were traveling to Wilmington, NC for our wedding so after speaking with Jeff, thought design perfection would be the perfect planner for our wedding which was 8 months away. My fiancee and I have busy schedules, so we told Jeff our vision and color scheme and asked for him to give us two or three options for everything and we would just pick one. Since we didn’t have a budget for our wedding, knew what we wanted and were 8 months from our wedding day, we thought this was going to be the easiest wedding ever planned. We could not have been more wrong!! Our experience started off strong with a couple of phone calls going over the vision for our wedding. The first few months we spoke maybe twice and then had back and forth emails with Jeff's assistant. When we were three months from our wedding date, we still had no official design plan, no floor plan, and had no rentals. We started to voice our concerns and were reassured that there was still plenty of time and not to worry. One more month went by, still no progress. We were two months away from our wedding with no floor plan, design plan, had never even had a conversation regarding what flowers we wanted, nothing. We had no chairs or tables for guest that would be attending a wedding weeks away. At this point, I had such anxiety I was losing sleep almost every night. My fiancee and I began trying to contact Jeff but, our emails were ignored for weeks and he would not return our phone calls. It was just blow off after blow off. I reached out to our venue, Wrightsville Manor (which was amazing!),since they were the ones who referred Design Perfection. The conversation was basically, “Hey, should we be freaking out because I feel like this isn’t normal?!” The Wrightsville Manor team was shocked and said that everything should have been reserved and finalized MONTHS AGO! We began calling Jeff and sending emails with this news and he finally responded. Never in my life have I been spoken to more unprofessionally. He even mocked about the fact he was ignoring our calls and emails and with an apathetical and patronizing attitude told us we were upset for no reason. At this point, even if Jeff could have delivered with rentals and planning. We couldn’t imagine having to deal with someone on our actual wedding day who could be so unprofessional and apathetical over something as important as someones wedding day. In full panic, with prayers and the help of local friends, we were able to find a last minute planner (Steele Magnolias) and rental company (White Birch) who saved the day. We were told by multiple people that there were two other couples, who had similar experiences with Design perfection, during this time as well. Supposedly, Jeff agreed to give them a refund in exchange they had to sign a non-disclosure agreement that they could not write negative reviews. This is the first review I have ever written in my life but I pray this helps prevent someone from having the same nightmare we did.

Negative experience: Part of me feels horrible for writing this... but I'd feel worse not warning other couples. Design Perfection's owner, Jeff, was the biggest source of stress for my now-husband and me during the planning process. We had two contracts with Design Perfection for our wedding weekend (event planning + design, plus a secondary event) and Jeff not only repeatedly failed to meet deadlines, but he also failed to deliver on ANY design-related services (among other services) contracted for in the critical 5-9 month period leading up to the wedding. We were also rudely dismissed whenever we asked for guidance or suggestions - he never had ideas or solutions to offer, and his client service was atrocious at best. He then cancelled our contracts 4 months before our wedding and REFUSED to give us any of our deposit back unless we signed a NDA agreement (we obviously didn't and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau instead). Luckily, we were able to work with another planner who was able to get us back on track (with the utmost professionalism, creativity and care, for what it's worth!), and we had the most amazingly wonderful and epic weekend. Despite the stress and frustration Jeff initially created for us, I'm so relieved things turned out the way they did. The thought of having Jeff there on my wedding day makes me absolutely cringe - his bad attitude and energy would have put a damper on everything!!! Avoid at all costs.

Fantastic experience: Design Perfection was an incredible addition to our vendor team! Jeff, Kenzie and the rest of their team were very kind, professional and helpful! From our very first meeting with Jeff (designer/florist), we knew our wedding would be beautiful! He is incredibly knowledgeable and offered guidance and suggestions throughout the entire process. When Covid hit, Jeff was very patient and flexible with us as we drastically changed our guest count, design vision and venue. He worked hard to bring our second vision to life, despite the changes and challenges associated with Covid-19. When we finally met Kenzie (coordinator), we knew we could put our trust in her to perfectly execute our wedding day! She was highly organized and efficient. On the day of our wedding, the remnants of Hurricane Delta passed through, forcing us to change venues (for the third time) on the DAY OF the wedding! Without missing a beat, the Design Perfection team moved into action. In a matter of hours, they built us a dream wedding in a completely new venue. We were blown away by how gorgeously decorated it was and how much it still aligned with our vision! Design Perfection is well worth the cost. They made our wedding day one that we and our guests will NEVER forget! We are so glad that we chose Design Perfection to be a part of our Dream Team!

Fantastic experience: We used Design Perfection for our daughter's wedding in March and the work they did was simply stunning. From the bouquets, to the hanging flowers, to the table arrangements, to the unbelievably beautiful floral arch at the entrance, it could not have been anymore perfect. The flowers were beyond amazing and it really was a fairy tale wedding. Our daughter, Katie was so, so happy and didn’t stop smiling all evening. We would highly recommend using Design Perfection for events in the Wilmington area....they are just great!

Fantastic experience: Aside from getting to marry my now husband, Jeff and Design Perfection's designs were by far my favorite part of our wedding day! Everything from the bouquets to the boutonnieres was jaw-dropping to say the very least, and he and his team was so sweet and supportive throughout the entire process. They truly went above and beyond to make sure the day was perfect! 20/10 would recommend to anyone in the Wilmington area!

Fantastic experience: We did not have the pleasure of working directly with Jeff more than a handful of times, he consulted with our wedding coordinator more frequently. However, the few times we did consult with him, he was kind and thorough in his questions and allowed us to dream as big as we wanted. Jeff made our wedding dreams come true. We had this draping vision for our backdrop in a venue where it almost seemed impossible and he made it happen. It is still being talked about several days after the wedding and we are so grateful for his creative eye.
