My husband and I live out of state, and knew that we needed to have someone in the area to help us plan our dream wedding. Sarah is incredibly professional, extremely knowledgeable of the vendors in the area, and executes design ideas with finesse. We had an idea of what we wanted our wedding to look like, but Sarah brought the vision to life. My mom shared that our wedding the most well-planned wedding she’s ever been to and been apart of. All credit goes to Sarah and her team for creating the most beautiful event for us! I highly recommend her full planning services to anyone getting married in the area.

Fantastic experience: I am begging you, hire Sarah to plan your wedding!!! I cannot begin to even cover how beyond helpful and truly kind Sarah is. She is not only professional and incredibly organized, she is also the sweetest person you will ever meet. She will take all of your ideas no matter how big or small and do EVERYTHING she can to make them come true. I emailed Sarah probably once a week from the time I booked her in back in November of 2024 to getting married this past weekend on March 29th 2026! And that just goes to show how caring Sarah truly is. Fantastic experience: We booked Paige from Sarah Ann Weddings & Events for our wedding at Brooklyn Arts Center (Wilmington NC) in November. Paige did an absolutely amazing job - she consistently went above and beyond to ensure our day went seamlessly. We did the Partial Planning and Design package, and really appreciated her help throughout the design process. She ran the florals and rentals packages, which was a big lift since everything needs to be rented for this venue. The venue looked beyond stunning on the day of!! All of our guests were so complementary of how beautiful and seamless the wedding was, as well as Paige's constant and steadying management throughout. Not only is she great at her job, but Paige is such a joy to work with. We could not recommend her more highly!

Fantastic experience: Hire Sarah! I found Sarah through a mutual friend when we were planning our destination wedding at Wrightsville Manor in Wilmington, and I knew I needed to rely heavily on a planner—especially since I was studying for a career license at the same time. Wedding planning is stressful, and you second-guess every decision you make (at least I did), but Sarah always steered me in the right direction. I almost switched venues because I couldn’t get a date during prime wedding season (September or October), and I didn’t want a cold November wedding. But Sarah turned out to be right—early to mid-November is actually a wonderful time to get married, and I absolutely loved our venue! One piece of advice I’ll give future brides hiring Sarah is this: trust the vendors she recommends. Every vendor I brought in on my own ended up failing me. One of them—my photographer—told me 2.5 weeks before the wedding that she would no longer be shooting my wedding and that her second shooter would now be the lead. My gut told me something was off, and Sarah had a backup option for me within 45 minutes (again, this was 2.5 WEEKS before the wedding!). I ended up hiring him, and he was 10x better than my original photographer. Things will come up, and you need a planner who can act fast. That is Sarah Tanner. Hiring a planner is truly an insurance policy for brides—vendors don’t want to disappoint planners who could influence their future business.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Sarah to plan my coastal NC wedding all the way from Chicago, IL and it was the most seamless wedding of all time. She was so helpful, professional, and fun to work with over the 16 month wedding planning process. She recommended incredible vendors and made sure everything ran so smoothly the day of for both guests and the bridal party. We had several meetings and she was always on top of it and available to work around my hectic schedule. I had several guests come up to me and say it was the best wedding ever, ask who my vendors were and who my planner was. I don’t think I could have asked for a better planner! I would recommend Sarah to any bride, she is incredible!

Fantastic experience: We booked Sarah for partial planning services for our wedding at Brooklyn Arts Center on 10/10/25. We really cannot imagine our wedding planning process and our wedding day without her!! For starters, she is such a warm person! I really enjoyed all of our calls and meetings, not just for the planning, but because she is a joy to be around. She had so much excitement for my husband and I, and I could tell she really felt personally invested in our day and our experience. Also, throughout the whole process, Sarah was very responsive and answered everyyy single question we had, big and small. In our opinion, one of the most valuable items Sarah handled during planning was the rentals. We rented nearly everything, and Sarah handled alllll of it. There were so many vendors involved (plates from one place, tables from another, linens from another, etc.) and I can only imagine how grueling the process would've been if we handled that on our own. Sourcing and handling rentals is reason enough to go with the partial (or full) planning if you are thinking about it. Another thing to note is that Sarah has incredible taste and I trusted her with aesthetic decisions, which is something that set her apart for me when I was looking for a planner. There are sooo many little decisions to make during the planning process, and it made a HUGE difference knowing I could fully trust Sarah to make decisions for us. I'm admittedly very particular, so this was a big deal!! The few weeks leading up to the wedding, Sarah was absolutely on top of it, in full on project manager mode, and I actually don't know what we would've done without her. In addition to all the emails and calls we were aware of, I know she was handling so many things behind the scenes; I don't even know what I don't know! And in the midst of all her pre-wedding coordinating, she even took the time to make our menus, bar signs, and seating chart just to take a few things off my plate (again- trusting her with aesthetics made this possible!). The wedding day went so so soooo incredibly smoothly. We had a 190-person wedding with a space flip between ceremony and reception, and it went without a single hitch!!! If there was a hitch, I didn't know, and she let me exist in my little bride bubble living my best day ever. My husband and I really truly had the best and happiest day of our lives and we attribute so much of it to Sarah and her team. We had several family members and other guests expressing compliments to her in the days and weeks following. I think I could write an essay on how hiring Sarah as a wedding planner added years to my life lol. There are so many reasons that the weeks leading up to the wedding and wedding day could be stressful, but they weren't! Because we knew Sarah had us covered. That feeling is priceless!!!

Fantastic experience: Paige with Sarah & Wedding Events is the reason our day was absolutely perfect. Like a lot of couples, we were hesitant about hiring a planner and unsure if it would be worth it — but we couldn’t have been more wrong. Paige guided us through every step in a clear, organized, and stress-free way. She thought of things we never would have and made sure our vision and budget both stayed on track. Fantastic experience: We are at a loss for words to describe how incredible Sarah is - she made our day perfect down to every last detail. We live abroad and planned our entire wedding from afar - Sarah literally took care of everything. She began by asking us about our vision, understood it, and made it happen. We explained what we were looking for in terms of vendors (catering, florist, DJ, venue, etc) and she presented us with lists of options. She provided her experienced opinions while stressing she would make any choice of ours work. We were particularly impressed at the beginning of our working relationship when we explained that we didn't want a DJ. She gently pushed back, explaining that in her experience the DJ is an integral part of the set-up and that she required one. She helped us select one, and on the day of the wedding it became clear she was right. She and all the vendors (DJ included) were a well coordinated team, all connected to the Sarah, the Mission Control of our wedding, who ensured everything flowed smoothly and perfectly. I imagine glowing reviews about wedding planners are common, and every wedding planner we interviewed was impressive. Sarah was different in her approach - rather than beginning by telling us about her thoughts, she began by asking us key questions designed to get an idea of our vision, probed to make sure she understood our wants, and put together a design board based on what we told her. She was flexible and happy to make any change we asked for, while also not being shy to provide advice given her experience. After interviewing Sarah, we looked at each other and just smiled, knowing she was the one. While planning our wedding, we would often ask married couples what their key piece of advice was, and heard the same thing over and over again - 'let go of the idea of everything being perfect, it won't be.' The day after our wedding, we woke up a married couple and spent the whole day marveling at how Sarah had quite literally given us the perfect wedding - exactly how we envisioned it. She is kind, empathetic, and extremely capable. If we had more room, we would write more - suffice it to say, we simply could not have been happier with Sarah. We are so thankful to her and her team for making our magical day so special!

Fantastic experience: When we found out we needed to have a wedding planner per our venue I definitely was sceptical. I found Sarah Ann weddings and events through a vendor list. I was out in contact with Paige for day of coordination and month leading up. I can honusay I am so grateful for having a wedding planner and could not have asked for a better individual! Paige was so on top of everything from day one of meeting her to the very end of our wedding night. She and her assistant on the day of our wedding were incredible. Everything was flawless! There truly are not enough superlatives that I can put here to describe Sarah and her talents. When our wedding day finally arrived, from getting ready to our sparkler send-off, every moment was flawless, just true perfection. Sarah's vision and execution are second to none and our wedding day was full of so many special memories thanks to her talents. Fantastic experience: Our wedding was an absolute dream come true and it would NOT have been possible without Sarah and her team. Trying to handle the rehearsal dinner vendors on my own was enough to show me just how much Sarah handled for the wedding. She was a joy to work with and made sure everything ran smoothly. She was patient with my myriad of questions during the planning process and guided me with her recommendations when I wasn't sure what to do/choose. Having Sarah for the rehearsal run through and the wedding day in particular, was a HUGE help - not just in making sure that everyone knew what to do and where to be, but in removing all stress from me as the bride. I knew she would have it covered or handle whatever popped up and that allowed me to really be present and enjoy the day. Her team did SO MUCH and Paige in particular was such a sweet person to spend my last few moments alone with before walking to meet my dad at the church entrance. Sarah made sure we ate dinner at the wedding and brought us food, drinks - whatever we needed. She even changed out my shoes for me since I couldn't bend over in my dress. Fantastic experience: IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A WEDDING PLANNER IN THE WILMINGTON OR SURROUNDING AREAS LOOK NO FURTHER! I was recommended Sarah Ann Weddings and Events from the venue that I was interested in. I wasn’t sure if the cost for a wedding planner was worth it but looking back it was one of the best decisions I made while planning my August 2024 wedding. Especially since I was planning my wedding from out of state and did not personally know any of the venues in Wilmington NC. I met Sarah for the first time at the wedding venue and showed her pictures and explained my vision. She was enthusiastic to hear my vision and give suggestions/tips along the way. After we met she set up everything onto her online platform which made everything so easy! On the platform, there were checklists which made the wedding planning process way less stressful (as someone who has never been married, I didn’t realize how many items could be on a checklist). With my wedding planning package Sarah helped coordinate with the venders which was the biggest help! I loved that she would give me quotes from the venders and let me change things as needed to help with our budget. I even changed my mind completely on florals at one point, in which Sarah pivoted so quickly and we found the perfect solution!!! Anytime I voiced concern or ideas Sarah was so positive and I absolutely loved that! I feel like she was there to completely support me throughout the whole process which made the biggest difference in my entire experience. The month of is when I really appreciated her attention to detail. She collected all of the loose ends and made sure everything was ready for the big day. I was very anxious on my wedding day but Sarah reassured me throughout the entire day. Everyone always says that something will go wrong on your wedding day - try not to stress. However, I can honestly say on my wedding day - nothing really went wrong and I give all the credit to Sarah and her AMAZING team. I had multiple family members and friends compliment how smooth the day went and how amazing the venders were (from the food to my amazing DJ all recommended by Sarah!) I could honestly go on and on but overall the take away from my wedding day is that Sarah Ann Wedding and Events is the best team to make your dream wedding day come true. Working with Sarah felt like I was working with a best friend and I loved the experience because of her. Fantastic experience: PAIGE PAIGE PAIGE!!! We had our wedding on 8/10/24 and literally could not have done it without Paige and Sarah. Paige was an absolute GEM to work with over the year of planning, she took so much off my plate and was super responsive, communicative, honest, easy to work with, and keep me so calm while a hurricane was coming the week of my wedding. Fantastic experience: Wow! I’m not even sure where to start, but all I can say is HIRE HER! My now husband and I had this dream of getting married on Bald Head Island, which seems to be nearly impossible as this was the complete opposite end of the state for us and we don’t have a house on the island. It was a destination venue for all of our friends and family. Not just a destination, but the only way you could get there or bring anything to the island is via ferry. But nevertheless, Sarah was up for the challenge! She quickly proved that this would be very possible and even as Type A as I am, and didn’t think I even needed much help from a planner, Sarah and her team made this whole wedding weekend stress-free, which allowed us to soak in every moment. She was on top of it and thought about every single tiny detail I never would’ve thought of alone. It was truly the best day of our lives. She was also very easy to work with to find the best prices for us - which isn’t easy in todays world. I don’t know how we could’ve gotten through without her! But we did it was ease! Everything was so perfect! We are so thankful for her and her team and would hire her again in a second! Maybe we can renew vows later ;)

Sarah is extremely kind, organized, professional, and has all the patience in the world! She was always prompt to answer my questions and gave fantastic feedback on items I was uncertain about. Our wedding day went perfectly, all thanks to Sarah and her team! Couldn’t recommend her more!

Fantastic experience: Getting engaged was one of the greatest moments of my life but every time I sat down to try and plan something, anything for the wedding, I would hit a road block and do nothing instead. After I could no longer use the "well, we just got engaged" excuse when people would ask me questions about the lack of wedding that was supposedly approaching, I knew I needed help. Enter: Sarah Ann - a true dream angel on earth!!! My fiancè and I immediately felt close to Sarah and she took over EVERYTHING! It was incredible! I don't know if you're like me where you think you can always find a better deal or a better something or if you're normal but I promise you, Sarah is reaching out to the BEST vendors and sending you back quotes from only the top of everyone she has reached out to so no need to do your own research, Sarah has you covered and wants your wedding to be just as beautiful, unique, and special as you do! We live in Colorado so were only able to meet Sarah in-person the weekend of our wedding but she was always only a text or phone call away, always responding right away whether we had a question 9 months before our wedding day or 2 days prior. I changed my mind on the teeniest things multiple times and she never made me feel like I was being 'too much', she would just reach out to the vendors and make the changes! We were also pleased to discover what a BOSS she is during our rehearsal dinner and wedding day (not in a mean way but in the way you need someone to be). She had everything planned out down to 15-minute increments so that I never felt crazed and everyone knew what was going on at every moment. She made my wedding day so relaxing (who gets to say that?!) and I actually got to enjoy every moment of it because I knew she was behind the scenes handling everything and everyone like the boss she is. Also, she and Paige and another assistant were just so lovely and kind, I wanted them to stop working so they could hang out with me all night! There are 1 million other things I could say about how wonderful Sarah is and how beautiful and perfect she made our day and what a delight she is to become friends with but I'll just say go with Sarah Ann Weddings and Events as your wedding planner and you can look forward to writing your own rambling review just like mine someday!
