Fantastic experience: As a Chicago based wedding photographer my experience with Jelena and Mimi has always great. They're incredibly organized, knowledgable, kind, and always give 100% for their client's enjoyment of the event. They're also great at coordinating that large team of vendors it takes to pull off a successful event. It's why I'm always thrilled when I see that they're the planners for any of my upcoming weddings. I know it's going to run as smoothly as possible and I love being on that team.

Fantastic experience: Jelena was picked as our wedding planner by a nonprofit that was throwing us a vow renewal. She worked, choosing all of our vendors, and coordinated their arrival, etc., for the event. She was so great, answering all of my dumb questions, and was just incredibly responsive all around. The day of the event, we could see quickly how much she loves her craft and how comfortable she is leading these types of events. She made what could have been an incredibly stressful day very easy on us.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to Jelena for an amazing vow renewal! We hired Jelena as our Day of Coordinator and she really delivered. We put together a fairly complex event with a lot of small special details for the day of and Jelena was all over them. Our venue gave us a short window for set up and tear down which meant Jelena did a lot of work to prep our vendors and to manage them on the day of to make sure all our little details were in order. On the day of, she even helped us transport some special items to the venue and tried to help us with a last minute item that we totally dropped the ball on. At the start of the event, while we were all nerves, she was cool as a cucumber and kept us and our vendors on track. In the end, it was a great event that went off really smoothly thanks to Jelena. We were very happy she was on our team!

Fantastic experience: Jelena and her team are absolutely wonderful. We worked with Jelena on partial planning and month of coordination. she stood out as very down to earth, realistic, warm and thoughtful after we had interviewed many different planners. Through the whole year prior to the big day, Jelena provided guidance and helped me through the process, answering questions, giving vendor recs, helping me develop my ideas, etc. On the actual day and month prior, Jelena made sure I didn’t have to do much at all leading up to the wedding, handling all my concerns with vendor finalization and final details. The wedding day was perfect and I didn’t feel like I had to be in charge or take over anything at all logistically, which made the day much more stress free for me and all the wedding party. My only regret was not doing full planning services. Seriously consider hiring Jelena and her team if you want a seamless and professional experience at a reasonable price!

Fantastic experience: I recently worked with Mimi at a wedding (I was the wedding DJ), and it was so smooth, stress free, and I would absolutely work with Mimi and her company again and again. We met at the venue walkthrough, and she was in constant communication with us, the vendors, and we were updated on any changes to the timelines, details, etc. She's great at her job, and I was beyond satisfied with her coordination, her expertise, and her cooperation throughout the entire evening. Fantastic experience: Where to begin! Jelena and her team were amazing from the start! Mirela “Mimi” was my day of coordinator and boy did she knock it out the park! Fantastic experience: Sometimes it’s really hard to put into words just how amazing a person is but I will do my best. Working with Jelena and her team single-handedly made our wedding day (and everything leading up to it) an absolute dream. The professionalism was the first thing we noticed with Jelena and then it was her honesty. Both of which are hard to come by these days. Planning a wedding can be scary, overwhelming, burdensome, confusing, and just an overall headache. Jelena takes all of that away which allowed us to actually enjoy the process and look forward to the day! She communicates so well and there was never a question of what was going on or where we were for the months leading up to the wedding. Any questions we had she always had an answer and if she didn’t, she would figure it out and get back to us literally the next day. Hiring her for a full planning service was the best investment for our wedding and I would hire her 10 times over if I could. She was always available and eager to help in any way that she could. She listened to our vision and executed it with absolute grace and precision. I don’t know how she does it, truly I don’t, because I could never do what she does. Jelena is an absolute angel. Fantastic experience: Where should I even start? Jelena and her team are the #1 reason my husband and I decided to move forward with our dream wedding, and I can’t begin to thank her enough for that. We chose her full wedding planning service, and she was INCREDIBLE. She is so friendly and easy to work with but will take charge in times of conflict and stress (which is inevitable when you are planning a wedding.) It may be tempting to try and cut costs anywhere you can when planning but I highly recommend not cutting out a planner, she is worth every penny. I met with many planners before I connected with Jelena and after our first zoom call, I knew she was different than the others. She made sure each vendor we selected fit in with our vision and more importantly our budget. She listened and brought our dream to life, even better than we could have imagined. It’s rare to find a planner who is willing to help with any and everything, she even helped me squeeze into my dress and carried my long heavy train in 95-degree weather. Even after our wedding she has kept in touch and made sure we are doing well. Jelena, you were made for this career and are impacting lives in big ways. Fantastic experience: I hired Jelena as the day of coordinator for my wedding in August 2023. I actually met her at the venue that we chose for our wedding day. She is so awesome. She gave me any support I needed from day 1. Constantly sending checklists, or helpful tips/recommendations to help me plan my wedding. She’s so organized and has so much experience, which made me feel comfortable on the day of the wedding. Fantastic experience: In June 2023, we had a 60 person backyard wedding which required many vendors and lots of coordinating given that we were not working with a typical wedding site. Jelena was our day of coordinator and super helpful in ensuring all the vendors were on time and week of communications with all the vendors. I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out and ultimately how the day went. We definitely had hiccups that occurred along the way but Jelena dealt with all of them and all of our friends/family had an absolute blast! She managed everything with grace and followed up with vendors when things didn't go according to what said vendors said they would do like set up certain things. I would say the service was relatively affordable and would highly recommend Jelena and her team for future weddings and events!

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience with Love Story Weddings and Events for our wedding in May! We opted for day of coordination after a year and a half of painstaking planning on our part. Working with Jelena and team on the day of our wedding and the weeks leading up to it came in clutch to save an OCD over-the-top bride’s sanity, and I couldn’t have been happier with the end result. From small details like addressing vendor dress code and making sure your cake topper is on, to huge efforts (at least in our case) like clean up - having the additional help so we (or our families) didn’t have to deal with anything extra on an already crazy, hectic, and emotionally charged day was the best thing we spent money on for our wedding! Jelena is very quick to respond throughout the process, and doesn’t make you feel like you’re ever wasting her time or rush you to make a decision. The recommendations she made for the schedule were amazing, and I’m so glad we made some adjustments to our originally planned timeline. She even went the extra mile and was gracious enough to transport one of our vendors from my parents house to the church for us! At first, my husband was skeptical on the idea of getting a day of coordinator (especially later in the planning phase as all our other final payments were all upcoming), but the day after the wedding he confessed he was so wrong in his doubts. That right there was worth every penny. :) Couldn't have pulled it off without Jelena and her team. Cannot recommend them enough if you’re looking to bring your Love Story to life!

Fantastic experience: Wedding planning is stressful even for the most organized person! I realized this and hired Jelena to help with our big day. Jelena was fantastic, we met multiple times over Zoom leading up to the wedding. She was so easy to communicate with (responds to text messages, e-mails and phone calls). We ended up adding her clean-up service onto my package and we are SO glad we did. Jelena helped box things up towards the end of the night so my family/friends weren't stuck doing that. Also Jelena has really great communication skills. You might have to have some tough conversations with your venue or with vendors -- Jelena helped me a lot with these and I really appreciated it. My only regret is not talking to Jelena earlier in the process. She has so much knowledge and experience about venues in NWI and Chicago. She can help find exactly what you are looking for.

Fantastic experience: A friend recommended Love Story Weddings and Events for some last minute wedding planning help, and Jelena was really helpful assisting with our day of event planning and logistical needs. She was very organized, quick to respond and on top of everything in the weeks leading into our big day. We had and issue with our transportation for the bridal party being delayed and Jelena took control, getting in touch with the driver and getting updates. This would have probably been overwhelming to deal with myself, in the midst of everything, so I was really grateful she was there to deal with and get us back on track. We hired Jelena as our day of coordinator for our themed Star Wars wedding and she completely blew us away!! For starters, she is very communicative, responsive, professional, and kind. We had a bit of a fiasco with our venue and she jumped right in and took over, making sure all of our wants and needs were being met. We had a number of unique decor pieces and described our vision, and she executed setting everything up beyond our expectations! From the beginning, she kept us organized in our planning and was always quick to respond to our questions whenever they came up. On the morning of the baptism, she arrived early and made sure the church was in order before leaving to coordinate the luncheon at our favorite local restaurant. We had decor to set up, a guitarist who came to perform, flower centerpieces being delivered and a photographer capturing everything for us, and she made sure all the moving parts worked seamlessly. Thanks to Jelena, we were able to sit and enjoy ourselves and visit with our friends and family. At the end, she also made sure any extra food and desserts were packed up for us to take home too. She was fabulous to us and our guests. We would gladly recommend her to anyone planning a special event!
