Experiencia negativa: Do not hire Mariah as your wedding planner if you expect basic human decency during a crisis. We signed a contract and paid a $1,000 retainer. Two weeks later, Kat’s grandfather was diagnosed with aggressive terminal cancer. We immediately contacted Mariah to cancel so we could move our wedding to be near him before it’s too late. She ignored us for nearly a week. Multiple texts. A follow-up. Phone calls. Silence. The moment we mentioned reversing the charge with our bank, she responded in less than 30 minutes. Thirty minutes. After a week of silence while we were dealing with a terminal cancer diagnosis in our family. When she finally did respond, she cited her contract and kept our entire $1,000 retainer - despite having done almost nothing beyond two phone calls. She acknowledged she had ‘months’ to rebook the date and still refused any meaningful refund. For context, every other vendor we contacted responded with immediate compassion and flexibility. The ranch we booked - a far more significant financial commitment - released our date without hesitation and wished us well. Mariah chose to ignore a grieving family for a week and only engaged when money was threatened. That tells you everything you need to know about her priorities. Plan your most important day with someone who actually cares about you.
Chase and Kat, I’m very sorry to hear about Kat’s grandfather’s diagnosis. Family health crises are incredibly difficult, and I truly wish your family comfort during this time.
For clarity for anyone reading this review, Chase and Kat contracted my Wedding Management services (day-of coordination), which reserve a specific event date well in advance so it is not made available to other couples.
As outlined in the signed agreement, the $1,000 retainer secures the event date and is non-refundable in the event of cancellation, regardless of how far in advance the event may be. This is standard practice for date-based services in the wedding industry.
While I understand this situation is emotional, I must apply the same contractual terms consistently to all clients. I did also let them know that if I am able to successfully rebook their original date, I would be open to discussing a partial refund at that time.
I truly wish them the best as they focus on their family during this difficult time.
Experiencia fantástica: As a wedding DJ, we have worked numerous times with Mariah and it always make my life easy. As DJs who have seen what happens when couples don't hire a planner, I'm always glad when I find out that Mariah is handling all the "details". This ensures that nothing gets missed and the couple can relax. As for me, the DJ, I can focus on what I do best and I know the rest of the event is in good hands. You can't go wrong hiring Details Details for that small minimony or large fairy tale wedding.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely amazing! Mariah and her team were on top of EVERYTHING! My husband and I had ABSOLUTELY no clue how to be a bride or groom and DIYd just about everything. I understand diy is not as concrete with things and there are soon many unexpected last minute issues but damn. Mariah and her team handled it like it was NOTHING. Wonderful work with wonderful people. We were always kept in the loop and we always felt like we were heard! 1000% recommend.
Experiencia negativa: Would have honestly been better if she took our money and ghosted us rather than flipping a 180 the day of the wedding upsetting myself and my husband over and over the whole day. Being so rude to my family and friends who were just trying to help when she didn't follow through with what was discussed for months. Saying she dropped the ball would be a huge understatement.

Experiencia fantástica: Mariah and Details Details team were just the best! I was unsure I needed a Wedding Planner as I have been a project manager for 20 years, but I knew one thing for certain! I did not want to be troubleshooting and solving problems in my wedding dress! Engaging Mariah frome the first phone call was easy and like minded, she quickly understood our needs and totally understood my concerns. Although we only contracted for the day of services, Mariah connected with us monthly as we started the countdown and provided some amazing vendors and advice. She helped with difficult caterers, suggested ways to make our ceremony magical, and made those last days up until the weddings so much less anxiety producing!! On the big day, with storm clouds forming, hail, lightning, rain, power outages, and a tornado warning she was calm and cool. She worked seamlessly with our venew coordinators to move us from a tent into a historic log cabin. She had everything setup and running smoothly for our guests too. An NOT ONCE did I hear a peep about any little problem. For a seasoned problem-solver that was sheer HEAVEN! Thanks Mariah!

My fiancé and I deliberately wanted to work with a non-traditional wedding planner who not only was competent and experienced, but enthusiastic about our idea to create a fantasy-inspired feast. Mariah was fantastic at helping us plan our non-traditional castle-set, upscale medieval wedding. Mariah was stellar on all fronts. She was flexible, organized, and brought a great sense of humor. Most importantly, she was someone we could be honest with to carry out our vision. Additionally, she made us feel like stars on the day of the wedding. She had a calm demeanor and really worked her magic to manage a smooth, beautiful, unforgettable day. Do not pass up the chance to work with her.
Experiencia fantástica: Mariah Lehnert, owner of detailsdetails is a logistical genius. She knows the small things that we would never know without experience with a wedding before. She also sticks to the plan and handled everything behind the scenes during the day so that you don't notice a thing. She worked within our budget, and also gave us monthly meetings leading up to our wedding. We could not do this without her. She handled every challenge that came our way the day of and no one noticed a thing. We had a lot of untraditional factors to our wedding and she rolled with it. One of the bigger items being we had a two part ceremony: first, with family only and second, with guests. It was communicated well with every vendor and every person who attended. Mariah and her assistant also played bouncer to the guests who tried to attend the first part and steered them into the right direction while they waited. There were no interruptions thanks to this team!

She's is not only an amazing talented professional, she’s also such a cool person. Mariah and team were super patient with all our questions during the planning process and during the days just prior to our wedding. She made the whole process of finding/recommending/choosing vendors easy and was amazing start to finish on the day. It ended up raining during our ceremony and she was calm, cool, and collected and got our guests and our party inside to finish the ceremony and start the reception. Not only did we have a great experience, our guests have nothing but rave reviews to say about our day.

Experiencia negativa: Details details…ehhhh not so much. We probably would have given a little higher of a rating had we not gotten an email recently from her in which she acted oblivious to what happened. If you want a day of coordinator that can point her finger and direct, she’s your gal, but be careful she may show up late AND she may show up in leggings and a tank top. When I say late I mean at least an hour late for our ceremony. $2500 and she showed up late to our ceremony(blaming it on the park attendants, yet our photographer was early). Then she told our guests “he’s not answering his phone”, it’s my wedding day and my coordinator isn’t on time I’m not looking at my phone I’m trying to coordinate things since my coordinator isn’t here. Then when we finally saw her she was wearing leggings, tennis shoes and a tank top, after we expressly told her the ceremonies dress code. Now we have pictures that she’s standing in the back ground of looking like a lost hiker. Reception day we had so many people come and complain about her rudeness, even to the people we asked to be our voice when we needed things. To the point they were all coming up to us at the reception saying it. It’s disheartening that we paid the most for her out of all of our vendors and we got the least amount of return on our investment. I’d gladly add more comments if needed BUT just know that any other negative review on here was exactly correct and we wish we would’ve read them before booking her

She helped us plan an amazing wedding during a pandemic as an out-of-state couple unfamiliar with the area and did an awesome job- we still have friends talking about it. She always reminded me that this was my wedding and no idea was a bad idea because it was my day and I could do what I wanted! Day of she took care of everything! Met with all vendors, set up everything! Coordinated everyone and everything! Everything was in her hands and she made it happen exactly how I wanted. You cannot go wrong with Mariah and Details Details!

Experiencia fantástica: Best DAY OF COORDINATOR EVER!!! Mariah was with me from the beginning as we began to plan our wedding in June 2019. We had a few meetings where we discussed our vision and feel for the wedding. SHe was completely on board and understood the look and feel we wanted. Then the Pandemic hit and we were faced with the choice to reschedule. Mariah offered ideas, opinions and support during this confusing time. She never declined a meeting or even a zoom to discuss our options and what to do. I leaned on her for a lot of advice and tips and she was so incredibly helpful. We were finally able to have our wedding 9.2.21 and the planning definitely paid off! I had a vision but I asked for her and her assistant's help to decorate my venue. I could not have been happier, more impressed and blown away by their artistic choices and attention to detail and my vision. On the management side, Mariah was incredibly professional, kept our day on schedule and fulfilled all of my requests. Her skills, professionalism and personality truly added to the beautiful day that it was!
Experiencia fantástica: Mariah is absolutely wonderful! My partner and I planned our wedding during the pandemic and from across the country. This meant that we had to decide on most vendors (including our venue) over Zoom and email, as well as do all our planning under the uncertainty of not knowing what kind of wedding it would be safe to have. Mariah was amazing at helping us navigate this entire process, and thanks to her planning our wedding was WAY less stressful than it could have been. She was especially helpful at always giving us different kinds of options for each vendor so that we could figure out what type we wanted (ex. we'd never hired a photographer before, and had no idea how many differents styles there were to choose from!). Thanks to her we had great vendors and an awesome wedding that we and our guests loved.

Experiencia negativa: I can’t even begin to express how disappointed I am with Mariah. My wedding was 3 weeks ago and I still have knots in my stomach from the horror show she had the day of. Originally I commented 5 stars after she asked me to leave a review. Initially she did a good job of coordinating things. When we got to the day of it was a complete nightmare. I have had every person of the wedding party tell me that she yelled at them and I’ve had sooo many guest complain about the lady with the Mohawk being extremely rude to them. It’s come to the point where my vendors are saying they will never work with her. I am so sad that SHE took away what was supposed to be the happiest day of my life. She is definitely in the wrong industry. Details details??? There were so many details we discussed that were left out.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. This obviously isn't the outcome either of us desired and I hate that you have knots in your stomach after your wedding! I truly would never wish that one anyone. It's my perspective that the issues with your wedding can be traced back to there being significantly more guests attending than discussed and continued miscommunication.
I appreciate that you enjoyed the planning process together. However, you opted to not follow our advice regarding RSVPs, capacity limits and hiring full service vendors. That being said, we take every review very seriously and appreciate this opportunity to reflect on our processes. We pride ourselves on customer service and going forward we plan to set firmer boundaries when clients are failing to consider industry best practices. Allowing your wedding to go forward without a professional florist or a plan in place for double the allowed guests at your ceremony is our biggest regret and I am sincerely sorry.

Experiencia fantástica: Mariah was incredible in making our wedding day perfect. We had been planning for 2 years (due to pandemic rescheduling), and though we thought we had everything organized, she helped put on the finishing touches. She reviewed all our documents and made corrections/adjustments to timelines, plus additional suggestions to make the day go smoother (ex: she looked up an IronMan event which would've delayed our shuttle and timeline the day of the wedding). We had vendors cancel or were dropped just before the wedding as well, and she provided recommendations that turned out to be fantastic. Wish we could get married again so we could work with her more (maybe 20 yr anniversary planning).
Experiencia fantástica: I contacted Mariah about 2 months before my wedding looking for a day-of coordinator. I was planning a very DIY wedding at a large VRBO rental and had originally planned to do all of the setup and day-of coordination myself, with the help of my friends and family. I started to become concerned with the amount of work I was asking my guests to do, so I hired Mariah primarily to help with the setup and decorating on the day of the wedding. And I am SO GLAD I did- Mariah literally saved the day and allowed me and my guests to be present and enjoy our day rather than running around like chickens without heads! Long story short- we had planned for an outdoor ceremony and reception, but mother nature had other plans. We experienced rain and thunderstorms starting around lunchtime. When Mariah showed up, I said "We've had a change of plans, and we need to figure out how to do everything inside," and she took it and ran with it! She figured out how to reconfigure the inside of the rental to hold the ceremony, and made sure everything was elegant and beautifully decorated. After the ceremony was finished and we were outdoors taking photos (the rain had stopped by then), she completely flipped the space to hold long banquet tables and room for the caterer and bar. It was absolutely gorgeous! She definitely took the time to understand what was important to us and the atmosphere we were looking for, and made that happen. From a bride's perspective, it was flawless- everything happened smoothly and I was able to truly enjoy my wedding day, even with all of the last minute changes. My friends and family were extremely impressed at how beautiful everything was and how smoothly the day went. I HIGHLY recommend Mariah!! If you're on the fence- just do it!!
Experiencia fantástica: Mariah made our pandemic wedding-planning process more than manageable with her kindness, humor, well-appointed network of stellar vendors, and thorough attention to details. Her company's name is on point! We valued our relationship with Mariah, as we trusted her to follow through with other vendors on myriad odds and ends, including more challenging conversations when things were not going to plan. She rose to the occasion in every way. As an interracial couple having an intercultural wedding, we also really appreciated her emphasis on inclusivity -- her work with LGBTQIA couples helped us trust that she could work with us and our diverse community too. Plus, our vendors trusted her implicitly. Our 125-person wedding with multiple events (rehearsal dinner, welcome reception, ceremony in a church with a simultaneous watch party, and reception), flowed marvelously thanks to her expert efforts.

Experiencia fantástica: From the moment my wife and I had our initial consult with Mariah, we knew she was the one who would make our wedding dreams come true. She is extremely experienced, professional, knowledgable on all things wedding, LGBTQAI+ friendly, and just a genuinely cool person. Her pricing is extremely reasonable compared to other coordinators we contacted, and I must say, it was money well spent! We hired her as our day-of coordinator, but she worked with us throughout the entire process. I sent her many e-mails over the course of 6+ months leading up the wedding, and she was so responsive and helpful. Mariah was always willing to guide is through the many details involved in planning a wedding, from obtaining a marriage license to coordinating with vendors and everything in between. It gave us a huge sense of security during a chaotic time. On the day of our wedding, she was an absolute rockstar! No detail was overlooked. We didn't have to worry about a single thing because she took care of it all. Our wedding was a huge success and we attribute so much of it to Mariah.
Experiencia negativa: I'm sorry to write this because I'm sure things could have gone differently if not for the pandemic, but - We contracted with Mariah to help with a large wedding in June. We met up and spoke a few times to help us understand changing dynamics and put things in order and we enjoyed talking with Mariah. When it became clear that our event would be canceled due to COVID, however, Mariah was not responsive and did not offer even a partial refund for the $1150 we had already paid her. While I understand that the pandemic must have been a hardship for event planners, it was also a loss for us and extremely disappointing to not at least hear anything in response.
Experiencia negativa: She was initially awesome. She was very personable and easy to talk to. But I constantly had to reach out to her, No initiative. As the day was getting closer I realized I would be answering more of her questions about how I wanted the day to go, because she took no initiative nor made the effort to help plan it. (What I was paying her to do) I sent messages via text and made several phone calls to her and she would only reply via email. I have a job where I get hundreds of emails in a day, when I’m planning a wedding, and in the week of, I’m not always checking that! She did not reach out to verify communication ever. I understood that I was not her only client, and I neglected my instinct of acting sooner to be accommodating and patient.....that was my mistake. I am so unbelievably dissatisfied and appalled at this kind of service I’m surprise she even has the audacity to call herself a planner. She did give us some recommendations that we did use and that is about the only Good thing that came out of this business relationship. When I finally came to the realization that this was not going to work I asked for a refund of a part of the money, asked for $1000 back. Still giving her $300 which I believed to be more than fair considering I came to her for desperate help and ended up getting royally screwed. Again, the only help that she actually provided was giving me names, phone numbers, and emails of rental companies.....she didn’t even call to get quotes, Or availability for us. I disputed the charges with my bank but I’m sure she’s well aware and knows, because it was processed through Venmo the bank will not honor it even though The services were not provided due to the transaction type. I would highly recommend doing more research if you’re looking for a good planner because my experience was absolutely one of the worst ones I’ve ever had.
Experiencia fantástica: Mariah was a huge help both during the planning process, and day-of! She was responsive and on top of things from the very beginning, giving us peace of mind knowing that no detail would be overlooked. My fiancé, who is beyond type-A, was pretty particular about certain things, had lots of details that he wanted handled in a specific way, minute by minute timelines, etc. Mariah took notes on everything and addressed all of his concerns before he could even begin to stress. She handled our rehearsal with ease, met with our officiant (who was a friend) to ensure he was prepared and that our ceremony would flow, and arrived early day of to help our other vendors set up. Throughout the evening, anything we needed-- from my groom's suit coat for sunset photos, to another glass of champagne for my party animal mother-- Mariah was there. Hiring Mariah all over would be a no-brainer.
