As an October 2025 bride with a shorter engagement, I was unsure of how everything would come together, but Jana brought our vision to life and created the most perfect and magical day for us! She was always extremely kind, encouraging, and professional and bent over backwards to help us secure the best vendors who were always at or below our price point. Jana was always on top of things and made us feel so confident and at peace leading up to our special day. She made sure that every was taken care of and that on the wedding day, we could relax knowing everything was handled and that we were in good hands. Her knowledge and expertise in design took her services to another level, and our wedding was even more beautiful than we could have ever expected. Jana is an event planner who you can trust the most special day of your life to and have absolutely nothing to worry about! Besides the decision my husband and I made to marry each other, choosing Jana was the best decision we made throughout the entire wedding planning process!

Experiencia fantástica: From the very first phone call, we knew Jana was going to blow us away. On that first phone call, she did not try to sell us anything. She genuinely cared about our love story and wanted to be apart of it. Over the next year and a half, she checked in to make sure we were booking vendors when necessary. She set up meetings with rentals and florists. She helped us design how we wanted our tables to look along with reaching out directly to florists. As the day got closer, she directly reached out to all vendors, created an extensive timeline, created layouts (including rain plans) and helped us stay super organized as we did a lot of DIY. On the actual day of the wedding, Jana was a rock star. It makes sense that she comes so highly recommended. From the morning to the evening, Jana made sure things ran smoothly. Any hiccup that came up, she handled with grace and continued to check in with us to make sure our vision was coming to life. We DIYed a lot of decor, and Jana was able to create a layout in which our decor truly came to life. She has a such a great eye for this. From the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, and the reception, everything looked absolutely beautiful. Many guests came up to us to say how much they loved Jana, because she was such a boss lady, but also so respectful about it. The day could not have been possible without her. We love Jana!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I got married on 10/11/2024 at Wrightsville Manor and Jana & her team made sure we had the absolute best day ever!!!! I chose to plan most of the wedding and leverage Jana and her team for 2 months out & day of and I cannot recommend Jana enough. I interviewed other planners before booking Jana and from the first day and throughout planning she was genuine, welcoming, thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was planning my wedding out of state and luckily a wedding we were invited to also used Jana so we got to meet her after booking and she is just as dynamic in person as on video and email :) I felt like I was prepared before our big meeting but Jana really helped fill in any gaps, make recommendations, and work w the vendors. The last month of finalizing everything was seamless and she ensured everything and everyone was on the same page with the schedule and expectations. Her knowledge of other vendors and Wilmington is great - she has a wealth of knowledge and a great eye for design. We definitely felt well prepared for our big day. I showed up on the wedding morning in complete bliss knowing I had Jana there. I came with a bunch of totes organized by their respective space, and Jana and her team set up and styled everything beautifully. Jana understood the assignment yall. She asked me one question about picture frames and thats it besides can I get you anything? Lol Our day was so perfect, smooth, and carefree - we didn’t want the night to end and if our vendors weren’t already booked out for next year wed do it all over again. Jana and her team went above and beyond to make sure I had the wedding of my dreams and took as much stress off of me as they could. Most people say something will “go wrong” on your wedding day, but everything went so smooth and we did not skip a beat and that’s thanks to Jana and her team! For the design, I showed Jana some pictures and ideas on what I liked and she 10000% executed it, I could not be happier! Experiencia fantástica: My husband (still getting used to that) and I live in Arkansas but I wanted a wedding in NC since I grew up in Eastern NC so I knew I needed a great planner to bring our wedding vision to life (especially planning one while we are 17 hours away). I interviewed 4 different planning companies in the Wilmington area before I hired Jana and the Design a Dream team. She built her business from the ground up and it was obvious how much she loved what she does. My main wedding concern was that I didn't know how to bring my vision to life and I needed help with the design aspect. She is so cute, friendly and has great taste so that also made her an easy choice. The entire process was fantastic. She was responsive, she was organized, she asked questions I hadn't even considered and the thing I appreciate most is that she was willing to jump on the phone with a DIY flower company I hired. That was a lot of additional work and time for everyone but Jana handled it patiently and professionally. She ended up having to completely construct the florals on the fireplace mantel in our venue and it was STUNNING. I was blown away! Our guests even spoke with her and commented on how kind and friendly she was (one guest said, "as opposed to a drill sergeant"). We truly can't recommend Jana and her team enough. I know I'm not giving her team credit but they busted their butts behind the scenes because it was a giant project to put together. Thank you all for literally Designing our Dream wedding.

My experience as the Mother of the Bride was nothing short of completely satisfied. Jana was a joy to work with, she was always upbeat, never rude or bossy, and unbelievably qualified. She will start by capturing your vision and will share ideas and make suggestions without being pushy. She keeps you on track and informed. Her attention to detail means nothing is overlooked. Her professional relationships with local vendors makes it possible for her to deliver on any wish you have for your big day. Every time we had an idea, she knew how and who could make it happen. As we entered the last few weeks before the wedding I told Jana I was getting a little stressed. Her immediate response was that it was her job to make sure I wasn’t stressed, and from that moment on she did just that. My daughter’s bridesmaids all said they had never been in a wedding with such a nice wedding planner. At the end of the wedding evening I told her how happy I was with her and her team at Design a Dream. Her response was “I love what I do”. It showed in so many ways. For reference, we utilized her full planning package. It was worth every penny!

Experiencia fantástica: Pam & Jana are the dynamic duo that everyone needs in their corner during the wedding planning process! As everyone knows, wedding planning can be very stressful. However, all it took to take my stress away was a phone call with these two! I got married in Wilmington but live in Nashville, TN, so there were many meetings & site tours that I was not able to attend in person. I didn’t worry a bit about this because I knew Pam & Jana would take all the right notes and ask all the right questions on my behalf (and even FaceTime me in so I could be there virtually)! A few months into wedding planning, we had a last minute venue change due to circumstances out of our control. With the help of Pam & Jana, we had a new (and even better!!!!) venue locked down within a week. With the new venue came an entirely different plan for the wedding as we shifted from a predominately indoor reception to an all outdoor tented reception. It was everything I could have dreamed of and more and I am so incredibly grateful for them! On the wedding day, Pam was always right by my side when I needed her- making sure we ate, had our drink of choice, and keeping everything moving! I am an admitted control freak, and thanks to her I was able to relax and enjoy my wedding day to the fullest extent. Today marks one month since our wedding day, and my husband and I are still smiling! Thank you Pam & Jana for truly designing my dream! So much love for y’all!

Experiencia fantástica: Look no further- Design a Dream is your wedding planner. Jana and her team are PERFECT. I am not even sure where to begin. I have so many wonderful, positive things to say about Jana and her team at Design a Dream Events. Our wedding was in Wilmington but we are from Charlotte and having her and her team there on the ground helping with contracts, vendors, meetings, tastings, you name it, was an absolute life savor. I lost my mom 7 years ago so even though my mother in law helped a lot in ways- I really was left to do this on my own and I was pretty overwhelmed to start off. Making the decision to go with Design a Dream was the easiest and best thing I have ever done. Every step in the process was so seamless and easy. I never stressed about any of it at all- not even once. Jana is the most organized and professional person I think I have ever met. All the vendors she recommended were PERFECT the day and events around it were PERFECT , all of our guests loved her and her team, and she even helped to calm my nerves the day of the wedding. All of my bridesmaids and the groomsmen/ family loved her as well and could instantly tell how professional and on top of everything she was. I cried thanking her at the end of the night because honestly, I don't know what I would have done without her and her expertise. I could go on and on, but Jana and her team at Design a Dream are by far the best wedding planners/ event team in Wilmington. Whatever you do- pick them and I promise you will not be disappointed. I truly don't know how I would have navigated this process without her! There are so many pieces that go into the big day and I would have been completely overwhelmed without her! Pam did an amazing job coordinating all of our vendors contracts, arrival times, timelines, etc. Then on the day, Jana was a super hero. She wears every hat you need her to and does anything you ask. We were able to enjoy our wedding because Jana would take care of everything seamlessly before we were even aware of a problem. Jana and her team are extremely professional and good at what they do and we highly recommend using them as your wedding planner!!

I genuinely think in this industry, vendor responsiveness can make or break your wedding planning experience. Jana and her team responded to messages so fast, and with so much clarity, that I never felt alone or without direction in the wedding planning process. They also were very mindful of budget, my likes/dislikes, and made thoughtful recommendations without pushing us in one direction or another. They were so supportive on every decision and felt like a friend throughout the wedding planning process. In addition, their organization is TOP NOTCH from the start through the wedding day. As soon as the contract was signed, we immediately received all of the documents to get me started on the planning process. We had a check-in as the wedding date approached to make sure everything was buttoned up, and Jana is 100% the reason that I was *literally* stress-free two months out from our wedding date. She was so organized throughout the process and made sure we had everything we needed to ensure a successful wedding day, that nearly everything was wrapped up around the 60-day mark. We had a thorough rehearsal and felt so confident with Jana and her team leading our wedding day. The timelines were built out so thoroughly, to 15-minute increments, and not a detail was missed. On our wedding day, we had a slight curveball with an unexpected thunderstorm that popped up (typical North Carolina coastal weather!), and Jana turned into a superwoman (more than she already is) to make sure our day was still as perfect as we envisioned. She was literally blowing water off of our chairs from the sudden rainstorm with a leaf blower - she thinks of EVERYTHING. The whole night was perfect from start to finish. We were able to be guests at our own wedding, eat a meal together, and genuinely soak up every minute with no stress, all because of Jana and her team. If you want a team that is going to go above and beyond to make sure your day is absolutely perfect *AND* stunning, and it feels like you're working with a bestie in a judgment-free zone, then just hire Design a Dream and thank me later. :)

Jana was our wedding planner, and from the second we had our first conversation with her, through our wedding day, she was absolutely amazing to work with. She created the most beautiful floorpan for us and was able to make our vision come to life. On top of that, her and her team were extremely responsive. I seriously could not have asked for a better wedding planner. Due to our wedding being held in July, my husband and I decided to have our ceremony and reception held inside, and because of this, Jana and her team had to flip the space in one hour from the ceremony to the reception. From previous conversations and reviews, I knew Jana would be able to execute this, but I was so blown away when I actually saw the final product. She absolutely nailed it!! Everything we discussed was executed perfectly. She really went above and beyond. Also, on our wedding day, she was on top of everything and was so attentive to my husband and I. She always made sure we were on schedule and had something to eat and drink. I loved working with her and her team and would highly recommend them!

We live in New York and believed having a full time planner would make our lives easier. At the bare minimum do yourself a favor and hire her for week of! You need her there on your special day! After being a part of another wedding party we were now able to fully appreciate just how good Jana is at her job. It’s clear that her experience and attention to detail put her in another league of wedding planners. With her help you can rest easy on your big day for a guaranteed 10/10 event. Here’s why she rocks: 1. She defines southern hospitality! We felt like family and genuinely miss our emails/calls weekly. 2. Share your Pinterest board with Jana and she will help you achieve your vision! I designed my vision and then completely redesigned it when the wedding got closer and Jana worked tirelessly through it all. 3. ***Rehearsal was short but DETAILED! Jana shared all of the tips to make sure our wedding party knew how to play their part and make sure we all looked great. This was something I hugely appreciate and found so useful even more so now after being in other wedding parties. 4. Jana knows how a wedding should flow. She made sure everything was on time and all our guests were where they needed to be and having a great time. 5. You’ll always have a cocktail in your hand on your special day thanks to Jana and her team. This list could continue on and on! I will point out that we booked Jana for full planning over a year before our wedding. Immediately I was in wedding planning mode but you need to know that as a planning company Jana and her team have multiple weddings every weekend! My wedding wasn’t on the top of their list 18 months out although it was always on the top of my list. Be patient. Everything falls into place and everything will be above your expectations. Experiencia fantástica: Incredible!! Our wedding was beyond my expectations thanks to Pam!! Our wedding was an absolute dream and there is no way I could’ve done with without Design a Dream. I was luckily enough to work with Pam and she really went above and beyond in every aspect. She made sure everything was set up exactly as we asked, she kept us all calm and in order, she made sure everything that day and the days leading up were stress free for us. Experiencia fantástica: I could not recommend Jana and her team enough!!!! From our first phone call, I knew Jana was going to be amazing. She asked all the right questions to get to know me and my vision, and I could tell she really understood what I was going for. From the start, Jana was completely on top of everything. 10 months out, we were picking flatware, linens, chairs, etc. — all the things I would have forgotten about and pushed til the last minute. She was so helpful in each decision and took care of ordering everything, keeping track of it all. She helped find ways to repurpose flowers from the ceremony to the reception, had wonderful ideas to help give the spaces depth and dimension, she knew what sizes I needed and how much I should put where. From every tiny detail to all the big things, Jana was an enormous help. Planning was rarely stressful, and that was 100% due to Jana. The wedding day was an absolute dream, and everything was completely seamless. If anything at all went wrong, I had no idea because was right there to fix it. She gathered my personal belongings after the event to make sure they got to my hotel, she made sure my husband and I always had everything we needed, every vendor was exactly where they needed to be. I could go on and on! The reality is, no one cares about your wedding quite as much as you do. That said, my biggest piece of wedding planning advice is to find vendors who understand your vision and truly care about helping it come to life. That, without a doubt, IS Jana. She exceeded every expectation and helped make my day everything I dreamed of!

Experiencia fantástica: If you’re looking for the best coordinator and design team, look no further. Seriously, Jana and her team quite literally designed my dream wedding! My husband and I are from Georgia, so we were a little scared to plan an out-of-state wedding. The first time I spoke with Jana, I knew off the bat that she was the perfect person to help with our wedding and that it would be so easy with her! She is so knowledgeable about the industry, she is honest, and she is so much fun to get to talk to. She and her team are so organized and prompt. I told her what my husband and I were looking for, and she helped create something beyond my wildest dreams. I seriously could not believe how beautiful my wedding was, and not only that, but how smoothly it all went! I was always told by friends, family, etc. to expect something to go wrong on wedding day. Experiencia fantástica: Where do I begin? I found Design A Dream Events from the preferred vendors list from our wedding venue, Wrightsville Manor, and while day-of coordination was required, I really wanted some extra help as I was planning the wedding across the country, working full time, and in my Masters program. I was deciding between multiple planners, but ultimately after my call with Jana, I just knew she understood me and my vision and so I chose Design A Dream. Our wedding got assigned to Laiken (which can be scary as I had only spoken to Jana so far), but I can say now that I wouldn't have wanted it any other way!! I booked Design A Dream for partial planning & design, which meant that they also managed all design aspects and accounts (rentals, florals, etc.) This was suuuuper helpful as they are already very knowledgeable of those vendors and have relationships with them to help guide you and bring your vision to life. They handle all correspondence with them, so you don't even have to lift a finger with those accounts. They provide you with multiple helpful, detailed documents (like how much to tip vendors, etc.), a floral questionnaire & call to match you with the best florist, full layouts of all spaces, meetings at the rental companies to build your table setting, and a full walk through of the venue, just to name a few. While I am already very "Type-A" and detail oriented, having a planner like Laiken to guide me and talk through all my options and choices was priceless. And I will say - she kept me sane many times throughout the planning process when a wrench was thrown our way! Fast forward to wedding weekend, and OMG, I could not have survived without Laiken and Design a Dream!! We had a last-minute change to our escort display idea, which she fought to make happen and kept following up with to finalize the days before our wedding. Also, after days of watching the rain forecast, we had to make the last minute decision the day before to book a tent for cocktail hour. Laiken worked her magic with vendors to keep the tent and existing add-ons (fans & chandeliers) for our wedding day and I didn't have to stress at all. On wedding day, Laiken also had to manage a possible rain decision on if we could have our ceremony outdoors. She did an amazing job at keeping me informed, but ultimately, taking the lead and making the best decisions for our wedding day. Everyone from my bridal party, to family, to guests spoke so highly of our Design A Dream coordinators, as they could tell they were working so hard and keeping it all organized. Even my now husband, Stephen, said having Design A Dream and Laiken was the best money we spent on our wedding! I felt so at ease on the day of my wedding and was truly able to let go and trust her (which, if you are the Type-A/perfectionist type, you know how hard that can be), and it turned out to be the best day of our lives and so much more beautiful that I could have ever imagined, so all I can say is THANK YOU SO MUCH! My dream wedding would not have been possible without Laiken and Design a Dream.

The entire year of planning happened smoothly and on the day of the wedding , we did not have to worry about a single thing. It flowed smoothly, and Jana directed us through the entire day. She paid attention to every little detail throughout the whole process and was the most organized human being I have ever met. She listened to my ideas and elevated them with her ideas as well. I was never worried when working with her - she took care of everything and was a top notch communicator. Everything about my wedding was perfect and it’s all thanks to her. Nothing went wrong, no details were missing, everyone knew their timelines, it was PERFECT. She truly was the BEST event planner and is such a genuine person. Although I’m happy wedding planning is over, I will miss it since it meant I got to work with her.

I have always had an idea of what I wanted my wedding to look like, but knew I needed help bringing all of my ideas together. Because of this, I chose to elect the "Design Service and Planning" package with Jana and her wonderful team. It was the most perfect service for me and I know I would not have been able to have the wedding of my dreams without Jana and Laiken. They took the time to sort out all of my ideas and blend them into the most beautiful "Boho Chic Timeless Garden Party" wedding I could have ever imagined. From the initial phone call, I knew Jana and Laiken were the team for me! They have excellent communication skills, are prompt with their responses, offer honest advice, are so creative and down to earth. I felt as though Laiken was a girlfriend helping me plan my wedding. She was the absolute best! Jana and Laiken helped me communicate with vendors, taking care of most of the communication themselves, sort out details and narrow down choices. Also, they work with the very best vendors in NC!! I am not sure what I would have done without them- it would have been a very stressful 9 months to say the least! Laiken was amazing working with our family and friends at the rehearsal and on the wedding day. She made sure everything went seamlessly- I never knew if there were any issues happening. I first started working with Jana over a year out from our wedding and although I originally didn't plan on hiring a wedding planner I'm SO glad I did. We planned from out of state and she was so helpful throughout the process with every detail, question and vendor I threw her way. Where her team really shined though was the day of our wedding. Our ceremony got rained out and her team did not miss a single beat as they flipped everything and managed all of our guests on sight as it was happening. It's crazy how quickly everything moved and while there were many decisions to be made, Design a Dream SHINED in every single one. I had absolute zero stress day of because of them and I couldn't imagine being able to enjoy my day any other way! You know you chose the right planner when your guests come up to you and compliment you on how amazing she is at everything she was doing - her team even signed our guest book at the end of the night! Jana also knew I was so concerned on how all of our little details came together and she made sure to send me a ton of amazing pictures after the wedding was over. Experiencia fantástica: First of all, I can NOT say enough GREAT things about Jana and her team at Design-A-Dream. From the week I got engaged (April 2020) to the day I got married (June 2021), I was nothing less than impressed. Jana thoroughly walked through every piece of the design process and offered advice to us that we never even knew we needed. Our day was EVERYTHING that I have ever dreamed of. She knew my vision and brought it to life. Her team is professional and are "go-getters", but they also shine with the best and fun personalities. I felt comfortable in knowing that everything was handled and I was able to actually ENJOY my wedding day. Jana stuck with me through mostly the whole wedding (from photos to dress change) and kept my nerves as good as they could possibly be. Experiencia fantástica: I never thought a wedding planner would be necessary but at our venue they required a day of planner and as I got into the planning process I thought again, that a planner may be helpful! I did the partial planning package with Design a Dream and boy am I happy I did. Jana listened to everything I had to say openly and gave her honest advice which was very helpful. We got married at Wrightsville Manor in Wilmington and she seemed to know the venue like the back of her hand. She came up with many different layouts for the wedding and reception which was so nice because I wouldn't know where to begin if I had to place everything. Jana may be the most organized person I know. She remembered all of the things I wanted and mentioned. You can also see how much she cares about her clients through her work. If what I said wasn't realistic or not exactly doable she would tell me and / or think of a way to make something work that was similar or even better then I wanted. You could tell she wanted our day to be perfect just as much as we did. On my wedding day Jana and her team were there and didn't waste time getting to work. Jana was like a drill sergeant in a way where she knew how to command a room confidently but did it in a kind and respectful way. She helped me in so many ways on my day that I am so grateful for. I didn't have my seating chart display really thought out too well. She offered to use a mirror from her house to put the seating cards on and it looked perfect. A mirror from her house!!!! I thought that was the most thoughtful offer. We also thought we ordered a shelf to put champagne glasses on for a welcome drink but we did not, yet Jana came to the rescue and repurposed the bar cart that was in the bridal suite and it was just splendid. My wedding was a dream for my husband and I. It was amazing to see all of our ideas come to life and Jana and her team made that happen. They absolutely hit the ball out of the park. Our day would not have been the same without Jana and her team. Forever grateful for her and her team for making our dream wedding come true. I would highly, highly recommend her. We originally began working with Jana when planning our wedding in Wilmington. Given the difficulties of planning a wedding out of town during COVID, we decided to shift plans and move our wedding to our backyard in Holly Springs, NC. Knowing that it would be difficult to plan for the wedding without seeing the space, Jana drove 4+ hours round trip to come out and see our house and give us recommendations. She completely put our minds at ease by giving us perfect advice on how to best navigate a backyard wedding during a pandemic. On the wedding day, her team took care of every singly detail flawlessly. I did not have to worry about a single thing, and everything turned out more beautiful and perfect than I ever could have imagined. Jana is truly one-of-a-kind. She is not only amazing at her job, she is also incredibly sweet and fun. I have been to quite a few weddings, and I have never heard so many compliments from guests on how great the wedding coordinator is! Look no further for a wedding planner because Jana and her team are truly incredible. I was one of the lucky ones (haha) that had to postpone due to COVID. We were ready to give up on the idea of having a wedding and thought it would be impossible to execute during such a crazy time. With Jana's expertise, vendor relationships, constant reassurance and dedication she made all of our wedding dreams come true. Any time I had a doubt, question, or minor (major) breakdown, she was always there to answer any phone call/text or email to reassure me that everything will work out, everything will be beautiful and it will still be the BEST DAY EVER. She made wedding planning SO fun and exciting and very, very organized. I had so many people ask me throughout all of the postponement craziness how I was doing and every time I would say, if I didn't have Jana I think I would've lost my mind at this point! Not only was she a rockstar during the planning process, but she made everything run so smoothly on our wedding day. So many friends & family came up to me and asked who is that?! I NEED her for my wedding. I can't say enough good things about Design A Dream, I could go on and on with how amazing her and her team was. Experiencia fantástica: Jana and her team at Design a Dream Events were BEYOND amazing in the events leading up to and on my wedding day. I am forever grateful for them. Especially during such a difficult time to plan a wedding, Jana and her team were so flexible and always answered me immediately whether it via email, phone call, etc. When I decided to still have my wedding despite COVID and with a very small guest count, I was so overwhelmed with how to make my original plans carry over into something I would still love. Jana helped me essentially re-plan and re-organize my entire wedding and took so much stress off of my plate. In addition, all of my vendors knew her so well that she was always able to help me find deals and recommend the best people whether it be flowers, music, etc. On the day of my wedding, Jana and her team literally took care of EVERYTHING. I was expecting to be super busy the day of, but I had so much fun because Jana handled everything for me. From set up to the event and reception and everything in between, they made sure everything went perfectly. Her team always got me and my (now) husband where we needed to be (ensuring we got to do everything we had planned) and made sure we had anything we needed all day long. Experiencia fantástica: My fiancé and I hired Jana and the Design a Dream team for our wedding, which was initially planned for May 9th 2020. Once the spread of COVID-19 began a couple of months before our original date, we quickly realized that our ceremony and reception were most likely not going to happen as originally planned. When we decided to indefinitely postpone our wedding, Jana immediately got in touch with all of our vendors and took over communication in what was an extremely stressful time. She checked in on us regularly and was a huge support in what was a pretty heartbreaking decision. Fast forward a couple of months, and we decided we wanted to go ahead and get married in a small, intimate ceremony in our family's backyard. We utilized all of our original vendors, and Jana + team flawlessly executed what ended up being the most perfect wedding we could have asked for! Every detail came together exactly how we imagined all thanks to the Design a Dream team. Jana coordinated communication between vendors and ensured every detail was in place. Not to mention, the entire team was conscious of all COVID-19 precautions - they arrived in masks, set up sanitizing stations, and ensured proper social distancing measures. I would recommend Design a Dream to any Bride to Be, and am forever grateful to Jana and her team for making our wedding day so special.

Experiencia fantástica: Have you ever seen someone's work and without meeting them, knew that when that special time came around without a shadow of a doubt you had to use them? And, after meeting them, your gut feeling that took you there to begin with proves you right. Jana is that person. Luckily for me, Jana and I had been friends for a few years and I knew I would always use her as my planner. Jana was made to be a planner and in the wedding industry she is someone you want to go through the process with. As overwhelming as weddings can be, one thing I knew for sure is that there needs to be a plan and structure. I put off planning my wedding for three years because the thought of it already stressed me out. Once I locked arms with Jana and her amazing team, a sense of peace came over me. I would have been lost without her during the whole process. I came to her with a list of ideas and inspiration. I wish I could say I was one of those people that had ONE vision from the get go. She took all my ideas and helped me to create that one vision. She offered ideas without ever making me feel like she was pushing me into doing them. Through the many changes I made, she always made it happen. I also always had questions. Between the novel emails and pictures I constantly sent, she always answered me back with patience. She stayed in close contact with my vendors and always kept me in the loop. Jana is organized, professional, and efficient. She was there for my many breakdowns and always remained calm and caring. She was not only there for through the process, but for us a couple. She always has a smile on her face and keeps in upbeat even when you don’t. We were in this together and she truly made me feel that way. She was there through IT ALL! Then there is the month of where the nerves and extra stress kick in. She presented me with a timeline and day of coordination. She even had something for my husband, the bridesmaids, and the groomsmen. Talk about organized! The day of comes and throughout the day her and her team were on top of everything, including checking on me and making sure I was okay. From the time I met her until the day of, Jana was there. And that is what you want when you go through the wedding planning process. Experiencia fantástica: I’m trying to sit and think about how I can write a review that reflects the absolute gratitude we have for Design a Dream events. Our wedding was this Saturday and it was by far the most incredible day of my life. Jana has been planning this wedding with me for almost an entire year. She has been there for us at all of our meetings, she led me to all the best vendors, she’s answered well over 100 emails from me. Our planner has been honest, open, full of advice and guidance leading up to this incredibly important day in our lives. The entire process was dealt with such professionalism and promptness. The day of our wedding, Jana and her team made sure that everything was perfect. She kept our 20 person wedding party in place and dealt with everyone with grace, kindness and a perfect amount of assertiveness. The four of them on our wedding day set everything up perfectly, stuck to the awesome timeline created for us, made sure all guests were comfortable and guided in the right direction and made sure that I was okay at all times. Not only did they set up everything, they also helped load an entire u-haul of supplies at the end of the night. Everything was taken care for us from the moment we walked into the venue to the moment we stepped out. Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Jana and her team for any and all of your wedding planning needs! I hired her for partial planning for my wedding. I had planned a lot of it myself but knew I needed just a little more guidance. Jana is very quick to respond to any and all questions whether by text or email. She was very professional. My mom was against a planner in the beginning but greatly appreciated our decision. With my mom being about 2 hours away it was hard to be hands on. Jana helped me with all of my rentals and vendors. She knows the answer to every question (seriously)! Sounds crazy but she truly excels at what she does. We had no worries the day of, which is what my mom was wanting. We got to enjoy the day with no stress! She was so easy to work with and trust me I am NOT the easiest to work with being that I cannot make a decision and change my mind often!! Experiencia fantástica: There is a reason they are called Design a Dream. Jana and her team are amazing. I hired them for a Month of Coordinator as I am pretty organized overall. At first I wasn't sure I even needed a wedding planner. BUT that changed. I can't recommend getting a month of wedding coordinator more. It made the day seamless. Anytime Jana had a question she would ask me quickly and then take care of it immediately. I never had to worry about anything on the day of which helped me enjoy my day so much more. She was so great throughout the entire planning process as I emailed her all the time. She was quick to respond and always had great advice. I couldn't have picked a better wedding planner if I tried. Highly recommend!

We were planning a wedding from out-of-state at the Brooklyn Arts Center, so coordinating everything for our wedding in Wilmington would have been very difficult without Jana. I definitely like to have some control over things, but Jana made sure that everything was absolutely perfect. She and her team made our wedding dreams come true. The venue looked so elegant and romantic, just the way I had imagined. Our day/night ran so smoothly, everyone was exactly where they needed to be when they needed to be there. Not only is Jana amazing at her job, but she is so passionate about what she does and always has a smile on her face. Experiencia fantástica: Jana and her fantastic team of ladies made our wedding an absolute dream. We were married at Wrightsville Manor but are out-of-towners and did all of our wedding planning from NYC. Jana was so helpful to answer my many questions via email and phone and got all of our vendors on the same page. We were expecting rain and she had everything organized so that BOTH our Plan A outdoor ceremony AND Plan B indoor ceremony were setup so we had up until an hour before the ceremony to make a final call on which we wanted to do, and could visualize both! She had so many recommendations for how we could leverage our specialty rentals meant for the outdoor ceremony indoors so that nothing went to waste. Luckily, we were able to do outside as planned, but I know it would have been just as beautiful indoors thanks to her quick thinking and creative recommendations. She was super organized and kept all of the bridal party in check :) A couple guests even came up to us to say how amazing Jana and her team were! We knew they were running around in the background to make everything perfect, which it was. We would 10/10 recommend Design a Dream Events to anyone looking for a planner in the Wilmington area.

Honestly without Jana and her team being by my side to make sure everything was not only on time but ran perfectly smoothly was so comforting. The girls were so sweet and adorable and had a big smile on throughout the whole night! I give them full credit for our flawless big day. From the moment I spoke with Jana I knew I would be in good hands and could trust her with my wedding. During the entire planning process Jana was organized, helpful, and creative. Experiencia fantástica: I contacted Jana with Design a Dream Events and after one phone call with her and my mom, I knew that she was just who we needed to keep wedding planning and the wedding day fun and stress free, as it should be. Jana is one of the nicest people that I have ever met, very well organized, professional, and always available when you need her. She has developed strong relationships with the vendors in the area, who all also have nothing but great things to say about her. She provides different levels of services; we chose the Gold Package, which was perfect for us. We wanted to incorporate our own style/decor and be involved, but we definitely needed assistance with choosing and communicating with vendors, picking out and ordering rentals, and just asking random questions along the way (we had lots). We needed a lot of guidance from the beginning. Living in another state makes it so difficult to do these things, but Jana made it so easy and effortless. I always felt like I could reach out to her throughout the entire process. She was always prompt, patient, and kind with her responses to me, even when it was regarding a random or minor detail. It was extremely reassuring to have her. She has a take charge attitude when needed while still respecting your wishes. About a month before the wedding, she took over everything, including making sure that everything had been done, communicating with vendors (which, by the way, is SO nice and keeps that already busy month stress free), creates your layouts, timeline, and just wants to make sure that you’re okay and not stressed. We met in early September (our original wedding date was in late September), and we were good to go. However, little did we know that Hurricane Florence was right around the corner. The week of our wedding, we found out that we would have to reschedule. We were still in KY, but the amount of stress that we felt was overwhelming. Once I received the potential new dates for my venue, Jana was like a rock to us throughout it all—she was comforting, reassuring, and immediately got to work contacting my vendors to find the date that they were all available. Even though she had to evacuate and deal with the stress and aftermath of the hurricane, she kept calm and professional, and helped me through the whole process. She was able to successfully reschedule my wedding and I was able to keep all of my vendors (except for my cake- she helped me find a new baker though). Now, for the actual wedding weekend: before meeting Jana, I was worried that my mom and I would be running around like crazy (especially my mom, who I believed was unable to sit still and enjoy the day) and so busy that the day would fly by and we wouldn’t even know what happened. However, Jana and her team made sure that didn’t happen. We truly had the best day of our lives—everything came together perfectly, her and her team took charge and made sure that everything was set up, on time, and running smoothly from start to finish. My husband, bridal party, parents, and I were all able to relax and have the best day ever. Jana understood our design vision and did an incredible job transforming the venue to something that looked like it was from a magazine. We were in awe as we walked through the space. She brought our vision to life. I have never taken the time to write a review, but I wanted to show my gratitude for Jana and her team. Three weeks later, we are all still talking about how beautiful, fun, and perfect our wedding day was. My wedding guests are still talking about how perfect it was. I know 100% that Jana was the best decision I could have made. She is such a kind person, can tackle any problem that you have, from any small problem to probably the most dreaded—rescheduling your wedding when a hurricane ruins it. She genuinely cares for her brides and is passionate about what she does. THANK YOU so much Jana for your kindness and patience throughout the whole process.

I knew that it would be the most beautiful day of my life; however, I was also aware of the amount of time and planning that goes into a wedding. After getting engaged I knew immediately we would need a wedding planner to help alleviate the overwhelmingness I felt. Once meeting with Jana I knew she was exactly what we needed to make our day successful. Over the next year and a half she guided us every step of the way and made the planning process go smoothly. Even when there was discussion about the reception venue not being available due to Hurricane Florence damage, Jana was there to immediately figure out a backup plan. I knew there would be nothing to worry about as long as she was in charge. Our wedding day was very relaxed and stress free, which is the complete opposite of my personality! I wholeheartedly believe that I felt that way because Jana was our planner. She took my ideas and brainstorms from our initial meetings and turned them into a reality, almost as if she knew exactly what I was envisioning! I cannot put into words how absolutely perfect our day was. It was evident that every small detail was affectionately curated with us in mind. She (and her team) are absolutely amazing and we will never be able to thank her enough!

She was absolutely amazing and even helped us move the ceremony location the morning of the wedding including getting transportation. What I had pictured in my head was exactly what I got and let me tell you… it was the most BEAUTIFUL thing I have ever seen! Living 1200 miles away, Jana was my rock; she was very responsive and very helpful! When we hit the 1-month countdown, when the anxiety starts to set in, Jana takes the reins and coordinates with all the vendors to create a well thought out timeline. If anything went wrong on the day-off, I had no idea about it – that is how smooth she is! I spent a lot of time speaking to different coordinators, but am confident with my choice, I recommend Jana and her team to anyone looking for a coordinator in the Wilmington area.

Experiencia fantástica: I would like to preface this with the fact that I have never taken the time to write out a meaningful review in my entire life. However, the experience Jana delivered my wife and I for our wedding has left me no choice but to sit down and write this. I think it is important to say that I was against having a big wedding, and early on I was a bit upset that my wishes went unheard. My wedding ended a few days ago, and I can honestly say it was the best time of my life, and I am so glad I was convinced otherwise. Marrying the love of my life with friends and family certainly helped, but it was Jana who brought it all together that truly changed my mind. I was worried about preparing for a big wedding, I was worried about managing a big wedding, and I was worried about the outcome of a big wedding. All that was for not, as I didn't have to worry about a thing. She took care of all of that! She answered every email and every call regardless of how many we sent or what time it was. She made sure we knew everything we needed to know and took care of the small things that we shouldn't have had to think or worry about. I could go on and on about how accommodating, professional, and clearly talented she is at her job, but I would like to mention something more important to me. I have severe anxiety, and I was having a panic attack on my wedding day. It was Jana's calm voice and leadership that got me through it, and allowed me to have the greatest day/night of my life. Jana truly is the best, and I can't imagine what my wedding would have been like without her.

We couldn't have done it at all without her, especially trying to organize a wedding from across the country (we're in California and the wedding was in North Carolina). I was worried that there would be a lot for me and my family to do on the wedding day as far as setup, but Jana and her team handled everything! They flawlessly coordinated all the vendors, decorations, table setups, and everything we needed (and more). She even came up with a quick and adorable solution when our ring bearer needed to move to an unexpected "Plan B". She made it possible for me to be completely relaxed and focused on all the joy of the big day! Jana was indispensable to our special day and we can't thank her and her team enough!
