From my very first tour at their venue The Elia they set the scene of what I would expect during the planning phase. Matti was my lead planner and I could have not asked for a better support system through the last 8 weeks before the wedding. She was on top of EVERY little detail, I felt so so comfortable giving her my true opinion/ talking budget and was very appreciative when she gave me her honest opinion when I asked because I needed some direction at different points through the process. Day of her and her team did not miss a beat. Throughout my wedding day I did not once think of a logistic or detail because it was all taken care of. She was dealing with everything and keeping my family/ wedding party informed. We had a spill on my dress and without even making a big deal about it she took care of it and got me back out to my guests. My mom was from out of state so she felt like she needed to check on things, but because of the trust Matti had built with me I told her it was all taken care of, and it was! She was so impressed and could enjoy the night as well which was so important to me. I highly recommend the BRE team for your next wedding or event!

When we got off our initial consult call with Brittanie, I looked at my husband (fiancé back then) and just said “I love her!” She was so sweet, bubbly and confident, was just as excited about our vision as we were, and provided so much helpful advice/info before we even signed a contract. We didn’t need to look any further to know that this is the team we wanted by our side every step of the way to bring our dream wedding to life. It got to a point where it felt like she and I were sharing a brain. She could predict my questions, anticipate my answers to hers and identify areas of concern before I was even aware of them. She also was so patient with me, even when I started blowing up her phone daily in those last few weeks! Fast forward to wedding day, a couple of things went wrong (as they do on wedding days—let’s be realistic!), and the BRE team handled everything with such ease. The two of us and our guests were none the wiser until the next day when my mom looped me in. Their problem solving, communication skills and planning prowess really shined in these moments. And what really matters? Everything was beyond stunning—I’m still trying to find the words to truly capture it—all of our guests had an absolute BLAST, and most importantly, my husband and I always had a drink in our hands. It was the most perfect, ICONIC day. We made a LOT of decisions throughout the wedding planning process and if I had to pick one to make over and over again, it would be hiring the BRE team. Initially, Savannah and I thought we could manage the details ourselves. But with the Beaufort Hotel requiring an event planner—and at my husband’s wise suggestion ("Let’s be guests at our daughter’s wedding, not the help!")—we decided to go with full-service planning. I am so grateful we did! From our very first meeting, nearly a year before the big day, it was clear that Brittanie was a true professional. But it wasn’t until about two months before the wedding that we fully realized how well she had captured the essence of Savannah and Forrest’s vision. Savannah dreamed of a “tent wedding,” while I questioned why we would do that when the hotel had a perfectly good ballroom—especially since I’m not a camper! But the moment I walked into that ballroom, my breath caught. The BRE team had transformed the space into an elegant, whimsical oasis. It was stunning. Every detail was thoughtfully handled—from custom pillows with their crest, to soft lighting and lamp-lit tables, to embroidered aprons for the servers. These touches may seem small to some, but they completed the atmosphere in such a meaningful way. Brittanie also offered practical advice, gently guiding us away from expenses that weren’t worth it. Her insight and honesty were invaluable. In the final days leading up to the wedding—and especially the day of—the BRE Team anticipated every need. They even steamed all the bridesmaids’ dresses! Always professional, always cheerful, and always one step ahead. Guests raved not just about how beautiful the wedding was, but about the warm hospitality they felt throughout. The flowers (also designed by Brittanie Raquel Events) were exquisite. Most importantly, because of this amazing team, we were free to enjoy the celebration—to visit, to mingle, and to dance the night away. We didn’t lift a finger, and we didn’t have to. As a bride who had few ideas about décor coming into the process, Brittanie and her team came up with a gorgeous traditional and coastal design. From the florals, customized staff aprons, table lamps and programs shaped like fans, no details were missed. On the day of the wedding, her team, including Kenzie and 2 additional assistants, showed utmost professionalism and ensured everything ran like clock-work. The reveal of the ballroom took our breath away and because of the BRE team we had the wedding of our dreams. Highly recommend their services if you are getting married in eastern NC!

We worked with Kinsey at BRE and she was so great! She really learned our style and picked out some items that we wouldn’t have thought of but absolutely loved. So the overall design came out gorgeous and she even added some extras that pulled it all together. Design aside, just having her to handle literally everything made the wedding planning process SO smooth that when people would ask me how stressed I was I had to be honest and tell them I wasn’t stressed at all because we had Kinsey! Also, as a queer couple we were concerned about the possibility of hiccups or heteronormativity(which are normal, just uncomfortable), but Roxanne and the entire team did wonderfully. To name a few of the many reasons why Brittanie is so amazing: my dress broke the morning of the wedding and she was in the dressing room within 5 minutes with a sewing kit; she coordinated both our rehearsal dinner and welcome party which were at two separate locations and made both unique and beautiful; she helped us coordinating bus schedules for transporting guests to and from multiple locations; she was kind and excited for me even when I changed my mind on floral arrangements (multiple times); she was patient and understanding when it took me a week to reply to her emails because I had exams in grad school; and these are to just name a few! She was such a grounding person for me throughout the planning… helping me get/stay organized, understanding the way the day of would play out, coordinating where family members and vendors should be/where/when, making decisions for me because that’s my biggest flaw and what i despise haha. Experiencia fantástica: The absolute best decision I made when it came to wedding planning was hiring Kinsey as our month of coordinator. We had an outdoor backyard style wedding and there is absolutely no way I could have done it without her. For months we prayed for good weather but were hit with a rainy/windy day as a tropical storm rolled in. Although I initially grieved the perfect vision in my head of what I thought the day would look like, Kinsey reassured me that it would still be amazing and it was!!!! She pivoted so quickly and made the tented yard BEAUTIFUL and cozy with the help of her teammmate and in the end I can’t imagine it differently. To say she went above and beyond is an understatement. We have had multiple people tell us it has been their favorite intimate wedding and I owe so so so much of it to Kinsey and the BRE team. Kinsey you are the best of the best!!

After being on the fence as to whether or not it was necessary, my MIL insisted I get the month of coordination package for my wedding at The Starling on September 1st. It was definitely necessary. I am in event planning myself, and to say I was nervous to turn over something I had worked so hard on to someone else for coordinating the final month would be an understatement. But Roxanne and the BRE team crushed it. She listened to what was important to my husband and I and executed our vision and plans perfectly. It was so incredible to not have to worry that things were going to run smoothly the month-of, and especially the day-of. She finalized invoices, made sure everyone was where they needed to be, made sure we had absolutely nothing to worry about, and so much more. But ultimately, she was just so kind and fun to work with. I cannot stress enough the importance of having, at the very least, a month-of coordinator. Seriously, do yourself a favor and go with BRE.

BRE's team is amazing and the day would absolutely NOT have been as smooth without Roxanne helping us to plan and execute everything! My biggest regret is not splurging for a bigger package that included more time with the team. I cannot say enough how helpful and amazing the BRE team is. Even with our smaller package, they were so amazing and so helpful the whole time - we really felt like we bonded with Roxanne during the process! We initially only hired a planner because we lived a few hours away and before the wedding would be moving even further, so it just made sense. Plans changed but we're so glad that we had her and her team. Part of the way through the planning we ended up getting a new lead planner who wasn't as experienced as the previous planner, and it did show in a few areas, but Brittanie was there to help guide her and ultimately everything turned out amazing. They also gave us a few small gifts along the way, which were just really sweet and thoughtful. Highly recommend!

My goal in hiring a wedding planner was to relieve stress from both myself, fiancé (now husband) and parents in the planning process, and I am thankful we hired Brittanie. Anytime I had a question throughout the process, she was there to answer and provide me feedback to make sure I had the best vendors to fit my vision. I would have never been directed towards some of the vendors we chose without her knowledge. Wilmington was a "destination wedding" for us and having her made the wedding planning process easier. We had in-person meetings when it was necessary and zoom meetings for everything else. Throughout the entire process she made sure I was always on target even from 3 hours away. On the rehearsal night, I made sure she had everything she needed from me to set up for the day and on the day-of, I was completely stress free because she handled everything from start to finish. I was so thankful that myself, husband and family could enjoy the day and have fun, and we were not worrying if a vendor had arrived yet, if everything was set up right, etc. Brittanie and her assistant handled it all. If something went wrong, I have no idea. It was set up just how I imagined, the cocktail hour was perfect, and I am so impressed with how they flipped the room. She always came to us to tell us what was coming up next or what it was time to do which was helpful because I wanted to stay on time to make sure we had ample time for the dance floor! Kinsey really listened and made it clear that she would make my daughter’s wishes for the big day a reality. From the moment I first met with Kinsey, I started to enjoy the wedding planning process and stopped stressing about every little detail or forgetting something major, because I knew she had it handled! As the big day approached, the forecast was looking treacherous. We had planned an outdoor ceremony in April at the Beaufort Hotel – the weather had other plans with rain, cold temperatures and tons of wind. I spoke with Kinsey every day, multiple times a day in the week leading up to my wedding. She had multiple back-up plans and kept me in the loop every step of the way. We had tons of family and friends coming into town for several days to celebrate our wedding, and Kinsey made sure I could enjoy time with them and not worry about the details of changing location. She secured an indoor area for our ceremony separate from our reception location, and she kept our vision completely intact! She had fabulous ideas to make sure it was beautiful and perfect. We also worked with the BRE team for all of our florals – and WOW! They were stunning. They made the process so fun and personalized to us – they completely exceeded all expectations. All of our guests are still talking about the stage-front florals they designed! 5 stars just doesn’t even cut it – I can’t recommend the team at BRE enough!

My crowning achievement was my now husband turning over to us at our wedding and saying how glad he was that we had Brittanie when initially he said we didn’t need a planner. Throughout our planning process, she was very communicative and made sure we had everything buttoned up with our vendors. Experiencia fantástica: Brittanie and her team are fantastic. Brittanie was our lead planner for month of and day of coordination. We got married in my parents’ backyard with 150 people. It was all outdoor, I live in a different timezone, we got stuff from 5 different rentals companies, and there was no parking space for guests — aka it was NOT a turnkey wedding to organize. For our first meeting, she walked through our yard and stayed with us for over 3 hours to go over all our questions and logistics. Then she created a play-by-play timeline and layout that put us all at ease. She was extremely flexible and communicated super well to help us make it the perfect day — she’s calm and collected, knew when to loop us in, but didn’t stress us out with every single detail. When I texted with random questions and concerns, she got back to me in a snap with resolutions. In fact, she made the process so seamless that I actually really enjoyed wedding planning. And on the day of, she and her team handled everything behind the scenes — it felt like everything just fell right into place exactly as we imagined, but BETTER because we had their expertise to rely on. I would 11/10 recommend working with this team!
