Fantastic experience: Sunny was absolutely wonderful! As a couple with full-time jobs, we knew we needed someone who was on top of things and able to keep us on track—she did exactly that over the 1.5 years we worked with her. She had plenty of vendor recommendations and offered great advice on everything. Our wedding day was PERFECT, and all of our guests shared how much fun they had. We would highly recommend Sunny to any future brides!

Fantastic experience: Sunny makes the impossible possible, and pulls it all off with a smile and amazing energy! Building up to the day, she toured several venues with us explaining their pros and cons. She also had a wide selection of vendors to help us hone in on exactly the vision we wanted. She found us a bakery that could do a very niche flavor that we wanted (pandan and lilikoi!), vendors that could make the most beautiful flower arrangements for a great price, and a videographer. All of that makes Sunny an amazing planner, but that hardly scratches the surface on how wonderful she was. On the morning of our big day, the large Kona Low storm came in and closed down our venue. What could have been a disaster turned into the most magical day. Within a handful of hours, Sunny planned a whole new wedding at a safer venue that turned into a perfect fit! Not only that, she worked with all of our vendors to safely get all staff and guests to and from the venue. A TRUE MIRACLE WORKER! She saved our day in so many ways and we couldn't be more happy we chose her to plan our wedding.

She was authentic, professional, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. The way she pitched herself in our initial consultation was exactly what she delivered. Fantastic experience: Sunny Cho was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we used her for full wedding planning. I genuinely cannot put into words how deeply I felt her kindness from our very first phone call. She was warm, attentive, and truly listened to what we wanted — which stood in stark contrast to other planners we interviewed who felt dismissive, rushed, and impersonal. Some even added unnecessary costs, like hair services, despite me clearly explaining that I am a hairdresser and would be doing my own hair. Sunny listened, respected our needs, and made us feel heard and valued from day one. Leading up to the wedding, her organization, timelines, and design vision were exceptional. She carefully reviewed vendor contracts, handled all communication with vendors, and thought through details we never would have considered. She also helped me with the hotel and setting up the wedding block for guest. She even brought items like a cake knife, gift box, and other essentials we didn’t know we’d need — which speaks to how thoughtful and prepared she is. She was always prompt on calls, incredibly responsive, and consistently went above and beyond with both professionalism and warmth. On the wedding day, Sunny handled multiple unexpected issues caused by circumstances outside of her control so seamlessly that I didn’t even know anything had gone wrong until later. When the power went out on the island at the very beginning of the day—right as I had started doing hair for my bridesmaids—she immediately secured generators so everything could continue smoothly and without stress. She handled every challenge calmly and efficiently, completely shielding us from stress so we could truly enjoy the day. What sets Sunny apart even more is what she did after the wedding. She continued following up with vendors and addressing issues that were completely outside of her control. For example, when the fire dancers arrived hours late, Sunny proactively handled the situation and secured a refund for us without even telling me she was doing it — something she absolutely did not have to do. She also helped me sell items after the wedding since I don’t live on the island and didn’t want to have to fly back with them. Her level of care and advocacy went far beyond what was expected or required of her role. Sunny is heartfelt, calm under pressure, polished, detail-oriented, and truly invested in the people she works with. She combines exceptional skill with genuine kindness, and it shows in everything she does. If you are looking for a wedding planner who will advocate for you before, during, and even after your wedding day, Sunny Cho is truly unmatched. Given I don’t live on the island and busy schedule I COULD NOT have done it with out her! We got married in October 2025 on Halekulani’s lawn, and it was everything we hoped for—the setting was stunning, and the whole day felt smooth, warm, and well put together. Sunny is patient, professional, and genuinely caring. During the planning stage we were busy and occasionally forgot to get back to her, but she handled it with such grace. She kept us organized with friendly, timely check-ins and made sure every detail stayed on track. Fantastic experience: Sunny is an exemplary and highly recommended wedding planner!! We purchased her full service package one year before our wedding date and it was the best decision ever! Her diverse background in culture and knowledge in finance captivated our attention When my fiancé (now husband) and I started our wedding planning journey, we had so many questions because we did not attend many weddings prior to getting married. Sunny has an amicable nature, she was always patient and we greatly appreciated her availability to answer all of our questions via chat, email or a phone call; she created a safe environment for us and never judged us (even when we asked what felt like silly questions). She is detail-oriented (from planning to creating a harmonious atmosphere with our venue and decorations and bringing our vision to life!) and very organized; she provided us with a spreadsheet to fill out, gave us timeline suggestions on when to book our vendors, scheduled a phone call for us to discuss further details about our wedding venue, completed a final walkthrough of our venue site with us, created a simple timeline from a busy agenda, and much more! We have received many compliments from our guests about the ambience of our wedding day! Sunny supports small, local businesses and found a perfect group of vendors for our wedding based on our budget. It is really admirable to see the aloha spirit in action! There are many moving parts and a rollercoaster of emotions when it comes to planning a wedding, but Sunny’s unwavering support placed our minds at ease and made the whole process stress-free. Sunny truly goes above and beyond for each of her clients! She practiced the wedding rehearsal with us, our parents, and our wedding party and gave me suggestions on how to improve our kiss-and-dip. Sunny fluffed my train prior to walking down the aisle when one of my bridesmaids forgot. She let us borrow her umbrella for our outdoor pictures and escorted the groom, the bride, our parents, and the wedding party for our line-up because it was a rainy day at our wedding. Sunny noticed that our guest book was missing a picture of us on the front cover. Prior to our grand entrance, she used our Polaroid camera to take a beautiful picture of us and placed our picture on the front cover. Sunny took care of countless behind-the-scenes details diligently and efficiently at our wedding, which allowed us to be fully present and enjoy the special moment ☺️ At the end of the night, she packed all of our decorations neatly into boxes and helped transport these boxes to our cars. It was such a delightful pleasure working with Sunny, a wedding planner who genuinely cares about her clients, someone who pours her heart and soul into each client’s vision to create a cherished and memorable experience! Negative experience: It’s taken me a quick minute to write this review because I really, genuinely hate writing bad reviews. I would usually rather just not review than write a negative one, but for an event so important as your wedding, I think this is really important to review. Please note that this review is of my professional experience working with Sunny as my partial planner, not about her as a person. We tried to keep this somewhat short, but admittedly, want to be detailed. Overall, my husband and I were very disappointed with the partial planning service Sunny provided for our wedding at Kaimea Estates in August. Aside from constantly being rerouted to the venue for wedding questions, lack of communication leading up to the wedding, under-preparedness, and overall cold shoulder we feel like we received, most importantly, our wedding did not run smoothly - and I saw it. Our wedding ceremony rehearsal was choppy and uncoordinated, and it was clear to us AND our wedding party that little to no time seemed to have been put into preparing for it, even though I had provided Sunny with the ceremony documents and details virtually beforehand and hard copy in person. No one felt comfortable with what they were doing, I was shushed at one point, and there was an audible argument between Sunny and the venue staff that made all of us uncomfortable. The day of the wedding, we had no idea where Sunny was going to be, when (or where?) she was showing up, or any details regarding her arrival. When our photographer got into a car accident on his way to us, we received no help or encouragement from Sunny. When our decorations and florals at the venue were not put in the right places according to the photos I prepared, my bridesmaids fixed (almost all of) them. Our ceremony was choppy due to the lack of prep the day before, Sunny interrupted our officiant during the ceremony, and ‘fixed’ my train for over 30 seconds during my live-streamed ceremony that my matron of honor very carefully placed for me. Vendors were coming to me to ask questions, and my bridesmaids were absolute gems and ran through the venue finding the answers for them, because they couldn’t find Sunny. Sunny and her assistant got shaved ice, but two of my bridesmaids didn’t. What is most disappointing and absolved me from any guilt in posting this review was Sunny’s response when we shared our frustrations and concerns with her. We did not ask for or expect any kind of compensation, and were simply outlining how we felt because she asked. Her response was very defensive, she did not take ANY accountability, blamed my “pre wedding stress” (of which I had none by the way, aside from my lack of confidence in the planning) for my opinion, and said that I should stick to the facts if I decided to write a review because I had said things that were “demonstrably false” and ”factually incorrect”. So here are the facts for us: We were not happy with the services provided, and we do not think they met all the terms of the contract. My guests and bridesmaids noticed the inconsistencies, uncomfortable vibe between Sunny and the venue, and the vendors asking ME questions. A few guests even asked me if I had a planner. Our first dance location was moved “because she changed it”, we missed my husbands + his moms dance (which I had to find time for later), our ceremony was botched (I have this on video), and I was told that my pre wedding stress clouded my view of the wedding and her work, when I know this is not the case. My recommendation is that if you are planning on booking with Sunny for anything other than full planning, make sure you have a very very CLEAR understanding of what you expect from the service you purchase. Clearly, our expectations based on the contract terms and the services she actually provided did not match up. I wish this situation would have gone differently. Overall, my husband and I had an amazing wedding though, minus the few hiccups that are just bound to happen.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start.. I have known Sunny for 2 years because we had to postpone our wedding because I ended up pregnant! So not only did she help plan my wedding once, but TWICE! Sunny didn't have to, but she was there with us when we did our site visit because we were from out of town. She also had an enormous amount of vendors to pick from. She is VERY organized and detailed oriented. She was always available via phone calls, texts & emails. She will send you a spreadsheet to be filled out to ensure nothing is missed for your big day. She was more like big sister that I never had. Saying goodbye to her after 2 years of communication was for sure bittersweet. Hire Sunny, you will not regret it!

Fantastic experience: ○ We booked Sunny for our May 2025 wedding, and cannot say enough amazing things about her and her team. I researched several vendors for day-of-coordination services, and Sunny was the first person we both really connected with. She was very thoughtful and enthusiastic not just about her business, but towards our wedding and the specific details we chose. Her services started about 2 months prior to our wedding date, but she was available to answer questions and provide her expertise/opinions throughout our planning process as we continued to move forward with other vendors. She even went out of her way to do a venue walkthrough with us after returning from a long flight 6 months prior to our wedding, as we had booked a venue she had not seen. That goes to show how much she is dedicated to her work! Sunny was thoughtful to listen to our vision, take the time to discuss how to execute, and provide realistic suggestions for areas we were unsure about or hadn't addressed. I consider myself to be someone who plans every detail, and Sunny brought several things to my attention that I hadn't thought of! Her assistant, Sky, was also so on top of everything and helped execute every detail perfectly. She was very sweet and kind with helping wherever someone needed her. She is someone who is naturally calm and passionate about the work she does, and always has a solution to ensure you have the best day possible. She also took several videos throughout the day and shared them with us following our wedding, which was so special to look back on and relive those moments. I would be thrilled to recommend Sunny and her team to anyone who is planning an event or wedding, whether you're local or from out of town. If I could relive this day again, I would absolutely choose One & Only Events to be there every time!

Fantastic experience: We knew we were in great hands with Sunny as our day-of-coordinator right from the start. She was responsive, professional, and detail-oriented in all our communications while having a calming presence -- in short, she was everything we wanted in a coordinator and we felt confident that our wedding day would go well. Multiple guests remarked that our wedding felt well-planned and flowed smoothly, and we believe this is largely because of Sunny! During our kick-off meeting, she helped us to consider questions and details that we hadn’t thought about, including who stands on which side for the ceremony, when to do our reception thank-you speech, how to cut the cake, and more. She put together a detailed timeline and was flexible in adjusting it when we changed our minds about some details. At our wedding rehearsal, Sunny had yet more tips to offer us for key details that we hadn’t even thought to consider, including where to enter for the processional, how to hold hands when exchanging rings, and how to improve our kiss-and-dip technique. On the day of the wedding, we had intermittent showers, which is not uncommon in Hawaii. Despite all our time spent in Hawaii in the past, we hadn’t really prepared ourselves for this possibility, emotionally or otherwise, but thankfully we had Sunny. It rained before the ceremony, stopped for a couple hours, and then rained again after dinner during the reception. Sunny was able to adjust the timeline and events on-the-fly without requiring input from us, which allowed us to be fully present and enjoy our wedding without the stress of making decisions about how to deal with changes in weather. The ceremony ended up being slightly delayed, and we did our table photos under a covered area instead of doing the table dash game. Throughout the day, she communicated with our vendors (photographer, venue, DJ, etc.) about any changes or about what was coming up next. Not only did she manage the logistics around the timeline, Sunny and her team also set up our decor and items, and at the end of the night, she boxed up all our items and helped us load them into the car. In addition to all this, she also captured photos and video clips to share with us while we wait for the professional photos to come in, which was so thoughtful of her and a very pleasant surprise. I’m certain that there is so much more that Sunny did behind the scenes that we weren’t even aware of. In hindsight, I’m so relieved that we had decided to hire Sunny for our wedding. A wedding has so many moving parts that even if you somehow managed to plan for every detail beforehand, it really helps to have someone as reliable as Sunny to execute your plans on the day-of and enable you to be present for your wedding day and enjoy it to the fullest. Sunny, thank you for helping us to make wonderful memories!

Fantastic experience: Sunny was highly recommended to me by a girlfriend who also sought her expertise for her own wedding! I had a small, intimate wedding and Sunny perfectly grasped what we envisioned for our day and helped us plan a stress-free wedding. She was so helpful from our initial call - we were planning from out of state and she gave great recommendations and details of each venue we were considering, which helped us narrow down our choices very quickly. I sought her day-of services, which provided the perfect amount of guidance I needed for an intimate wedding. She helped us make decisions that reduced our overall cost on certain things and also facilitated communication with vendors to make sure we considered all the details. Fantastic experience: A True Lifesaver – Sunny Made Our Wedding Stress-Free and Magical! I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Sunny as our wedding coordinator. She stepped in just one month before our wedding after an incredibly upsetting experience with our previous coordinator, who, out of nowhere, lashed out at me and made everything about her own frustrations. I was left feeling blindsided, stressed, and in tears, until I found Sunny. From the moment I reached out to her, she responded almost instantly with warmth, understanding, and professionalism. She listened to my experience, reassured me that I had done nothing wrong, and immediately jumped in to help with every detail. I felt heard and supported—something I deeply needed after what I had been through. Sunny's expertise became apparent right away. She caught major oversights from our previous coordinator, including the fact that our tables were too small for our planned setup. Because of her, we saved hundreds of dollars on rentals and avoided potential day-of chaos. She even thought of details I would have never considered, like trash cans, saving on wind clips for our outdoor setup, fly swatters for the food and much more —every little thing added up to create a seamless experience. Beyond her skill and attention to detail, what I loved most about Sunny was how easy she was to work with. She was always available when I needed her, often replying instantly. She was organized, calm, and truly felt like i was working with a family member. I never once felt like I was "too much" for wanting my wedding to be perfect, she made me feel completely at ease. Looking back, I now realize that my previous coordinator’s insecurities stemmed from her not doing her job properly, and Sunny proved exactly what a great coordinator should be. If I had Sunny from the very beginning, I wouldn't have experienced half the stress I did throughout the year of planning. If you're looking for a coordinator who is knowledgeable, professional, kind, and truly invested in making your day perfect, Sunny is THE one. She saved our wedding, and I can’t recommend her enough!

I had consulted with several planners, initially leaning toward partial planning, but Sunny was the only one who truly understood and respected our budget (even though we did go over). From start to finish, she was an absolute pleasure to work with—always responsive, typically replying within 1-2 days, and keeping me updated when she was busy. With Sunny's full-service planning, she negotiated contracts with vendors, handled all communication with the vendors, and kept me in the loop when necessary. On the wedding day, Sunny was a lifesaver. She coordinated everything seamlessly, ensuring everything was in place. She even took behind-the-scenes photos and videos, sending them to us the next day. I can’t express how grateful I am for working with her. She really goes above and beyond.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start… I would say if you’re struggling to decide who to choose as a wedding planner, stop thinking and go with Sunny because you will not regret it. Here’s the summary of my experience with Sunny: - Here work is seamless and she’s so attentive. And I’m pretty sure she does more than she’s paid to do…. This, I heard even from someone she works with. When I was getting my makeup and hair done by a stylist, she actually told me Sunny is quite exceptional. She said most wedding planners don’t go to the extent Sunny does to take care of their clients and oftentimes clients can end up taking care of their wedding in so many ways. She told me Sunny truly goes above and beyond to make sure she does all the work so her clients don’t have to. - She is so knowledgeable about weddings. It was my first wedding, but I did research on my own and thought I could potentially plan a wedding on my own. I was wrong! For those planing a wedding in Hawaii as a destination wedding especially, I personally wouldn’t recommend companies that offer packages because they don’t always include everything and you can also end up being asked to pay additional costs to add things if they’re not a part of the package. Or they might not even offer things you want… As Sunny told me, many hotels offer ceremony packages, and hotel packages are fine, but they ask that you have a wedding coordinator. - She knows great vendors, and this is so important! Flowers, venues, food, hair and makeup, music, wedding officiant, photographers, and a videographer… They were all SO wonderful I know “wedding magic” and “Hawaii magic” exist, but thanks to Sunny who recommended them, I’ll never forget this day ☺️. When I read posts from other brides, I do read about many stories where something goes wrong, but in my case everything went as I wanted and planned, and the guests loved it all too!! - She is speedy! I had my wedding in the summer when it is a peak wedding season, but she never falls behind. If you contact her, she gets back to you immediately and after she consults you about your vision and budget, she starts the process for you asap so you don’t need to keep waiting restlessly about what’s happening next or when the planner will get back to you. - Bonus! She’s trilingual. So if you ever want a wedding planner who can communicate with your or your guests in Japanese or Korean besides English, yup, you found the one. Again, if you’re still thinking about who to go with, just contact her .

Fantastic experience: Five-stars and beyond for One & Only. One & Only/Sunny made our destination wedding in Oahu possible in the most beautiful, graceful way. As a full time working professional, I would’ve struggled to keep up with the timeline and moving pieces on my own. Sunny’s work ethic and communication gave me a peace of mind throughout the planning and also on the day of event. Sunny’s interactions with clients/vendors are professional yet personable. Sunny was mindful of budget, provided useful recs, and connected us to the right vendors. Fantastic experience: Sunny was absolutely wonderful to work with. I planned my wedding remotely, being in California, and never saw the venue until the day before the wedding. She listened well to what we wanted and made it even more. She helped me find cheaper alternatives and gave me ideas for décor, which when it came altogether, it was better than I could imagine. I was not stressed at all on the wedding day and was able to enjoy myself and have fun. Sunny was really good at communicating and answering my questions throughout the process and I cannot recommend her and her team enough.

Positive experience: I hired Sunny as my day of coordinator for my wedding. She was a pleasure to work with. Provided me with documents to fill out far in advance that provided some guidance on timelines throughout the wedding planning process as well as general timeline of how wedding day could go. She was very helping in picking up little details that I forgot or didn't even think of. On the day of she was wonderful. We had some hiccups and unexpected delays but she remained calm and was able to get everything back on track.

From the very beginning she made us feel so comfortable working with her. Not once did she make me feel like I was asking too much of her. She was very accommodating to our requests/needs especially as we're planning a wedding out of state. On the day of the wedding all I did was focus on having fun with our friends and family as everything was taken care of by Sunny. She was so sweet to take a few behind the scene photos/videos for us. Fantastic experience: I initially chose Sunny because she was the most affordable. I married into a Tongan family and Tongan weddings are something else, you have to experience it to understand it. We ended up way off schedule with the program running behind due to cultural protocols and Sunny made executive decisions to make everything run smoothly. She was also always there to help me as the bride in the most perfecr moments where I needed guidance (like how to cut the cake). I highly reccomend her.

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for one of the most friendly, organized, and detailed wedding planners Sunny is it!!! I was a destination bride from Georgia and wanted someone on the island with full planning because I wasn’t able to try out vendors, and Sunny did an absolutely phenomenal job. I shopped around with other wedding planning companies, but Sunny was the only one who contacted me right away and even spoke with me on the phone for an hour giving me helpful tips for the planning process despite me not even hiring her yet I felt very comfortable talking with her and sharing my vision, and she executed everything perfectly. Fantastic experience: Sunny & Nalani were truly amazing to work with during rehearsal and my daughter's entire wedding. They made everything go smoothly. I created my daughter's 20 centerpiece floral towers and favors for 180 guests. Our venue had told us our set up time was cut short due to another party scheduled before the wedding. This left us with added stress as to having to set up and finish getting ready for our walk down the aisle around the same time. Sunny assured me that she and her assistant are very efficient and that we would be able to have everything set up for the reception on time. This brought so much peace to me. Fantastic experience: I reached out to Sunny with a little over a month before the wedding, seeking a day of coordinator. Fortunately, she was available and we are so glad we hired her. Our wedding day would not have been half as good without her help. Her level of engagement with us was perfect for me, she took over primary communications with the other vendors and her handling of them was excellent, and she regularly provided great input and ideas as we were getting down to the wire with things. She was able to identify gaps and deficiencies in our preparations, provided solutions, and helped to keep us on track. Even as the day was approaching and we were still trying to lock down some vendors, Sunny was there to provide recommendations and offer whatever help she could. When the bustle on my wife's dress broke, Sunny came to our room to try and fix it. And I even appreciated that she was able to squeeze in an extra 5 minutes in our program so we could enjoy more of our meal. Considering what a Type A personality I am, all the little details I would normally worry about, I didn't have to because Sunny took care of them all. Even now, more than a month later, I still have moments of "wait, did '____' get taken care of?" and I realize Sunny did.
