Fantastic experience: My daughter Leigh was married last month in Charleston. Kayla (and her co-workers) were a pleasure to work with in every way. Fantastic experience: I cannot even express how special it was to work with Sarah at AED! The whole wedding planning process was so simple, smooth, and flawless that it felt like a dream to me. Being from North East Georgia and having a wedding in Charleston was something that I originally stressed about, but once I found this amazing team all of my worries faded away. If something went wrong on my special day, I still have no clue about it!! I would actually trust Sarah and the entire AED team with my life! Aside from their impeccable design and organizational skills, Samantha and Sarah’s heart is what truly made this entire process for me so unforgettable. Fantastic experience: Sarah Rickman was our planner for my daughter’s recent wedding in Charleston. I live in Kentucky and our daughter lives in Charleston. As a business owner and extremely organized person, I didn't think I needed a full service planner, but I couldn't have been more wrong. Samantha knows every detail of creating the most magical and stress free day. She took my vision and brought it to life! I knew what I wanted but had no idea how to get there. She designed it all, down to the most intricate details of the perfect pattern combinations and glassware. Fantastic experience: My husband and I got married at Lowndes Grove last May, and it was the most spectacular day from start to finish - undoubtedly due to the expertise of Samantha and her outstanding team!! When I first began looking for a planner in Charleston, I was overwhelmed to say the least. There are countless powerhouse planners to choose from! Samantha and her team were the very first that I spoke with, and I immediately felt so at ease and comfortable with them, I didn't want to get off the phone! I spoke to ~10 more planners, but I found myself comparing every subsequent conversation to the initial one I had with Samantha. It got to the point where my husband told me to stop looking around because he knew I had already found our planners! Samantha was our lead planner, and we became so close during the many months of planning that I truly felt like she was more of a friend than anything else. The process was pretty stressful at times, but she was there for me every step of the way. My Mom's dog ran away, and my husband was literally running around Mount Pleasant looking for him. When my Mom found out, Samantha stopped what she was doing and DROVE my Mom to our Airbnb. She took time out of what was likely a very hectic morning to help my Mom, all without my knowing. I didn't find out about any of this until my husband told me at our reception (and my Mom's dog was ultimately found - right before our ceremony, thank God!). I know in my heart that if Samantha and her team weren't there, our day wouldn't have played out as smoothly as it did. If you are even considering hiring them, please don't hesitate another second! Fantastic experience: I don’t think I can ever truly put into words how amazing these girls are and how you MUST have them as your wedding planners! With how busy the wedding industry is in Charleston, my husband and I began looking for planners prior to our engagement, and I almost gave up after interviewing over 10 planners, but then I found Samantha. The moment our interview ended I called my mom and said I had to have her! There are a lot of great planners in Charleston, but Samantha instantly makes you feel calm and excited about the day and focused on what really matters: you marrying your best friend and being surrounded by your favorite people (and she quickly becomes one of them). Over the past 2 years, she was the most amazing planner, friend, and therapist. People kept telling me I had the dream team, and they were right! Samantha picks the best of the best vendors to work with to make your vision become a reality. With her years of experience, she can provide advice and suggestions on every detail but still make each wedding so unique. When our rehearsal dinner basically turned into a second wedding, she was there to make the most incredible rehearsal dinner I had ever seen! People were stopping on the street commenting what a stunning WEDDING it was. When I thought it was going to pour on my wedding day, she kept a smile on her face and came up with MULTIPLE rain plans and stayed positive. She has created close connections to everyone in the industry and vendors reached out to her to see what needed to be done to make the day great even if it rained. The day of the wedding, it could not have been a more beautiful day and was more amazing than I could have ever imagined. I felt like I was walking through a styled shoot! Friends and family continue to tell us it was the prettiest wedding they have ever been to and everywhere they looked, every detail was incredible and clearly well thought out. It wasn’t just one thing people noticed, it was every detail: the venue, food/drinks, flowers, linens, lights, photographers, band, and cake! I don’t know how she does it all! All I can say is you have to have her!

Fantastic experience: My absolute dream team right here. Samantha was our wedding planner for our February 2023 wedding. We brought Samantha on in the very beginning following our August 2021 engagement and we feel so grateful that she was by our side throughout those 18 months. Samantha is kind, knowledgeable, personable, creative, a visionary, a go-getter, a rockstar and a friend <3. With her extensive experience in the Charleston area, Samantha provided recommendations for a lot of local vendors - all of which we went with - and it was so helpful for us to know going into it that we could trust our vendors. Not to mention they blew us away! We didn't have one thing go wrong on our wedding day and we truly appreciated her support in getting us across the finish line. I didn't have much of a "vision" as to how I wanted my wedding to look, but all Samantha needed to turn my vision to life was just a few photos of inspiration I saw online. She truly made our dreams come true! Everything down to the details, was planned and executed without a blip. Things like making sure my veil didn't rip across the cobblestone - her team held my dress and veil as I walked to the aisle but to avoid being in the pictures, Sarah crouched the whole way! It's little details like that, that matter. The wedding planning process can be stressful and draining but Samantha's bubbly personality always made us feel at ease and often times, she served as our therapist when we needed it most and had to make hard decisions. I will NEVER be able to put into words just how much Samantha and her team's work, talent and vision were appreciated but I can say the only part I miss about wedding planning is talking to Samantha every day. She's truly a blessing. I highly recommend this AED team!

Fantastic experience: Samantha and her team planned and executed a beautiful, large Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party in January, They attended to every detail, had great ideas and were put to the test when there was an explosion of the virus leading up to and during the event. Fantastic experience: After we got engaged and chose our wedding venue (Lowndes Grove), I knew I needed the right wedding planner to help us plan our wedding in Charleston since we live in Orlando. Being that I am an engineer and extremely type A, I interviewed ten wedding planners. The moment I spoke to Samantha, I knew that she and I would not only work well together, but that I could trust her entirely with our event and that she would become a great friend in the process! Hiring Samantha was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. I had been saving inspiration photos with notes and when I reviewed them with Samantha she knew exactly which vendors we needed to create the look we wanted! Samantha assembled the best vendor team for our wedding, and most importantly created our vision while keeping our budget a priority. One of the most important reasons you should hire Samantha is for her work ethic and passion for her job. Due to COVID-19, our original wedding date was postponed from April 2, 2020 to June 29, 2020. Samantha was with us on the phone and via email, every step of the original decision to postpone our wedding, and supported us every day in the days leading up to our original wedding date while we were deciding whether or not to postpone. When our new wedding date approached, navigating how to host a wedding in a post-COVID world was extremely challenging and like trying to hit a moving target. Samantha re-planned a good portion of our wedding, and handled every challenge calmly and with grace. As we were going to be one of the first weddings at our venue since reopening, Samantha put in hours of work with the venue, asking and answering our questions to help direct the best possible way to host our event safely. In the end, our wedding day look very different than the original plan, but it was flawless. The safety precautions were blended so seamlessly with our event that they did not stand out, and our wedding did not feel like a “COVID wedding”. Samantha and Sarah are two of the best people you want with you on your wedding day, and they will make sure that everything is perfect. They are ten stars.

I interviewed many planners for my wedding and the minute I talked to Samantha on the phone I immediately knew she was the one. Her "think outside the box mentality" is one of my favorite qualities about her. You can put her up to any challenge and she will exceed your expectations. Her creativity is beyond! I sent her so many pins from Pinterest and ideas of my vision and she literally made my dream wedding come true. She also sticks to your budget which is so important to keep in mind. She makes DYI look straight out of a wedding magazine. My favorite thing she came up with was for our escort card display which was an oversized map of Charleston with famous landmarks! She really takes the time to get to know her clients and that was also key for me as Charleston was a destination wedding for me. I was able to trust any decision or recommendation she made with full confidence. I have to say I miss talking to her everyday! Please don't walk, RUN and hire Samantha, you won't regret it!!

The planning process was well organized, well executed, and left me feeling confident and excited about our big day. We had an unusual obstacle and had our wedding postponed due to Hurricane Dorian. Not only were Samantha and Sarah sympathetic; they were professional, hard working, and somehow worked with all of our vendors to reschedule an incredible day for us in November! I still don’t know how they pulled it off, and it was better than we could have imagined! Every detail was carefully executed and so perfect. Fantastic experience: Hiring Samantha Anderson Events to plan our wedding was the best decision we could have ever made. Sarah helped us through every step of the way. The entire process was stress free which was incredible because I am a high stress person. The wedding day went absolutely perfect. Samantha and Sarah were more than prepared for every minute of our wedding day. They made sure Miles and I as well as our bridal party and family had plenty of food and drinks throughout the entire evening. Samantha Anderson Events was referred to us and we could not have been any happier. Sarah walked us through the planning process, was so very organized and informative. Fantastic experience: A dream wedding planner for OUT OF TOWN brides! I grew up vacationing in Charleston and knew that when the day came, I wanted to get married there. However, living in Seattle posed significant challenges with planning. Samantha was the right person to get the job done. She helped us select a venue – sight unseen- and gave us the ins and outs to make us comfortable in making that decision. She was there for every step, giving me options based on the design inspiration that we put together, but no too many options to make it overwhelming (although I imagine she could give you a million choices if you asked, I was just not that picky!). She was also great via email, keeping me updated at every turn, but always available for a call when I needed to talk things though. The day of organization was flawless and I was able to get ready and have fun with my bridesmaids without dealing with any questions whatsoever about last minute details – Samantha just handled everything! Fantastic experience: I knew from the first conversation with Samantha she was the planner we HAD to for our daughters wedding! She made the ten month planning process a dream. Her vivacious personality and organizational skills were invaluable. Alexis and David were married on our property- the set up process extended over three days. Samantha was here each day for eight hours making sure every detail was perfect. We were so impressed the way she and her team worked together. They made the event seem effortless. Even with a major thunderstorm blowing thru 30 minutes before the ceremony, Samantha and her team stayed calm and on point. These girls are rock stars!! My husband and I can't imagine what the planning process and wedding weekend would have been like without SAE!!!

Fantastic experience: My now husband and I were planning a destination wedding and decided to hire a wedding planner after feeling a bit overwhelmed with planning a wedding miles away on our own. Fantastic experience: Whenever I got engaged, I knew exactly where I wanted to be married: Charleston, South Carolina. I currently reside in Los Angeles but am from the south so a wedding planner was a MUST (and my venue also required I have one.) Samantha had been my sister's planner so I had gotten to meet her a few years prior but I still took my time to interview several different wedding planners in Charleston. Out of everyone I talked to, she was the only one who really took the time to ask me what my vision was, how I was feeling, etc. She even had me explain how I had gotten engaged which I thought was so sweet, especially since I couldn't tell that story enough at this time in my life. A year engagement was necessary for us, but daunting at the same time. I had no idea how seriously I would take it all. I reviewed every option and became obsessed with every detail. I think it is safe to say I fell into the category of "you don't know what is involved when planning a wedding until you are actually doing it for yourself." Thank goodness for Samantha! She was with me every step of the way and I could not have done it without her support, encouragement, patience and knowledge. I would recommend her to anyone planning the wedding of their dreams! She will not only become a trusted resource but a dear friend.

Fantastic experience: Samantha Anderson, simply put, was an incredible planner for our wedding. I can’t tell you how much stress and lost sleep I would have endured had it not been for her confidence and aptitude. As someone who normally enjoys planning, I would like to assure you that making the choice to hire her was hands-down the best wedding decision we made- because the number of choices and research required to plan a wedding are absolutely overwhelming. My husband and I both have full time jobs, live in Pennsylvania, needed to plan our Jewish/Christian wedding in less than 8 months, and were operating under a pretty tight budget. None of this was an issue for Samantha. She tactfully and gracefully guided us from one decision to the next, and was fantastic at finding options that made our wedding beautiful, fun, and economical. She was patient, responsive, energetic, thoughtful, and organized. She fosters great relationships with a variety of vendors, was a champ at wrangling our families (herding cats anyone?!), and was receptive to making our crazy new ideas happen (i.e. our chuppah/unity lantern combo was a huge hit!). I can’t thank you enough, Samantha, for making the best day of my life a stress-free, gorgeous blast!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely LOVED planning my wedding with Samantha. She is one of the sweetest people I have met. At first, I started planning my wedding on my own with the help of my husband and my mother. About 6 months out from the big day I realized I was a bit too overwhelmed with it all. At this time I had also made the decision to CHANGE VENUES... with 6 months until the big day, it can be very difficult to find a venue that you absolutely LOVE in Charleston since it's such a popular wedding destination. This is when I was introduced to Samantha through a family member. We chatted a bit and she gave me a few tips on some good vendors. Just from that little bit of advice I felt a huge load come off from my shoulders! I decided that I HAD to hire her as my wedding planner. The next 6 months were the smoothest and least stressful months of the entire year and a half of planning. Mine and my husbands big day was the most beautiful and fun day we've ever had! Not to mention stress free! I'm absolutely so thankful for Samantha. She was an absolute godsend.

Fantastic experience: I hired Samantha for month of/day of wedding coordination. This was one of the best wedding decisions we made. Samantha and her assistant Lindsay were professional, helpful, and super supportive when I felt overwhelmed with all the decisions. I am not detail oriented and prefer to let subject matter experts handle the finer points. They were amazing! They supported me by answering questions prior to the month before our wedding, and took over coordinating all the contractors the month before. They filled in any gaps and expertly coordinated our wedding and reception! It was so nice to be able to enjoy our big day and not have to worry about the logistics. If there were any last minute issues, I never knew about it. The event was flawless and Samantha and Lindsay were wonderful to work with.
