Fantastic experience: Working with Hannah was honestly one of the best parts of the whole wedding process! From the start, she was so on top of everything and helped us get a ton done right away, which made everything feel way less overwhelming. She’s super organized and detail-oriented, but also just so easy and fun to talk to, I genuinely miss our chats now that it’s all over! Everything turned out exactly how we hoped and I felt totally relaxed knowing she had everything handled. The day of went so smoothly, and we were actually able to enjoy it and be in the moment, which meant everything. It was all so beautiful, and we have Hannah to thank for that!! Kara was truly my lifeline. I was in law school and studying for the bar while planning our wedding, and there’s no way I could have managed it all without her. Not only is Kara incredibly kind (as is everyone at MOD), but she’s also unbelievably competent and organized. As an out-of-town bride, having someone who knew Charleston inside and out, and who was so well respected by every vendor we met, was such a gift. She offered thoughtful advice, never made me feel bad about budget constraints, and always came up with creative alternatives so I could still have the wedding of my dreams. MOD doesn’t just excel at planning, they crush floral design too. Their arrangements were breathtaking and surprisingly affordable. I received so many compliments on our flowers; it truly looked like the garden party wedding I had envisioned. As a self-proclaimed Type A person, I thought I had every detail covered, but Kara thought of things I never would have imagined. Honestly, the hardest part of hiring her was saying goodbye.. by the end, it felt like losing a friend! I can’t recommend Mod Events enough. They made our wedding not only beautiful, but completely stress-free.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely Perfect Experience We went into our wedding planning with very little vision of what we wanted our wedding to look like. Kara helped guide us through every step of the planning, from the big choices--venue, food, etc.--to the small ones--plateware, votives and lighting. She was always available for a call, even if it was just to talk my fiance down from a potential crisis or to kindly remind us (for the fourth time) that she needed us to make decisions. She was organized, knowledgeable, professional and, most important to us, always willing to offer her opinions, expertise and insight. By the time the wedding arrived, we had high hopes of what it would look like, which was unusual given our lack of vision at the outset. That day we finally got to see the product of Kara's hard work, her dedication to our wedding and her desire to make our wedding what we hoped for, even if we didn't quite know what that was. We have such amazing memories from our wedding, and we will always remember how special it was, not only because of the people who were there, but also for the people who made it happen. MOD Events, and specifically Kara, were absolutely flawless over the course of nine months and delivered our perfect wedding. Fantastic experience: I can not recommend mod events enough!!! Hannah was my wedding planner and her attention to detail is immaculate. I am not exaggerating when I say I went through my entire wedding planning process AND wedding without an ounce of stress, and it’s all because of Hannah’s wedding planning experience. I had a spring wedding at Middleton Place and it was a dream come true. Also, Hannah is the nicest and most patient human ever, which made her even more amazing to work with. Kala from mod events designed my florals and they turned out better than I could ever imagine. Kala designed a floral chandelier, within my budget, and my jaw was on the floor when I saw it. Every picture looked absolutely stunning with the floral chandelier and all of the other florals and decor she curated. Can not recommend Kala enough to design your florals. These women are AMAZING!!

Fantastic experience: We absolutely loved working with Kala and her team for our wedding in April 2025. We worked with Kala for a year and a half leading up to our wedding and it eased a lot of our stress throughout the process. Kala has such an advanced expertise on all things in the industry that anything I threw at her, she was able to provide excellent recommendations. Many of the vendors we chose were per MOD recommendation, which we couldn’t be happier with. Her and the team were instrumental in making our wedding a huge success. She is very organized and started a wedding timeline for our day, the minute we signed with her team. We had many calls throughout our year and half planning and met in person multiple times to go over rentals and visit our venue. On wedding day, everything went so smoothly. Kala remained in the background for most of the evening, but was always there to make sure my husband and I had full glasses and didn’t need anything. Fantastic experience: MOD Events literally became my fairy godmother. I am type A- very much a stressor and a planner- but not with Hannah. Hannah was unbelievable. Words cannot describe her. She orchestrated my destination wedding in which all 180 of my guests were out of town and she did it so smoothly, so perfectly. Not one hiccup. I was never stressed. Not once, I never had an opportunity to be with how amazing hands on and thorough she was throughout my 14 month engagement!!! She handled it all, and she exceeded our expectations in every way possible. Her whole entire team did. They are all fabulous, flawless. In fact, the morning of my wedding I did not like my makeup, and I tried to just hide it and push it away and redo it myself in the church bathroom (30 min before I was going to walk down the aisle) but the moment Hannah saw me and tore out of me what was wrong- she had found someone to redo my makeup within ten minutes of me telling her what happened. THEY WERE WAITING FOR ME AT THE RECEPTION HALL when I got there!!! I think she is magic. They all are. And I love them. You won’t find better than them ♥️♥️

They are so sharp and so creative when it comes to planning. They have years of experience and REALLY know what they are doing. Fantastic experience: I was the groom at a wedding Hannah and her team planned, the whole process from our first conversation to literally getting back to the room after the reception was planned and seamless. The day of the ceremony I could actually enjoy the ceremony and reception without worrying about the schedule, having time to eat, or even get my own drinks. They had our requested drinks and a big plate of food ready for me and my bride immediately after the ceremony, kept track of my phone, wallet and sunglasses, got refills for my bride and I before I realized I was almost out, and even planned getting the gifts and pictures back to the hotel for us. Hannah and her team not only took out all of the stress from our wedding day, but made it more enjoyable because of their care, attention to detail, and dedication to us having the perfect experience.

Kara was such an incredible resource and confidant. She was always straightforward and kind, and oh my goodness is she on top of it. Every piece of our wedding was delicately orchestrated. As a couple who had a destination wedding in Charleston (live in Texas), Kara's vast resources in Charleston made our lives so easy. She saved us an enormous amount of time. Instead of us having to feverishly search the internet and look up vendors we liked, reach out, and then just hope they are available on our wedding date - Kara did at all for us. We received a list of 3-4 vendors of photographers, florals, hair/makeup, entertainment, and cake providers, who were already available on our date along with pricing. All we had to do was pick from the list. It was an absolute breeze. On our wedding day, Kara and Hannah with MOD Events coordinated every vendors arrival, their set up, and timing of when our family and friends needed to arrive who were in the wedding. We didn't have to worry about a thing. We just got to enjoy every moment with the people we love the most. It was beautiful. I will tell you, I went into planning our wedding assuming this would be a stressful and overwhelming process, because that's all I had heard and seen from my friends. We had a short window to get married too with our work schedules (whole thing was planned in under 9 months). Hiring Kara and MOD Events was the greatest decision we made. I couldn't have had a more opposite experience from what my expectations were leading into it, and that is all because of Kara. I am so beyond thankful. Hire her! You won't regret it!

The day of our wedding Kala managed everything flawlessly. If something went wrong we had absolutely no idea, the day was perfect! They came highly recommended from our venue and choosing to work with them was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. One of our concerns was that we were planning a destination wedding for our guests and we didn’t live in Charleston so we didn’t know how to find the best vendors other than via google and through wedding websites. Kara was able to work with us to find the best vendors and scheduled time to meet in person to help us pick out our rentals. She also made suggestions on items MOD had in their own inventory we could use that would work with our decor. At no point did Kara ever try to push us to spend more than we were comfortable with and offered great advice on rentals where we could actually save on. Whenever we had a question no matter how small Kara and the team were great at giving us their advice and thoughts. What was truly amazing was how great Kara and her team were the week of the wedding. We felt absolutely no stress and every detail was handled beautifully. Kara and her assistant helped us have the most relaxed day. We can’t say enough about how much they went above and beyond for us on the day of the wedding. If you’re getting married and want to hire a team you can trust completely to help you execute the wedding of your dreams please hire Kara and Kala!

Fantastic experience: There are not enough words to describe Kara & her team! From the day we booked her, she was so attentive to our many emails/calls/texts as we planned my daughter's destination wedding from afar. She shared her knowledge with us on all perspective venues & avenues to take. Planning a wedding is very intense, especially in a destination where you're unfamiliar with everything, but Kara stepped in & made it easy. We could not have given my daughter what she refers to as "the best day of her life" without the help of MOD Events.

Fantastic experience: If you’re getting married in Charleston, PLEASE hire the MOD Events team! We worked with Kara for partial planning for our wedding and had Hannah with us on our wedding day too. Kara recommended and coordinated amazing vendors for us. MOD Events also did our florals and they were perfect – exactly like my inspiration photos and so beautiful! It rained on our wedding day and Kara was two steps ahead all day, making sure everything was perfect even with the last minute change of plans. She was our saving grace and got us organized flawlessly. Even my family mentioned that it seemed she had been planning with me since day 1 because there were no gaps or confusion. Our photographer (Shelby Stewart) was amazing, flowers were beautiful (Forever Flowers Charleston), catering was delish and they did fun customized stations themed for the places we’ve lived (Salthouse), hair (Costal Glam), and of course who couldn’t forget the cakes (Ashley Bakery)!! Living in LA and wanting to experience the joys of wedding tastings we decided to make a last minute trip to Charleston. Kala went out of her way to get us into all the tastings and meetings with these various vendors on short notice. The entire process was STRESS FREE, including a spontaneous venue change. Fantastic experience: A year and a half ago, I set out on my search for a wedding planner. I had phone call "interviews" with multiple planners, but I had an immediate connection with Kala. Kala is super relatable and down-to-earth. Charleston is known to be wedding central and I can sympathize with planners/business and everyone else always being extremely busy and having little time. This attitude showed through with many planning companies that I called in my initial investigative stage.
