Experiencia fantástica: I cannot fit all of the good things to say about Ellen in a single review. We worked together for almost 2 years to plan a fall 2021 wedding and I texted her 48 hours after our wedding to say I was experiencing “Ellen withdrawals” because she was so much more than just a wedding planner to us. Ellen had planned a friend’s wedding that we attended a few years prior, and we knew that her design completely matched the wedding we envisioned. She was the first and best decision we made during the process! Rather than spend hours Googling vendors, Ellen made the process incredibly easy by giving us a small selection of vendors she had vetted (and typically worked with before), but never hesitated to continue looking if we were not completely happy. She got excited when we thought of ways to make our wedding unique (corndog station, shuffleboard table, Chinese elements) and kept us on track with our budget – always adjusting in other areas when we went over in one area. The week and days leading up to our wedding were incredibly stressful, not because there were things that still needed to be done (Ellen had all of that covered well in advance), but inevitably because of weather. I had dreamed of an outdoor ceremony at the Swan House, but a hurricane was determined to ruin our plans. That week, Ellen worked closely with our florist (Chelsea from Luxe and Bloom!) and other vendors to design a beautiful rain plan indoors and she responded to my numerous text messages freaking out about the weather and the million other questions that popped into my head last minute. Ultimately, she delivered and made ALL of the correct calls – from keeping the ceremony outdoors to moving the cocktail hour inside – which was crucial because it started pouring 10 minutes after our ceremony. I could go on for pages about how wonderful she is, but hopefully if you have made it this far, you know to go ahead and book Ellen as your wedding planner – you won’t regret it!

Experiencia fantástica: Ellen and her team are the best! From our first conversation, she was more than willing to answer and provide direction throughout the process. Her professionalism, coordination, and organization kept me at ease throughout our planning. I love to be in control of situations that I have control over, I wanted to have a large hand in planning my wedding, I often cannot relinquish control, but Ellen met me where I was at. Allowing me to do what I wanted to be involved in and pulling together all the details that I didn’t think about AND keeping me sane throughout it. Her knowledge in the wedding industry is top notch. She provides excellent recommendations of vendors and will give her honest opinion, which was HUGE for me because I needed the reassurance! She allows room for creativity and understanding your priorities but is able to bring it all together to make the day absolutely fantastic. She thought of every little detail and it did not go unnoticed. Rain on your wedding day with a pause in the weather? Ellen will run across the venue to grab you for outside pictures that she knew were so important to you. I cannot say enough good things about Ellen. Even my bridesmaids have RAVED about her and their interactions with her throughout the day and were even surprised at how calm I was on my wedding day -- but I knew I was in great hands. She is prepared and truly makes the day run smoothly. I would recommend Ellen again and again!!! You truly cannot go wrong!!! Ellen, you are a rockstar. Experiencia fantástica: AMAZING!! I would say that Ellen Thomas is the best wedding investment you can make! Ellen helped us plan our wedding during the pandemic while we were living in Texas. When we came to Atlanta, she moved around her schedule to make time to meet with us and also had many phone calls with us. Ellen took care of all the vendors and made sure no details were overlooked. The day of the wedding was so much fun and we truly enjoyed our day because Ellen dealt with everything behind the scenes. Ellen took control of the situation and allowed us to keep our minds at ease amidst the craziness. When talking with the band or the event coordinator on site in the months leading up, both raved about working with Ellen previously and told us we had made a great choice. Ellen is extremely organized and provides access to user-friendly software to help enter important wedding day information. The day of the wedding, she made sure everything ran smoothly and most importantly, stress free. We were so impressed and so were our families and wedding party. I always struggle with relinquishing control, but with Ellen, I knew immediately I could trust her to take over and she more than proved me right. When I got engaged I knew we would need a wedding planner because I live in Atlanta and my mom lives in South Florida. Thankfully, we were able to get married on July 25th, and while things were different from how we originally envisioned it was also more beautiful and perfect than we could’ve imagined. I can recall our first conversation. From the very beginning, Ellen made me feel special and important. She was genuinely interested in knowing how my now husband and I met, all about our families, traditions, and cultures. I knew she was a perfectionist. I look back now, and think back to all of the random, crazy hour of the day text messages, questions, etc. and Ellen was ALWAYS there, and ALWAYS made time for me. Ellen is incredibly well connected in the Wedding Industry, and her preferred vendors list was an absolute lifesaver! I ended up using 3 of our major vendors from her list, and I was extremely pleased with all 3! During our final walk though meeting, I felt I had a gladiator by my side. Ellen made sure everyone was on the same page, and that my vision had been communicated and interpreted correctly by the entire team. She was so well prepared with floor plan copies, contracts etc. and an entire binder dedicated just for us! Our family and friends are still raving about our special day! Ellen made sure we stuck to the timeline, and we did! Our wedding ran smoothly the ENTIRE night. Several of the other vendors we used have reached out to say they were so impressed with Ellen’s structured timelines and professionalism. Again, I cannot rave enough about Ellen, and her craft. To secure the venue and date we wanted, we had to start the planning for our wedding a year and a half before the big event. Experiencia fantástica: At first, I wasn’t completely sold on hiring a wedding planner, but my partner insisted (definitely the right call!), and I am so glad we went with Ellen Thomas Events! We chose the “Wedding Management” planning package (day of - but really month of - coordinating). With this package, we got access to a planning website, and Ellen’s notes and list of preferred vendors was incredibly helpful. We found most of our other vendors through her recommendations, and they were all wonderful! Annie was our actual day-of-coordinator, and she was absolutely amazing. She created a multi-page timeline with every aspect of the day planned down to the minute, but we never felt rushed or over-scheduled - instead, it was obvious that we were in good hands and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing! Everyone got to relax and enjoy the celebration and really be in the moment, no stress at all, while Annie made sure everything came together perfectly. For example - our getaway car didn’t show up as planned at the end of the night, she had already ordered us another car, had our bags in it and it waiting outside before even telling us. We reached out to Ellen about three weeks til the big day. And it changed everything...in the BEST way possible! She didn’t hesitate to jump into action! Her expertise and advise were critical every step of the way – from choosing the venue, vendors, guest lists, creating the day-of timeline and staying on time and within budget during the planning. We wanted to ENJOY the planning process! We also wanted a shorter engagement timeline. Those two factors led us down the path of considering a wedding planner. I actually went abroad for work just a week after our engagement, and we quickly realized many decisions needed to be made while I was gone. After connecting with Ellen, we set up a Google Hang (video conference) for the three of us to meet virtually. After hearing our initial ideas, she emailed a proposal with her vision and planning package options… and the rest was history! We knew we needed to book full planning and get all the help we could from Ellen. If you're getting married in Atlanta and live in another city, Ellen’s planning software is perfect for virtual planning. My Dad gave a shout out to Ellen and her team during his speech at the reception citing her 20-page PDF timeline for the weekend which spelled out every DETAIL and every minute of the event. That may sound overwhelming... but it was just the opposite. Reading through all of the details we’d discussed with vendors and seeing small decisions we’d made written out in one place gave us so much confidence that the wedding would run smoothly. And of course it did! If you want to enjoy your planning process, want guidance to make smart decisions and want to ensure your wedding represents who you are as a couple… WORK WITH ELLEN. She was available as a resource throughout the process, then stepped into high gear about 6 weeks before, helped us lock down details, and developed a weekend of game plan for us.
