Fantastic experience: Worked with Rachel and Frida as our day of wedding coordinator! Frida made my big day so stress free. Rachel was also very communicative and made adjustments to our schedule so seamlessly. Both are wonderful to work with!!! 10/10 on services and also very reasonably priced!!
Fantastic experience: We had an amazing experience with our day-of coordinator and highly recommend them. They were a fast and responsive communicator and gave us great vendor and rental recommendations, which was incredibly helpful as a couple with very little wedding experience. They ran the rehearsal smoothly and took charge with confidence. On the wedding day, they handled everything so seamlessly that we never heard about a single issue—any problems were clearly taken care of before they reached us. Truly made the day stress-free.
Fantastic experience: Our venue required a Day of Wedding Coordinator. I chatted with a few but could not find the right fit. Thankfully I found Rachel! We clicked right away. She understood exactly what I wanted and needed. We met with her and Christina for our rehearsal and they made everything so easy. Even got a little surprise for my daughter! The day of the event I did not worry about anything. Christina ensured everything was set up, ready and running smoothly. I was most worried about not being able to enjoy my wedding because of the logistics. But thankfully all was well managed and we had the best day! We were relaxed and able to fully be in our wedding! I cannot thank them enough. For anyone getting married, they are a must!
Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough about how much we appreciated having Rachel and her teammate, Alicia, coordinate our wedding. Rachel was extraordinarily organized and on top of things from day one, and as we got closer to our wedding, she was a speedy communicator, answering any and all questions that came up. We even had a small issue arise with communication with our venue, and Rachel stepped up and reassured us that if any problems came from it, she'd handle it--and she did! I am so grateful for the confident and no-nonsense way she managed everything, all while still being extremely kind and welcoming. She's someone you quickly feel able to confide and trust in. On the day of, Rachel and Alicia set up our decor stunningly, improving on our own ideas. And throughout our reception, we didn't have to give a thought to the flow of events or making things happen--we just got to enjoy it while Rachel and Alicia made things flow smoothly behind the scenes. They also made packing up a breeze, and we were out of the venue almost immediately after our event wrapped up. I cannot emphasize enough what a difference booking Rachel and her team made to our day, and I highly recommend them! I can't imagine our wedding day without them.

Fantastic experience: We had an incredible time working with Rachel. She was super friendly and helpful through the entire planning process. She gave great advice and really enabled us to do our wedding OUR way. She did a great job running the rehearsal and made everyone feel comfortable and prepared. On the day of our wedding, she and her incredible assistant covered everything. I felt like I could really relax and enjoy myself knowing she had everything handled behind the scenes. 100% recommend working with her!!
Fantastic experience: Rachel is a lifesaver! She's there for you from day one. We booked her for partial planning and I am so glad we had her through the whole process. Rachel is honestly more than just a coordinator. She got to know us and befriend us; I even got the cutest dinosaur plushie gift from her when I told her I was a paleontologist! She's on top of everything; she'll send payment reminders, reach out to vendors, give great advice, help you through rehearsal, and make you feel taken care of. Our wedding day went perfectly and we had zero worries about the venue, vendors, or guests. My partner and I were able to enjoy our day together! Thank you Rachel, and Austin! Fantastic experience: From the very beginning, Rachel was not only a sweetheart but also a true professional. We hired her for Day Of coordination for our wedding at the Catamaran, and she made sure everything was planned perfectly and ran like a dream. When the notorious bike riders of Mission Beach rolled by just before the ceremony, Rachel skillfully timed the start to make sure they cleared the area. It was such a perfect day, and we truly couldn't have done it without her!
Fantastic experience: Rachel is a gem. She was flexible and so easy to work with. The support we had from her the day of the wedding was so helpful. We had a very fun light hearted wedding and was hoping she would reflect that energy which she really did with dressing up and cracking jokes to break tension all while being attentive and professional. The only regret we have is that we wished we went with her full package.
Fantastic experience: We hired Rachel as our Day of Coordinator for our wedding in September 2023 and have nothing but praise to give. Rachel quickly responded to our emails, maintained detailed notes about our plan for the day, and executed on our plan. We also really appreciated how Rachel handled discussions with everyone. Fantastic experience: Rachel helped us plan and coordinate our wedding at our home. She was always very friendly and made herself available for anything that came up. We appreciated how responsive she was and her rolodex of vendors was excellent. I received a ton of positive feedback on her day-of coordination as well. We're really grateful for her support and it meant a lot that she had so much experience with queer weddings and knew of many queer and queer-friendly vendors. If I could do it again, I think I would seek out more hands-on planning services since I was the one would needed to work with the vendors directly during the planning phase. This is by design, however, since such planning services would have probably been a significantly larger expense.
Fantastic experience: Rachel was the PERFECT day-of coordinator for our special day. She is communicative, efficient, professional, and easy to work with. She showed up to our rehearsal with a vision of our ceremony and executed it perfectly within the 1 hour rehearsal window. I DIY’d most of my own decor and emailed her how I wanted everything set up, and she executed it perfectly. We didn’t have any hiccups in our ceremony or reception, it was truly a perfect night. Rachel and her team packed up our gifts and decor at the perfect time and we were able to just take it with us right when the night ended. Our family and friends didn’t really have to help with anything at the end of the night because Rachel was on top of it. I highly recommend San Diego Life Events for coordination! Thank you, Rachel!
Fantastic experience: Rachel was fantastic to work with. She helped me plan a wedding in San Diego while I was living on the East Coast, and helped me through the entire process from start to finish. Her recommendations and insight in venue, catering, and rental selection helped take a gigantic workload down to a manageable one. She helped me understand the array of costs listed on the various vender Estimates, and upon my request help me find less expensive alternatives when available, saving us a ton of money. On the day before and the day of, she was invaluable. She helped keep everything running smoothly, allowing me and my spouse to focus on the event and the guests. She was such a great planner to work with.
Fantastic experience: So just like many other of you couples we were somewhat clueless on the wedding process and Rachel held our hand along the full process. She was quick to answer any and all questions we had. She was very attentive before and during the wedding as she even brought us food and drinks going above and beyond for her clients. She was great at coordinating all of the venders. Even though there were some unexpected hiccups in our wedding not due to her, she was able to pull everyone together and make sure we had an amazing experience and fun celebration for us and our guests. We definitely recommend her! She is wonderful!

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience working with Rachel! We did the full package because between my job and COVID, I didn't have any time to plan a wedding. It was the best decision I made -- she booked a florist, got a beautiful (and honestly the most delicious) wedding cake, negotiated down the price of our catering, and hired a very lovely and professional DJ too! She has great connections to some excellent vendors in San Diego to make your wedding special. We did the event in my backyard. She came over a couple of times to get the layout and help plan everything. She was very organized and kept us on track the day of the wedding. She is super duper responsive. She sometimes got back to me in a matter of minutes to hours (faster the closer it got to our wedding date). She communicated well and clearly. She made me feel like I was the only wedding she was working on rather than just another client. She is bubbly and lovely and energetic! I really enjoyed working with her.
Fantastic experience: My fiancée and I have been working with Rachel for over a year planning for our wedding, but due to COVID, we had to postpone our wedding from October to June 2021. From the first time we spoke to Rachel for our consultation, we knew we were in good hands. Fantastic experience: Rachel and her team helped me with my husband's 50th birthday party. She did an incredible job and we heard from all of our guests what a great party it was. She really listened to the vision I had for the party and made some great recommendations. Everything from the food, the decor, the steel band and folks working the event were above our expectations. I was a bit nervous as I am a bit of a control freak and she made things so incredibly easy for me. She suggested an indoor mini golf set up which was a great idea and made for a lot of fun. The flowers were incredibly, very unique and beautiful and fit the theme perfectly. Having someone else be responsible to make sure it all went well made the event that much more enjoyable for me as I could relax and enjoy the event and visit with all of our guests. She even stepped in when we had some uninvited/unknown people try to crash the party. I will absolutely use her and recommend her for any type of event. She is a real gem and I am so grateful that we found her for this event.
Fantastic experience: Rachel did a fantastic job for my husband's surprise party. Despite it being a smaller event she definitely went above and beyond to make sure that everything went perfectly. Having her there coordinating everything on the day of the party allowed me to focus on my kids without having to worry about the party. She's super friendly and everyone loved her, would definitely recommend her for any event large or small.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of getting to work with Rachel 4 months prior to my wedding. She came to the rescue every time I started to have a bit of anxiety planning for the wedding. I reached out to her when there were many questions that came up while planning in which I had no idea how to answer or know where to begin to research. She calmed my nerves multiple times throughout the wedding planning process and she always responded via text or email very enthusiastically, quickly, and reassuringly with more advice than what I would have expected. I must thank her for providing over half of the vendors and services at my wedding which is why and how my wedding turned out not just beautifully but, beyond what I even imagined. From the florist, to the deserts, to the linen/rental and to the smallest details of signs/decor, I owe a lot to Rachel for helping make everything come to life. All vendors she recommended were very cost efficient, friendly and did their job well with enthusiasm just like her :-) She also provided all 12 of my table center pieces, my sweetheart table mr/mrs. sign and came to the rescue with a back up ceremony aisle runway as the rental company forgot my runway! Not only is Rachel an amazingly organized and friendly coordinator, but she's FUN and all of my guests were raving about her! I along with all 115 guests recommend her as all of our guests came to know her throughout the night. Rachel helped make the best party of my life one to always remember and I can say so with my utmost enthusiasm. Fantastic experience: Hi everyone, my name is Christy and my husband I had the lovely experience of working with Rachel and the San Diego Life Events team for our wedding at BRICK in San Diego. As the story goes, my husband and I booked our venue, and were hoping to find a coordinator who could take our remaining budget and plan/coordinate the rest of our big day. Through the power of the interwebs, we were able to find Rachel and the San Diego Life Events team :) From the start, Rachel was super amazing to work with. She was quick to respond, and super patient and kind with all my questions (I plan events for a living, so it was kind of hard to relinquish that responsibility to someone else, lol). Rachel was the perfect fit for us. Prior the wedding, Rachel was incredibly responsive and super duper solution oriented. I felt like she understood my vision of a sweet, simple, and fun celebration and brought it to life. When the day came, everything ran smoothly- her team came to assist, and they kept the day running smoothly! We also loved all the vendors she chose- the rentals were lovely, the photographer was amazing, the DJ kept the party going, the bartender was sweet, the florals were fantastic, and the catering company was awesome! Note-- she even worked with the catering company to make our dream Filipino menu (complete with pig) happen. Fantastic experience: I first met Rachel last year at my sister’s wedding. Her wedding went absolutely seamlessly and so I knew when the time came for me to plan a wedding that I’d reach out to Rachel and San Diego Life Events. One of the first things my now husband and I did after we got engaged was call Rachel to start tackling the wedding planning. We met Rachel at her office and went through what exactly we were looking for as far as style, venue, price, etc. Rachel offers an all inclusive package that includes about 90% of all your total wedding expenses (venue, party rentals, DJ, floral, cake, officiant, etc.). So we chose to go with the all inclusive package. We ultimately chose to go with The New Children’s Museum as our wedding venue. We absolutely loved our wedding at the museum but they did have a strict required vendors list we had to stick to which really inflated our budget. Rachel did an AMAZING job to keep us as close to budget as possible. I’m also an incredibly anxious worry wort, so I was emailing and texting Rachel almost weekly to go over this and that, asking her questions. She was always so helpful and happy and got back to me ASAP. Rachel was truly priceless during the planning phase however absolutely essential and necessary the day of. She coordinated the drop off and set up with all of the vendors, set up all of the table decor, kept the whole wedding party on schedule, and did all of the take down. I truly couldn’t have done it without her! Rachel and San Diego Life Events were great and worth every penny
