Negative experience: The entire team is the most uncommunicative people we've encountered in planning our wedding. They don't care to take notes when you have calls with them nor do they care about responding to texts to confirm info in writing. They also could care less about future military spouses which is sad because some of their staff are married to veterans. If you are planning your wedding avoid at all costs unless you want to be treated disrespectfully by this team.

Fantastic experience: Becky and her team did an incredible job with the planning and day-of coordination of our wedding in New Orleans. They gave us honest opinions about the essentials, kept us to a timeline, and recommended the most incredible vendors. We had such a unique beautiful wedding that reflected our style because of them! The day-of coordination was also perfect. Zoomz was amazing, and not a minute went by that I didn’t have a drink or food. Fantastic experience: I HIGHLY recommend a wedding planner. Becky and Julia helped us to plan and execute our vision of our wedding day. They helped us sort through our ideas and also helped us not waste time out things that wouldn't work out well. For example, using real candles instead of tea lights is a waste of time because the candles just blow out. That saved us so much money and our reception still looked so romantic. Becky made sure I didn't have to do any problem solving on our wedding day and I could just enjoy the day. If something went wrong--then I had no idea. They work with reputable vendors so you can trust your vendors which is so HUGE. I cannot recommend Spanish Oaks enough.

Fantastic experience: It's been one week since our wedding at Brennan's with Spanish Oak Events at the helm of the most important day of our lives. You can read my entire review if you like, but you could also stop here and just book them. I mean it - your search is over. Just do it. ...Still reading? Fine. You're like me then. A bit type A -- but not enough hours in the day to commit to blowing up your entire life to plan a wedding. I can confidently say now that I'm on the other side of it: It IS possible to plan a wedding without completely losing your mind. But you do need help. Spanish Oak Events (Becky) is the real deal from start to finish. They were the first to respond to my request for a proposal & first to schedule an interview with us - I took my time and shopped around briefly for other planners, but I knew in my heart that Becky was the right fit for us. Becky is warm, organized, process-oriented, well-connected, hilarious, and deeply serious about what she does. In an industry that has turned personal emotional moments into Instagram captions, Becky shines as an authentic human being with an iron-clad event production process. She understands how to read people (yes - including difficult guests & vendors) and will smooth even the finest wrinkles in a plan to ensure you get the outcome you desire. Oftentimes, Becky knew what we wanted before we even did. As a couple planning our wedding from afar (NYC) - it was always important to us to have someone local helping us along. There are so many nuances to planning a New Orleans wedding that you’d never know about - from special French Quarter taxes, to second line permitting, to filling out a Louisiana marriage license - Becky confidently ushered us through it all. Of course, there are the basics of planning any wedding that can also feel overwhelming. Budgeting? Becky has a template for that. Vendor contracts? Becky will read every single one before you sign to ensure you’re covered. Payment deadlines? Becky knows when every deposit is due & has it all organized seamlessly in her online portal. I literally work in event/production finance - and Becky was still always, ALWAYS a step ahead of me. Our wedding guests cannot stop gushing over how "well-run" and "comfortable" the event itself was. We all felt like we were floating all weekend - and have yet to come down from the high of it all. I keep thinking back to the way Becky orchestrated the entire end of our ceremony. She was somewhere between a director and a performer herself. The way she moves through an event is remarkable - present and focused, but fluid and jovial at the same time. It was like watching a professional dancer - you know that it takes years of training to get to that level of "effortlessness." Best money I've ever spent in my entire life. Hands down. I would do the wedding all over again if it meant I could have Becky plan it.

Fantastic experience: We worked with Julia and Becky from Spanish Oak Events to plan our wedding at The Columns Hotel, and we could not be happier! They were absolutely incredible. We were planning from out of state and relied on The Knot and Google reviews to find a wedding planner. I was nervous about making such an important decision remotely, but I truly could not have picked better. From our very first call, I knew Becky was an expert in her field and completely on top of her game. Fantastic experience: My husband and I absolutely loved our experience wedding planning, and we miss it every day. Julia went above and beyond, allowing us to ship our wedding decor to her house because we live all the way across the country. It was very helpful. Not only did we have our wedding on a holiday, but we also made some untraditional choices and pretty big asks, like real tattoos offered as our "thank you" gifts to our guests, and Spanish Oak Events were so supportive and encouraging of our vision. If we could start all over and do it again, we’d go back in a heartbeat, and I don’t think we’d change a single thing. All of the memories we have of that day are full of laughter.

Fantastic experience: Julia, Becky, and the entire Spanish Oak team made our wedding experience so memorable and ensured that it went off without an issue. Julia was excellent at taking all of the concepts and ideas that we had and merging them into a cohesive vision for the day. My wife and I live in Houston, so we had weekly calls with Julia to go through the planning process for a New Orleans wedding; she was so detailed and thoughtful during the meetings that when the week of the wedding came, our friends and family were impressed with how stress free we were ahead of the big day. I also appreciated the myriad of relationships that Spanish Oak was able to leverage for us to make sure we got the best deals for quality vendors (I still boast about how they paid for themselves twice over with the cost savings that they were able get for us). On the day of the wedding, Becky and Julia were on top of every aspect to ensure everything was on time and executed to plan. With 165 guests (99% of whom were from out of town) moving between the church and the reception venue, none of our guests ever mentioned not knowing what was going on or felt a lack of direction. Even more impressively, Becky kept me and my 11 person groomsman party in line and on task. Ten months into our marriage, my wife and I still get complements from our guests about how much fun they had: from the food, to the music, to the flow of the night. Fantastic experience: My now husband and I got married in March 2024 and had the absolute honor of working with Julia at Spanish Oaks. This is going to be a long one because I have so much love and appreciation for this team but TLDR: Spanish Oak Events is amazing and you should book them. Armad and I were not the type who had a clear idea of what we wanted our wedding to be. We knew we wanted it to be a day filled with love and fun! We are not from New Orleans or live there but it was where we went on our first trip together as a couple so it was a fun idea to get married there! After thorough research on planners, we decided to move forward with Spanish Oaks. With only a couple conversations, you can understand the passion this team has to make your day the best day ever. Their goal is to make the process effortless and boy did they deliver on that! We met with Julia over the phone over the course of a year to plan our wedding. We gave her the most broad idea of what we were looking for and she took that and ran with it. Throughout that year I never felt overwhelmed as Julia outlined all the dates of when things should be done by - the save the dates, invitations, vendor contracts, etc. How she stays on top of it all is truly a talent I want to steal. When it came to the actual day, I cannot express enough how easy it was. I didn't have to give my bridesmaids a single job other than to have high spirits because Julia and the team coordinated everything. They moved bags to the venue (and back), made sure we got everywhere on time, and kept everything running so smooth. When Armad and I got to the ceremony and reception, I just about peed my pants from happiness. It was absolutely wild seeing how our vague descriptions turned into reality. We were awestruck!! At the reception, we felt so taken care of with food set up for us and drinks full. We could just dance the night away and not stress to make sure things go where they need to. The team made sure all our belongings and keepsakes made it safely back to our suite. I also want to highlight the fact that Julia and team ensured not one but FOUR boxes of leftover food was waiting for us in our suite as well. It was an amazing day start to finish. Overall, booking Spanish Oak Events and getting to work with Julia was the best decision we could of ever made (second to getting married of course).

Fantastic experience: With Becky's help, my wife and I planned an Indian/Christian combo wedding in 4 months. Becky got us the best vendors (the flowers and decor were stunning) and guided us through the process telling us what was necessary and what was a waste of money. All wedding days have moving parts and unforeseen issues but Becky and her team were able to mitigate them all. Everyone that attended is still talking about how much fun they had... and so are we.

Fantastic experience: We had the pleasure of working with Julia from Spanish Oak Events for our big day and OH MY GOD was she absolutely amazing. She always had so many suggestions and helped us think outside the box. Not only that but she also had an amazing schedule with "homework" we needed to do in order to keep us on track. Honestly, if it wasn't for her we would have been drowning! The rest of the team behind SOE is just as talented and we have nothing but amazing things to say about all of them. They even sent back our clothes and some food to our hotel room after we left the venue and they even beat us back there! Fantastic experience: BEST experience working with the Spanish Oaks team - don’t even think twice, book them. I worked closely with Julia Parish, and I wish I could muster enough words in my vocabulary to describe how amazing she is. My partners cousin worked with her as well for her wedding and mimics my sentiments completely! She offered honest feedback throughout the planning process, never steered me in a particular direction, and always listened to my needs and helped my partner and I get to the vision we had in mind. Planning a large event for the first time is challenging and novel - she brought up ideas and topics I hadn’t considered and always had pro tips/suggestions to end up with the result we imagined. They checked in with all of our vendors well in advance, and ensured everyone was informed of necessary timelines. The planning process was smooth and truly not stressful because of this lovely team. Day off, she saved me and my wedding party/family. I was relaxed knowing I didn’t have to delegate tasks to friends and family and bother them. They even dropped off everything I left behind to our hotel room, along with food & dessert for my partner & our families! Fantastic experience: This is a small thank you for the absolutely outstanding work Becky of Spanish Oaks, has done. We started with her about a year prior to the wedding date and she was open and warm, and extremely knowledgable. If you are at the beginning of the planning process, it is hard to imagine all the details to think of and coordinate. Becky was on top of things from day one. The most important skill she has is her ability to understand different personalities. She is really highly attuned to different family needs and she manages to find a way to make everyone feel heard and understood and accomplish the goals of the wedding couple, while respecting everyone. She is open minded and progressive, but has experience working with all kinds of families. Becky has connections to some of the top vendors in the industry, and because of the ease that people have working with her, she has built lasting relationships with them. She has access to great deals, and saves a huge amount of time knowing what each vendor is capable of, always working toward the image you have of your wedding. In the midst of the planning we had several family hardships and Becky was honest and ethical and kind and took any additional stress out, while lending a great deal of support. I can't say enough good things about Becky and her team and recommend her highly, without any reservation.

Fantastic experience: It's hard to find words to describe how incredibly amazing Becky and the rest of the Spanish Oak Events team is!! We immediately knew Becky was the one for us after our first intro call based on her fun personality, her knowledge and experience of the New Orleans wedding industry, and her team's process for wedding planning. Throughout the planning process (we worked with her for 12 months leading up to the wedding), she kept us on top of everything that needed to be done, as well as prioritizing and sequencing everything. If we needed inspiration or ideas, she provided plenty with examples of weddings she's personally planned in the past. Even though we worked with her from out-of-state (Houston, TX), she learned our style and our vision so quickly, and helped us plan and create the most dreamy, fairytale wedding in New Orleans. For the wedding day itself, she was with me (the bride) and my bridesmaids almost the entire day, making sure we were adhering to the timeline but also having fun getting ready and taking pictures! Any issue that came up, she communicated it AND already had solutions or plan Bs ready so that I didn't have to think or worry about it. Becky made sure my husband and I had plenty of time for a private meal between the ceremony and reception, and we are SO glad because otherwise we wouldn't be able to eat the food we picked for our special day! Becky even went to our room during our after-party and made sure everything was clean, my bouquet was in a vase, and she left a sweet personalized note for us. Personality wise, Becky is one of the most lovely people my husband and I have ever met - it was a joy to work with her and she always did whatever she could to keep our stress to a minimum. When we visited New Orleans to do some planning with her in person, we genuinely had so much fun walking around the quarter with her, grabbing drinks, and seeing venues! We love Becky and the Spanish Oak team and would 1000% recommend them to anyone who wants to have their dream wedding!

Although we had to push our wedding back due to COVID, Becky always remained open, honest, flexible, creative and supportive throughout the process. Fantastic experience: I have been waiting two years to write this review! The ABSOLUTE BEST CHOICE we made for our wedding was hiring Spanish Oak events! WOW! Becky and her team are superheroes -- they are organized, passionate, creative, and a whole lot of fun!! We postponed our wedding by a year and they had the whole thing re-planned in 48 hours -- and we had monthly phone calls the whole year leading up to the new date. Plus -- you cannot go wrong with someone who vendors LOVE to work with. Fantastic experience: Becky and her team were such a pleasure to work with! We decided to switch planners when ours wasn't living up to our expectations and we are so glad we did! She helped us through planning our pandemic wedding and when we decided to go from 150 guests to 12 she supported us and helped us make the day truly special! Fantastic experience: This review is LONG overdue! But LOOK NO FURTHER FOR THE BEST WEDDING PLANNER! Becky was everything and more for our special day. I am a very detail oriented, decisive person and my mind works in a checklist. Throughout the planning process she matched that style and was above and beyond in her recommendations, her communication, and getting everything in order. She’s the perfect blend of extremely nice/warm, decisive, actionable, and graceful. We were an out of town couple from Texas and as you can imagine was quite stressful. Even though the nerves were still there and I was wary of the day of (all brides will tell you there’s something that goes wrong!). Not a thing went wrong!!!! In fact if I remember correctly, there was a potential issue w a water line that could’ve impacted the plumbing. This was found out just moments before my walk down the aisle and I never knew a thing! Her team handled it perfectly and nothing was impacted. Throughout the night she kept on schedule and her sweet husband made sure no family member or ourselves didn’t have a drink in hand. After the evening, they came back to our hotel and brought all of our things and goodies and even some leftovers from the night to snack on!! Becky is impeccable at her job and worth every penny - perhaps should even charge more! We had a huge amount of guests that had never been to New Orleans and still to this day people RAVE on and on about how it was the most fun wedding they had ever attended in their life. They even will say this while we are at others weddings! But for that many to keep that compliment and memory of our day even a year later attests to Becky’s work and planning. Becky if you see this, know you and your husband will always have a special place in our hearts for making our day the best day ever. And for forever making our wedding the best and most fun amongst all our friends and family! :-P

As an LGBT couple, she made sure to surround us with accepting vendors and had creative ideas about the structure for a non-traditional wedding. On our wedding day, Becky was calm, organized, kind and positive. She made sure we were always taken care of, on schedule and low stress. At the reception, her team made sure both of us and our parents always had a drink in our hands. Our parents were very impressed with her and her team and we could not have done this process without her. My wife still says this was the best money we ever spent. On a personal note, Becky and her husband Tom, who worked with her, are wonderful and kind people who will literally invite you into their home. Fantastic experience: I mean..do you know what uplighting is?!? Me either. That is why you need Becky Lampp! This review will not come close to the full scope of praise I have for Spanish Oak Events. I got married about 6 months ago, and 3 weeks prior to that date, our venue decided to put a ban on bands and become altogether impossible to work with. Becky immediately began work on finding a replacement venue that was able to accommodate all of our previously contracted vendors, negotiate pricing within our budget, and open their doors to us on such short notice. The result was an amazing and beautiful day that we will not soon forget!! I would urge anyone on the fence considering adding a wedding coordinator to the planning process to schedule a phone conversation with Becky for the following reasons: 1. She is a consummate professional throughout the entire process, and is able to navigate lots of personalities during a highly charged event. 2. She returns texts/calls promptly, and always has a workable answer to questions. 3. She has a vast local network of vendors at all price points (who all have great things to say about her), and is able to obtain quotes at lightning speed. 4. Rather than guesswork, she employs computer programs to determine spacial layouts of venues so that you can specifically design ceremony and reception layouts (and order the perfect amount of tables, chairs...). 5. She will provide her professional opinion on all topics wedding related, but ultimately respect your wishes and vision for your DAY. 6. And lastly, she continues to be very encouraging and positive throughout the whole process with thank you notes, a cute pre-wedding gift, and post-wedding compliments.
