Fantastic experience: Juliana was our day-of-coordinator for the reception, and she did an amazing job exceeding our expectations. Prior to the wedding, we communicated several times via Zoom, phone, and email to discuss the color scheme, decor ideas, linen choices, and more. She even attended our venue’s food tasting to show us centerpiece options, and we decided to rent additional items from her at a reasonable cost. Her designs were simple yet elegant and helped us save hundreds of dollars on florals. Juliana also joined our final details meeting with the venue coordinator to help plan the layout and table settings. A couple of days before the wedding, Juliana let us drop off our decorations and late-night snack bar supplies. We only gave her a general idea of how we wanted things arranged, and she executed everything beautifully, adding creative touches that went beyond our expectations. During the cocktail hour, she assisted with our photoshoot after quickly setting up all the tables and decorations. Throughout the reception, she kept us on track and ensured everything ran smoothly. She even made sure we were eating, despite us constantly leaving our sweetheart table to greet guests! At the end of the night, she carefully packed everything for us to take home. We’re so thankful for Juliana’s professionalism and care. She truly made our most important day stress-free and memorable. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I’m so glad I went with Juliana as my wedding planner. Her pricing was very reasonable compared to many other planners in Southern California. During the wedding planning process, I went through a major career change, moved, and was in the middle of buying another property all while my husband was deployed. Through it all, Juliana kept me on track with everything that needed to be done. Even when I fell behind, she always followed up and made sure tasks were completed. She was never rude, just firm in the best way, which I really appreciated and needed. Whenever I was in California, she was always willing to meet up to go over questions or details. Since I was planning from out of state, her availability was a huge help, she answered most of my calls right away, and if she missed one, she always called back within 30 minutes. On my wedding day, I felt like I didn’t have to worry about much. The only real challenge was dealing with the venue, and fitting our late night snack (the in n out truck on the premises) as the venue was being difficult, but Juliana handled almost all communication with them and made sure everything went smoothly. I couldn’t have asked for a better planner she was organized, reliable, and genuinely cared about making sure our day turned out perfect.

Fantastic experience: Juliana is amazing. We hired her as our "day of" coordinator probably a year or so out from our wedding date (9/2024). I interviewed close to 5 different wedding coordinators/planners and connected the most with Juliana because she is down to earth, relatable, and very knowledgable for the local area I was looking. From the first conversation to the last (and still some IG love!) about our wedding, she was always professional and thoughtful. She actually pointed me in the direction of my wedding venue (The Sepulveda Home in San Pedro) after our initial inquiry chatting with her about our wedding goals/vision because she thought it might be my "vibe"- and she was right on. This was before we even officially signed with her! Communication and organization were my top priorities and she delivered on all ends for that. I found our meetings helpful in terms of things left to decide/do. She always answered my emails and texts in a timely manner. She worked so well with our venue and other vendors too. Juliana was not shy about telling you her opinion on things for the benefit of the bride/groom. We all can get a little carried away with our plans and budget overrides, and she helps to reel it back in without losing the vision and magic. She works with a florist that just made everything even more easy!! Unfortunately I had a dress emergency and needed a new alteration shop and she got me info so fast! The day was FLAWLESS. To the point where our family and guests keep commenting on how smooth the day went! Even afterwards as we are packing and getting out the venue--Juliana was there to the bitter end, even helping with car/leftovers logistics. I still feel so bad we weren't there to help but she wanted to make sure we weren't part of the cleanup!! I can tell Juliana prides herself in being the bride/groom's person throughout the wedding process. She's kind, professional, and knows what she's doing. She easily balances all the dynamics and personalities involved in a wedding, and makes the process FUN and as low stress as it can be. I miss texting with Juliana and am so happy to see all the new couples she's helping with putting on the best wedding for them!! I cannot recommend her enough. You will not be disappointed! She saw us all the way through our wedding that included the day of, and after. She was as hands off and involved as we wanted. There were some things we wanted to take care of, but when we needed her to take control, she was there. When we started to freak out over the many, many (so many) details involved in our wedding, we sent Juliana a thousand texts, that she responded with care, timeliness, and thoughtfulness. When she was busy with another wedding, she would let us know her other obligations but would return our hundreds of calls, promptly. She anticipated our needs on the day of, and followed up with some post- wedding issues that we ran into. Her price fit our budget and she kept our wedding at a reasonable price. There was never a surprise bill or unaccounted cost. She guided us softly and kept us on track. We always felt involved in the planning and Juliana never took her eyes from us. Fantastic experience: We (parents of the bride) hired Juliana on the recommendation of our wedding venue, for "day of" coordination, but she actually provided suggestions/recommendations throughout the process that were very helpful in keeping us on track. The vendors she recommended were fantastic, and Juliana always worked with us to find palatable options budget-wise. She herself worked tirelessly and was always professional and non-judgmental about any of our choices (some planners can come across a little snooty), and worked directly with our daughter and son-in-law to make it a beautiful day they could enjoy and remember happily.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to leave a review for Juliana and her company in Beyond the Event. I am not a big person on leaving reviews, but considering that my husband and I just got married, it only felt right, because we had the most amazing vendors. We hired Juliana in 2022 about mid year but our wedding wasn't planned until November 2023. We hired her for month of day of , and even though it was over a year away, Juliana was the kindest; in that she still took calls and helped guide me throughout the year , which she didn't have to, because that wasn't a service we hired her for, but her generosity and kindness helped me and my now husband so much in planning our wedding She was very transparent with us, always communicated either through phone or email. She gave me so much advice and then the closer it started to get toward our wedding was even more helpful. We met her during the first walk through and Even our families loved her. She had told us at the beginning of 2023 that she wouldn't be able to physically attend our wedding because her sister was getting married the same day, but she did have two staff members, Jessi and Melissa, in which were going to be there at the day of. My husband and I had no problems with that considering she had helped us already through the entire way and we are huge on supporting small businesses. She helped assist the day of, and even though it was her sisters wedding, she still managed to FaceTime and communicate during the wedding with her staff to make sure that everything was running smoothly. She even contacted my mom and she also messaged me the day of congratulating us Which I felt was the sweetest thing she could have done. Coming up to the day of our wedding her staff, Jessi and Melissa coordinated everything so beautifully. They actually helped assist with our decor, movers and I and my husband's vision of our wedding and the way we expected it to look, absolutely came to life, they were on time with everything. The decorations were exactly how I showed them the placement of everything the guests even complemented, Jessie and Melissa , and how much fun they were and how sweet they were. I had a friend who wasn't so comfortable sitting on this one chair. She felt like she was going to possibly break the chair. She went to Jessi to see if there was anyway that she could switch chairs. Jessi made it happen and made her feel so comfortable that she could assist her. It was honestly really great to have a company that not only was there to help my husband and I but also tended to our guests. I just want to say a huge thank you to Beyond the Events owner and staff for making our important day one we will never forget.

Fantastic experience: I attended a wedding were the wedding planner was Juliana and I cant even begin with how amazing she took care of the bride and groom since the moment they arrived to the venue, and had her assistant Magerly take care of the wedding party. Both ladies ensured that the bride and groom always had a drink in their hand and never let them go to the bar unless it was for a shot! The reception was executed perfectly! It is absolutely clear that both ladies know exactly what they are doing and know how to discreetly work behind the scenes without giving the guests any clue what’s next on the program. Juliana and Magerly go above and beyond all the details no matter how big or small they may appear. There would be no hesitation to have them be part of any of our weddings in the near future!

Fantastic experience: It was so amazing working with Juliana for our wedding! We asked her if she could do florals for our wedding at The Lautner Compound in November. She gladly accepted and working with her was seamless and stress free! She was super helpful and great at suggesting different options since we were going to be getting married in the desert, and she was really good at just taking inspirational images we would send her and doing something unique and different on her own. She was able to work with our budget and still design something beautiful for flowers. She was kind and thoughtful, and made this whole process easy and joyful!!

Negative experience: Juliana from Beyond the Event did not conduct business in a professional manner. She cheated my family during preparations for a big wedding day celebration. It may come as surprise to you, Juliana/Beyond the Event, but my child is important, beautiful, and precious, too- everyone’s child is. My child is not a vehicle for your immoral and nefarious activities, especially on a wedding day. Instead of being humbled and apologizing, Beyond the Event came up with a web up lies that the owner tried to feed us. No mother should ever watch their child suffer during a time where we should be laughing with family and friends. Because I am a mother and because I am human, I ask you please to stop these actions immediately and have some more respect for the sacred institution of marriage. It’s not an opportunity to swindle people at a very vulnerable and important time. These are people’s lives. Juliana- I have overcome health obstacle after health obstacle to be present for my child on this most important day only to watch you destroy it. To this day, we are still mourning the loss of an eagerly awaited wedding celebration that Beyond the Event ruthlessly spoiled. Hiring Juliana was the worst decision that we will regret for the rest of our lives.

Fantastic experience: I’m a wedding photographer and have worked a handful of weddings with Julie since 2020 and she always holds the fort down! I have never once felt worried or stressed when we do weddings together, because I know she’s always there giving me updates, keeping me in the loop, and if ever problems arise, she had already thought of solutions to fix it. I always get excited whenever we get to work together. She’s the best ❤️

Negative experience: We were scammed by Beyond the Event and Juliana, and we are now left with permanent trauma. I do not want to write this review, but I am doing it to warn others. Even as I type this, I genuinely do not feel safe and I worry for my family, friends and entities, knowing what Juliana is capable of. We are all on high alert. My intention from this post is not to shame or hurt a business, but to speak truth about what Beyond the Event/Juliana did to us. We hired Juliana to be our wedding planner/day-of-coordinator. In the coming months, we often felt Juliana only had her own best interests at heart. For example, she tried to sell us her flowers/centerpieces (which we found overpriced and amateurish) when we could get them for FREE as it was included in our catering package. Juliana tried to convince us her arrangements were better than the caterer’s. Despite this, we decided to give Juliana the benefit of the doubt and kept her on board. Right before our wedding, Juliana emailed that she would not be coming to our wedding because something personal came up last minute. The email of her explanation looked suspicious- like a template used before. Juliana said she would be sending some people (who were strangers to us) to our wedding. However, our caterer and venue coordinator (and later photographer) told us that Juliana had planned on skipping out of our wedding for quite some time- there was nothing last minute. We had no choice but to fire Juliana for breaking her own contract and for lying. We could not trust her. On the day of our wedding, we saw on Instagram that Juliana was likely coordinating another wedding. She was trying to double dip! We were later able to confirm this. We could not fully enjoy the moment because of the overall shock we had just experienced. When we asked for our money back, Juliana initially refused. Later, Juliana said she would return our money if we signed a contract that said we would not write any negative reviews about her on Google and other wedding websites. This is absolutely illegal. If you are wondering why there are few negative reviews about Beyond the Event, this may be it. We sought counsel from a lawyer who told us that this looked like a case of “fraud in the inducement.” The lawyer wrote a demand letter for us and eventually with a court order, Juliana had to refund our full payment without any stipulations. We felt like we were bullied and gaslit by Juliana, to the point of mental fatigue and anxiety, throughout this process. For example, after we fired Juliana, she obtained a private document that contained personal information about our family and friends and tried to use it against us. What a violation. I would NOT recommend Juliana or Beyond the event. If you do decide to hire her, here are my suggestions: do not share any personal information with Juliana. Make sure you have Juliana’s business address. Read the contract carefully- if it says Juliana is to be present for the wedding, make sure she shows up. If it says that others can take Juliana’s place- make sure you have them involved from the start so that you can see if you can trust them with your guests. Put all conversations with Juliana on paper. Do not pay Juliana until after the wedding. Pay in a protected method, not Venmo or Zelle. Beware of her lies: Juliana tried to tell us that back at the time of signing the contract, she informed us that because she is a military wife, she needed to have the freedom to leave at any moment, so her actions were acceptable. She never told this to us. If you needed that liberty, why would we or anyone hire you? It is unethical to use your position as a military wife to swindle people. I have never seen someone so comfortable with lying as Juliana is. I am sad to know that this was not the first time Juliana has double dipped on wedding coordination duties. To the other couples out there who were hurt by Juliana and silenced: I am sorry and I deeply resonate with your pain. But I am here to speak out for all whose wedding day was cruelly stolen from us by Juliana.

Fantastic experience: Beyond the Event was my day of wedding planner/coordinator, although she offers full service wedding planning! Julianna went above and BEYOND for me. (She really was spot on with the name of the company, it embodies my experience perfectly) As the first one of my friends to get married, I honestly had no idea what I was doing. Julianna was there every step of the way to calm my nerves, offer great advice, and her extensive experience in this industry makes her so trustworthy. My wedding was about 350 people, so much going on, so many things to think about. Man, did she have it covered down to every detail. Julianna and her team think of everything so you can enjoy your day knowing it is handled. I truly had the best experience and even when things went array, I honestly had no idea because she kept it under control and fixed the issue. She is the easiest person to talk to and truly cares about your vision. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

As a wedding photographer weddings can be super stressful if you don’t have all the right information or a correct timeline. Juliana has always gone above and beyond to get me what I need for the day and make sure the whole wedding team is on the same page. She’s super fun to work with and I’ve watched her run around on the wedding day checking on everyone and everything. She goes the extra mile not just for clients but for the vendors as well. Fantastic experience: We were so grateful to have Juliana as our month/day of wedding coordinator! When we had our meeting to talk over the wedding she thought of several details we hadn’t and helped us get organized for our big day. She gave us great vendor suggestions and helped us make a great team. Leading up to the wedding she was communicative and well organized. I was so relieved by the tasks she took off my plate. I was able to sit back and enjoy the wedding with out having to worry. We had an issue with the shuttle that we booked but she let us know about it right away and handled it professionally. After the wedding she made a beautiful reel posted to Instagram of photos/video we hadn’t seen yet. That meant a lot, and was great to share with our friends and family. She was thoughtful, organized, professional and so easy to work with. We highly recommend Juliana!

Negative experience: Juliana of Beyond the Event deliberately misrepresented her availability to us for months and ruined the memories of our wedding. Instead of enjoying our first few months of marriage, we were cornered to take her to court. In September of 2022, my fiancé (now wife) and I signed a contract with Juliana to be our wedding day coordinator for February 25, 2023. The contract states that her duty is to provide on-site coordination for 8 hours. Five days before our wedding and after we paid her in full, Juliana notified us in an email thread response that she would not be coordinating our wedding due to a “last minute” military commitment. When we spoke to our other vendors right afterwards, they said that Juliana had given them advanced prior notice 43 days before of her planned absence. To fulfil her own contracted responsibilities, Juliana offered to send 2 people we had never met or spoken to, nor had visited the site, or been involved with planning our wedding to take her place. At this point, our trust in her as a person or a professional was completely eroded, and we feared that she would further sabotage or disrupt our wedding. Later, we found out that Juliana was actually coordinating another wedding on that same day & time for 10 hours. We could not see how Juliana could attend a wedding and military course at the same time. After we parted ways with her, she refused to refund us our money, although she breached her own contract. It should be noted that Juliana also sent us a “silencing” agreement on February 27, 2023 offering our money back with the contingency that we would not write negative reviews about her—in which we refused. On June 13, 2023, we were forced to face Juliana in court, in which a judge at the Long Beach Court House ruled in our favor: Juliana had breached her contract by not showing up to our wedding. Note that while presenting to the judge during the hearing, Juliana told the judge & court that she frequently double-books weddings. (Court case number #23LBSC00353 Superior Court of California Los Angeles South District) I have never met anyone who is as untrustworthy as Juliana. I would caution anyone to use her services. She misrepresented her availability to us from the beginning and misled us during months of planning. I wonder how many other couples have gone through this exact situation with her but have never spoken up. If you do decide to use Juliana, my suggestion would be to hold her accountable to everything that is states in the contract and to correspond through email as the records may prove useful later on. We suffered emotional distress because of Juliana’s actions because it was our one and only wedding day. She ruined the memories of our wedding, honeymoon, and the start of our marriage. My goal is to warn other couples, so they don’t have to go through this! Lastly, I want to note that during and after this whole ordeal, Juliana has never once apologized. I cannot give negative or ZERO stars on this platform, as one star even feels generous. Beware of Juliana and Beyond the Event. The image attached displays all the binders of evidence that we gathered for court against Juliana. Time well spent as newlyweds :(

Fantastic experience: Juliana was great to work with as my Day of Coordinator for my wedding. She was attentive and patient, as we had quite a few children in our wedding party and was so kind and helpful. She answered many of questions I had months leading up to the wedding and put most of my concerns at ease, so I wouldn't have to worry about anything day-of. My advice to future brides/couples, is to include about 20-30 minutes to view & soak in your venue before your guests arrive to admire all the hard work that has gone into planning and to also allow time to correct any small details that might've been missed. Thank you Juliana & Team for all of your help, seriously could not have done it without you!

Fantastic experience: When trying to find vendors, I wanted someone who was personable and could cater to my needs. I didn't want another "here's our standard pricing, leave us alone now" vendor. Juliana was far from that! She was so personable and catered to what our needs were for the wedding. Price aside, it felt much more enjoyable and having someone on your side knowing that the price wasn't what they were after but a personable experience for you and your partner and making sure you are covered every step of the way. For us, this investment was probably one of the best ones we made. We can't thank Juliana enough and writing this review is the least we could do to make sure others know how much she did for us and how flexible she was with us with everything. Problems are always going to happen, but Juliana knew our vision for the wedding and made it happen. As far as anyone knows, everything went smoothly!

When we booked our venue I knew I wanted at the very least a day of planner so I could soak in our big day and not stress over the details, Beyond the Event was the recommended vendor for planning and I am so glad they were. Communication, expectation and month of was all seamless! I met with Julianna very early on and we were able to discuss the vision and what I wanted to do. I would say I was a bit of a DIY bride and she helped form and execute on exactly what I imagined. She is certainly an expert in the Industry and everything was perfect. Our rehearsal was quick, efficient and informative. Our wedding day was absolutely perfection! Not a single thing went wrong or was not how we imagined, a giant party with vows and everyone having the time of their lives. Julianna and her assistants kept the flow of the day on time, the dessert tables full, centerpieces gorgeous, the bride having a great time and wrapped things up essentially with a bow on it all. We wish we could redo this day each weekend simply based on how much fun we , the bride and groom, and the entire 150 person guest list had!

During our initial consultation/zoom meeting, Julianna was very attentive to detail and supportive in helping us make our vision come to life. She provided advice that eased my worries, and was always available for me when I had questions. At our rehearsal, she came with her assistant and they were very on top of things! On the day of the wedding, I was extremely happy with how they set up all our tables and decorations. No wedding is perfect, and there were some minor things that did not go right at ours because of the venue, and her team took care of things immediately without having us distracted from our day. Fantastic experience: I recently had my wedding and the day was absolutely perfect. There were some bumps along the way with my venue but Juliana from Beyond the Event made sure that everything on her end was taken care of and did whatever she could to help. She also did my florals and I am so happy with how everything turned out. My bouquet and the centerpieces were absolutely beautiful. She made sure the day ran smoothly, provided great input, and it was the best day of my life.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Juliana by my venue. Originally I had planned to do everything myself, but with nursing school taking up so much of my time I decided to hire a day-of coordinator. BEST DECISION I’VE EVER MADE!! Juliana really exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond to make our day hassle free. Everything fell into place so perfectly and I was able to relax and enjoy my day. Only a couple weeks before our wedding, our DJ backed out, I had decided I wanted a photo booth, and we were still looking for center pieces. Juliana saved the day with all 3!
