Fantastic experience: Christina is amazing. We read all the positive reviews and wondered how good she could be. She was THAT good. Everything went smoothly thanks to her. She helped us out at the church and organized everything at the venue. She was extremely responsive and provided all the reassurance we needed. She recommended our DJ who absolutely killed it on the night. We’re so happy we found her. If you’re having a wedding and reading through reviews, I’d check if she’s available for your date, have a chat with her and seal the deal before someone else does :)
Fantastic experience: Christina and her team were absolutely brilliant and incredible to work with for my daughter’s rowing awards banquet! She has a keen sense of understanding the client’s vision and her energy is calming and problem-solving all the way - she and her team makes it happen with high caliber expertise. One of my favorite things about working with her was she really had the insight to know what was best and when it was time to make suggestions, she did it in such a graceful way that I trusted her completely and her suggestions elevated our event.

Fantastic experience: We worked with Taneel for our wedding at South Coast Botanic Garden and she was AMAZING! She was always available to answer my questions. She led our rehearsal with ease and made our wedding go so smoothly. She pays attention to details and limits your stress as much as possible!
Negative experience: Share review Embed review 7/29/2020 Will NOT recommend The Events Boutique to any of my family or friends. We hired Christina for "day of coordinator" for our 70 person wedding at Shutters on the Beach. I have held off from posting this review in hopes she would have some consideration and reach out to me regarding my deposit but SHE HAS NOT and just kept my money!!! I'm not going to feel bad for posting this during the pandemic because she has blamed me for canceling my wedding and feels entitled to keep my deposit. This is NOT the type of person you want in charge of such an important day in your life!! Especially after you pay so much for your wedding day!! My wedding was cancelled due to covid (Shutters is closed through June) and when we found out (in March, 2 months before my actual wedding) I immediately contacted Christina to inform her the venue canceled our wedding and that I wanted to discuss my deposit because my fiancé and I do not have a postponed date due to the uncertainty of the virus and government mandated restrictions on large events. Her response was "it is non refundable and none of her other couples were asking about their deposit so she didn't know why I was and that I can use that deposit towards my future wedding date." After many weeks of negotiating with her, she only agreed to give me half of my deposit back because she claims to have spent some of my deposit on the 2 assistants she hired for my 70 person wedding that never happened! I asked her to show me proof of money spent on my wedding to date and she completely ignored my requests, multiple times. She only agreed to give me half of my deposit only after I sign her gag order. I told her I felt uncomfortable signing her document and she informed me that was the only way I could receive my partial refund! I feel it's extremely unfair that she's holding my deposit hostage and refuses to give me proof of money spent on my wedding. Christina says I cancelled my wedding, even though the venue did because it would be closed due to the pandemic and because I won't choose a future date, She does not need to give me back my deposit. I did not have anything to do with the Covid virus and because I cannot pick a future date for our wedding, she is refusing to give me my deposit back. All I was looking for was some kind of compassion from her but instead I was treated like I canceled my wedding so I don't deserve my money back...I had nothing to do with the venue being closed due to the pandemic...Why would I ever hire her to coordinate my wedding after she handled the situation like this?!?
Fantastic experience: We first met Christina through the South Coast Botanic Garden, and immediately my fiancée and I felt less stress about the overwhelming task of planning a wedding. She could not have been more generous with her time, showing us the entire Garden. After we hired her as a wedding coordinator, she has always replied to all of our texts and emails, being generous with her time, any time or day. Hiring her has been one of the best decisions we have made because she has been a tremendous help with recommendations for vendors and overall planning and budgeting. Through the process of planning a wedding she has become a good friend and we are very grateful for her planning and support
Fantastic experience: My husband and I are extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Christina and her team at The Events Boutique for our wedding. Christina and her team were very dedicated to our vision. They were professional, creative, friendly, and went above and beyond for our wedding. The moment we contacted Christina and had our 1st meeting, we knew she was the one to plan and execute our big day. She and her team made sure every single aspect leading up to and the day of our wedding was properly executed. They took care of us completely on the day of: making sure we ate, were sensitive to the tight schedule, and navigated 400 people across 3 events (2 weddings and a reception) in 1 day effortlessly. Christina was always available, answered millions of questions, eased our concerns, a great confidante, and someone who we truly developed a great relationship with. Christina and her team at The Events Boutique are the best and we cannot thank them enough for making our day the best. We highly recommend them for anyone looking to have the best wedding planner and team.
Fantastic experience: I can't thank the events boutique enough for all that they did. We went into our wedding day unsure of how beneficial a day-of wedding planner would actually be (we were very involved and hands-on with our wedding) but when the day came we realized how necessary and how helpful Cory and Taneel really were. They were ALWAYS 3 steps ahead of us, completely on top of everything, so patient and understanding when we had a hiccup with our venue... 48 HOURS BEFORE OUR WEDDING!!!! Taneel dealt with all of our vendors for us and updated them on the venue change when we weren't able to handle dealing with small details like that. We are Canadian and were in LA in February to meet all of our vendors and Christina was very accommodating about meeting us when and where it worked best. I completely understand why people rave about having a wedding planner and Taneel and Cory KILLED it. They helped make the day as beautiful as it was. We are so thankful for them.
Fantastic experience: I used The Events Boutique for my wedding this August in Spokane, Washington. Taneel LaForte was my wedding planner and day of coordinator, we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Taneel thought of things before I even had time to worry about them. She kept the whole day flowing perfectly, she was always smiling and very professional. There was never a question that went unanswered. The Events Boutique exceeded our expectations! Thank you The Events Boutique for giving us our dream wedding.
