Fantastic experience: Rosa was an excellent coordinator and planner for our wedding! At every point during the day, she was conducting the event and making sure everything went perfectly. When our caterer failed to show up on time, she was on the problem before we noticed it, called them, and got it fixed immediately. When vendors or family members had questions, she knew the answers. My (now) wife and I were able to relax and enjoy the event, comfortable knowing that Rosa had the details handled! Rosa also worked with us throughout our planning process: helping us find vendors, making sure we were hitting deadlines, and covering all our bases to get a wedding planned in the middle of a busy wedding season. Fantastic experience: We live in South Carolina and felt that we could use expert help planning for and executing a rehearsal/welcome party in Austin. The bride and her family were already working with Austin Wedding Planners, and we reached out to see if Rosa and her team would be able to help us with our welcome party. Our party went off without a hitch! Rosa is an excellent listener and communicator and that made us comfortable from the start. Rosa facilitated all of the meetings with the vendors and helped us choose the best ones for our party and the vendors did not disappoint! Everything was set up and ready to go when we arrived. The flowers from West Bank Flower Market were gorgeous, the food and drink from Maudie’s Tex Mex/Specs were delicious and the photographers from Main Squeeze Photography were such fun and took great pictures to help us remember the evening. Rosa’s attention to every single detail resulted in a seemingly effortless party for our family and friends. I had a friend comment that I looked so relaxed in the pictures from the party and I told them I was- because I KNEW that Rosa and her team had everything taken care of.

Fantastic experience: Rosa was so amazing during our entire wedding process, but I can’t state enough how much her and her team did for us on our wedding day. Our biggest reason for hiring a wedding planner was so that us and our family were free to enjoy our day without any stress or jobs to do. Austin Wedding Planners coordinated everything for us flawlessly with a very complicated venue. Her team and all of our vendors set up the entire venue in only 2 hours all while navigating around us taking our pictures and as guests were beginning to arrive. Another underrated thing that we had never considered before the beginning of the wedding planning process was the quality of contacts and vendor relationships that Rosa has with the other wedding vendors in Austin. She helped us plan our entire wedding from out of state and was able to help guide us towards vendors that she had a great relationship with that would work best for us. On top of that she was able to help us find budget friendly options, which in the Austin wedding scene is not the easiest thing to do. Rosa is literally the sweetest woman. She works so hard for her couples and is genuinely happy and excited to get to know us and to make our day exactly what we want it to be. She has a ton of experience in the Austin wedding scene and we can’t recommend her highly enough!

Negative experience: We had a terrible experience with AWP. Rosa claimed to have a good relationship with our chosen wedding venue, who only work with an approved list of wedding planners, only to learn from them that she was NOT on their approved list due to having almost ruined several weddings and ruined relationships with vendors. We switched to a new planner recommended by the wedding venue, but if not for that, our wedding would likely have been ruined.

I know wedding planners can be an extra expense when you’re looking at how to save money for a wedding, but the number of headaches and amount of anxiety that I avoided was totally worth the price. When my husband and I got engaged, we had made an initial guest list to help identify how big of a venue we would need. The venue stated that we had to hire a day-of wedding coordinator, which was something I had already considered, but having that decision made for us actually helped. After interviewing several wedding coordinators and wedding coordinating companies, we discussed it and chose Rosa. She had years of experience, had several glowing reviews, and most importantly, seemed to genuinely want to help us have the wedding that we wanted. She was always extremely enthusiastic and joyful about our ideas. When there were times that our ideas didn’t seem quite plausible, she helped nudge us in the right direction without being too forceful and always explained her reasonings so that we didn’t feel that she just wanted what was easiest for her. She always gave us several recommendations for each vendor type and then introduced us via email to get the ball rolling. As the wedding got closer, she was more and more in touch and helped everything stay on time and organized. The day of the wedding, she worked behind the scenes so that I didn’t have to worry about a thing and kept us all on track. I’m always at least 5 minutes late to everything and she even included that in her plan so I was on time for once in my entire life! After the wedding, my friends said that she was able to help keep all the packing up organized and everyone knew their roles. She even made sure to save my husband and myself to-go boxes so that we wouldn’t be hungry late at night. Turns out those to-go boxes had enough food for the two of us to eat for about 5 more days, but it was delicious, so we didn’t mind! Here I am finally writing a well overdue review of a 2018. Cinco de Mayo wedding, all because there is just so much to say and could not possibly express in words how amazing they are. Rosa and Richard are both miracle workers! I contacted Rosa less than 2 months before my wedding, and she was my main point of contact who jumped right into planning. I can't tell you how many qualities these folks possess - strong work ethic, diligent, detail oriented, flexible, and always thoughtful of her clients. I'm a very particular person who gets involved in a lot of details with very high standards. She surpassed my expectations! There are a lot of examples I can list but will focus on a couple of specific things that happened that show how they are the absolute best in town, and the reason you should hire Austin Wedding Planners. An entertainment vendor of mine cancelled on me the day before the event. Rosa called assuring me she already had a backup person aligned without me needing to find someone else myself. What a relief! My husband had left the party favors we were supposed to put together back at the venue the night before. At that point I just said F it, guess guests wont be getting our awesome party favors.... To my surprise, when we arrived the day of, without even asking, her team had helped assemble and package the favors! This was an example of them going above and beyond whatever I expected. I also had an extremely difficult time reaching some of the vendors I had contracted with before I hired AWP. She stepped in and took care of every detail for me every step of the way, including scheduled timelines and making sure everyone is on task the day of the event - not to mention how fantastically well dressed they were! Fantastic experience: As other reviewers mention, Rosa was crucial for the success of our wedding and I could go on gushing about what an amazing person she is but let's get down to the brass tax. Wedding planners are an added cost for any budget. Unlike other planners, Rosa more than covered the costs of her own services not just in time she saved me with vendor recommendations but in savings we realized by using her as our wedding planner: 1) 10% off entire catering order for 140 people by having direct relationship with caterer! 2) 10% off event rentals for having wedding planner discount! 3) 10% off from baker again for 140 people by having direct relationship with Rosa! The amount of savings from vendors more than justified Rosa as our wedding planner. You really should look no further because she is the right choice economically and professionally. Now for the gushing. Rosa was a God send for our wedding and remained the consummate professional with the utmost attention to detail but more importantly she became a friend through this process so much so that she and Richard even attended our rehearsal dinner as guests. Without Rosa our wedding would not have been such a roaring success. I'm so glad we hired her and I give my sincerest and highest recommendation of her to anyone looking for a wedding planner.

Fantastic experience: We had a small wedding with about 30 guests, and we initially intended to plan and execute everything on our own, with some help from the venue's manager. Wedding planning was a lot harder than we expected, even for a small wedding and even with a hyper-organized bride. A few months before the wedding, we realized we needed some help, and it was kismet when we met Rosa. Rosa served as our day of coordinator, but she helped us in the months leading up to the wedding, recommending vendors as needed and checking in with us to see if we had any questions and offer suggestions, ideas, and helpful checklists. There were a lot of things we had no idea we needed to think about, so it was really helpful to have Rosa and AWP on our side. The weekend of the wedding, Rosa and her team helped everything run smoothly. Fantastic experience: My husband and I had the most wonderful experience with Rosa and Austin Wedding Planners! I cannot say enough about how beautiful and perfect our wedding day was! There were a couple elements to our wedding that made planning challenging: 1) We live in Houston and are busy professionals, and were planning a wedding in Austin, and 2) we only had 6-7months to plan. Despite these challenges, Rosa was the MOST organized planner I have ever met and so accommodating to our busy schedules. She had constant communication with us through the whole process, and never failed to follow up on a task/issue that we discussed. Not only did she speak to us on a weekly basis from day one (which increased in frequency closer to wedding day), but she worked mainly with my mother, who lives in Austin. Despite working the majority of the time with my mom, I never felt left out of a decision because Rosa made it a point to always follow up with me. There were a few instances that my mother and I did not see eye to eye (ie. The wedding topper, sign in book, etc), however, Rosa was amazing at mediating these discussions and finding a way to make everyone happy! Looking back, I believe that the qualities that makes Rosa exceptional are 1) her experience, 2) her organization and communication, and 3) her professionalism. In terms of her experience- she has been in the business a long time (starting off as a caterer) and knows all of the vendors in the Austin area. She would find 2-3 choices for us to pick from, and coordinated all the appointments in a timely manner. Her vendors did not disappoint in their professionalism and quality of their work- I could not have been happier with our DJ, officiant, florist and caterer who she had great rapport with. They were also very familiar with her work style and organization, and had wonderful things to say about her. It was a very positive experience! In terms of her organization- she made us feel as though we were her only clients when in reality she is planning a wedding almost every weekend! She remembered every detail and likes to be included on every email to ensure she stays in the loop. In the beginning, I thought this might be a little much (!) however, as more and more vendors got involved it was VERY difficult to keep track of all correspondence and it was very reassuring to know that Rosa was keeping track of everything so well! She met with my mother almost every week, and with us living in Houston, she had several planned meetings with us throughout the process outlining every minute of the wedding day to stay on track. This made our day absolutely perfect. And lastly, her professionalism was top notch. She is gracious, warm and accommodating all the time! We had some tense situations the week before the wedding and she was entirely calm and professional in times of stress. Not to mention my family and friends loved her! She came to both our rehearsal and post-wedding brunch and we got so many compliments on what a fantastic job she did from all our relatives. I want to thank Rosa and Austin Wedding Planners for making our wedding day literally PERFECT! I’m sure it took an incredible amount of coordination behind the scenes to make everything appear so seamless, but to my husband and I everything went as planned and we were able to just enjoy ourselves all night long. I would highly recommend Rosa as your number one choice for wedding planning in the Austin area.

I have known Rosa for many years and our professional relationship quickly developed into a friendship. I have also been working alongside and at the direction for Rosa for the past couple of years for day of coordinator service. From helping watch one of the bridesmaids little boy (he LOVED Carly!) to being prepared with supplies like safety pins to help the groom with a tear in his sleeve to busseling my gown (a total group effort), Austin Wedding Planners made sure our wedding day went smoothly. We spoke with Rosa in July of 2016, when I reached out she took her time to learn more about me, my husband, and our wedding wish list. She was very patient and gave a thorough overview of her services. She was extremely prompt in sending us a bid. What I liked the most is that Rosa really listens and gets to know her clients. Fantastic experience: Austin Wedding Planners did a phenomenal job coordinating our wedding. My wife and I consulted Rosa rather late in our own planning stage (previously thinking we could do the day-of-coordination ourselves… HA HA HA). With only 30 days until the date, Rosa and her team was able to efficiently get up to speed on our wedding details, synchronize with our vendors, and work on our wedding day schedule/routine details. Additionally she worked with our budget and was very flexible and reasonable. Working full-time and planning a wedding could be daunting at times, but Rosa kept me informed, managed my timeline and made sure that all contracts and arrangements were made in the appropriate timeframe. Fantastic experience: We hired Rosa at Austin Wedding Planners as our day-of coordinator, and were so thrilled with how everything turned out! We were fairly organized with the planning, but knew we wanted someone who would help handle vendor communication, set up, timeline, and breakdown. We didn't want to be the point people for this on our wedding day. She picked up on our style right away and always knew exactly what we wanted even if we couldn't articulate it ourselves. Every one of our wedding guests (literally) told us our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to, and I agree! When we arrived at the venue (Laguna Gloria) it was just breathtaking - I couldn't believe how they had transformed it into the most elegant, chic, and romantic place I'd ever seen. Fantastic experience: My wedding coordinator, Rosa Gibson of Austin Wedding Planners, helped me to put on a wonderful wedding at a brand new venue in Dripping Springs, Texas in July, 2016. Rosa was extremely knowledgeable about the entire wedding process and guided me from start to finish. This was especially important because our venue did not include any services, so all of my vendors were a la carte and had to be managed in order to perform the wedding. She was organized, prepared, and very responsive to all of my questions throughout the entire process. Rosa ran the wedding rehearsal very well on the day before the wedding. On the wedding day, she and her staff members made sure that the wedding was carried out as planned and on schedule. They did such a good job with running the wedding, that even several of our guests complimented her and her team directly. My husband and I received many many compliments from our guests about what a great time they had at our wedding, and I can say without a doubt that Rosa and her team are the reason that everything went so well. I highly recommend Austin Wedding Planners for any and all wedding planning services!

Fantastic experience: Rosa was the best decision we made regarding our wedding (other than deciding to get married of course :P). The planning and execution of the wedding is SO crucial, and Rosa did a fantastic job with it all. What you get with Rosa is an amazing planner with an amazing price. We got the day-of package, but unlike some wedding planners out there, she did more than just help us the day of. She and I were e-mailing/talking on the phone constantly months before the wedding, and she was so available with answering questions and providing referrals. She is so experienced and was able to provide us wonderful referrals for our big day. The day of and and even after the wedding, several guests told us what an outstanding job Rosa did with the wedding. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!

Fantastic experience: We hired Rosa from Austin Wedding Planners for our wedding in July 2016. We chose to do the Extended Wedding Advisor package, and it was worth every penny! We were planning our Austin wedding from Connecticut, and I don’t think we could have pulled it off without Rosa’s excellent support. Rosa was very accessible by email and phone call, and helped accommodate our needs by meeting with vendors when we couldn’t be there. Rosa really knows the Austin wedding scene, and her vendor recommendations were spot on! Her experience working in the wedding industry allowed us to save time searching for the right caterer, venue, bakery, florist, etc. Rosa was very detail oriented and we discussed every aspect of the wedding to make sure it went just as we had envisioned. We wanted our wedding to be a great party for us and our families, and it was everything we had hoped for, thanks to Rosa’s planning assistance and her flawless coordination on the wedding day! Rosa and her staff were working hard for us, and we got to enjoy our wedding, 100% stress free!

Fantastic experience: We hired Rosa as a day-of-coordinator for our wedding and she did an absolutely amazing job! Although she was a day-of-coordinator, she worked with us before the wedding as well. She was able to get all of our vendor's contacts and she made sure that they were all updated with new plans etc. She also created a very organized and detailed itinerary. We had a few in-depth sessions where we went over every single detail so that she could create this. We also had a run-through session with her and the caterer so we could plan where we wanted everything to go. Every vendor and every single person in the wedding was sent the itinerary and I truly believe her detailed organization and this itinerary made the wedding run so smoothly. I have a tendency to get stressed, but on the day of the wedding I didn't feel stressed at all! As far as I am concerned, everything was absolutely perfect that day and there were no hiccups! I will never forget the moment my husband and I walked into the reception area for the first time. We were blown away. I couldn't believe how beautiful everything was and how all my ideas came together. I know Rosa made sure everything was perfectly placed. That day, we got married at St. Mary's Cathedral and Rosa was able to make sure that we were all set there while our reception at The Texas Federation of Women's Club Mansion was also getting set up. During the reception, she did an amazing job at discreetly coming up to me to notify me what time it was and if I was ready to start the next part of the reception. She was also with us the day before at the rehearsal and made sure that everyone was aware of where they needed to be and what they needed to do. It's hard to believe that my mom and I had originally thought we could do it all without a wedding coordinator. We needed Rosa and she did it! If I went back in time I would definitely choose Rosa again. She is so detailed, very conscious of etiquette and really wants to make it a beautiful day that celebrates your marriage. Fantastic experience: When my daughter—who lives in Austin—asked me to “help” plan her wedding, I panicked. Let’s just say this request was complicated in many ways, the least of which being that I live on the East Coast. The one really, REALLY critical piece of advice I picked up from all the “how-to” resources? Hire a wedding planner/ coordinator! Planning a wedding—regardless of size or budget—is an endless series of decisions and hiring Rosa Gibson of Austin Wedding Planners, turned out to be the BEST decision we made. Her many years working within the Event/Wedding Planning industry made her an obvious choice, but it was Rosa’s gracious and enthusiastic attitude—a mainstay from the first phone contact to the final congratulatory hug at the end of a Perfect Wedding Day—that sold me. AWP’s “Day/month-of-services" provided everything we needed to coordinate all the moving pieces. Rosa was readily available to offer advice or address concerns through frequent contact in the months and days leading up to the wedding. Rosa’s recommendations of vendors were “spot on” given our budget and a handful of very specific requests from the bride and groom (i.e., dietary needs, etc.) In fact, every vendor we interviewed, even a few we found through our own research, commented on their eagerness to work with AWP based on previous experience. The wedding/reception was a small (70 guests), non-traditional, mid-week, mid-afternoon affair attended by a diverse mix of local friends and out-of-town family. Everything went seamless. Everyone had a great time. The bride & groom were ecstatic. And I was completely chill. Rosa promised a beautiful wedding and she delivered!
