Fantastic experience: Small Miami weddings are in my opinion the best!!! myself and my now wife had a 10 day time window to get married and just 6 days before we flew we contacted Melissa and Gen asking if they could organise an elopement wedding a phone call that next day sorted out all the details and a follow up a day later confirmed everything that we asked for was possible. We flew out on a Wednesday went to the courthouse the next morning and Friday afternoon we were on the beach getting married the makeup artist olessya was brilliant and ozzy the photographer was amazing the whole ceremony went superb and I cannot thank The whole team for the amazing work they did and making our day so special. If you want a beach wedding and your looking at Miami area you will not get better service than small Miami weddings

Fantastic experience: We booked our wedding through this company and I will say it was a really wonderful experience. We had a small wedding at Crandon Park, Key Biscayne with about 17 people in total. Small Miami weddings helped us by providing chairs, floral arrangements, refreshments, a photographer, venue choices and permits, an arch (which they even let us decorate ourselves cause we were trying to save $ for scuba adventures). Melissa was our main contact and wedding officiant, she was great and really organized helping us through all the details she didn’t miss a beat. They can also help with marriage paperwork licensing and name change although we opted to tackle those tasks. In the day of the wedding the team showed up on time and setup quickly and efficiently, Gen was eager to help with whatever we needed and the photographer Ozzy was very laidback and cheerful. They truly helped us make this a loving and memorable day and we appreciate their attention to details and great communication and attitudes. We would recommend their services to friends and family. Fantastic experience: When we googled “small miami weddings”, Small Miami Weddings was the first result, and, as it turns out, the best result :) Gen and Melissa have something really special going with SMW, and we hope many more people can enjoy the wedding service they provide. We’re so happy they recommended Crandon Park for us - the warm sand, palm trees, bright blue ocean, we’re still in awe that this was the backdrop to our wedding. Of course a lot more goes into a wedding than the location, and SMW helped make all the other things happen. They created a beautiful physical setup nestled within a quadrant of palm trees, brought on an awesome photographer who captured all the special moments without feeling instructive, and coordinated all the other small details. These include: walking us through the marriage license process, booking the beach location (and a rain backup), sorting out hair, makeup, flowers, etc. They didn’t just execute the wedding well - they sprinkled in little personal details for us. For example, they made sure to include purple flowers in the bouquet when they heard that it’s the bride’s favorite color, and they went out of their way to make sure a curly-haired bride could have her hairy styled exactly as she wanted, even though it’s not the most typical wedding ‘do. Melissa and Gen were organized and professional, making us feel equal parts special and at ease that everything possible was taken care of. We’re so happy that we got to work with SMW for our special day. We’ll never forget that sunny morning on the beach, looking up at palm trees, holding hands, listening the the gentle motion of the waves.

Fantastic experience: Working with the Small Miami Weddings team was an absolute pleasure! Melissa and Gen are extremely organized, flexible and communicative. They made the process so easy for us from the start with their clear checklists, timelines and follow up. They took care of booking the venue, arranging our flowers and photographer, gave clear instructions to get our marriage license, a timeline for the wedding day, references that we could share with our guests for a smooth day-of experience, and made themselves available to answer all of our questions. On the day, I didn't have to worry about a thing because they had everything taken care of! I knew exactly where to be and when, and the ceremony space they recommended at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden was perfect. I actually had a different space in mind, but they showed me reference photos from previous events and Melissa could tell after just a few conversations with me that she could recommend a better spot on the property to capture my vision, and she was absolutely right. Our friends and family all commented on how pleasant the team was on our wedding day, and everyone absolutely loved the ceremony we had. There wasn't a dry eye after Melissa ran through her script (which she gave us ample time to review and make any adjustments - but we really had none!). The team was warm, welcoming and made sure we knew exactly what was going to happen each step of the way. The photographer they brought in, Ozzy, was also incredible. He knew all the best spots at our venue to take photos and was extremely flexible based on lighting, what was in bloom at the time, and based on our preferences. THANK YOU to the SMW team, they were all a dream to work with and I cannot recommend their services enough!

Negative experience: This is absolutely not a good place to plan a wedding. I went to their website and was shocked to see they take up to seven days just to send a basic quote. And they give you an option to schedule a phone call. When I saw the ridiculous seven-day wait, I decided to just go ahead and handle the planning on my own. Because I had moved on, I didn't cancel the phone call on time. When the lady called me, she gave me a horrible attitude and was completely rude just because I hadn't cancelled. I don't know who can do business with people who have this type of nasty attitude, but I’m definitely not the one. Save yourself the headache.

Fantastic experience: We had the most incredible elopement experience with Small Miami Weddings. We got married on Miami Beach, right out the back of our hotel, and everything was absolutely perfect. Melissa, who organised everything and was also our officiant, was amazing from start to finish. She made the entire process so easy and stress-free, and instantly put us both at ease on the day. We felt completely comfortable and relaxed, which made the ceremony even more special and personal. The photographer was also fantastic and captured the moment beautifully. Fantastic experience: In one word: Perfect! Melissa and her team have this down to an art. We were given the paperwork with plenty of lead time and excellent instructions on how to fill it out. They then took care of filing the paperwork, applications, permits etc. to secure the venue (beach) and arranged for seating, photographer and such. Fantastic experience: Got married at Crandon Beach at the beginning of September. Had a super small ceremony with family and loved the way it turned out! Gen and Melissa made everything sooooo easy and were super helpful and responsive! They provided lots of options and we felt like we could have just as easily had a ceremony that incorporated more people and decor and customization. At the end of the day what was important to us was just to have a quick and easy, intimate ceremony where we did not have to fuss with a ton of detail and stress so that we could enjoy the moment with family and could still get some great pictures. I literally googled "Small Miami Weddings" and their site was the first to come up and luckily they offered exactly what we were looking for -- an all-in-one package for us to get eloped! We filled out the form on their page and heard back via email very soon after. We got on the phone with the team within days. They were super kind, answered all of our questions, and made us feel confident they were going to take care of us. We had the simplest elopement one could probably have, but still didn't want to deal with ANY logistics, so it was nice that they handled everything, including location scouting/permits, florals, officiant, photographer, ceremony script, marriage license, etc. They offered additional things like music, altars, videography, and more, which we opted to go without. We just wanted the basics. They also provided an extensive guide with vendors for anything else one might want on their wedding day that they didn't provide directly, such as hair/makeup, transportation, hotels, restaurants, bakeries/dessert shops, etc. Other than that first call to go over our vision and questions, and then another call two weeks before the big day to confirm final details, we just showed up on our wedding day and got married! The service was seamless, the team was so kind and accommodating, there was clear, efficient communication, and the photos were amazing. Highly recommend this team!!! Negative experience: I recently called Small Miami Weddings and had a very disappointing experience. I spoke with someone who was not the owner, and she was rude and dismissive. When I asked about dates, she simply said they were taken, and when I tried to ask about evening options, she seemed uninterested in helping at all. She even got an attitude when I said I wasn’t a fan of the locations they offered. Their own website says they’re willing to help find alternatives, yet when I mentioned I liked the pink Art Deco vibe and that my mother-in-law and I would be coming in October to scout venues, she brushed it off and told me it “might be difficult.” A quick Google search turned up ten places that could easily fit what we want, so clearly the effort just wasn’t there. The whole point of a destination wedding service is to guide people who don’t know the area. If you can’t even be polite or helpful over the phone, it doesn’t inspire confidence in trusting you with such an important event. The idea is great, but the customer service I experienced was unprofessional and made me look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: O. M. G. This team is on it! Melissa and Gen created the most perfect, beautiful dream wedding for us in less than a month! They are beyond organized and communicate exactly as an excited couple needs! The prep work was perfect and kept this type A bride relaxed and excited, not anxious! Their recommendations for restaurants and a cake bakery were ON POINT! The Glam Team artists who came and did hair and bridal makeup were phenominal! I have never felt so beautiful. The ceremony was incredible and went so smoothly! My flowers were the most beautiful bouquet! I chose the style, but the arrangement and flower selection was something I fell in love with the second I saw it. Our photographer, Ozzie was so, so great! He was calm and knew exactly where the best shots were, how to handle the sun and breeze, and keep it magical! Our whole experience was 5 Stars. Ill forever be grateful.

Fantastic experience: We hired them for a beach elopement in March and it was an incredibly lovely experience. Melissa and Ozzy were both warm and friendly (with a good sense of humor!), which really made the whole experience enjoyable. While the memories we formed were the most important part of the evening, the photos we received were absolutely stunning. I appreciate that we received a good mix of both posed and candid shots, and love having the photos of my husband and I relaxing and laughing together to look back on. Fantastic experience: Our morning April 2025 micro-wedding on Crandon Beach planned through Small Miami Weddings was more beautiful than we could have imagined. Melissa, Gen, and Ozzy were great to work with and really simplified the process for us. Communication during the planning stage was excellent. We were especially happy with the gorgeous florals, ceremony, and photographs. We were able to customize our package by adding hair and makeup, florals, music, a backup rain location, and an hour of extra photography at Vizcaya gardens. We found it all very reasonable and are happy we chose Small Miami Weddings. Fantastic experience: We were coming over from the UK to get married in Miami so needed a company that could guide us through making that happen. We were fortunate enough to come over to Miami the year prior to the wedding to meet with SMW's and go and view our location options. They certainly delivered on providing us with the wedding we envisioned. They were really lovely and responsive throughout the whole process and we also have some lovely photos of a perfect day.

Fantastic experience: did not have to do a thing.. They did it all, seamlessly! Flowers amazing, decorations perfect, great officiant . cannot recceomend enough.

Negative experience: We were so excited when we found Small Miami Weddings — everything looked perfect. But unfortunately, things started falling apart on our actual wedding day. When the groom and guests arrived, nothing was set up. Not even the photographer had arrived yet. My wife's bouquet was left on the ground the whole time — not placed on a table or handled with care — and the flowers, including the arch and the wreath we paid an extra $1100 for, were already wilted. We also paid $450 for a violinist, who ended up playing only four songs before leaving due to a bit of wind and a few drops of rain. I can back all of this up with photos. Everyone from Small Miami Weddings was extremely rude throughout the experience. When it came time to receive the pictures, things only got worse. Only my husband was sent the photos — apparently because he was the one who signed the contract. According to them, it wasn’t "normal" to send the pictures to me as his wife, which makes no sense at all. The photos themselves were a disaster. They were heavily and dramatically edited with overly warm tones, full of bushes and seaweed — no real sense of a beach wedding. Many of the preview images had the company’s logo placed right on our faces, making it impossible to tell whether we even liked the photos. To make matters worse, you can only download the photos that are part of the package you originally agreed to — and if you want any of the other photos, you’re charged $10 per image. I didn’t receive any pictures that include just me and my parents because they said there weren’t any. They also mentioned that they would only speak with my husband, as he was the one who made the agreement with them. Additionally, they complained that I had sent them an email regarding the situation. Every time we raise a concern, their response is always, “as per the agreement.” However, having their logo placed across our faces before downloading the photos was never mentioned in the agreement. In this case, we’re going to get a lawyer involved.

Fantastic experience: Small Miami Weddings was an absolute pleasure to work with. They made our wedding ceremony at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden a dream come true. SMW made most of the arrangements for us and did all the hard work. The flowers were beautiful & we love our photos. They even had a violinist for the ceremony. Fantastic experience: Everything was amazing! Melissa and Jen went above and beyond for my husband and I. They coordinated everything very well. They delayed everything for my family and started later than it was supposed to be. They were very patient with me and my family with the pictures. Everyone was coming up and wanting to take picture’s and they truly were very patient. I appreciate everything they did. After the ceremony they helped us get into the cart to get to every spot needed for our photos. They thought about all the pose’s and all the best spots they could find. They handled everything from A-to-Z On the first phone call, they said all they needed to worry about was getting my dress and they were correct Beautiful ceremony. I did Hair make up with them and was super happy with the young girl who was very professional and everything came out perfectly. I did video of photography with them two great guys. Fantastic experience: Small Miami Weddings gave us our dream.. Our wedding was exactly as we envisioned. We were going for an elopement but decided it would be best if our parents were in attendance. We got married on 8/23/24 at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in the tea house. The venue is breathtaking. Everyone tells us our pictures look like we were in Europe! Melissa (coordinator & officiant) did such an amazing job with our ceremony script. She was the one to greet me on arrival and made me feel so comfortable and really helped calm my nerves. We did the 1st look which was amazing, then went straight to pictures. Ozzy captured 215+ of the most beautiful moments and worked so well with the videographer Joe Pineiro. Our pictures were edited by Gen and released to us in 2 week and Small Miami Weddings handled our license, we did the initial part via Zoom with St. Lucie County and it was cheap and super easy. The boutique and boutonniere were beautiful and fit our look and style perfectly. It's like they knew us before meeting us. We highly recommend Small Miami Weddings to anyone who would like a stress/worry free experience.

Negative experience: We had a wedding ceremony with 20 guests in the gardens of Crandon Park. Initially when we inquired about the services and prices I spoke with Gen. She told me that she is the photographer and Melissa is the officiant. Our ceremony was beautifully written and performed by Melissa who also replied to all our questions after she provided us with so much detailed information on marriage license, venues, etc. Our contract also included 165 professional photos. We were looking forward to seeing countless of beautiful photos to cherish and share with our family and friends. Although Ozzy captured some great photos; there are some while everyone was gathered around us in which he cut off half of the persons alongside us. Very unprofessional to say the least! What truly was the most disappointing factor was our photographs. They were expensive and are the most important part of our wedding day. They are the only thing that lasts beyond our wedding day besides our love for each other. Wedding day photos are part of our story, something we will share with future friends and family when we are 80 years old. Unfortunately, we were not happy with the results. More than 30% of the photos are useless, many are repetitive with repetitive poses in different backgrounds. Many were not timed well, and unflattering. Several with shadows from the sun on our faces (wedding couple). Ozzy was looking through the camera lens and didn’t see that?!! I feel we were misled by Gen telling me that she was going to be the photographer. Perhaps she would have captured more beautiful photos than Ozzy, but sadly we will never know. Very disappointing!!! 032924

Fantastic experience: I found Small Miami weddings and read the reviews. I contacted them and planned my wedding on 4/25/24. They were excellent with contacting me going over request etc and it was a magical day in my life. Melissa and Gen did an excellent job keeping us informed and finding the perfect location on Crandon Beach. I wish that time could stand still as it was a dream come true for a beach wedding with a small group of people. I forgot the photographers name (my bad) but he really captured many special moments and did an excellent job! Also hairdresser was fantastic, I would definitely recommend her hair and makeup. Held up all night!!

Fantastic experience: TLDR: You can trust this company to be professional and quickly respond to any and all questions you may have before and on your big day. We live in Maryland, but thanks to Small Miami Weddings, we were able to plan an elopement within a 6 week timeframe in Crandon Park. Both Gen and Melissa were extremely helpful and made themselves available to us when we had questions. We definitely asked some of the same questions over and over again, and asked them to send us information that they had already sent us, but they dealt with our frazzled energy with patience. Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about how much I loved our wedding. Everything was amazing, from the vows, to the flowers and photography. Small Miami Weddings played a crucial role in making our wedding an unforgettable experience. When the forecast had a probability of 98% rain and thunderstorms, we were on pins and needles. They were willing to change the time of our ceremony to accommodate nature. Luckily the weather cleared up by the afternoon and our wedding couldn't have been better. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Small Miami Weddings! We got married on Mid-beach in Miami. The location was perfect! Public beach, but not too busy. We were able to get all the photos without any bystanders. Melissa and Gen made the ceremony so easy for us. The florals, decor, and set up were beautiful. We loved being able to just show up and not have to worry about different vendors/clean up. The photos also turned out amazing! Ozzie was our photographer and his patience and direction were so helpful. We paid extra for the chuppah, extra florals ( tropical theme), and music playlist. It was all totally worth it. Fantastic experience: We're a year late writing this but we just wanna say that SMW is an AMAZING company. You're definitely IN GOOD HANDS with Melissa, Gen, and their whole team. We live in Canada and it's always challenging to not really be able to physically BE there at your destination venue to see if everything is in order, but SMW made our intimate beach wedding a smooth, drama-free zone. We actually booked to have our wedding in 2020 buttt we all know what happened that year. -_- SMW was kind enough to post-pone it for another year and long story short, things were still horrible in Toronto & in the other cities our international guests were from, so we had to move our wedding to the summer of 2022. (Thanks again, Melissa and Gen for allowing us to do that! You two are just fantastic! <3) In the end, our friends were really impressed with how my husband and I planned for our no-fuss, intimate, Floridian beach wedding (we were luckily not as stressed as other couples; we did the small beach ceremony -> reception: Brazilian rodizio -> and then VIP Miami party bus), and we owe a big chunk of our peace of mind to Small Miami Weddings for covering ceremony venue, photography, music, decor, and of course, actually marrying us. Fantastic experience: In the midst of trying to plan a large south Florida wedding, my husband and I had some life events that caused us to want to change our wedding plans to ease the stress of having a large gathering. While looking and scouring the internet to find a small wedding planner, I was pleasantly surprised with how easy Small Miami Weddings made small wedding planning seem. From the moment I added them on instagram and saw the images and videos of the elopements and weddings that they curate, I knew they were the best company for us to use for our ceremony. Gen & Melissa work really hard to create your vision and bring it to a reality. We used Small Miami Weddings for our planning, decor, officiant services, and music. The team was very accommodating and professional. We had a few changes with our wedding in adding another musician to accommodate some of our song choices, and they made it happen. We also chose to have our wedding at a suite in a hotel in Miami, and the team worked to make the event go seamless. There were a few hiccups but our guests didn’t know, however, looking back on our wedding a month after planning and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. A month later, we still have friends and family members telling us how beautiful and memorable it was. I attached some photos of the decor and our wedding taken by our hired photographer the details of the decor were stunning. Additionally, I added a photo that Small Miami Weddings took during our ceremony. While watching them setup, the staff even touched up areas on the arch to make sure the backdrop was picture perfect. The pictures don’t do the justice to the detail to decor and layout that this team does for the weddings that they help plan. If you read this far, I highly recommend Small Miami Weddings, the team was incredible to work with.

Negative experience: small miami weddings scammed me and my wife out of our deposit money we where supposed to get married in july of 2020 who knew covid was going to close everything in my home state i was not able to travel down to miami and was told that they cant refund so they pretty much stole our money and did nothing to help us the referred us to there legal team stay away from these crooks its now 2022 almost 2023 and have not heard anything from these people they stole our hard worked money they knew we where locked down. They did not care there agreement never stated anything about a global pandemic its crazy they took my money and i have nothing to show for it i feel robbed

Fantastic experience: We have always wanted to get married on the beach. We decided we would look into getting married in Florida before we took a cruise. We are from California and did a Google search to see if we could plan a laid back, intimate wedding on the beach. When viewing their portfolio it was enjoyable to have the various options from different venues, professional floral arrangements, hairstyles, and makeup to help put together our dream wedding. Their attentiveness when reviewing our selections and telling our story within the script is where the dream became reality as everything was meticulously crafted. Fantastic experience: Small Miami Weddings made getting married a breeze! You can tell they've been doing this for a long time. Everything was perfect, timely, and detail oriented. I felt like they understood what we were wanting out of our wedding and our story. The ceremony script, which they reviewed with us, was fantastic, it really was a great script that encompassed our relationship. The location was peaceful and beautiful, Crandon Gardens. The detail behind my flower selection was stunning, and Gen even wore my favorite color top for our ceremony without me even asking. The hair and makeup was very professional and clean. Kate was my hair and makeup stylist, she arrive perfectly on time, asked what look I was looking for and delivered. She was so sweet, made the experience for me very comfortable, as I usually do not wear makeup. I wanted a natural look and she hit it right on the mark. And Aussie, our photographer was so nice, funny, and very good at what he does. He also made the experience of being photographed very easy and comfortable. Positive experience: We really recommend Small Miami Weddings, they are very professional, the day of the event the photographer and Esther were just perfect, overall everything was beautiful. There are a few things to improve for example the communication sometimes was challenging also the flower pins given to us were in rough shape, even so everything turned out better than expected.
