Experiencia fantástica: It's been a couple of months since my wedding, and my husband and I still nod in aggressive agreement that hiring Wedicity (Tionna) was the best investment we made for our wedding. And that honestly says a lot because during the wedding planning process, Wedicity truly presents you with the best vendors in the city for florals, live jazz, stationery, etc. - specifically tailored to your interests. Tionna is the type of planner who thinks of every single detail (ones that you would also never think of), anticipates any hiccups, and makes absolutey sure that your wedding will go as perfectly as it could ever go. Trust me, with Tionna and her team, wedding planning will not be stressful, she will give you a peace of mind, and you can spend more time being cute with your fiance and fully enjoy your engagement. P.S. When my veil fell down while walking down the aisle (granted it was a retractable roof and quite windy that day) and the wedding party was already waiting at the end of the aisle, Tionna took a milisecond to grab my veil, place it perfectly on my high ponytail, and fluff my train. Looking through my wedding album, there's not a single photo of me without my veil. Hope this speaks to the expertise and swiftness of this team.

Experiencia fantástica: My biggest piece of advice to any couple planning a wedding is to hire a wedding planner and, more specifically, hire Kristina at Wedicity!! Kristina is everything you could want in a planner and more. She’s incredibly friendly, insanely detail-oriented, so calming, and super helpful when it comes to brainstorming and making decisions. I could go on and on! Even though we chose the 3-month coordination package, Kristina started helping us a little earlier (at no extra charge!) just to ensure we felt confident and organized before she took a short break for her own wedding. It was not necessary at all but spoke volumes about how much she truly cared that we felt prepared ahead of our big day! As our wedding day got closer and coordination with our vendors ramped up, Kristina jumped in and took all of it off our plate. First, Giovanna is a true gem - so kind, organized, detail-oriented, and has an amazing eye. Anya also joined Giovanna on the day of and was a fabulous add. The team uses AislePlanner as their tool, which just made everything so easy to coordinate and track, from to-do checklists, to seating charts, to vendor payments- much better than an endless trail of emails and attachments. Giovanna poured her heart into making our day special and stress free - the timeline she created built in buffer time and all the little moments perfectly, so we always had enough time. They also delivered all of our decor perfectly packaged at the end of the evening. Words won't be enough to express our gratitude!

She was very organized. Communication was easy and reliable. I can truly say there were zero glitches on the day of our wedding thanks to Kristina and her team. Her team set up all of our decorations, collected everything at the end of the night, and returned everything safely and neatly into our house that night while we stayed at the hotel. I had so many guests mention how smoothly the wedding and reception went and actually inquired at the wedding who we used for our planner because it was so perfectly executed. When we got to our hotel room after the ceremony my veil was safe and sound (I thought I left it), and rose pedals were placed all over the room. She went above and beyond from a design perspective - she really has such an eye for that! And not only did she help with the wedding, but she also helped my mom and grandmother with the bridal shower which was absolutely stunning. Everyone kept saying how surprisingly calm I was the day of the wedding - and it was all thanks to Giovanna and the Wedicity team! Everything went perfectly - and if there was a problem I had no idea! Their ability to flawlessly execute on the event and stay to a strict timeline was beyond impressive. Experiencia fantástica: The most important decision you’ll make which will influence how planning and the wedding day go is your wedding planner. The best decision you’ll make is hiring the Wedicity team! This is the most difficult but yet easiest review I’ve ever written before. Difficult because it means I will officially no longer be working with the best wedding planner EVER! So easy because our wedding would not have happened EXACTLY how I pictured it without Giovanna Danno. When I first started looking for wedding planners, I knew we wanted to partner with a company that prioritized experience, details, communication and for someone who plans events for work & in my personal life - they fired on all cylinders! I had researched for weeks and nailed the list down from 15-10 to 5 wedding planners I wanted to meet with. Wedicity made the shortlist. At our first meeting, the owner Tionna was so friendly, detailed, enthusiastic but most importantly PASSIONATE. I was overjoyed and excited at the possibility to work with them. Tionna clearly knows what she’s doing when it comes to hiring an amazing team. Even though I primary worked with Giovanna, every team member I encountered the day of was wonderful & so friendly - they were ON POINT. The entire day went off without a hitch and if there was one, I certainly didn’t know about it. I kept getting comments about how I looked so calm and it was because of them. The entire process working with Giovanna was incredible. She was patient, kind, accommodating, thoughtful, incredibly detailed and organized - and really helped me put all the pieces to the puzzle together. Her professionalism was unmatched as I probably had over 15 vendors she had to balance working with on that day and it was PERFECTION. Giovanna is a rockstar and we are grateful for all of her recommendations and grace, while navigating all that was thrown her way. I’m still hearing three weeks later how this was the best and most organized wedding anyone has attended. To summarize, I would absolutely hire Wedicity again I only hope I get to work with them again on our future vow renewals because of how seamless and wonderful our wedding was. 1,000/10!

Experiencia fantástica: I am not sure where to even begin with Tionna and Oviri at Wedicity. I guess i'll start by saying, I am the type of person who thought I could likely plan a wedding on my own, but figured it was worth while to have someone assist in the last 90 days. My wife, Lyndsey and I, interviewed a few people but immediately realized that Tionna and Oviri not only seemed like they cared immensely about making the wedding of our dreams come true, but they instantly had some great ideas for us. Tionna was also so responsive to our initial inquiries (some others were not). Fast forward to actually working with them. Oviri and Tionna were not only responsive, attentive, but were also so caring throughout the process. We threw a handful of curveballs their way and they never seemed annoyed with us. They simply just found a solution every time we needed one and they did so quickly and with care. Their vendors that they recommended were great and they got us to the wedding feeling comfortable and excited for the day. The day of, our videographer (not picked by them but picked by us) was a no call no show. Obviously this was something that would cause the average wedding couple stress. They did not let it become a stressful part of the day for us. Instead, they quickly scrambled and with one hours notice they found us a replacement videographer who was amazing. From the moment they started working with us until the day after the wedding they were the perfect wedding planners. I do not think, actually I know that we could not have pulled off the wedding of our dreams without them. In a city like Chicago, there are a lot of options when it comes to vendors, venues, etc. The last thing we wanted was to be overwhelmed and made decisions based on FOMO, rather than what we wanted. We were referred to Wedicity by a friend an immediately knew they were the right choice. On the initial meeting, Tionna took the time to get to know us as a couple; our story, likes/dislikes and vision. She put together a thoughtful proposal that made us feel like she understood who we were and what we wanted. It didn’t feel generic or cookie cutter template. We began then working with Kristina Flens, who was incredible. Over the last two year, Kristina handled everything from vendor discovery, design proposals, contract review, vendor communication, day-off management/coordination etc. We were always presented with multiple vendor choices and felt they matched what we were looking for. We never felt pressured or swayed to make a decision that wasn’t what we wanted. All the vendors we worked with were amazing and that’s thanks to Kristina. She was always there when we needed her and had amazing communication throughout the process. In general, I am an anxious person, however Kristina kept me calm and reassured throughout the entire planning process, and especially on wedding day. Kristina’s attention to detail is impeccable. She guided us through the entire process with professionalism and transparency. We loved building a connection and friendship with Kristina, during the time working together. As the wedding day came closer the Wedicity team was on top of everything! All the coordination was handle and it felt like we just had to show up. Even at the end of the night, all of our things were back in our hotel room waiting for us. We cannot thank Kristina and Wedicity enough. They are top-tier in everything that they do.

Experiencia fantástica: It is hard to know where to exactly begin. If you’re on the fence and don’t know if you really need a wedding planner, the answer is yes. Wedding planning can be stressful, but the Wedicity team is the best! Our planners, Tionna and Oviri made the process fun and offered great suggestions throughout the planning process. They helped us understand what would make sense to have at our wedding, where to cut costs and were we should splurge. Throughout the process we had multiple calls with Tionna and Oviri who patiently worked with us to create and revise the perfect timeline for our wedding day. If your budget allows, I highly recommend the details & designs package, but no matter what package you go with, you will be taken care of. Tionna and Oviri go above and beyond. For us to best illustrate this we would like to detail the below out. We had planned for an outdoor wedding ceremony and about 4 days out we started to become concerned about the rain. Tionna and Oviri worked with us to form a rain back up plan. Sure enough, it rained 2 hours before our ceremony start time (let it be known we had already had to make the rain call at 9am), but the Wedicity team managed to pull off an outdoor ceremony for us! They worked behind the scenes to make sure every tiny detail for our reception and ceremony was perfect while we were taking photos at our first look. Additionally, the Friday before our wedding was the rehearsal. In all the stress and commotion of getting ready for the rehearsal it became apparent right before I was to walk down the aisle for the rehearsal, I realized I had forgotten my bouquet. As this bouquet was made by my maid of honor with the bows from my bridal shower it meant a lot to have it for this moment. I quickly turned to Oviri and in shock and horror I was like “I forgot the bouquet”. She looked at me and I was like “can I go run for it” and she was like “no, I got it”. This girl RAN all the way back to my room and back for this bouquet (multiple floors). Needless to say, she went above and beyond. It's the smartest wedding decision you will make. Trust me!! We got married at a hotel downtown with about 160 guests. I don't know what I would have done without Giovanna and the Wedicity team. The first thing we did as soon as we got engaged was hire them! We purchased the "90 Days of Details" package, but we had a multi-year engagement. Even though we bought the 90-days package, they were super helpful from the get-go, not just within 90 days. Giovanna went above and beyond from the outset to offer her advice, expertise, and recommendations throughout the whole planning process. Also, their Aisleplanner software was insanely instrumental in allowing me to effectively communicate with their team, keep my vendor invoices and contracts organized, and keep our guest list and contact information updated. I definitely didn't even take full advantage every tool that was available to me in the software and still found it super helpful. There is NO way I could have gotten through our wedding planning process without Giovanna! It was hands down the best money I spent on our wedding. We did not hire a florist and had a ton of handmade decorations. The Wedicity team really came through for us and allowed me to hire a few extra "day-of" hands from their team to handle set-up/break-down. During the final 2 weeks and the day of, Giovanna was instrumental in making sure our vendors were taken care of and that everything was communicated perfectly with guests and vendors when it came to our timeline. After the first call with Kristina, our “90 Days Out” package had already paid for itself. Kristina is hyper-organized, conscientious, patient, flexible, kind and always had our best interest in mind. She came prepared to each conversation with questions, follow-ups, and tasks that kept us organized and on our toes. She was always quick to respond via email and text and was quick to answer every one of our questions. Wedicity uses an incredibly comprehensive planning site with every possible to-do you can think of (which there were many we never considered). Kristina was an expert at prioritizing items that were important to us and ensuring every personal touch would be perfect the day of. When asked for her opinion, Kristina always gave her honest and professional one and was a tremendous guide every step of the way. She took over all our communication with our vendors and immediately streamlined the entire planning process. We had a confusing and challenging relationship with one of our vendors that Kristina took care of without hesitation. From handling last minute guest cancellations to a car accident that impacted our transportation to the ceremony, there was never a time we felt stressed, concerned, or overwhelmed. Our wedding day could not have been more seamless because they were behind it. We did the 90 Days of Detail plan with them, and from the get-go they quickly familiarize themselves with your vendors, your vision, and the tiniest of details. Amongst the madness that is the wedding industry, they never stuttered, looked flustered, or gave us any impression that things were crazy (which, they were because myself and my family changed our minds every 5 seconds!!). They took every new bit of news with grace and a smile. Not to mention, they are just lovely people all around. When I caught glimpses of them at the ceremony rehearsal or even before the reception started, I truly felt instantly calm knowing they had everything under control! After the reception was over, I couldn't find my wedding shoes (took them off before the dance floor) the card box, my flowers, all these things that I just kind of thought (hoped) we'd find in the morning. Wedicity grabbed everything and put it in my hotel room at some point in the night. Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I worked with Wedicity and Tionna leveraging their Full Service Wedding Services, which means we started working with her starting a whole 11 months before our wedding. Overall, this was unequivocally the best decision we made throughout the entire process of planning our day. While we simply cannot rave about Tionna enough (her flawless professionalism, prompt communication, consistency in service, willingness to help for any issue no matter how big or small....) there are a few items she particularly excelled at and surpassed our wildest expectations: - Vendor Referrals -- we chose a venue where we had to essentially hire everything a-la-carte; Tionna had outstanding vendor recommendations, from caterer to floral to cake baker to DJ/Band that precisely fit our style and helped us stay within budget. - Decor and Design Assistance -- she is outstanding at understanding the style and taste of a couple, as the decor input she gave us across the board from floral to linen selections to even feedback/direction on all our stationary and printed materials was exactly what we were thinking but couldn't quite articulate as eloquently and direct as she could. - Communication & "calming of the nerves" -- her calm tonality and graceful way she handles anything thrown her way are unworldly. She approaches things briskly and understands urgency but handles it with the calmness of a scented candle. There came a point my mother started reaching out to her directly, in addition to my anxiety as we approached the date, and she consistently & selflessly gave us confidence and assurance during the process. This personally was one of the most important things to me throughout the year. - Dedication - Tionna and the Wed-icity team stayed throughout the entire night of our wedding, until the very end, including taking care of all reception and personal items & lovingly/securely placing everything in our hotel room. Her philosophy is that NO ONE should work on wedding day---except her team! This was so incredibly important to myself, my family and bridal party. - Cultural understanding - My wedding was a combo Italian/Lebanese backgrounds coming together, needing to have a Catholic ceremony but not able to have it in a church. Tionna helped immensely with the "marriage" of our traditions and backgrounds in regards to ceremony and reception detail, including understanding the importance of finding a cookie baker that could make cookies from "around the world" suiting everyone's tastes. What stood out to us about Tionna even when we first spoke with her was her humble approach to servicing the couple--- being such an outstanding listener, in tune with everything we described and always helpful/additive vs. ever making us feel like we were making 'wrong' decisions. Her light hearted humor made everything (even stressful decisions) continue to feel 'light,' while still giving us the sense of how seriously she takes the work. This all punctuated the experience my husband and I had throughout the last year and truly made our "wedding" last so far beyond one day---in the best way possible. We will forever have memories of how seamless (and FUN) the process of working with Tionna was. If it isn't clear already, we couldn't recommend her more.

From my first meeting with her, I could see her experience and her strive for excellence. She took initiative to collaborate to with my vendors and had an online portal that kept it all organized. There were so many little details that they just knew how to take care of. The communication - AMAZING WediCity let me experience my own wedding without stressing or thinking about logistics. Everything was just perfectly taken care of in the background. I felt like a queen being gently ushered from one amazing part of my wedding to another. I don't know how I could have planned a wedding and loved it so much without Wedicity's help. Also need to mention how much Tionna rocks the non-traditional ceremony format! We had inexperienced officiant and she walked them through everything. They felt so comfortable by the time of the ceremony. She knew about all the little movements that are necessary to make it look cohesive (and get good pics). We even got the more traditional guests raving about our ceremony :D

One thing that set Tionna apart from other wedding coordinators that I spoke to was the fact that we would get started working together right away - this was a huge benefit that not many were offering in their day of coordinating packages. Beyond that, we also had a great first conversation during our initial phone call. I’m sure she could tell I was a bit frazzled, stressed, and anxious trying to pull together all of the little details but she was calm and handled me with ease. We thought we were hiring a “day of coordinator” but in reality we got so much more. Our first In person meeting was at our final vendor walk through, this was the point in which my husband and I both left the meeting so happy with our decision to work with Tionna. She Jumped right in as if she had been planning our wedding from the beginning! She had an incredibly positive attitude and advocated for us when we were met with hesitancy when wanting to get creative with our venue floor plan and floral design. She coordinated our rehearsal dinner, our wedding day and ceremony timeline, worked with our officiant to finalize the ceremony script, and had everything printed out and organized for everyone. Any last minute changes I made did not phase her one bit. I cannot stress enough how good it felt to not have to worry about making sure everything was going according to plan on our wedding day. All we had to do was show up and get married. I felt so calm having someone to look to for guidance and I felt even better knowing that everyone else had a resource that wasn’t me! Our wedding day was SEAMLESS! If anything went wrong I didn’t know, and still don’t know!! Her timing was impeccable - she worked with our DJ to que dances, food service, cake cutting, etc. at the perfect time. She made sure we were fed (she brought us our food herself!!! What?!), had plenty to drink, and checked on us frequently. I came down with a headache mid way through the reception and she materialized with medicine out of nowhere. I also need to highlight that fact that her attention to detail is insane! She provided multiple floor plan ideas - all I had to do was pick one and provide the seating chart, easy enough! She provided decor/wedding related items that I didn’t even think about and somehow fit perfect with our venue and theme. At some point in the night she slipped away to our hotel room and set up all of our gifts, my bouquet, pictures, and a few other small treats. I have no idea how she found the time to do that but it was the best surprise to walk into after a long day. Here we are a year later and my husband and I agree that while there are a few things we would have done differently, hiring Tionna is not one of them!!

We met with her and immediately hit it off (helps that she's from OH just like husband). Tionna's fees were slightly higher than we were looking to spend so we met with two other planners. After all our meetings we decided that Tionna's professionalism and experience were worth the expense. Even though we only hired her for Day-of planning, she began working with us 5 months out. She was always available via email, in addition to the 2-3 in person meetings we had with her. Some of our vendors had worked with Tionna in the past and they had only good things to say about her, like that she was very organized and low-drama. Two qualities which are so important for your planner to have. Her impeccable planning made it so that by the time our wedding day arrived, we didn't have to worry about anything. Honestly, the day was perfect. If anything went wrong, we had no idea. Tionna and her team completely transformed our reception space. To this day I'm not sure what type of magic she was able to pull off, but our reception looked AMAZING. Our wedding was on a smaller scale and a smaller budget than some of the weddings profiled on Wedicity's website. And yet, we never felt like less of a priority to Tionna. She gave us the same attention to detail and support as I'm sure she gives all her couples. If we ever have to plan a large event in the future, we will without a doubt reach out to Tionna & Wedicity. She helped make our dream wedding a reality. HIRE HER NOW!!!

Experiencia fantástica: It might be actually impossible that Tionna Van Gundy is a human. A wizard? Sure. An angel? Absolutely. The modern day wedding lord and savior? No doubt. A regular human? Not possible. 1. Tionna accompanied us to our dinner tasting and florist meeting which you may not think is worth bringing your wedding planner to, but please understand how helpful it was. For the tasting, she came prepared with an organized list of preferences, the start of the timeline for our day, and helped us manage conversations with a passionate yet pushy sales associate to ensure that we got what we wanted. 2. Tionna kept us motivated, organized and focused with separated, clear and concise checklists to ensure we were taking care of the right things in the right order. The software that comes with her services is so easy to use, so helpful and became our lifeline throughout the planning process. 3. Tionna offered genuine opinions when asked, helpful advice when needed and clear guidance throughout. It’s crystal clear how much she cares about her clients and how much experience she has all over this industry to help you truly decide on what is best for you and your partner. 4. Tionna set up meetings with us at times that were convenient for us, giving us her full time, attention and listening ear, and never made us feel rushed, silly or otherwise. She was even so understanding and kind to us after we mistakenly missed one of our final meetings. 5. Tionna has a wealth of knowledge across all the faiths, cultures, rituals and traditions and helped us combine a 3-faith circumstance into the most amazing ceremony. The undertaking of writing our own ceremony had us lost, confused and overwhelmed and we would have quickly abandoned the idea had it not been for Tionna. 6. I literally don’t think we had anything go more than 24 hours before it was answered in full, often times with documents or further advice to ensure we were well informed and clear in our decision. 7. Tionna took care of all the necessary paperwork, contracts, insurance, etc. etc. etc. and ensured we had everything submitted on time, signed on the dotted line and took care of keeping all the important paperwork organized. We could have probably managed this on our own, but to have it neatly organized and cared for was such a nice relief. 8. Tionna was generous with the physical materials she already has, which saved us a bunch of money. It was so kind of her to allow us to borrow things she had from other events. 9. The night before, Tionna ran a perfectly timed rehearsal which helped our entire wedding party feel better, more confident, and was a wild relief for not just my groom and I, but our parents as well. She reminded us of our places, timing, when to stop, when to start, where to turn, how to smile, what to hold, how to be, etc. etc. etc. I genuinely don’t know how we would’ve gotten through the rehearsal without her. 10. The day of. I have absolutely no words. Her and her two assistants, Anesha and Ashley, arrived on scene and literally jumped into action, managing everything from where flowers and dresses were to getting the maintenance staff to cool off the getting ready room. One of them (I have no idea who) was kind enough to go back to our hotel to grab the garter I forgot in my room. They were literally like ninjas, managing the show from the behind the scenes while also making things magically appear, disappear, and happen from the moment they arrived until past the moment they were gone. Tionna went further above and beyond the call of duty in advocating for us with the venue and our venue contact when there were several issues with dinner that should never have been an issue. Needless to say, my parents, nor the groom, nor his parents nor I had any idea any of it happened, because Tionna and her team are that good. Please do not consider planning or executing a wedding without Tionna and Wedicity. We are eternally and beyond grateful for their time, attention to detail, skill and genuine love for what they do that gave us the memories of a lifetime.
