She kept us on track without ever making us feel behind, which is no small feat given our timeline. Somehow, despite the compressed schedule, we still felt confident and composed. She had every moment accounted for down to the minute, every vendor coordinated and in place, and every potential gap quietly closed before we ever noticed it. She moved through it all with a calm and focus that was genuinely contagious. Her composure became our composure. Most importantly, she made sure we were present and enjoying our day rather than managing it. Working with Stephanie was an absolute joy, and we would recommend her to anyone and everyone without hesitation.

From our very first call with Kate, we knew we were in great hands. One of the biggest reasons we chose Cygnet was because she had answers to every question we threw her way and she made it clear that her team would take the lead on the day itself so we could truly enjoy our wedding. It was truly a huge weight off our shoulders! Since we don’t live in Chicago, we also really appreciated how flexible and accommodating they were in helping us coordinate and schedule our final walkthrough. Our coordinator, Stephanie, was absolutely phenomenal! When we look back on our wedding day, we constantly find ourselves asking, “what would we have done without her?” She’s incredibly detail-oriented, always thinking ten steps ahead, and has a calming presence that kept us grounded throughout the day. Experiencia fantástica: We worked with Kate from Cygnet Events for our wedding this past fall, and she was incredible from start to finish. Our wedding wasn’t a simple setup either: it was a tented backyard wedding for ~180 people in a fairly remote area, which meant a lot more vendor coordination than a typical pre-packaged venue. Kate handled all of that seamlessly and made everything feel easy. She connected us with amazing vendors who were not only talented but genuinely good people, and she handled all the moving parts behind the scenes so we never felt stressed or overwhelmed. She was thoughtful, flexible, and patient with all of our ideas (and a few quirky requests such as our dog pulling a wagon down the aisle). She consistently went above and beyond by traveling repeatedly, hopping on calls whenever needed, and keeping everything on track while also always being conscious of our budget and advocating + negotiating on our behalf. On the actual wedding day, she solved problems quietly, anticipated things before we even thought of them, and made our families feel at ease. The venue looked even better than we could have imagined, while still honoring the land and space that is so meaningful to both of us. The timeline also flowed seamlessly despite 1 or 2 surprises, and we were free to just be present for the whole day, which is ultimately the greatest gift a planner can give. We’re so grateful for the care, thought, and heart she put into the entire process. Working with Kate was hands-down the best decision we made in the planning process. If you’re looking for someone who’s equal parts professional, calm, creative, and genuinely fun to work with, we can’t recommend her enough.

Ever since my initial interaction with them, just gathering information about my event, they were extremely kind and attentive to detail. Several coordinators work for Cygnet, but I can officially say I would trust any of them with any wedding, event, etc. all over again. I was given Stephanie Gibbs for coordination 8 weeks prior to my wedding. She absolutely blew me away right from the start! She can resolve any crisis in a heartbeat. Any concern that came up in the weeks leading up to our wedding, Kate had already thoughtfully dealt with by gathering options and working with our vendors to come to a solution. As someone with little-to-no eye for design, Kate was so helpful at adding some special Kate sparkle everywhere from thoughtfully organizing our guestbook table with small stacks of Washi tape to helping us execute on a last-minute idea for our grand entrance. She brought a wealth of knowledge, experience and professionalism to make our day go smoother than we could have imagined. On the day of, Kate seemed to be everywhere at once, helping everyone with everything. Truly don’t know how she did it! And it didn’t go unnoticed – the following day our parents could not stop gushing about how smooth everything went and how helpful Kate was all day. Experiencia fantástica: While we can’t necessarily compare Kate and the Cygnet team to other vendors in the planning space, I’d find it nearly impossible to believe there’s anyone else out there that does this better. We worked with Kate on a “full plan” basis and can’t say enough about how great she was to work with and how amazing the final product was. Kate was responsive, kind, thoughtful, articulate, and an overall amazing partner to work with. She guided us through every major decision and provided just the right level of guidance to give us space to make decisions but with a level of confidence that we were making the right ones. She was always on top of things, staying in touch with us on a regular cadence when things were slow and then providing us a detailed timeline of everything to do once we got closer to the big day. The months leading up to the wedding day felt easy and stress-free thanks to Kate. On the day of the wedding, she handled everything so well that we had nothing to worry about, and everyone on-site with us was shocked at how “chill” the hours leading up to the ceremony were. As far as the day itself, everything came together perfectly across all our vendors: design, catering, floral, photography, rentals, DJ, etc. all thanks to Kate! She handled all communication with vendors during both planning and day of, so we were able to feel like guests at our own wedding instead of checking our phones and emails all day. Looking back just a few weeks later, there is absolutely nothing we would have changed, and we owe it all to Kate and Cygnet. I can’t stress enough how instrumental they were in giving us a perfect wedding - and would encourage anyone that’s on the fence about having a planner to have one conversation with Kate to be convinced it is 100% worth it.

Experiencia fantástica: On our 6 hour drive back home to Minnesota, we talked extensively about the wedding weekend. We have had two previous weddings for our children and attended numerous other weddings. This Chicago wedding rates #1 in our opinion. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. The Publishing House B&B was awesome, and the fact that we never had to leave from the moment we got there was unique and stress free. The breakfasts were delicious. The rooms comfortable and quiet. And all the little nooks were awesome. Your agenda was great, and whenever we had a question, Christian would say 'look at the agenda'. Everything you told us before hand was informational and accurate. The flowers and decorations were beautiful and when asked about the flowers, Jane replied that she told you the ideas she had and you took it from there. The food! What can we say. Delicious. All of it from the appetizers to the dinner to the reception. Kudos to all the caterers. In order to pull off a wedding with less than a year of planning, we decided to enlist the help of a planner and I am so happy we did! We found Kate through a family friend, and she made the entire process a breeze. We opted into a partial planning package, focusing primarily on the design elements (although Kate definitely went above and beyond what our package called for.) She kept us on track, connected us with the best of trusted vendors, set perfect budget expectations, and helped craft a consistent vision. Kate is the embodiment of professionalism, with a very warm and friendly touch. It was a delight getting to plan my wedding with her throughout the process, and I always looked forward to our calls. In terms of day-of coordination, our wedding day was absolutely stunning and seamless. It ended up being my favorite part of working with her and I have a hard time finding words for how nice it was, but the way she spoke to me when I had a question during the wedding was the best. Kate sticks to every deadline and her attention to detail is mind-blowing. I love that she has an opinion on design and will guide you through your thoughts. Wedding planning is hard and being able to lean on a professional to give you advice on what will look best or work best for the day is really amazing. When Kate is with you, you have her full attention, and she makes you feel like the most important people in the world.

With her on our team, we didn’t have to worry about the vendors we chose, what the look of the wedding would be, if everyone would know where to be and when, and that everything day of would go seamlessly. Kate took so much stress and worry off our our plate, which is saying a lot since weddings can be one of the most stressful planning events. She was also always kind, smiling, and understanding in the times of stress, never making me feel like we could make the wrong choice if it was the choice we wanted. We really think we got the best wedding planner in the city, but maybe we are bias. We had the full planning package, but I imagine to any involvement they would offer the same care and expertise.

Experiencia fantástica: If you're looking for a day-of/month-of coordinator, look no further than Chicago Vintage Weddings. From our first inquiry online to the very end of our big day in December 2022, the team at CVW was nothing short of organized and thoughtful. We initially spoke with Kate Reavy, the owner, who then paired us with Aly Szczek as our day-of/month-of coordinator. Aly is 10/10; 5 stars; highly recommend to a friend! From the very first point of contact, she was on it (I honestly wish there was a better and more elegant way to say it... but she truly was!). Through the 6 weeks before our wedding, Aly was focused on asking thoughtful questions, reviewing our vendor contracts, getting in touch with vendors to solidify the itinerary, etc. - all in addition to all the work we didn't see that was happening behind the scenes! Come day of rehearsal, she got us organized and rehearsed (even though we weren't on-site at the venue!) And day of, she was available, keeping us honest on timeline, and ensuring that both my husband and I were both fed and had a drink in hand all evening. And you guessed it... the timeline she created was incredible and went without any hiccups (that we saw at least, because Aly was... of course... on it). Again, highly recommend working with CVW (and their rentals!) for your planning/coordination needs. Our day wouldn't have been as stress-free and beautiful without them :)

From the moment we first connected with Kate in planning our July 2022 wedding, she was professional, organized, and demonstrated profound expertise in all things related to Chicago-area weddings. Throughout the planning process, remaining on budget and carefully tracking expenses was very important to us, and Kate provided the tools and insight needed to ensure we could stay within our number. When some vendors came in higher than expected, she helped us find other areas where we could save without ever feeling like we were compromising. Kate was fantastic in helping us refine and execute on our eclectic wedding vision. With a goal of providing a wedding that felt very personal to us and our relationship, we incorporated many different elements both handmade and from outside vendors. Kate helped bring these disparate elements together in a way that, on wedding day, felt seamless, beautiful, and personal. Kate’s deep relationships with vendors were critical to the planning process - she was able to ensure that vendors were responsive, on budget, and successfully executed the day of. While she provided a fantastic list of recommended vendors across every category, she was also happy to opine on any vendors we were interested in evaluating outside the recommended list. In the days leading up to the wedding, Kate helped keep us calm and collected no matter what situation arose. A couple key members of the wedding party fell ill, rain looked like it could be in the forecast, but Kate helped keep our heads on straight and made sure we had a backup plan for everything. On the day of, she was on point to ensure everything ran smoothly - it was truly an incredible wedding day, and we could not have done it without Kate!!

I interviewed 4 wedding planners and out of them all, Kate was the only one I felt comfortable would bring my visions to life. It was May of 2020 when I started my search for a wedding planner, and as of October 1st 2022 I am finally married and I had the wedding of my dreams thanks to the most amazing wedding planner out there, Kate. Kate with Cygnet Events and Design (formerly Chicago Vintage Weddings) will keep you completely on track, she will connect you with the most AMAZING vendor list in the industry (who all adore her), and you will absolutely fall in love with her charm and her passion for your wedding day. She will be completely honest with you and not sugarcoat anything to make sure that your day is stress free and perfect. Because I was considered a “covid wedding” for a while, the amount of obstacles that we overcame were overwhelming at times, but I never batted an eye when it came to an issue because I knew Kate would fix it or present me with the best options possible. There were times when vendors told us that their policies had changed, or something wasn’t going to be what we thought it was because they hired a new staff, ie. However, Kate had EVERYTHING in writing. And I mean everything. Always. She is a master at reviewing contracts and catching tricky wording to help her clients. She is quite literally, in all sense of the word, your extreme advocate. I am FOREVER grateful to have had Kate by my side my entire wedding day and have everything go off without a hitch. I had MULTIPLE people coming up to me in my bridal party, in my family, and tell me all the same thing “your wedding planner is outstanding”, “I went to your wedding planner with X question and she helped me right away”. Did I mention my husband and I had a bridal party of over 30 people and she handled it seamlessly? The day of the wedding, my bridesmaids kept coming up to me while getting ready saying “Why do you look so calm??”, “why do you not seam stressed out?!”. Besides the fact that I was marrying my best friend and had nothing to worry about, I knew that Kate would be there with any little thing to help. Experiencia fantástica: Let me preface this review by saying our wedding was in June 2021 so I am way late in posting an amazing review for Kate and CVW! However, that should really be a testament to how great she was because I have been thinking about needing to do it nonstop for six months! Okay, let’s get to it: from the initial virtual meeting to our wedding day, I felt super secure and confident with Kate’s approach to making the planning process as smooth as possible (which, given COVID, was no small feat). There was never a question too silly to ask (and I’m sure I asked a lot of them ha), and she was always super responsive! Another big thing was how supportive she was as we navigated the ever shifting regulations/recommendations from city regarding COVID mitigations, and she was somehow both realistic and reassuring every time my anxiety kicked in! When the wedding weekend arrived, Kate was on the ball with coordination, making sure everything was running smoothly and no details were missed (even when I missed them! I forgot to put a specific cordial in our liquor order for a specialty cocktail; the morning of the wedding, she caught it and sent her assistant out to get a bottle!! I had no idea until after the event, which speaks to just how stress free she aimed for the day to be for us!). My intent in working with a wedding planner was to make an investment to ensure we could fully enjoy our day, and Kate and CVW exceeded all expectations!

Experiencia fantástica: If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Hiring Kate and her team was by far the best money we spent for our wedding. We went with the month of coordination package, design, and also got some vintage rentals. I think Kate was honestly born to do this work, she was everything I could have wanted in a wedding planner and more. First, in regards to design, she is an excellent listener and has amazing intuition. From her very first design proposal, she got everything I wanted spot on. I am not an easy person to please when it comes to design either. However, Kate might be even more of a perfectionist than I am (in all the right ways)! I was seriously in awe when I walked into our reception venue – it was stunning. Second, Kate is amazingly patient, yet professional, and gets the job done! Our parents (who where footing most of the bill for the wedding) can be difficult people to work with. Not only did Kate take care of every single request (some being a bit ridiculous), but she did so quickly and with a smile. She remained calm and composed through every single minute leading up to the wedding and every single minute of the nearly 16-hour wedding day. Kate and her team are well connected and organized. I cannot imagine trying to source and wrangle together all our vendors without Kate’s help. She got us the best deals and ensured everything was delivered, set up correctly, and picked up again – all I had to do was review the contracts and pay the companies. Finally, Kate ensured the day was, first and foremost, about me and my husband. She made sure we didn’t have to stress about a single detail day of. She made sure we stuck to our timeline – which was huge. At one point during the reception, we were 30 minutes behind schedule, which meant that the photographers would leave before all the important events for the evening were over. However, she got us back on track and kept everything in line. While doing so, she was so calm and it seemed so effortless on her end, I didn’t even panic for a second. One last note…I had to fight hard with our parents before hiring Kate. They truly didn’t understand how her services were worth the amount of money she was asking for. Even once I convinced them and through out the process, they were skeptical. However, the day after the wedding they said they finally understood. They were amazed at how smooth the day went, how beautiful everything was, and how much fun they were able to have because they didn’t have to worry about every little thing. They agreed, Kate and her team is worth Every. Single. Penny.

It was an easy decision; I was immediately enchanted by their big, rustic farm tables and delicate vintage stemware. Chantel was so warm and responsive and, honestly, just fun — which goes a long way when you're planning a wedding. One lovely in-person meeting, a slew of emails back and forth, and a handful of well-received changes (met with smart suggestions) later, we were all set for an intimate backyard wedding, complete with farm tables, stemware, and a flourish of other beautiful touches. And then an international pandemic. A quarantine. General upheaval of 'normal' life and the dissipation of wedding season 2020. It seemed a trivial thing in some ways, but we, along with the rest of the betrothed, had some soul searching to do: to wed or not to wed? While we were excited and grateful to be one of the few couples who did indeed get to celebrate this summer, we had to make some changes to prioritize safety. Chantel and the owner Kate made those changes easy. I simply could not have pulled off a quarantine wedding without them. They were helpful, flexible, savvy, thoughtful and just real people about the whole thing, a breath of fresh air in a sometimes stuffy industry. Experiencia fantástica: Had a great experience renting with Chicago Vintage Weddings for my backyard wedding! I was going for a vintage chic look for my table centerpieces that was affordable. Chantel was amazing to work with and great communicating. I was easily able to schedule appts to view their studio/warehouse, pick up rentals, and drop them off. I rented a ton of gold candlesticks and vintage bottles and set them up all along the middle of the tables and then added ostrich feathers inside the bottles and vintage love poems ripped from old books laid out underneath as a runner and it was perfect! Exactly what I had imagined and had a bunch of comments on how unique it was. I would highly recommend Chicago Vintage Wedding services.

Here's where we were wrong... the level of service, detail, and care that Kate gives far surpasses anything you may pay (even though all services and rentals are so reasonable) but 2. On the actual wedding day, we really appreciated Ashley's calm and organized presence - she was always magically right there before we even had to look for her. Non-traditional in the sense that we really wanted to have just a beautiful, epic and modern dinner party to celebrate our marriage with our closest loved ones that we didn’t have to really think about planning and leave it up to a professional who had amazing design taste and execution skills. After a few wedding planner interviews, Chicago Vintage Weddings was the right fit! We decided to choose full planning service and met the CEO, Kate Lerman. Not only was she randomly from my hometown and high school, she just felt like a close friend from the moment we met her. Kate is very organized, extremely knowledgeable on the Chicago wedding market, an executor, and again, someone you will really enjoyed being around..(which, I was repeatedly told, choose a wedding planner you really like because you will be spending a lot of time with him/her!). Our full planning included budgeting, designing, curating a short list of select vendors, executing vendor contracts, handling every detail before, during and after the wedding and anything else you could think of. Kate also had amazing design aesthetic and taste (her firm has a beautiful vintage rental collection of furniture, table settings, etc you can rent). She helped us complete our attire, designed our color palate and wedding theme, chose the best florists, caterer and paper goods vendors, curated vintage rentals from her collection, recommended gifts, added a neon sign with our last name, you name it. We chose Salvage one as our reception location and Church de Notre Dame for our ceremony. Kate laid out a budget based on our needs and we were off to chose our vendors. She made it easy by showing us select vendors that fit our style and we really had no second guesses there…maybe a second cake tasting (why not), but we went with one Kate thought was ideal for us anyways (Sweet Mandy B’s). Kate was tough when she needed to be, but also very calm and easy going to ensure a wonderful balance to our crazy busy schedules and also strong personalities. My wedding party, parents, in-laws and friends and family raved about Chicago Vintage Weddings, Kate and how incredibly beautiful and fun the wedding was on June 14, 2019. They said she was cool, uber organized and amazing…and of course I am still friends with Kate today and want to hang with her more . We could not have been happier with Kate as our planner. She was a superwoman and made our wedding absolutely perfect. I was told that I would not actually get to enjoy my wedding day because of all the little details that I would be worrying about throughout the day. Thanks to Kate, this was categorically untrue. I didn't worry about a single thing the day of or even the weeks leading up to the big day. Kate took care to make sure that our vision came to life. Kate also worked with my mother-in-law to plan a great rehearsal dinner and welcome reception. I didn't waste a minute of thought about these events because I knew Kate was on top of everything. She was also able to easily navigate some of the more awkward family situations and she did so with grace and discretion. There is absolutely no better person to hire for your wedding.

The goblets really made our tables look special and the sofa was wonderful for photos and for elderly guests. Delivery and pickup was easy and on-time...Kate even rolled with the punches when the venue owner required a Sunday pickup that typically costs extra. We had a total "blank space" venue and a lot of vendors so having a seamless delivery and setup with Kate was wonderful. Kate responded to e-mails promptly and was such a cool person when I met her at an alternative wedding show. Definitely recommend CVW for making your wedding decor memorable!

We were handed an itinerary that was extremely detailed for the day of the wedding. Kate and her staff took care of everything the night of the wedding. If we needed anything at all, she was on it. Kate did the take down and even dropped off the decorations and flowers at our room where we were staying, so we could continue the celebration! We truly would not have had such a smooth wedding without her and her staff! Because of Kate, we felt no pressure at all on my daughter's wedding day!

We rented a ton of pieces from Kate's awesome vintage furniture collection and hired Pixie as our month of coordinator. Our guests LOVED the furniture - it created the exact ambiance we were hoping for and made for a beautiful backdrop to celebrate our day. Pixie is seriously the sweetest human and so professional. Our wedding was a bit quirky - we threw it in a very non-traditional location that required some serious logistics planning and Pixie ensured everything went perfectly. There were so many little things in the weeks leading up to the wedding that we weren't thinking about or didn't have time for, and if it weren't for CVW, our wedding day experience would have been much different. This team has some great connections and can really pull strings to get things done last minute (if needed)! We chose her “Brigitte / Day-of-Coordination” package due in part to our event planning experience as well as our budget. In hindsight, we wish we would have hired Kate for her full planning services as she was incredibly helpful and took away all of the stress we had been feeling for many months of planning on our own before she got involved. Her day-of coordinating actually begins about 5-6 weeks out from the wedding date at which point she met with us to go over all the details we had already planned. From that point on she took over all of the vendor communications which was great so we could focus on the real importance of the day - our love for each other. We got many compliments from our vendors/officiant/family that Kate’s emails were the most detailed they had ever seen. She really does think of everything, including many things that hadn’t even crossed our mind. It’s helpful that she also has a rental side of her business which allowed us to pick up a few decor items that fit in perfectly with our aesthetic. Kate and her assistant were on point throughout the day, ensuring everyone arrived on time and everything was setup according to our vision. Even when the night was winding down, we frequently saw Kate walking around, making sure everything was still running smoothly down to the last minute. We have no idea what we would have done without having Kate involved for our big day. Like I said, if we had to do it all over again (and thank goodness we don’t!), we would’ve hired Kate for her full planning services. Thank you Kate!

Six months away from our big day, my finance and I decided to change our wedding venue and I was in a state of panic that was paralyzing. We found Kate and quickly brought her on board to help with a partial planning package. Gradually that panic I had felt turned from a numbing fear, to a giddy excitement... and by the week of my wedding, everything was SO organized that my finance and I had literally NOTHING to do. Kate was so on top of things that we got to take the week of the wedding to just relax and be excited. Everything was handled. I kept being like- shouldn't we be stressed right now? But no, it was bliss. The wedding itself was a perfectly choreographed dream sequence. She was calming and commanding and brought a energy to the space that screamed "I GOT THIS." I didn't realize that our honeymoon would be spent entirely re-living the day of the wedding over and over again. We rode that high and still have not come down. It's like there is "real life," and then there is the wedding week in a whole different category of reality. You just don't know how magical it will be until you experience it. Experiencia fantástica: The day after we got married, my (now) husband said, "It's difficult to quantify just how valuable Kate was." Now, he's a man of few words, so the fact that he chose those speaks to our wonderful experience working alongside her. Let's start at the beginning: Once upon a time, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing planning our wedding. I'm also incredibly Type A, really picky, oh, and chronically indecisive--the worst possible combination for wedding planning. Despite that, we wanted to throw a really wonderful event that our families and friends would love as much as we did, and we wanted to honor a budget that kept things reasonable. We also work way too much, so to even have time for laundry felt unrealistic; that said, we were pretty sure planning a wedding would not go well. Then (bugle solo), Kate to the rescue! We couldn't be happier that we found Kate at Chicago Vintage Weddings. We knew that she would help us with the stress of wedding planning, and we were right. She is SO wonderfully organized, and it was such a calming influence to have her cross-checking our decision-making to ensure that we weren't...well...ruining everything. It was also SUCH a huge help having someone to bounce ideas off of or make decisions! Every single decision involves hundreds and hundreds of variables, so to have Kate dramatically reduce those to only the best options for us and guide us through that was unbelievably helpful. Kate also has beautiful taste. I'm aesthetically very picky, and although I didn't want to break the bank, we wanted things to be lovely. With her rentals and aesthetic guidance, she was able to create such a beautiful wedding day, and all without me turning into a stress-induced bridezilla. Kate dramatically reduced our stress and improved everything about our wedding. That's for sure. However, what we didn't expect was for Kate to help so much financially. You'd think that a wedding planner would increase the cost of a wedding, right? Although there is an up-front cost, she was able to help us prioritize, negotiate, and minimize in clever ways we'd never have thought of, and all without compromising how wonderful the wedding was. It was so helpful to have someone there to say, "Nope, that won't make a difference if we say no to that. We don't need it," and to trust that's the case. She ended up spending less than we'd originally budgeted, and all while still making things perfect. I think the best thing about Kate, however, is her unwavering kindness. I must have emailed her a gazillion times, and to say they were "verbose" is probably an understatement. I joked that Kate probably had my face on a dart board because I was bugging her oh-so often. Despite that, Kate was always incredibly patient and kind. She never became frustrated with us or became unresponsive. Instead, she was patient, kind, and helpful, even in those crazy few weeks beforehand when things invariably get bananas. We had such a wonderful wedding that truly was even more wonderful than we'd hoped, and Kate played such a huge part of that. We'd recommend her to anyone searching for a wonderful wedding planner.

I had a specific vision that Kate and her staff brought to life beautifully. Our theme of mismatched table settings in an industrial loft space with earthy green table runners and reclaimed wood tables could not have been more picturesque. Moreover, if you want to remove any semblance of stress or annoyance on your wedding day, you can’t go wrong with the team at Chicago Vintage Weddings. I had the utmost confidence in Kate and her assistants from the moment I met her over a year ago. With coveted spreadsheets in hand, I was positive I had covered the important details leading up to the wedding, and thus initially only used CVW for vintage rentals. I quickly, however, learned the value of hiring a seasoned professional for the actual day of coordination. My organizational skills paled in comparison to Kate; she provided recommendations beyond the scope of her responsibility. And in addition to exceptional planning, she performs her role with such enthusiasm and heartfelt consideration for every couple. While hesitant to spend our precious budget on tasks we thought we could handle alone, Kate made JT and I feel completely at ease leading up to the week before. From last minute vendor communication & prep meetings to hauling cases of champagne and table accessories, she and her team deserve their contract dues and more. While there are many coordination services in Chicago, our decision to use Kate and CVW was simple; she has impeccable taste, is kind and forthright, and will work tirelessly from sunrise to last call to ensure your wedding is one for the books.

We are so happy we made the decision to hire CVW from the very beginning of the wedding planning as it helped with budget planning and some important initial decisions. I was too swamped at work to be able to handle all the details of planning, and Kate made it very seamless and stress-free at the beginning to secure key vendors and locations. In particular, one of the vendors almost double-booked our date, but Kate worked with them to figure out the problem and behind the scenes she figured out a solution to ensure we got our venue. She did this without letting me know about the drama until she had a recommendation on a solution. Throughout the wedding planning process, Kate was always professional, extremely responsive, and handled my micro-managing really well (I couldn't let go out all the control!) During the wedding weekend, Kate had everything very well organized, kept me and family calm, executed on all the details, and made it a perfect day for us. From our first meeting, Kate understood our vision - she listened as I showed her pictures and pinterest boards and asked all of the right questions. She clarified details that I had completely forgot about, and helped to create a plan that we were both comfortable with. Our ceremony and reception were held in the same location with a room flip in-between. We opted to hire two of her team members to help with the flip and they were amazing. Our tables were set beautifully and I didn't have to worry about anything. We got so many compliments on the detail that the vintage china and glassware added to our overall vision. We will certainly be using Chicago Vintage Weddings again for future events, big or small. The prices are amazing and the service is even better :)

Kate and Elizabeth were both very responsive to all of my many demands :) I loved working with both of them and now that everything is over with, it feels strange not communicating with them!I felt at ease knowing they were taking care of every little detail and even bringing things to my attention that I wouldn't have noticed. They immediately saw my vision, executed it without a problem and it was perfect! Both were very organized and detailed-oriented. I also rented China from CVW for my bridal shower at the last minute and Kate was able to pull it off for me. All of my guests said my bridal shower were amazed at the china and the uniqueness of everything. My only regret is that I did not hire them for full wedding planning. In hindsight, I should have. For any of you debating, don't hesitate, definitely hire for full planning, it is worth every penny and then some. I would highly recommend it! Even now, all of my guests rave about my wedding and I know that it was mostly due to CVW and their attention to details!

I was in need of wedding support as I was moving from Chicago to the Bay Area and was not going to be able to handle the final details of my wedding from over 2,000 miles away. I never wanted a wedding planner/coordinator, but I had to be realistic and realize that I was going to need help! I found these fabulous ladies from Google search and feel in love with their website and vision, and I instantly had a gut feeling that these ladies would know what I wanted and help me make it come to life. And that is what they did and then some!!! After we met and talked for over an hour I knew they were the ones that I needed to hire for my month of coordination. There were a few ups and downs with the details of the wedding, none of them with CVW, and Kate and Elizabeth were so professional and supportive and really went above and beyond what I hired them for. Elizabeth kept in touch regularly to assure she had everything from me, vendors, wedding party that she needed for my special day to be perfect, and it was!!! From assuring the timeline was just perfect, to helping me with my broken bustle, they were absolutely spectacular!!! I would recommend Chicago Vintage Weddings for all of your wedding coordination/planning needs!! They will listen to your wants, help you to make them come alive, and be there for you every step of the way!!! And, did I mention that you can rent amazing vintage pieces from them??!! Perfect!!

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter was married on October 18, 2014 in Oak Park, Illinois. Approximately two months before the wedding we realized that there were too many things that had to be done in too short a time period and we turned to Kate and CVW for help with planning before the wedding as well as with taking care of day of coordination tasks and activities. I am so happy that we did this as Kate was absolutely amazing with suggestions and recommendations for the band and the photographer (at this late date this had not yet been arranged!) as well as for seating and the arrangement of tables (this was a cocktail reception not a sit-down dinner), organizing a candy bar, decorating the wedding venue on the day of the event (this included renting some of the really interesting furniture and other decor related items that CVW has available), coordinating day-of activities at the church as well as the reception site and a million other things that we are probably not remembering at this point. Everything came off perfectly and it was a truly extraordinary day with so many compliments from guests about how elegant and beautiful and organized the event was. We cannot say enough good things about Kate, and her assistant Elizabeth, in terms of how important they were to making this such a wonderful and memorable day for the bride and groom and their parents, friends and family. Top-of-the-line service in every possible way!

Experiencia fantástica: I was so excited to find out about Chicago Vintage Weddings at the Chicago Green Wedding Alliance annual eco-wedding fair, Committed. We wanted our wedding to be fun, chic, and most importantly, sustainable. It was also important to us to use vendors whose ideals and practices were aligned with our own, so we like that CVW is small business that proudly supports marriage equality and local animal rescue efforts. CVW’s inventory is infinitely more wonderful than run-of-the-mill rental houses, with tons of character, humor, color and personality and it was also more affordable. We ended up renting everything we couldn’t get from our venue through them, and even adding design services to make sure that all of our components worked seamlessly with our location, floral and other decor. The dessert and appetizer tables they designed for us got so many compliments, and pieces like their wonderful lanterns, the vintage seating lounge, and carnival lighting transformed our venue into a magical place! The last thing I will say is that although I prided myself in not being a high maintenance bride, I did have tons of questions and lots of emails, additions and changes. CVW always made me feel they had unlimited time for me and were happy to be getting my emails. They are also a “make it work” group of gals, even getting my chairs from the ceremony site to the reception (they were so adorable I wanted them at both!) in under an hour’s time. Wonderful, chic, amazing taste, great service, affordable, and you’re supporting a local woman-run small business. This is a win-win-win-win-win situation!!
