Update (8/5/25):
This matter has since been resolved in court, and our company finally got paid in full by the bride and groom. Yes, we had to take legal action to recover the balance because they ignored multiple attempts to resolve this privately. That alone should speak volumes.so what agreement did you come to if we had to go to court to get your relatives to pay their bill?

What’s even more disappointing is that while avoiding communication and refusing to pay, you launched a smear campaign online, rewriting the situation to make us appear unprofessional (which the groom said he asked you to delete and apologized to us because he was sorry for what we went through, so if the groom told you not to do this why are you? —when in reality, we honored our contract, completed the event, and protected the celebration from being disrupted despite being unpaid.

Now, I see you’ve re-written your review again to claim your family was not drunk and not aggressive—both of which are simply untrue. Several of your family members were visibly intoxicated and, at times, confrontational with our staff. Despite that, our team remained calm and professional throughout the night. It’s frustrating to see these facts denied while our reputation is attacked for simply trying to be paid for our work.

It’s unfortunate to see this review continually altered to misrepresent what actually occurred. While we understand emotions can run high after a wedding, the facts remain: your relative failed to pay over half the remaining balance for her wedding reception.

There was never any agreement to waive or delay payment. We provided you with the signed contract and the agreed-upon payment plan. We also sent a voice recording from the day before the event where the bride acknowledged the balance and agreed to pay it at the wedding. There was no confusion.

Despite this, she arrived, made a grand entrance, and proceeded with the full celebration—knowing she hadn’t paid. She later admitted she was hoping money from the gift box would cover what she owed. When it didn’t, she ignored all attempts to speak with her.

Our team was already on-site, working a large event without being paid. Naturally, we had to address the situation. Our manager, whom you referenced, stepped in and was firm—but professional. She informed the bride that the event could not continue unpaid. That is not “instigating,” that is protecting our business and our team.

Even so, I made the personal decision to let the event continue, out of compassion for the groom and the guests. My staff—including two extra servers your family requested—continued to work respectfully and professionally. I paid them all out of pocket to ensure the celebration wasn’t disrupted. Most venues wouldn’t have even opened the doors under those conditions. We did.

You were given the full picture—the contract, the payment agreement, and a voice recording of your relative acknowledging her balance—and still chose to post a review that distorts the truth.(all that evidence was also sent to the judge)

This is the only time we’ve encountered a client who tried to walk away from their bill and then rewrote the story when asked to pay. We took legal action, and that's only when they started to pay because they were served with a notice to appear in court, before that they ignored us.
