Fantastic experience: We had the pleasure of having Serene Events keep our guests drinks cold for our wedding. The bartenders and Dawn did an absolutely amazing job. Dawn and her team went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was absolutely perfect. Not only did Dawn help us with our guest drinks, she also helped us with other services through throughout the day. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect team.

Fantastic experience: To say that Dawn and her crew are amazing, is an understatement. This was the absolute perfect day even with someone crashing into a cellphone tower and everyone temporarily not being able to send calls and text messages (super stressful). Dawn Had all the bases covered. She was ready to step up and marry us when the Judge we hired to do the wedding showed up late. She made this next unforgettable. Thank you for being amazing.

Fantastic experience: Serene Events took care of our bar and day-of coordinating services for my wedding on 3/8/25, and I am beyond pleased with the experience I had working with them. Dawn is extremely thorough and organized. She did an amazing job at capturing our vision for our wedding day. It is clear that she is highly experienced, and handled everything seamlessly. Our day was perfect. Before we hired her, I was skeptical about using a planner since I didn't realize how much work a wedding entails. After working with her, I would NEVER recommend anyone to plan a wedding without a coordinator. Dawn made the process so easy and I truly feel like the day would have been far more chaotic and stressful if it weren't for her help, along with her staff. If you are considering using Serene Events-- you will not be disappointed!!

Fantastic experience: We had Drinks By Dawn bartend for our wedding and although I never had to actually go up to the bar to get a drink as the DJs helper always made sure I had a drink in my hand, my wedding guests had great things to say about the bartenders. Dawn was wonderful from the beginning to end of the process. 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: A must vendor for any event but especially a wedding. They were super easy to work with from start to finish. Created the shopping list, signature drinks and with the package we purchased supplied paper products. During the night of the event, they kept the drinks flowing and consistently ensured my husband and I had drinks in addition to our guests. Book them, you won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience: Serene Events handled my wedding and did an outstanding job! I am pretty type "A" when it comes to planning so leaving it all in someone elses hands was a lot for me. I expected to be stressed out the day of my wedding and honestly, I had no idea about have the little hiccups that arose until after the wedding was over which is exactly how it should be when you hire a wedding coordinator! They even did great helping with the young "ring secuirty" and flower girls down the aisle with smiles. I also used her bartending services "Drinks by Dawn" and they were outstanding! They were efficient and also delivered quality drinks. Even went above and beyond making the kids shirley temples! Everyone had an amazing time and it would have never gone as smoothly and been as much fun without Dawn and her staff! If I had the money to throw another party like my wedding (because hopefully I wont be having another wedding anytime soon, lol) - Serene Events is my go-to and I highly recommend Dawn and her team!

From the first moment I met her very early on in my wedding planning process I knew she was going to make my day AMAZING! She made the process easy and so stress free. We used her team of vendors, who were equally amazing. On my wedding day we woke up to rain, I also woke up to a text from Dawn telling me not to worry that it was going to be a magical day. And let me tell you that it was. There was so much attention to detail in that room! The shot wall was the biggest hit, doing a shot instead of a champagne toast, our guest still talk about it! They even put juice on the wall for the kids!!!! Tensions rose with family again later and she sorted that out as well. Every family hiccup that came up was controlled professionally and quickly! Her crew is so sweet and professional couldn't have asked for a better company to work our wedding! Mango mojitos yummy! She's the one you want. Her and her manager Amanda were in communication with me every step of the way. Helped me even save on my liquor order. My daughter is only 3 months old and I'm already contemplating hiring her for her mock tail bar for my babies 1st bday!

Fantastic experience: Dawn made everything exactly how I wanted it and gave expert feedback on each decision! She left no details undone and saved me a ton Of money on all my vendors. She wrangler children, set scenes, broke down tables and directed vendors. The day of wedding coordinating was perfect and she kept the ceremony running at perfect speed. The drinks were fabulous and affordable.

We were out of state “wedders” and Dawn worked with us throughout the year to make sure our wedding day was magical. We were very pleased with her designs and ideas and the way she was able to bring everything together on our wedding day. Choose Serene events, you will not be disappointed.

Negative experience: I would not recommend Dawn. However, if you're booking with The Barn at Oleander you'll have no other choice then to use her. When I met her for the first time at the open house she was not pleasant. She is rude and acts as if you are below her. Since we had no choice but to book her, the experience was not any better. She is veryyyy difficult to get a hold of. Our own wedding planner who also works with the venue told us many brides and grooms she's worked with have said the same thing (I'm so glad I didn't use Dawn as our month of coordinator). Anyways, she came to the rehearsal dinner to drop things off, but didn't even have the decency to say hello to the people that are paying her. (Paint it how you want, but that's rude.) She NEVER even showed up to the wedding (nor was this disclosed ahead of time). There were young people bartending that messed up the specialty drinks. I was the Bride and the young girl felt the need on MY wedding day to complain to me about my father who called her out on messing up the drinks. (Using the wrong liquor for one of the mixed drinks, and giving away all of the sprite which she was told not to give out (because the bride is pregnant and can't drink anything else) 1 hour into cocktail hour.) Why stress the bride out on her one day for no legitimate reason? (Spare me the theatrics of how this is somehow our fault, directions were made they just weren't listened). I am having a very hard time wrapping my brain around how I booked and paid someone a lot of money for a service that they personally never even showed up for (again, wasn't vocalized). Now I just got an email from her asking to leave a review, so here am I. Wedding planning is stressful enough, she shouldn't have made it harder than it needed to be. I'm sure Dawn will respond saying this isn't fair nor right per her other responses on bad reviews, but save yourself the time. The Barn at Oleander clients will have no other choice then to use Dawn, so she'll still be in business. But, she wasn't even present at the wedding to provide a valid excuse nor opinion on any of the other matters. Her responses on negative feedback proves character. Take accountability and do better, Dawn.

Negative experience: PICK A DIFFERENT PLANNER Walked away feeling lied to, let down and heart broken. Chose Serene Events based off the Tuckahoe vendor list for month of planning. I will not speak on someone personally however, as far as business goes, my worst nightmares came true as a bride. Things I expressed that were important to me were minimized by Dawn and were not executed properly. Communication was so poor our ceremony was practically ruined. My inner joy and happiness was robbed by the day of disasters. There were so many little things that could have been avoided and I truly thought they would be with us hiring a planner….but that was unfortunately not the case. My own family was told to move from the first row and was made to STAND during the ceremony. It seems as though there was an issue with the amount of chairs however we ordered more than enough and these are the things planners are supposed to sort out before the ceremony starts…. Looking back through pictures and finding this out after the fact absolutely broke my heart. One of the worst, horrifying parts was watching Dawn and her staff break down our wedding before last call was even announced when we specifically paid for extra hours to allow clean up and break down. The Drinks by Dawn portion of our wedding did run smoothly and our guests were happy with the bartenders and food servers. I had very high hopes for our special day and also put full faith/trust in Dawn. The mistakes were unfortunate and could have been avoided. I am honestly writing this to help any bride in the future avoid these feelings. Your wedding is a day you cannot recreate and no bride or groom should have to go through what we did on ours. We walked away at the end of the night being very thankful for each other and our guests who made the night so special, without them, the day would have been far less joyous.

Fantastic experience: Dawn was amazing! My husband and I were on a tight budget and she did everything she could to keep us on track. She was super helpful in every way possible. If you are looking for someone who knows what they are doing and can take the stress out of planning for you, then she's the way to go. She is partnered with other vendors in the area so she truly is a one-stop shop for everything you need. We had never planned an event like this before so it was really nice to have someone who had all the answers. Her staff was also very knowledgeable and super helpful through everything. 10 out of 10!

Fantastic experience: Goodness! Where do I start? Dawn is the BEST coordinator, bartender, and now friend I could ask for! My husband and I had our wedding at the Barn at Oleander. Fantastic experience: Best Coordinator EVER! Dawn is vey knowledgeable, passionate, patient, and helpful. Because of her, I was able to put my dream wedding together on a specific budget. She worked with me and guided me through the entire process as my Day of Coordinator. Fantastic experience: Awesome Job as always!

Negative experience: I used Drinks by Dawn at my wedding at the barn at Oleander. She had me way over buying the liquor she said I ‘needed’. The lady at Total wine explained to me what I needed for the 70 people I was having. Dawn had me buying for about 300 people. Also I was responsible for providing all of the ice the morning of my wedding (which she also had me over buy) so that was very inconvenient. The bar tenders at my wedding were great but Dawn never even showed up. All in all I wouldn’t recommend her service.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of having Drinks by Dawn bartend my daughter’s wedding at Ever After Farms Ranch this past weekend. Dawn was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning!! Roxanne you were absolutely fantastic as was your partner (so sorry I can’t remember his name). The drinks were so good - from Taylor’s Mango Mojito, Connor’s Crown Apple and especially the Marry Me Margaritas!! So good… Thank you again Dawn - your team was fantastic!
