A Beautiful Theme

Fantastic experience: Our wedding venue required a wedding planner and to be honest, my initial reaction was reluctance, but Ashley and A Beautiful Theme was not just needed, they added so much value to the wedding experience, I now am more than delighted we selected this company as our planner! That's something that I didn't imagine would be possible when we were interviewing planners. We hired Ashley for Month of Coordination services. Much of the planning we had done ourselves including invitations, selection of vendors, decorations, and more. Ashley join us exactly 30 days before the wedding and worked not just with me, but my bridesmaids, husband, and every vendor. Every meeting was open to whomever I needed involved to ensure that we were all on the same page and everyone's ideas and responsibilities were clear. She took the time to visit the venue and walk through everything with the owner, even though she had worked there before and had been recommended by the venue. She contributed ideas to our discussions with the DJ and gave us both some ideas we might not have otherwise considered. She created a detailed flow of the day for the wedding party, and a smaller version for guests that included her telephone number for contacts so those of us in the wedding party would not have to stress about those guest needs the day of the event. I really appreciated how Ashley worked with our officiant as well. Our officiant had shared that some wedding planners run the show and in prior services had made them feel excluded. Not only did our officiant feel included, but the way the event worked resulted in her being part of the procession and staying to join us for part of the reception too! It was a gift to have her joy present for more than just the ceremony. Ashley's additional value came in helping us with guidance about flowers and table decor that we would not have considered, helping coordinate transportation and parking, and catching a few little things during the rehersal and the event that seemed normal to those of us who aren't involved in weddings frequently, but could have been problematic. Overall, Ashley's electronic tools, detailed approach, engaging personality, and conductor-like energy kept everything flowing exceptionally well for everyone involved in and attending the wedding. She brought the vendor team together (which is so critical for a destination wedding) to create an event we wanted -- being sure that the spirit and ambiance of our wedding was what we envisioned. She and her staff were a pleasure to work with and are highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Attention! Please listen carefully, Ashley and her team ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! Being on the venue side, I had always recommended Ashley to my wedding couples because she was well organized, established a trust with our couples and met deadlines for the venue. When it was time for my wedding, Ashley was one of the first vendors that we hired for both full-service wedding planning and floral. This decision, without a doubt, was the best decision we ever made. Our wedding was a dream come true because of her. She is patient, thoughtful, incredibly detailed and listens to your envisions to make your dream become a reality for the special day. Fantastic experience: Ashley helped make our wedding the best day of our lives! She was great with bringing together a cohesive design in a tricky venue and the week of logistics. On our day there were a few bumps and Ashley did a fantastic job of managing them so that we never knew what went wrong until after the event. Could not have done our wedding without A Beautiful Theme and very grateful for Ashley's partnership.

Negative experience: I had a brief and disappointing interaction with the owner of this floral business. She was impatient and not willing to work within my schedule as the customer. But she did ask me to pay $2500 up front and sign a contract without seeing a proposal first. Our wedding date is a busy one this year, and she was rushing to fill it. When I didn't sign a contract or pay the deposit (again still no proposal), she sent an abrupt email stating that she was accepting another wedding instead. Lots of red flags when a business asks this of you. It was a blessing that I found another amazing florist. All the best to the brides out there! Wedding planning is stressful, so be careful (not rushed) to find the right partners.

Fantastic experience: I can't speak highly enough about my experience with Ashley and the team over at A Beautiful Theme. I hired her to do florals for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary and it was her attention to detail for me! My gosh, from start to finish she was really knowledable about what flowers she thought would work best together while never steering away from my vision. She was friendly, energetic, and just an overall true professional. I could tell her main goal was to make my grandparent's event look elegant.. and she absolutely outdid herself!

Fantastic experience: Having a destination wedding can be extremely stressful. Planning a wedding in three months can also be very stressful. Combine those two, and it gets chaotic. I live in the Midwest and hired Ashley in March to plan my June wedding. It was a crazy idea, but from the moment I explained my dream to Ashley she was on board. There was never a question of if we could do something, but always how. She thinks outside of the box and will push to make sure your day is exactly what you envisioned! The day of our wedding felt so balanced because of all the wonderful planning in place. I ended up getting married in the pouring rain, and I remember how supportive she was of my every decision that day. Not only did she pull off the impossible planning process in a rushed timeline, she also made a thunderstorm in the desert work for an outdoor ceremony. I had difficulty finding a florist who could create the beautiful image I had in my mind and living hundreds of miles away from the wedding venue made things even more difficult! Fantastic experience: Choosing A Beautiful Theme was the best early decision that we made when we started the wedding planning process. We met with Ashley Sargent early on in Santa Fe to discuss the event at La Posada. At that initial meeting she took all the time needed to understand our vision for the wedding and to answer all of our questions. Ashley helped us to choose vendors and that was extremely helpful since we were planning from out of state. With Ashley’s guidance all was in place for an August 2020 wedding-and then COVID happened. We were so discouraged to have to postpone the event for almost a full year. Ashley took charge of notifying all of our vendors to have them move the date to 2021 and that was so appreciated since we were broken-hearted about the postponement. Fast forward to Spring 2021 and we were able to pick up right where we left off. Ashley guided us in finalizing the arrangements with La Posada and our vendors, all of whom had experience with Ashley and vice versa. And let me tell you about the florals! We scored double with A Beautiful Theme in that Ashley is a florist extraordinaire! In a word her floral design was extraordinary. I am so glad we will have photos to remind us of how simply perfectly the event came together. The lovely details in the overall design just made our entire vision come to life. Ashley was always available for phone calls, emails, texts and general hand holding which allayed all our fears about out of state planning. Quite literally our beautiful event would not have been possible without Ashley and her team at A Beautiful Theme.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough wonderful things about A Beautiful Theme! We called Ashley after a horrible experience with our first wedding planner. The first wedding planner we hired never delivered anything she was supposed to and lied about coordinating everything with our vendors. We found this out about a month before the wedding and when I told Ashley what happened she was very kind and receptive to help us and agreed to take on coordinating our special day. She jumped in with no problem, helped us pick up all the pieces with all the vendors and gave a ton of insight to the coordination of the wedding. She is a true joy to work with and made sure my wedding was exactly what I wanted. We chose a venue that required a ton of coordination from catering and rentals to our 7 piece band. All our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family loved their team. They were always professional and organized. Ashley has a bubbly personality that just radiates happiness with everyone. I don’t know what I would’ve done if she hadn’t agreed to be our wedding coordinator. My only regret is not hiring her from the start as she would have made the whole process an enjoyable experience.
