Fantastic experience: We were recommended Celia through our venue as one of their preferred vendors for officiants. After a quick call with Celia to get to know her, we were convinced right away that she was a good choice for us! Celia is personable, kind, easy to work with, and best of all a wonderful public speaker. We were able to see the script in advance and made some minor tweaks to it to ensure it was true to our story. She was available to answer any questions we had. Fantastic experience: When I started wedding planning, searching for an officiant was one of the top most daunting tasks purely because I didn't have any idea where to start. Our parents had gotten married in a church or temple and a lot of other non-denominational weddings we had been to had a friend or family member officiate - not something we were super keen on doing ourselves since we met in a speech and debate club in high school and wanted someone similarly comfortable with public speaking from go. I found Celia Milton via The Knot and I'm so glad I did. She was immediately very responsive to our inquiry and when we had our initial call with her over the phone we knew she would bring the right tone and energy to our ceremony. Celia has years of experience under her belt and it really shows in the ceremony she helped pull together. We had so many guests come up to us after the ceremony to rave about how it was one of the best ceremonies they had been to because it was able to strike so many different tones - funny and lighthearted, emotional and contemplative - in just thirty minutes. On top of that, Celia helped make the script personal to us and our journey together as a couple, which included a traditional handfasting and having our grandparents do guest readings. All in all, the ceremony she gave flowed so well and struck all the beats we wanted it to, which I think made it especially special for both us and our guests. I also want to mention it was so helpful having Celia in our corner given her many years of experience. She just knows weddings and knows a lot of wedding people! She pointed us in the direction of our cinematographer for example and otherwise gave a ton of great advice on other aspects of wedding planning personally over email and via her New Jersey Weddings Podcast which I listened to. That sort of experience really put me at ease that I had somebody to lean back on during wedding planning who has seen it all. Tl;dr - Our wedding ceremony was perfect and it was perfect especially because Celia Milton was our officiant. I cannot recommend her enough for the amount of amazing energy she brought to the planning process and the fact that the final product was just amazing down to the little touches. Thank you Celia!

Fantastic experience: Celia is a literal gem. I can sit and talk to that woman for hours on end simply because she’s just that easy to talk to lol. She did an excellent job at our ceremony. People RAVED about her for days after our wedding too. She’s very well spoken, she structured the ceremony so nicely, took the time to get to know us, and was able to work in a whiskey unity shot which was a huge hit.

Fantastic experience: Celia officiated our wedding in October 2024 and was absolutely incredible. I would definitely recommend her to other brides and grooms. She was very professional, personable, and knowledgeable. She gave us recommendations and tips and tricks for our ceremony and vows that were very helpful. She lets you read and edit anything she says which was great. I was afraid it would take away from hearing it during the ceremony, but it absolutely didn't. Celia was amazing during the ceremony. She was very captivating and heartwarming. It was everything we could hope for. We had multiple guests comment on how amazing Celia was and how wonderful our ceremony was. Some things to note that I really appreciated from Celia was..... 1. She gave advice/info on getting the marriage license, and she took care of submitting it after the ceremony. 2. She had our witness' sign before the ceremony since we did a first look and were all together before the ceremony. It was perfect because it was a little special moment right before and it allowed us to go right into cocktail hour. 3. She gave us tips on how to write our vows, and she took care of printing it and putting it in a book so we didn't have to worry about packing it or carrying it with us. 4. We wanted a family member to do a reading during the ceremony, but didn't know where to start. Celia gave us suggestions and also planned when in the ceremony it would go. 5. She stepped to the side during the first kiss to allow for a perfect picture 6. She wore a lovely neutral outfit that fit in perfectly for the ceremony/photos/video You can tell that Celia loves what she does and that she really cares about making a beautiful ceremony for each and every couple!

She took so much time to get to know us, checked the script with us several times, made sure to include our families, and gave me a call to check in whenever needed. Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about Celia. We booked her super late, roughly 6-8 weeks before our wedding as I completely forgot about an officiant!! My husband and I ended up talking to Celia for 1.5 hours on the phone for our first meeting because we just hit it off so well. During that time, she got to know us, our story, what we liked/dislike…. SO MUCH SO, that on my actual wedding day, more than 5 people came up to me during cocktail hour saying what a beautiful ceremony we had, how amazing and personal the officiant made everything feel, and how much it seemed like she deeply knew us. Her ability to capture our 11 year relationship in a 17 minute ceremony, was truly impressive; So much so, that some of our guests came to us and asked if she was a family friend. His questionnaire was very detail oriented, and he takes his time putting together his words.
