Fantastic experience: We had the pleasure of working with Lisa & her team for an out-of-town event recently. Many moving parts, unfamiliar vendors, weather issues, etc...and they handled it like the true pros they are. Pre-event communication was excellent, during event execution was smooth, and post-event wrap up was quick. Definite 5 stars from here!

Fantastic experience: Lisa and her team were amazing! My husband and I booked them a year in advance with their all-inclusive package... 10/10 would recommend!! I was really nervous about researching all the different vendors (other than catering) and getting played, so it was really nice to have pre-chosen vendors that have worked with Lisa for quite some time now! All the vendors that were included (photographer, DJ, videographer, bakery, and hair and make up to name a few) are AMAZING, the day of the wedding went flawless, and they certainly lived up to their business name!

Fantastic experience: Lisa and Kayla were amazing, professional, so competent and knowledgeable, but most importantly seemed to have that helpful attitude and heart of truly caring. They also helped with vendor recommendations that were all so great and also reasonably priced. They went so much above and beyond what we expected.

Fantastic experience: I was the Mother of the Bride this past weekend.Lisa and Kayla were absolutely AMAZING! It was uncanny how every time I needed her, all I had to do was look up and Kayla was there. The wedding was so beautiful and my daughter and her husband didn't have a thing to be concerned about. Thank you for such a lovely and wonderful evening.

Fantastic experience: Lisa, Kayla, and Natalie were absolutely wonderful. Lisa was absolutely on top of things all day long, even through a family emergency (which I wouldn't have even known about if a bridesmaid hadn't told me). Kayla just absolutely melted into the background and magically appeared anytime anyone needed her. My mom and bridesmaids had nothing but amazing things to say about her. She seriously has a sixth sense and was perfect. After the ceremony, my mom and a bridesmaid had trouble bustling my dress and Kayla and Natalie didn't hesitate to jump in there. They only got it bustled because these two lovely ladies. The only thing I would change would be to have a more structured rehearsal. People were confused which side to stand/sit. But this also could've 100% been our fault and maybe needed to be communicated/ questioned about better. Seriously amazing job, ladies! Thank you so much for making my day so stress free!

Fantastic experience: I am the mother of a groom. Lisa and her assistant, Kayla could not have been more helpful and attentive the day of my son and his wife’s wedding. They made sure the day was perfect.

Fantastic experience: Natalie and Lisa LITERALLY take all the stress out of planning a wedding. My husband and I had our wedding this past weekend at The Cotton Mill, and it was absolutely perfect in every way! I went with the All-Inclusive package. Natalie and Lisa were the point of contact with all of the vendors (venue, caterer, DJ, florist, Makeup Artist, baker for cake). I am so thankful to both Natalie and Lisa for making our special day so perfect and stress free!!! :)

Fantastic experience: They promise you get to be a guest at your own wedding, and they deliver on that promise. I primarily worked with Lisa during the planning process and Natalie was on site the day of the wedding, both are fantastic and know their stuff! I’m pretty sure they saved me THOUSANDS of dollars by helping me find vendors under my budget and also saved my sanity by doing all the vendor due diligence. Whether you have a bunch of questions and want to be super involved, or just want to sit back and let them do the work, they can make it happen for you. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Lisa and Natalie were truly amazing to work with for my wedding! I knew that all details were going to be taken care of and that I did not have anything to worry about. Natalie was there on site with me and was truly amazing. My husband is a stubborn one and wanted to do things his way, but Natalie knew exactly how to handle him so we could enjoy our day together! I am apart of the wedding industry myself so it is hard to let go, but with Natalie I knew that she had it all under control and that I could be just the bride. It truly was an amazing night and I could not thank Lisa and Natalie enough for making everything happen.

Fantastic experience: SFEW were a big help every step of the way! When I had questions, they made sure to answer them. They helped make decisions when my fiance and I were too ambivalent. Natalie made sure the both of us were taken care of throughout the day. I have guests who commented "wow! I've never seen the bride and groom get to eat at their own wedding before!" They were kind, understanding, and super accommodating of the things we didn't have opinions on vs things we were extra about. I'm super glad we booked them. I don't think the day would have gone as smoothly without Natalie!

Fantastic experience: Lisa and her team were unbelievably remarkable at making our wedding day perfect! She helped us coordinate with every single vendor, joined us on tastings, set up meetings, and helped us coordinate every single detail you could imagine. She and her team truly went above and beyond for us and have become a second family. They absolutely create a stress free experience allowing you to embrace every beautiful moment of your special day! I did not have a worry in mine the day of my wedding because I knew Lisa was handling everything. I cannot recommend Stress Free Events and Weddings enough!

Fantastic experience: We loved working with Lisa and Stress Free events to plan our wedding. We have never planned a large event before and she was with us though each step to provide guidance and to answer our many questions. She made finding vendors and communicating with vendors very smooth and easy. She also went above and beyond to help with things like decor setup and breakdown. It was also very important for us to stay within our budget and she was mindful of this and helped with creative ways to do this but still have an awesome event. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a low stress wedding planning experience

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love Stress Free Events and Weddings! They helped me with planning and my decor package. It was everything I imagined it to be and more. My whole wedding felt like a dream. The name of this company is perfect because I really did feel stress free on my wedding day, and a lot of the time leading up to my wedding. Trust me, you definitely want to use them for your wedding!!! :)

Fantastic experience: We were supposed to be getting married last month in Captiva, FL, but two weeks before our wedding day, Hurricane Ian ended up destroying our venue and the island. We wanted to keep the same wedding date, considering all our friends and family had already designated that weekend to our wedding. This left me with two weeks to re-plan an entire wedding here in McKinney that took me months to plan before. I called up Lisa at the Cotton Mill (this was a venue we had really liked when we were contemplating having a local wedding) and she had me come in the very next day to meet with her. Obviously, I was a little frantic and emotional, but Lisa was so good at letting me know "she had this" and everything was going to be perfect. Within hours, she had gone down her list of vendors and we had already picked out so many things. Cake was done, rentals/lighting done, she had set up a meeting the following day between myself and the florist & caterer. She basically helped me plan an entire wedding within hours. Lisa was always on top of communication between myself and the vendors and seriously took all my wedding stress away. I got to enjoy the process and my wedding day was the best day of my life (aside from the day our son was born). I call Lisa my "guardian angel" because she really was just that to me. I seriously could not have pulled this off without her. Could not recommend her and her team more. They were all so fun, enjoyable to be around, and I knew that they truly did care so much that my big day was perfect.

Fantastic experience: Lisa and the entire Stress Free team truly live up to their name. From start to finish our wedding was a dream and working with Stress Free was by far the best decision I made in planning. Their expertise, care, and responsiveness made the entire planning process easy. Our wedding day of 100+ guests and 3 different locations was a perfectly seamless, fun, and personal experience for us and our guests. Stress Free connected us with expert vendors within our budget, who knew each other and worked exceptionally well together, a real "dream team"! Fantastic experience: Absolute 5 stars. The sweetest souls to ever work with and they truly do care so much about you, your vision and your big day. Man did they save me money!!!!!! Negative experience: Brides must be warned before booking with Lisa. We waited a long time to have our big day and she knew this. She has a “details meeting” a few weeks before weddings. At our meeting she did not want to hear anything I had to say. She told me over & over again to calm down & she would handle everything day of. I asked about practicing before the ceremony & she said it was unnecessary. I left the meeting upset but my husband reassured me that everything would work out. She said she would take care of it. On the morning of the wedding we showed up & Lisa never submitted the updated seating chart. It delayed us setting up immediately. Questions were asked during setup & every response was snarky & uncalled for. She told me she would assist with set-up and did nothing at all. Folding napkins was the only thing she did all morning- a separate service I paid for her to do. This should have been completed upon her arrival. She sat in the corner of the room with her assistant the entire time we were setting up tables. She never offered to help as she watched my bridal party & I rush to set things up. Our venue had a storage room to keep wedding items in after setting up. While my sister was supposed to be getting ready with me, she told her that she needed to go find a groomsman to drive their car up & load boxes that didn’t fit. The boys were in a house next to the venue & of course she couldn’t walk over there herself to ask. When we were lining up for the ceremony her assistant was extremely rude to the wedding party. We wanted to go over the ceremony with Lisa at the details meeting but she insisted she had it taken care of. She said she would send everyone out for the ceremony herself. The wedding party was getting yelled at for asking questions & she didn’t go over exiting the ceremony with them at all. Several of the guests weren’t seated until after I already walked down the aisle, she should have been watching for this. She didn’t tell us simple things that a coordinator should- like where to stand prior to going down the aisle/that someone should stand to let the guests know the bride is about to walk down the aisle. Instead my bridesmaids had to ask people to stand. After the ceremony ended, neither of them were directing guests on where to go to cocktail hour. I asked a family friend to go light candles during cocktail hour and she wouldn’t let them in. She rudely told them they had it handled. As everyone was getting their sparklers lit for our exit, the assistant told our guests to “shut up” and then proceeded to threaten them, telling everyone that we will be charged if they didn’t handle the sparklers properly. She spoke to our guests like children. Lisa also casually came up to me stating she “promised” another bride the florals from the staircase that I paid for. She made it seem as if she was doing me a favor when it was a simple removal. It was sneaky of her & very unprofessional. She was focused on this instead of helping get the venue set up. We never got a piece of our own wedding cake because she did not put one aside for us. She did not make sure we had drinks for our toasts- my family did. As icing on the cake, family members shared with us that the coordinator shared her contact information with them after they expressed how beautiful the wedding was. She didn’t explain to guests that the bride & groom actually decorated the venue completely themselves- she took credit for it. We had fabulous vendors for our wedding but I will never recommend Lisa to a bride. You want to be able to trust that your coordinator is there to make your day the best possible. They should have your back. I never heard from Lisa after the wedding. I told her I didn’t appreciate how my family and guests were talked to all day/night long & she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. My mother spoke to Lisa about how unprofessional her assistant was & she said she would be speaking with her. We never received an apology.

Fantastic experience: My wedding day was so the best day ever because of Lisa and Natalie. While planning, Lisa was so communicative, responsive, and beyond helpful. She made the wedding planning process so easy. The day of, she and Natalie helped me envision what my ceremony would look like at our “plan B” location because it was pouring rain and they helped set the scene and made my vision come to life for my wedding. Even in the pouring rain, Natalie went out and grabbed my decorations and brought them in for me so i wouldn’t get wet. They went the extra mile and truly are just so wonderful. I was never stressed out once, or worried about anything since it was in Lisa's hands. I would HIGHLY recommend Stress Free to anyone that is getting married!

Negative experience: There are so many better options for wedding planners. I chose Lisa with Stress Free, honestly, because her prices were lower than anyone else I looked into. And my venue, The Gardenia, recommended her. So, I figured the price wasn’t an indicator of quality. After following her social media for just a few weeks, let me tell you, IT IS! I booked Lisa for my wedding on June 2, 2023. I booked her in April 2022. In late April 2022, I decided to scale back my wedding and cancel all plans I had made. I had paid Lisa in full ($2000) for day-of-coordination + a little extra help with keeping me on track. However, she only required a $500 non-refundable deposit. Upon letting her know that I was deciding to cancel, Lisa would have owed me $1500, since $500 was non-refundable. However, Lisa REFUSED to pay us the correct amount, and insisted that she only owed us $1000. So, she stole $500 from me, since I paid in full up front. There is no “sides” here, that is simply absurd and unethical. She does not have enough business and will do everything she can to make an extra buck. To be honest, you’d be better off without a planner than with her as one. You want someone you can trust on your wedding day, not someone who’s going to pry money from you. I promise she’s not worth it.

Negative experience: Buyer beware!!!! My son and his fiancé booked her services over 14 months in advance! Due to difficulty finding venues post Covid-19 they booked very far out. I paid her $2000 ($1500 more than the required deposit) & then 2 weeks later my son and fiancé decided they were going to have a destination wedding so they don’t have to wait for 14 months to get married. Lisa had performed no services for us. We politely asked for our money back because we no longer will be needing her service. She went on and on about a contract that we signed about cancellation (mind you it’s 14 months ahead of time, and she has performed NO SERVICE for us yet!) She begrudgingly gave me $1000 back and then states when she books the date (now 12 months from now!) she may give us back $500. WHAT?? That’s such bad business. Basically we are being punished because we paid in advance! BAD business!!!!

Fantastic experience: Lisa and her team were hands down the best decision we made during the wedding planning process. They made planning our wedding incredibly easy and STRESS FREE! I cannot say enough good things about this company!

Fantastic experience: Lisa was a great wedding planner and an incredible asset throughout our entire planning process. We postponed for a year out from our original date due to the pandemic and Lisa supported us the whole time! It was so valuable to have someone that is so connected in the wedding industry in DFW and she made finding our vendors fairly easy. Our wedding day ran smoothly and her assistant was SO incredible and helped bring my vision to life. SFEW is the way to go!

Despite hiring her as a “month of” planner, she was there to provide her expertise and reassurance all along the way. Her level of communication is astounding. And even more so, is her amazing heart. She’s so invested and truly cares about her brides. By the end of the experience, she was like family. I can’t recommend Stress Free enough. It was hands down the best decision I made out of the hundreds of decisions that went into my wedding.
