Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Shawna enough! She was our wedding coordinator for our wedding yesterday, and she was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Weddings can be stressful, but she handled every detail so calmly and professionally, allowing us to truly enjoy our special day. She kept everything organized, made sure the timeline stayed on track, and was always one step ahead solving things before we even knew there was an issue. Her attention to detail and genuine care for making our day perfect really showed.Because of her, everything ran smoothly and we were able to relax and celebrate with our family and friends. Fantastic experience: Nothing but great things to say about Shawna and her business! She coordinated our son's wedding in Cancun. Shawna was in contact with the hotel from the beginning setting up appointments for hair, makeup and food tastings for the bride and groom. She sent agendas daily while we were there keeping everyone updated on events. Everything ran smoothly. Her attention to detail and professionalism left this mama worry free so I could stay in the moment for this special occasion. Shawna has a sweet smile and disposition, but can round up an unruly group of guys and make them toe the line. I am forever grateful to her for making this wedding one to remember!

Fantastic experience: There are not enough stars to properly rate Savvy Southern Events. From start to finish, our wedding coordinator and her assistant were impressive beyond measure. Planning support? Seamless. Spray tan services? A literal lifesaver. Full access to her personal wedding décor warehouse at no additional cost? Unreal. She coordinated our rehearsal, handled full venue decorating and take-down, and even made last-minute purchases on the wedding day for items we overlooked or underestimated – all without missing a beat! She somehow managed to capture sneak-peek photos and videos of our most meaningful moments while simultaneously promoting and supporting our other vendors, carrying and bustling my dress train and veil, and coordinating every moving part behind the scenes to ensure smooth transitions all day long. At the end of the night, she helped collect all of our personal décor items and gifts and made sure everything was safely secured in our suite, something we didn’t even have to think twice about. The level of multitasking, professionalism, and genuine care she showed is something I still can’t wrap my head around. Savvy Southern Events is nothing short of a dream come true for a bride. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. Hiring her was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day.

Fantastic experience: They do absolutely everything! Providing decorations, decorating and setting up, dealing with vendors and all admin work, even tanning, they can do it all! Rain or shine, Shawna and Treasure did an amazing job of creating the most magical wedding day we could’ve asked for! We wouldn’t have had the most amazing wedding without them!

Fantastic experience: Lauren was our day of coordinator and she was AMAZING. We would recommend them and were the best out of all our vendors! They helped along the way. We didn’t have to worry about any decor and she set everything up for us! We didn’t have to worry about checking in with all our vendors because she did it for us! This was money WELL spent and worth every penny!!

Fantastic experience: ✨​✨​We recently took part in an ILEA San Antonio event that Shawna and her team planned....what an A-MAAAZING event, and experience!! ✨​✨​Leading up to the event, Shawna was so on top of everything. She held weekly meetings with all the vendors to make sure we were all ready. There were A LOT of moving parts, and they all handled it so gracefully! The event itself was stunning...gorgeous decor, florals, music, entertainment....so many things going on for guests to enjoy. ✨​✨​I CAN NOT brag on this team enough!! Fantastic experience: My now husband and I were planning to do a quick destination wedding and then a few short months ago decided to have an actual wedding after all. I was overwhelmed to say the least! Shawna and I met for coffee and within a few minutes ( seriously maybe 5) she mentioned an event center I’ve never heard of. I saw pictures and fell in love with it & we looked at it / booked it a week later … meanwhile she already had options for me to use for decor and gave me the steps and tools to take each step all while keeping me organized which says a lot. I work full time and also travel to race and train and she still made this so doable and we cannot thank her and her team enough. The reminders and quick responses were something I could rely on throughout this whole process- also a bonus was she even does spray tans and had me looking good and feeling good! She was basically Holding my hand through this entire process. I don’t usually leave reviews unless I feel like I need to warn the world to not use someone but it was opposite for SSE. I want every future bride to do themselves a favor and use them. You end up saving time and money which is opposite of what you think with a planner. Just do it! Beyond grateful because our special day was PERFECT!

Fantastic experience: My daughter & her husband “modern day”eloped last summer . This April we threw them a large “Happily Ever After “ reception. It was a western chic theme with an eclectic flare . I can ASSURE you it would not have happened without Shawna & her team. LOOK NO FURTHER because I can’t imagine anyone being better . Don’t waste your time trying LOL . She is beyond organized and efficient & quick …& doesn’t cut corners . She took all the ideas we requested and worked to the highest level to make them happen. If we needed to go different directions she has the best resources and connections and creative ideas. Let me reiterate.. She can do ANYTHING. Traditional , modern , wild , intimate, eclectic , large ….. Her attention to detail was beyond my standards and that’s high. My daughter , her mother-in-law (& now my good friend! had so much FUN doing this all together. There was no stress ! If there was any issues , we would all say “ OH Shawna will fix it LOL. We had a very lively group text going at all times . No lack of communication! Let me say she had to deal with my ADD . That can be a challenge . SO …. Friends , I literally could not have been any happier with the way the celebration went . There were minimal hiccups if any & everyone had a BLAST & are still talking about it !! ❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: We found Southern Savvy Events through The Knot and it was the best decision we made! Shawna and her team are amazing! We chose them for the day of coordinating, but throughout my whole process of wedding planning Shawna was there checking in and making sure things were going to plan! Once we got closer to the big day she not only was my biggest cheerleader, reassuring me that my vision would come to life but was also there to ease those wedding jitters. Her prompt communication, problem solving skills and organization on our wedding day literally made me feel like she can take the wheel and we could actually enjoy our special day! Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Shawna and her team at SSE. If nothing else, give her a call and check her out. She is as great in the initial call as she was the entire time working with her. She has great referrals too of vendors you might need but doesn’t push you at all to use them. However, I will say I used 2 of them and her knowing them made my day even easier and both vendors she recommend were great! She had other benefits to working with her as well that she can tell you about when you speak. I want to add day of wedding, she did an amazing job setting up all my decor! It looked perfect!!! During the ceremony & reception she made everything so easy for me and took care of everything! I can’t say enough positive things about working with SSE!

Fantastic experience: I don't think I can express just how much of an angel Shawna and her whole team are! From the very beginning Shawna was so patient with me and my thousands of questions that would just pop up. Not only was her services impeccable, but we also got to use her decorations and bar tender services which just made everything so much easier. She was my one stop shop for just about everything. She honestly made the entire planning process so easy. Now the biggest props to her for the actual day. She made sure we all were running on time and everyone was where they needed to be. Fantastic experience: Shawna was so helpful! Our venue didn’t require a coordinator, but she was by far the best investment in out day! Everything was on schedule and ran so smoothly. We hired her for day of coordinator but she did so much more, and was available from the moment we decided to work with her. My Fiancés grandmother was unable to make it and Shawna made sure to get the entire ceremony recorded for her, and we didn’t even know until afterwards. Shawna also brought an enormous kit for emergencies, helped when my sisters dress broke before the ceremony, and decorated our cake for us!

Fantastic experience: Shawna was Terrific. I found Shawna at the wedding fair in New Braunfels. She was very pleasant and easy to talk to and seemed equally excited I was getting married. I booked her for partial planning and decorations set up. Since I booked her far out from my wedding day she checked in monthly. Through out the year she was available for questions when needed and was even able to help with vendors. The week of my wedding She had everything under control I did not have to worry about anything, she reassured me and checked in on me. The day of my wedding went smoothly as well. I only had my nerves to worry about. I would absolutely recommend her to a couple getting married if they want a stress or worry free wedding.

I got married at Spinelli's in Comfort this summer and Shawna and her assistant Treasure were absolutely FAB-U-LOUS! Everything was run so smoothly and efficiently! Shawna is so organized and direct, of course it was a crazy day and there were a million little decisions that needed to be made or decided, when my family/bridal party asked me questions I was able to just direct them to Shawna. She handled all of the details, which was SO HELPFUL for me, especially as a 'Type B' bride LOL! My family was especially impressed with her ability to delegate tasks and keep the pressure off of me! Every time we talk about my wedding someone mentions how amazing our coordinators were! I will 100% be using Savvy Southern Events for any future events, and I have even had family and bridal party members say they need her when they get married!
