They were clearly there to not only make things go smoothly, but also to help the events focus be on what God was doing in our lives. The two meetings we had beforehand, the endless emails, and the huge planning document were a lot to deal with, but Brooke was an amazing help. They were worth the expense and time. Fantastic experience: Double Blessing Events was an absolute gift throughout our wedding planning process. We hired them to plan and coordinate our wedding, and I truly cannot imagine the day without them. Danae was my primary planner, and she went above and beyond in every way. She met with us on-site multiple times and worked through the logistics of a venue that had never hosted a wedding before. She thought of every detail, asked all the right questions (including the ones we didn’t know to ask), and prepared everything so thoroughly that the wedding day felt seamless and stress-free. Fantastic experience: I worked alongside Denae as a wedding vendor(hair & makeup) & as someone who works heavily with coordinators, Double Blessing Events is THEE BEST! Extremely organized, professional, attentive & even though she is located in Dallas & the wedding was in Houston, made sure we all had directions, proper timeline and EXCELLENT communication throughout the whole way for a larger bridal party, our bride also mentioned how she always had the BRIDE & GROOMS best interest! As we know, weddings and family members can be very opinionated and they made sure that everyone knew what was most important was the opinions of the bride in the groom, keeping off the stress level of others opinions. No fancy website - just gets things done. Now we use her for every work event too. Charges half what the 'luxury' planners do but delivers twice the results.

Fantastic experience: Double Blessing Events has the best team of event planners/coordinators. Mel Ewing was our rock for our fusion wedding. She was our head Day of Coordinator for our weekend. We also had Danae at our Christian wedding which was fabulous. We had multiple meetings prior to the big weekend to finalize events. They even have a great spreadsheet which helps keep in line all the details of your event. I did not have to worry about communication with vendors or having to create a timeline of when they needed to arrive to each event. Mel had everything all in line prior to the big day. We were able to show up and just enjoy the wedding weekend. Throughout every event Mel and her team were there checking on my husband and me. She was able to recognize and intercept when we had had enough pictures, always encouraging us to get a bite to eat from plates she created for us, and checked in on us to see how we were holding up. Fantastic experience: Danae planned my bridal shower with me and did a free consultation with my husband and over planning our wedding. I felt at ease when talking with her because I could tell that she had true joy in our upcoming wedding. She was also very detailed and helpful! I wish we had the money to have her plan our wedding as well because everything went smoothly and achieved my vision for the bridal shower - I know that if she would have helped with the wedding as well it would have saved me many stressful hours. (also my husband is a bit picky about planers or people stepping in with our personal decisions and he also really liked her, she had good questions but was not pushy or overbearing, but great at helping us take the right steps to achieve what we wanted)

I assisted at a wedding and was so amazed of how everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) was planned to perfection! There were a few occasions where potential problems from outside sources seemed inevitable, but Danae knew how to handle everything with grace and precision. I would highly recommend Double Blessings Events for any couple who wants a wedding planner who truly cares about making your wedding day beautiful and memorable.

Fantastic experience: I attended an event that Danae hosted and it was well executed. There was a natural flow to the event from time for greetings, games (which were so sweet and fun), gifts and the sharing of encouragement and love to the bride to be. She never seemed stressed or overwhelmed so if something did not go according to plan, I did not notice. Great job!

Fantastic experience: I had the amazing honor and privilege to begin working with Chelsea and Danae! My situation is unique as I am planning my wedding before getting engaged. Neither of them made me feel like what I was doing was too premature but decided to meet me where I am at and I could not be more grateful. What they do is not just a business, it's a ministry. They have a heart for what they do, they love what they do, they are super responsive and have been super helpful in the pre-planning process. They have offered me resources to help me as I plan my wedding. I am so grateful The Lord led me to them and I cannot wait to see how God will continue to move through these amazing women.

Negative experience: We had a negative experience with our wedding coordinator, Tonja. From the very beginning, it was clear she was unprepared and unorganized. She struggled with basic tasks like opening files, had poor communication, and didn't take charge during critical moments. At the rehearsal, I had to step in and lead because Tonja didn't know the timeline or processional order. She barely spoke up, and when I asked her questions, she seemed lost. This was a huge red flag. The wedding day itself was an even bigger mess. Tonja did not take action when we needed her most. When the ground needed to be dried from the rain prior to the ceremony, my parents and the groom's aunt were drying the ground themselves, while Tonja stood by and texted the groom instead of stepping in to solve the problem. Reserved seating signs weren’t correctly placed, guests had to be moved just minutes before the ceremony, and worst of all, I was sent down the aisle without my bouquet and had to have my dad run back to get it! How does that happen with TWO coordinators right at the door? We were so flustered having to time our walk down the aisle ourselves, that this was missed. On top of that, Tonja didn’t know who anyone was and assigned tasks to the Mother of the Groom. The groomsmen had to handle cooler transportation, even though that was part of Double Blessing's responsibility. There were constant issues and miscommunications throughout the day. Many of our other vendors even complained about her lack of professionalism. We specifically chose Double Blessings for the high praise of Chelsey, but we were left stuck with another planner (who left the company) and then Tonja after a second switch. We tried to give her a chance, but she was completely incapable of handling the job. It's clear that she’s not suited for wedding coordination. The entire experience was embarrassing and stressful. Instead of owning the situation, Chelsey sent a 16 page document defending their actions. She failed to address what actually matters: performance where rubber meets the road. Rather, she defended Tonja's "attempts". Bottom line: Double Blessings failed to execute & effectively coordinate the basics of wedding rehearsal and wedding day duties. No points for "trying".

Fantastic experience: If you are even slightly thinking of hiring a coordinator, DO IT! Even for our small wedding of 50 people, having DBE was a GOD SEND! I am very type A, I love a plan, organization, but I also wanted to be able to relax on a potentially stressful day. The day went EXACTLY as we planned with the help of DBE. From the moment I submitted an inquiry all the way through the honeymoon, the women at DBE were there for me. They are more than just a vendor, they became friends. My husband and I genuinely felt that they cared for us as people. It can be difficult to trust someone to help you plan your big day, but I would 100/10 recommend DBE to anyone who is planning an event. They listened to all of our stories, got in touch with anyone who could possibly need to know details of the day, and were amazingly flexible with work schedules. Fantastic experience: All I have to say is wow. We are a filmmaking team and we’ve worked with many different wedding planners and planning teams over the years but we’ve never worked with anyone like Chelsey and her team before. The amount of detail, intentionality, organization and love they give to their couples and us vendors is incomparable. Fantastic experience: Chelsey and Danae were absolutely amazing! I was the videographer on an event with them and they recorded a video for me breaking down the day to make sure I was prepared beforehand, and paid special attention to details I never considered before such as making sure the A/C was off for the couple's "dancing on the cloud"! Because of them, everything ran smoothly down to the finest details.

She reviewed contracts, provided Vendor suggestions as needed and helped create a detailed timeline in coordination with the Venue Coordinator, Photographer and DJ. She communicated important details to the Wedding Party and Family, and she helped us feel confident that we did not forget anything important. Rehearsal: When leading the Rehearsal and interacting with Wedding Party, Family and Officiant, Danae handled matters with confidence and authority without being overbearing. We were especially grateful for her input in managing the Wedding Processional since the Ceremony was outside. Ceremony and Reception: Danae’s calm presence added to the JOY of a totally JOYFUL day. She worked well with the Photographers, Videographer and DJ to make sure everyone was in place and on schedule. We were so grateful she handled gratuities at the end of the evening. The greatest compliment I can give a wedding coordinator is that we were not worried about ANY of the details. The whole day unfolded exactly as we had hoped and prayed for -- a fabulous and memorable event!

Fantastic experience: Danae was my Day-Of Coordinator for my December wedding--and man, did she deliver. Responsible, organized, prepared, reliable - she really took the time to understand everything about my wedding and reception, my desires concerning the details of the event as well as vendor requirements, processes and limitations. Though she was the day-of coordinator, she worked diligently behind the scenes days in advance not only to make sure she and her team would be prepared -- but also to ensure that the vendors were provided all necessary details so that they would also be ready to go for the big day. If you're looking for a gal who will read the fine print (yes, she reads your contracts to make sure all your t's are crossed and i's dotted), execute your instructions / details concerning the event to a T, act as an assertive/respectful/effective liaison between you and your vendors, Danae is your gal. I have found that she is highly skilled and incredibly efficient at what she does...she will put together the wedding of your dreams / imagination if you will give her the chance. Because of Danae, I was able to truly RELAX on my wedding day (from the ceremony to the reception--to the final send-off), knowing that she would be taking care of all the logistics of the day. And she did - from activity to activity and transition to transition, Danae and her team took care of it all. From our first inquiry phone call with them to after the wedding, Danae and Chelsey went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was everything we ever wanted! Danae was awesome! She was extremely encouraging and checked in throughout our engagement season just to see how she could be praying for us and if there was anything she could do for us. Additionally, she knew exactly what needed to be done and helped guide us through things we would have never thought we would need to do in preparation for our wedding. Our favorite thing about hiring Danae was that she fielded all of the questions from family members and messaged them what they needed to bring and where they needed to be so we didn’t have to worry about anything in the days leading up to the wedding. From the beginning, I knew that having someone to help would be so important for our wedding (and my anxiety), but we couldn’t seem to find the perfect coordinator. We only hired her as a Month of Coordinator with a year in advance but can I tell you Chelsey was ALWAYS open for your texts, concerns, questions, tasks, etc. She Never put our contract above my needs. As a Covid bride we had to change our Original date and I was heartbroken. Chelsey remembered our original date. She sent me and my now husband a personalized video from her wishing us the best, render emotional support, and prayed for us. She consistently would check up on me not just for Wedding stuff but for emotional support as well during Covid season. She will always ask you if there is anything she can do for you. Little things like that meant the World to me. Day of the Wedding: Brides don't let Chelsey's bubbly and nice personality fool you that she's too nice to handle your Wedding. Ohhh Noo this girl can handle her business and you truly need someone like that. She was all hands on deck. She was always calm and collected but very focused on the task on hand, the timeline, the vendors, etc. She made it all easy for me. She executed herself in a very Professional manner. Fantastic experience: Chelsey with Double Blessing was amazing!! On the day of our wedding, we didn't have to worry about anything. She took all of the stress of the day off. We didn't even know until way later that our caterer was actually running almost an hour late and she snuck them around the back quietly to set up right after our ceremony had already started. But of course, she didn't stress us out with this! She handled things so professionally and quickly and we didn't have to worry about a thing. She helped us through so much of the thinking and planning leading up to the big day - whether to have an outdoor ceremony or indoor, and coordinated the decorating, met every vendor that day and helped them get in position and set up, managed our tips, helped us adjust our timeline of the night on the fly (we moved up our departure from the reception by an hour because people we leaving earlier than expected - we were totally fine with that! And we got to leave early too! Wouldn't have been able to make that decision without her!), and she coordinated the clean up effort! Seriously, the most stress free day. All I had to worry about was arriving, getting ready, and getting hitched!
