Experiencia fantástica: From our first conversation with Hala, we knew Hala was the one. Having an experienced, skilled, and knowledgeable wedding planner who has built all the right connections like Hala made all the difference in our wedding planning process. All the vendors absolutely loved working with Hala. She found us amazing vendors for food, decor, DJ, makeup, etc. She negotiated great deals, especially for our hotel rates. She was receptive to all our ideas and helped make them happen. She was always responsive and met with us as often as we needed/wanted. I cannot overstate how much we loved working with Hala and how she made our wedding planning process easy and stress-free. On a personal level, Hala is kind, organized, and a truly lovely human being. HIGHLY recommend working with her!

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately, we did not have the most positive experience with Hala as our planner for our recent Wedding. We were initially very excited as it seemed Hala had the experience and said all the right things during the calls prior to signing. When we brought on Hala, we already had most of our vendors signed and just needed her help to complete the planning and primarily with the logistics / execution of the wedding weekend. During the planning process, we had issues with responsiveness (there were many instances where emails / texts were never addressed and we had to follow up on items numerous times). Less than a month prior to our event, we didn't receive responses for an entire week and was later told that the team's emails were hacked. We would've appreciated a text or call to let us know about this. We also did not have success getting recommendations for vendors. For example, we originally needed an outdoor dance floor and Hala provided one vendor and quote (which was twice what we ended up paying by just doing the research ourselves). We ended up just searching for all outstanding vendors on our own as we wanted to ensure we were getting the best ones for our value. Hala put together an agenda for the wedding, however we would find many mistakes on each iteration of the agenda. She sent out a final version to all vendors without running it past us first and we found out it had incorrectly listed many important details. We asked her to fix the updates, but she was unwilling to send out an updated final version to all our vendors. We were pushing Hala for weeks to discuss a rain plan which she ignored. We did not want to deal with the contingency plan week of the wedding, but unfortunately Hala was unwilling until the last minute. We ended up losing a significant amount of money because we had to move the event indoors and Hala had not discussed with the venue if we could use their dance floor inside until 2 days before the event, when the venue was unable to arrange for labor last minute. We had to pay for another dance floor costing us extra. We ended up having to talk directly with multiple vendors during the week of our wedding for various reasons that we would've expected to have been worked out in advance by the planner. It was extremely stressful to deal with while we were trying to enjoy what should be the best week of our lives. During the wedding itself, the biggest issue was that Hala understaffed her team. Prior to signing the contract, she had told us numerous times that there would be 4 people on her team at ALL times during the weekend. Most of the times, there were 2 or 3. We had asked MANY times for a schedule of when her team members would arrive / leave and she refused to share this with us. This was extremely unprofessional. Her lead team members, Jennifer and Mo, were incredibly kind and tried their best to help. However, Hala had not put them in a position to succeed by 1) understaffing her team, 2) refusing to let us meet with the team beforehand to run through all the details, and 3) having a non-detailed final agenda sheet / floor plans with incorrect / missing information. There were many instances where it was VERY apparent we needed more people helping out, especially during the baraat (when groom side and bride side need separate coordination) and during the ceremony. Our guests would be texting us when / where they needed to go and it was very chaotic. We heard from many guests of certain things going wrong that should have been addressed by the planners and it was very disappointing to hear. We were lucky and grateful that our other vendors were absolutely incredible. However, the planner is one of the most important ones and can make or break the experience. We are disappointed Hala did not stick to her word and did not put in enough time / effort into planning. We reached out after the wedding and she did not accept responsibility for a single thing that was an issue during the wedding. Also, she does not live in Texas as it incorrectly states.

Experiencia fantástica: Hala made all my wedding events more than run smoothly. She elevated them to a 5 star level! She knew exactly what my vision was and how to make it all come to life. Beyond the creativity, her exceptional organizational skills were critical to making every event run on time with no hiccups. She coordinated all of our 15+ vendors and negotiated our contracts finding the best talents for our budget. And whenever I felt stressed… she was right there, relaxed and handing me a vodka soda. I can’t recommend her enough!!!!

Hala and her team will add so much value to your experience that you will find they are worth every penny because they not only take all the planning off your plate, but they negotiate so much savings throughout the entire process. We had only 4 months to plan a 250 person Indian wedding weekend, and there is no way we could have done this without Hala and her team. From setting up meetings with all vendors that meet your vision, to ensuring nothing goes wrong during the event Hala is there. We will continue to use Events by Hala for future events in our lives. Experiencia fantástica: I have been a guest at at least 3 events where Events by Hala was the coordinator: 2 were Indian weddings and 1 was a well-known elite fundraiser. Each time, I was witness to a well-coordinated, smooth & seamless production and those who had hired her were well beyond satisfied. Further to this, she is experienced with working with challenging personalities and is able to handle all the various requests/demands that come from the intrusive guests (be it an Aunty, Uncle, etc.) In fact, I have witnessed her assuage a rather demanding church official because she possesses the strong interpersonal & communication skills to listen, respect, and collaborate. I've also seen how strong her relationships are with the vendors. Even though I have not personally used her services (although I've told her that I have her on lock for any potential future event of my own), I can attest to her professionalism and quality of services. She's definitely one of the very best, if not the best of the best.

Experiencia fantástica: Seven years ago, Reena and I were so worn out with wedding planning and all the usual struggles that come with it. Our situation was definitely worse than most due to the terrible job done by our original "planners". On this day, we fired them because we were finally fed up. I reached out to a planner we knew and got an outrageous quote for week of planning. A few people who knew our struggles, separately called on someone they trusted( Hala )to fix our situation. Hala called me and said "Hi! I heard you're having some issues with your wedding planning and I'd like to help. Do you have time to talk right now?" She was a Godsend. She fixed EVERYTHING. For Reena and I, this was a complete 180 from what we had been experiencing. I truly believe in trying to go above and beyond for those who need help. Now are we helpless people struggling to survive? Absolutely not. But I think Hala understood how much stress we were going through and gave us the best gift of all. The ability to enjoy our family and friends being together for our wedding while she took away all the stress. She is such a genuine person and I will never forget that the rest of my life. I definitely keep in her my prayers because doing CARING work like she does is what the world needs. Experiencia fantástica: The pioneers of Indian wedding planning in Dallas Fort Worth. They were the first planning company we worked with in DFW. We have done many weddings together over several years. Some of the biggest and best weddings that Dallas has ever hosted. We have collaborated on many weddings for over a decade and its still a pleasure to work with them. We worked with their team again recently last weekend, January 13th & 14th, 2023 in Frisco, Texas & Plano, Texas. Our next two weddings with them are in Irving, Texas and St. Louis, Missouri. Looking forward to many more fantastic weddings for amazing couples together.

Being able to secure Hala as our wedding planner was by far the best decision we made in our wedding planning experience!! My now husband and I are so impressed by the level of professionalism, attention to detail, and overall positive and upbeat attitude that Hala and her team have displayed from the beginning to the end of our wedding journey. We had an Indian wedding which had 5 events over 3 days. Hala knew the culture/rituals and what works for events like these which was so helpful in our planning process! She is so versatile in doing American weddings, Indian weddings, Middle Eastern weddings etc, she has done it all! In addition, Hala is dedicated to getting to know the couple and exactly what their needs and wants are as well – she is very open and upfront on yes that is a good idea or well we may run into these issues, but we can still try or this is not a good idea. She has years of experience and a network of vendors that help her guide the couple which is nice to have in a pressure situation such as a wedding! She is also always trying to find the next wow factor that other weddings have not done – for us that was the 360 photobooth! It is nice to partner with that innovative energy which will take your wedding to the next level! Furthermore, Hala is also very down to earth, relatable, and truly someone you would stay in touch with after your wedding! She is business and gets the job done and keeps you on track, but at the same time she is on your side and will fight for you on negotiating with vendors/hotels. She is great at what she does and the wedding weekend is reflective of that! We would 110% recommend Events by Hala to anyone!! If you are lucky enough to be chosen by Hala then you are in the best hands and will enjoy your wedding! We were lucky enough to be amongst those couples!

Experiencia fantástica: My fiancé and I are so, so thankful to have Hala guiding us through the wedding planning process. She is calm, organized, creative, and efficient. She communicates quickly and clearly, impressively negotiates contracts on your behalf, and fights on behalf of your vision (and your budget). She also leverages her incredible network of contacts within the industry, helping secure the best vendors. A quick story to demonstrate Hala’s incredible abilities - I had selected, and fallen in love with, a venue and was ready to sign on the dotted line. Fortunately, I asked Hala to review the contract prior to signing... and I am so grateful that I did. She identified several omissions (fees and line items that I did not even know to inquire about) that would have resulted in several, very expensive, last-minute charges. Hala also helped evaluate the ability of the venue’s staff to handle our catering, décor, and layout needs. She candidly warned me that the venue may not be the right fit for our vision. Again, I trusted her judgment, and am so glad that I did. This left us with no venue and only 3 months until our big day! Under normal circumstances, I would have absolutely panicked, but I knew I had Hala at my side. She was able to pivot efforts quickly, made some phone calls, and was able to schedule multiple site visits for alternative venue options within 24 hours. Two days later, we had already selected a new venue and were finalizing contract details! She is an incredible ally and resource, and I cannot imagine navigating the wedding planning process without her!

Experiencia negativa: We had a very mixed experience with Events by Hala. There were many positives - Hala has extensive experience with Indian weddings, great relationships with vendors (saving time and money), and her services are a great value for the price she charges. We hired Hala as a “month of coordinator” but she offered to help from the day I hired her (about 7 months before the wedding), which was extremely helpful. Unfortunately, we had a number of issues on the actual wedding weekend. Hala was unable to attend in person, which we learned about ~1 month before the wedding, and assigned a back up coordinator from her staff. First, the coordinator showed up ~30 minutes late to our only meeting a week before the wedding. During the rehearsal dinner, the coordinator covered her role and the venue floor plan but no other specifics and stated that she wasn’t actually familiar with our venue. There was no coordination with our Baraat so my family, fiancé, and I were receiving texts / calls from guests asking where to go and what to do. Before the ceremony, there was no staging for me, my bridesmaids, or parents and the coordinator was unaware of the procession order (despite having it on a detailed agenda), and was asking the bridal party what needed to happen. Needless to say, things became chaotic. After the ceremony, the coordinator drove me back to the hotel to change, but got lost on the way. I got back after all of my bridesmaids who had walked from the venue. The reception went more smoothly but given all that had already gone wrong, we had a tough time being able to relax and enjoy ourselves. We spoke to Hala about what happened and how we felt after the wedding. While we do appreciate how she handled the situation after the fact, we are really disappointed by how certain elements of our wedding turned out given how much time, thought, and effort we had put into it.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience working with Hala for a large wedding at the Sheraton at the Dallas Galeria. Hala and her staff were calm under pressure, pleasant, and professional. I found her easy to work with and I highly recommend her services.

Experiencia negativa: We worked an event and was hired by the brides mother - Hala was the event planner. We were direct by the brides mother to work with her. She returned only half the documentation we needed back to us while leaving out key venue information. Once we arrive at the popular dallas hotel we attempted to call her and was hung up on so we were forced to pay for parking and work with uncooperative hotel staff. Upon meeting Hala she stated that she sent an email to us stating the event details and a parking voucher - an email we never received! I let her know that we already paid for parking and we would like to be reimbursed. While put on the spot in front of others, she refused - insisting she sent an email with a voucher. My overall experience with Hala is she looked stressed and over worked from planning this couples event from morning. Whatever it was, as a vendor we did not deserve to be the bearer of her biting more than she could chew.
