We decided to have a smaller wedding and opted to just have a day-of coordinator. However, we got so much more than we could ever expect! From the first call, Shaunte came with incredible energy, listened and absorbed our vision, and provided so much comfort. It was an easy decision to choose her the moment we met. A month before the wedding, we really got to see Shaunte shine! She checked in on us, communicated and handled everything with vendors, and thought of every little detail that we would’ve never thought of. She made the month before stress-free, really allowing us to enjoy the final weeks of planning. Then the wedding day came! We didn’t think Shaunte could get any better, but boy did she exceed even those expectations! From the very start of the day, Shaunte handled everything, brought our vision to life, and honestly made our wedding dreams come true. However, the thing that really stood out was the presence that Shaunte brought. Our parents all commented on how she felt like part of the family in the best way possible. Professionally, creatively, and emotionally, Shaunte and her team SHOWED UP and we are forever grateful for her.

Experiencia fantástica: We worked with Melanie at So Smitten for our October 2024 wedding and cannot say enough positive things! We went with the Darling Design Silver package (design + day-of coordination) and Melanie was thoughtful, creative, and a joy to work with! The spreadsheets helped us stay organized and sane and Melanie came to each design meeting bursting with ideas (while being a great listener to our ideas as well). Her generosity, professionalism, and enthusiasm made the planning process stress-free and our wedding day truly memorable. Even with a small hiccup with our videography day-of, our wedding day was PERFECT because Melanie handled everything like a pro (and we did not even know anything went wrong until the next day). I cannot think of a better compliment than this!

Experiencia fantástica: Obsessed is an understatement when it comes to the experience I had with So Smitten. I’m convinced I looked into every single planner in southern California, and after my chat with our coordinator, Ben, I knew I found our perfect match. From our first conversation to the day after the wedding, Ben was so attentive and helpful. From asking for advice on art projects to panicking about candle rentals, Ben quickly answered all of my emails. Once I hired So Smitten, I didn’t feel like I was blindly planning a wedding on my own anymore. Their extremely detailed spreadsheets were also a huge selling point for me. There isn’t a checklist I could find on Google that could compare, So Smitten makes sure not a single detail could be missed. I didn’t think I could trust anyone other than myself to run my wedding day, but Ben made sure all of my hard work went off without a hitch(as far as the guests know), and I couldn’t ask for anything more! The rest of our day-of team was so kind, coming in with the best attitude, making our guests feel welcomed, and showering me with compliments throughout the night! I really hope they know how much their presence meant to me at the end of the night. Don’t even get me started on Melanie, their in-house florist, having her there was a godsend, so I would highly suggest getting her on your vendor team as well. As much as I don’t want to get married again, I’d love an excuse to work with So Smitten again! I will be recommending them to all my future engaged friends!

The resources they provided leading up to the event, specifically their very comprehensive spreadsheets and questionnaires, did so much to make sure we had every element of our wedding accounted for. Especially in the month leading up the event, Chantelle met with us frequently to go over the many small adjustments to the timeline and item lists to help us stay on track. The day of the event went so smoothly and relatively stress-free, with Chantelle and her team handling all the vendors and any issues that came up, and she did a lot to make sure we had drinks in our hands and food on our plates, letting us really enjoy our day. Definitely hire So Smitten to coordinate your event!

Her organization skills were unmatched—everything from our timeline to the little details was well coordinated. She kept us on track and made sure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to truly enjoy our special day without any stress. One of the things that really stood out was her quick thinking when an unexpected hiccup occurred. The boutonnieres were accidentally forgotten, but Angelica didn't miss a beat! She immediately came up with a creative solution and made beautiful boutonnieres on the fly. It was such a relief knowing she could handle any curveball thrown her way, all while keeping a calm, positive demeanor. Angelica is not only incredibly professional but also warm, kind, and easy to work with. She truly cares about her clients and goes above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. I felt like I was in the best hands throughout the entire planning process, and I couldn’t be more grateful for her help in making our wedding day unforgettable.

She is incredibly organized and has the most beautiful spreadsheets to utilize throughout the wedding planning process to make sure everything gets done in a timely manner and nothing is forgotten. The day of our wedding, she coordinated everything perfectly and was there to put out any fires that arose. She helped make sure everyone had the best time and made sure everything ran smoothly. She made sure I ate, made sure I got photos at certain times, pulled us for the cake cutting, and sorted everything out when someone arrived with a date who was not invited. She is also just a wonderful human, very kind and easy to talk to, which made the wedding planning process that much easier and enjoyable. Finally, she helped us with the final rentals we needed and helped bring things to the venue and make sure it was all set up for us. We love her so much and highly recommend her for all your planning needs.

They have many packages available that make it easy to scale up or down how much involvement you want from them. However, we want to in particular speak to the remarkable work that our wedding coordinator Shaunte did. Throughout the planning process, Shaunte was our rock, a great sounding board when it comes to logistics, aesthetics, and the practicality of how we wanted our wedding to be. She always reassured us in our decisions and she always came with thoughtful suggestions when we were stumped. She never steered us wrong in any part of the process. On our wedding day, Shaunte was incredibly organized and calm in the face of some unexpected delays and surprises caused by our guests. She was always on top of things and quick on her feet to make sure our day went smoothly. After our wedding, we faced some difficulties with our venue with unexpected billing that we were not prepared for. Even though their duties were over, Shaunte and So Smitten stuck with us to help us communicate with the venue about resolving the issue. My spouse and I were truly in awe about their integrity, kindness, and their absolute desire to help their clients. I honestly have no idea how we would have handled our wedding day without them.

Experiencia fantástica: I have so many wonderful things to say about Marni I'm not sure where to start. Planning an out of state wedding, during a pandemic, was not easy. With the help of So Smitten Events we were able to pull it off without any hiccups. From the moment we hired her I knew we were in good hands. We got married on May 28, 2021 so stress levels were high in the months prior. Marni was organized, professional and so responsive. Right after we booked her, more than a year out, we had our first planning meeting. She was able to answer all of my (MANY) questions and really helped me to feel less stressed in general. Throughout the year, I could always count on her to answer questions promptly, with great suggestions and ideas. My only regret is that is that I only hired her for day of coordination WITHOUT design consultation including tablescape planning. If I were to do it again, I would have upgraded my package. I think it would have been worth it. On the day, my husband (who initially said we did not need a wedding planner) was so impressed with Marni and her team. He has said several times how great she was and that he was so glad we had her. If So Smitten is on your short list, snatch them up!

Experiencia fantástica: We got married on May 19th in Redondo Beach. We hired So Smitten for the day-of coordination package, and Marni was soooo helpful from the moment we hired her. She was readily available for questions by email, always had a helpful answer to everything, and was always friendly and supportive. We had two ceremonies back-to-back, an Indian ceremony followed by a Western one, and then a reception all in the same day, so the day was a long one to say the least and her company proved invaluable to making the day perfect. For planning, Marni drafted a day-of timeline way in advance, which was very useful when starting to work with our multiple vendors who would be working at different times of the day. She has you fill out this epic spreadsheet that is so crucial and helpful to making the day perfect, and no detail is left uncovered. She took a fantastic leadership role at our walk-through meeting with the venue and made sure that all the logistics made sense. On the day of the wedding, we had friends and family commenting to us how amazing Marni and her staff were and how magically smooth the day ran. We were so happy to know on the morning of the wedding that Marni and her team were there for us and that we could let go and focus on the magic of the day. Even at the end of a very long day, they continued to be amazing, as they packed everything of importance into our cars very well and made sure we were all set before leaving. If you are not sure if you need a wedding coordinator, we highly recommend doing so. We don’t know how things would have all come together as wonderfully as they did without Marni and her team!

Experiencia fantástica: Marni is the absolute best! My wife and I had our wedding on June 10th of this year and it would not have happened as smoothly nor been as wonderful as it was if not for Marni. My wife and I went into the whole process of planning our wedding with only the vaguest of ideas of what we wanted. We had a rough budget, we knew we wanted good food, we wanted to be in Los Angeles, and we wanted cake. That's pretty much it. For over a year, Marni was with us for each step of the way, gently prodding us along and giving suggestions and recommendations to help point us towards shaping our dream wedding. And since we are currently in St. Louis, she would organize things to cram as many meetings as possible for the weekends we went out there to visit and acted as our representative for times we couldn't go out there. She kept us organized and always let us know what we had to do and when we had to do it. I'm not quite sure how I'll live without that much structure in my life anymore, honestly! Plus, Marni is a fabulous person to work with. She always listened to what we wanted, gave us ideas when we weren't so sure, and in general was a great person to talk to and plan with. She's exactly the sort of person you want by your side during the long wedding planning process. The week of the wedding was all structured chaos. Everything seemed to be happening so quickly, but Marni was there with a detailed timeline for each important day. Everything somehow got done exactly as she had planned it and it was awesome. I'm still not quite sure how she did it honestly, but she worked her magic behind the scenes and my wife and I were married and partied without ever having to worry, because she had kept us on track and we knew we were in good hands. Basically, Marni is the best. If you want to not stress too much (you'll always stress a little bit) you should definitely call on her for any big event you have. She is magic and my wife and I are both so incredibly grateful to have met and worked with her.
