Experiencia fantástica: When I was researching wedding planners for my daughter's wedding, Alyssa Jean was the first wedding planner I called. After speaking with Alyssa on the phone, I immediately booked her, she was that impressive. I live in Chicago and my daughter lives in Connecticut, where the wedding took place. Experiencia fantástica: Where to start? Two words, HIRE HER! Alyssa nailed every aspect of our wedding from the initial meetings, stressful decisions, and execution of the event. She kept our minds at ease at all times. Alyssa has such great attention to detail, and I truly mean that. There were so many moments after meetings with venders that I thought “wow, would’ve never thought to ask that!” - she thinks of everything! We always felt 100% confident leaving everything in Alyssa’s hands. The entire planning process was made so easy and FUN, everything was so organized, from our vision board, to when we had to pay vendors, to what the next steps were. Her communication was flawless, we must’ve contacted her 500 times the week of the wedding about tiny details and without hesitation, she was there. The day of was absolute perfection, we did not have to worry about a single thing. I was truly able to live in the moment. I’m a writer for work and I am worried I still won’t find the exact words to describe how perfectly she planned our wedding, but I’m sure going to try… From our first conversation, I knew Alyssa was the right fit for us. We had 8 months to plan our wedding, we were paying for the majority of it ourselves, I have a demanding job, and I have zero friends nearby to help—and did I mention I’m type A and more than a little specific about what I want? I was worried that Alyssa might think I was a control freak who wouldn’t let her do her job…but it was the exact opposite. Alyssa made every planning call a fun one, amped me up for the wedding, and reminded me to focus on the important things like marrying my husband, not a little snafu that may come up! I have to note that she was also EXTREMELY conscious of my budget and didn’t present one vendor that was outside of it…she also let me know where to spend and where to save, which is key when you don’t have an unlimited budget! Well, we just got married last week and we have heard from several guests that it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to, no doubt all having to do with Alyssa’s impeccable attention to detail to bring our vision to life, ability to keep everything on track, and the amazing vendors she recommended. I’m normally an anxious person and throughout the process, Alyssa kept me feeling like everything was covered (because it was, she misses nothing!). We even had a venue where every single fork, spoon, and glass had to be rented and I can’t even tell you how impressed I was with her communication with the venue, the caterer, and the rental companies, in addition to other vendors. The day of the wedding, I was calm as soon as I saw her because I knew everything would be spot-on. Alyssa, I kind of wish we could do it all over again! Hire her and I guarantee you will not only have an absolutely beautiful wedding, but so much fun along the way!!

From the onset, when we were inquiring different wedding planners, Alyssa was the most enthusiastic, asking us what we wanted the day to be like. Alyssa's clear passion for ensuring that her couples have the most memorable weekend was felt throughout the entire 1.5+ year we worked with her. For instance, I was abroad when we were choosing many of our vendors and our venue, and the venue and the vendors she recommended couldn't have been more perfect. She understood our vision immediately and executed it seamlessly, from the small details like frames for table numbers to incorporating elements of Korean and Jewish traditions. Furthermore, our wedding was fairly complicated and extensive, with rehearsal dinner + welcome drinks on Friday, ceremony + reception + afterparty on Saturday, and then a farewell brunch on Sunday, and everything was extremely smooth. Many of our attendees commented that this was by far the best wedding that they had gone to! We were able to truly let go of the small things and have an incredible time--and I say this as one of the most type-A, detail oriented person! In addition to her superb aesthetic sensibilities and ability to execute complicated logistical matters, Alyssa is by far the most responsive person I've worked with. I've worked in consulting, and my now-husband is a lawyer, and we were both amazed by her excellent communication: it's now to the point where my email turnaround standards have become completely skewed. Even when we were dealing with some unexpected circumstances (as one does in a wedding), Alyssa was incredibly helpful and communicative, staying one step ahead of us. Alyssa was also quite honest with us in terms of budget: weddings can be quite expensive, and Alyssa advised us on what was worth splurging on and what was not--and what the going market was. Beyond her excellent capabilities: Alyssa is truly a remarkable and caring person, and it's been our honor to work with her. One of our vendors mentioned that Alyssa was by far the best planner and person to work with, and how lucky we were. We absolutely agree! We will miss her dearly--we cannot recommend enough working with her. You will have the most fantastic wedding!

We had a large, kind of complicated wedding with a 3pm church ceremony, 6pm reception at a ballroom where Alyssa and our vendors only had 1 hour to flip the room from the previous wedding and Alyssa handled it all seamlessly! I leaned on Alyssa quite a bit for design advice (florals, stationery, rentals, etc) and the final product was stunning! We got so many compliments on how beautiful the church and ballroom looked. We knew we wanted to make the day not only beautiful, but convenient for our guests - but as two pretty busy professionals it became too much very quickly. Alyssa was amazing. After just 1 meeting, she had our look sorted, existing vendors lined up, new vendors identified, and orders all squared away. She kept us on track from a timing perspective, had informed recommendations for every question we asked and ensured nothing slipped through the cracks. She was beyond professional to work with and gave us a peace-of-mind we wouldn’t have had otherwise – and we weren’t the only ones who noticed. I needed help streamlining everything as well as organizing myself and all of my vendors so that nothing got missed, and Alyssa did it seamlessly. Because of covid I was afraid there would be a lot of changes with our venue, but Alyssa had a back up plan for everything and that made me feel so much at ease. Since we used a private residence instead of a venue, Alyssa helped essentially build a venue at the house! She thought of everything and it all came together perfectly. She answered every single question and even provided suggestions we hadn’t even thought of yet. She was so kind and understanding and professional. I came to Alyssa literally 2/3 months before my wedding (which had been rescheduled multiple times), during COVID times, in the end of July of 2020, looking to get married on October 17th. My husband and I decided to do a black tie back yard event at one of my family's homes. Considering the work that goes into creating a venue, I was honestly nervous. To top it all off, it was set to downpour on our wedding day. Let me tell you something - not only was Alyssa flexible (because of rain we decided to add a tent floor to our main tent literally 1 day before it went up), but she was a pro and meticulous. Alyssa was punctual with calls, she would text, and honestly - mostly of all - she would handle things behind the scene without ever having to bring me on the rollercoaster - something that I definitely could have not handled, and she knew it. Not only did we add a tent floor 1 day before it went up, we also added a 2nd tent for cocktail hour, again 1 day before it went up. She clearly has great relationships with vendors, and was able to get everything done that we needed in record timing, and coerce vendors through those relationships to get things done that we never could have on our own. She is sweet, thoughtful, and just plain damn good at her job. On the day of our wedding, I probably saw her for all of 10 minutes (in a good way!) and I will say this - something that many of our guests mentioned after our party - the day went without a hiccup. There was no awkward lull in the events of that day, our tent looked INCREDIBLE, we made last minute decisions that ended up looking like we thought about them for a year, and I just simply couldn't have been happier. She is worth every penny.

Will make your wedding ideas into reality. Long version: I honestly do not think our wedding would have been as elegant, beautiful and well put together if we had not hired Alyssa. Since our engagement, I knew I would need help in planning such a big event. Both my husband and I lived in Boston and I was in school -- I could not imagine trying to plan a 150-guest wedding by myself all the while attempting to study, attending to medical rotations and trying to stay sane. The venue we chose to get married at actually recommended Alyssa and since our first phone call together, she was already ahead of the ball. From there on out, Alyssa made this whole process less daunting and less stressful. She took the ideas I had for what I wanted in my wedding and made is blossom into reality. The vendors she suggested were not only based on our price range but also with our personality. If I needed any opinions or suggestions on certain things, Alyssa was always there to help me. Her timeline made this process seamless, fun and exciting! Then COVID hit. There was a lot of uncertainty worldwide, most definitely in the wedding world. With me having a type-A personality, having this pause and not knowing what would happen in the upcoming months was terrifying. Alyssa always kept us in the loop of what was going on and was there to support us. When we decided to move forward with the wedding but decrease the number of guests, it was like re-planning the wedding all over again. But the stress factor was still at a minimum because Alyssa took the reins and made the process just as seamless as she did before. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and a lot of it was due to Alyssa’s hard work and expertise in this field. The whole day went smoothly, and we did not have to think about a single thing other than simply enjoying ourselves on our day. I cannot thank her enough for making this day happen, especially during a pandemic. Her attentiveness, organizational skills, her communication is more than phenomenal. The way our wedding turned out could not have been done without her, the vendors she had suggested and the venue. I am still in awe of the result. Alyssa, thank you, thank you, thank you! My now husband and I hired Alyssa for full planning of our big November 2021 wedding at the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic (thinking that the pandemic would surely be over by summer of 2020....joke is on us). I had actually found Alyssa from her reviews online and I now know why her reviews are all amazing - it's because she is amazing! From our first conversation, I knew Alyssa was going to be the best decision we made for our wedding and she certainly was. She was so on top of things and set out a clear plan for the planning process from day 1. We immediately felt comfortable with her and trusted her as if we'd known her forever. For the next few months, Alyssa worked closely with us to identify the best vendors for us based on our vision and personalities and I have to say, she nailed our vendor selections! All of the vendors she recommended to us were perfect and I am still amazed at how well she was able to read us as a couple and select people that would be the perfect fit for us and our vision of our day. A review about Alyssa would be incomplete if I didn't comment on the super human planning powers that she has in rescheduling weddings! My husband and I are probably one of the few couples that actually moved their wedding up to 2020 in the middle of a global pandemic and we could not have done this without her. When I emailed her to tell her that my husband (who is in the military) would start deploying again sooner than we anticipated, Alyssa jumped right in and made our dream wedding happen.....3 weeks later!!! I have to be honest and say that most of our friends and family thought we were crazy and thought there was no way we could make a wedding happen in 3 weeks, but Alyssa did it. We knew to trust her when she said "I promise you, I can do this" and she was not wrong! I cannot begin to convey to you how amazing Alyssa was with moving our wedding up and coordinating all of our vendors and a full wedding in a 3 week time span. As if coordinating our wedding in 3 weeks wasn't stressful enough, there was also a potential hurricane coming and Alyssa jumped right in to determine what options we would have given the impending weather combined with COVID-19 restrictions and handles everything with grace. She was the best sounding board throughout this process and we could not have had the day we had without her! On the day of the wedding, you would have had no idea we just moved our wedding up 3 weeks ago because everything was perfect! Everything went off without a hitch and was so beautifully designed. I am actually still amazed how Alyssa designed our perfect wedding day when I couldn't even articulate exactly what I was looking for, but when I walked in the room the day of our wedding everything EXCEEDED my expectations. If you're considering hiring a planner do it and hire Alyssa. You absolutely will not regret your decision. She will be our go to planner for all events as long as we are in the New England area and I know she will also be yours if you work with her for your wedding. Wow! In simple terms – HIRE HER! You will not be disappointed. Alyssa helped us navigate the difficult terrain of a wedding in a pandemic, in a different state than bride’s family, on private land, multiple vendors and an elaborate set-up of the venue. She did this with the utmost poise, kindness and professional guidance. At one point in the Spring when the pandemic hit, I (MOB) could not move, let alone make a decision regarding the wedding. Alyssa called, set up a meeting with our daughter and me and provided the expertise and know-how for the next steps. This allowed our wedding team (FOB, groom, bride and I) to regain confidence and actually enjoy the final months of the wedding process. Throughout Alyssa fielded multiple questions, supplied resources, gave suggestions and was at the ready at every turn. We luckily hired Alyssa to run the rehearsal dinner as well, and she did a remarkable job, taking care of every detail and attending to all the bride’s wishes (even picking up tablecloths from a vendor in Connecticut!). Alyssa was extremely efficient at all meetings and worked seamlessly with the vendors. I can truly say my daughter and I relaxed the month of the wedding as we watched Alyssa take over. She had everything under control, asked the right questions, ordered the final counts of everything, set the detailed agenda and made sure everything was set. Alyssa also went above and beyond her job description making the wedding just the way we imagined it. She offered to tie the ribbons on the napkins for the reception the night before, helped with the bridal bouquet at the last moment and made sure all the technical systems were running flawlessly (such as ordering additional power for the ceremony musicians). Alyssa internalized our vision and made it happen! Everyone at the wedding said how wonderful it all was and how it went on without a single hiccup! We agreed. Alyssa planned each minute of the wedding; day of and night before, coordinating with the photographer, videographer, band, caterer, etc. I can truly say as parents of the bride we enjoyed the wedding tremendously! She is a true professional, very detail oriented and an absolute pleasure to work with. We had a small daytime brunch wedding (less than 65 people), and in the course of our introductory planning calls, she really took the time to understand our vision and overall vibe, and she stepped in seamlessly to coordinate with all our vendors, drive our final venue walk through and site arrangements, and sort out every last detail. When I say every last detail, I really mean it – I think my mom’s mind was blown when she asked our venue coordinator how they would fold the napkins at each place setting. In all seriousness, Alyssa thought of absolutely everything, and gave great suggestions and advice on several last-minute changes that came up. Alyssa communicated very clearly with me as well as each of our vendors and members of the wedding party so that everything went smoothly on the day of. She has a great eye for detail, including setting up all our personal décor the morning of the wedding, and I truly was able to relax and enjoy the day only because she made everything run so smoothly. I could not be more grateful to her for being such a rockstar on the day of, and I would highly recommend her to anyone – my husband has already been joking that if we ever do this wedding thing again, she will be the first person we call!

Experiencia fantástica: When I got engaged in July 2019, I already knew a few things - my engagement wouldn't be very long and I would be getting married on the other side of the country (I live in Seattle, and my family is in RI.) My fiance and I settled on a date in February, and I went into overdrive on wedding planning. I knew there was no way I could plan a cross-country wedding without help. I didn't search long for wedding planners before I found Alyssa. I really liked her vibe - she was young, experienced in hospitality, and was passionate about the most important things in life (dogs, wine, and ice cream). Considering I had big ice cream plans for my wedding, I was pretty sure Alyssa was the one for me. And after our phone consultation, I knew without out a doubt. With only about 6 months to pull the wedding together, Alyssa became my lifesaver - I probably talked to her more often than my own fiance! We were pretty torn on locations, and without having time to visit in person, we relied on Alyssa to tour venues and FaceTime us. This was super helpful and saved us significant travel time and costs. Throughout the whole wedding planning process, I was often pretty sure I was probably driving Alyssa crazy. Being a very organized, Type A person myself, I couldn't stop working on wedding things, even though Alyssa was on top of it all. I would often send her emails with things that randomly popped into my head - and she would respond that she had just been writing an email about the exact same thing! I'm sure at times she probably just wanted me to chill and let her do her thing, but she never seemed annoyed with me at all! I can imagine that working with brides, you have to be very patient and understanding, and Alyssa is certainly that. Something about weddings makes us brides go insane, so having a calm, steady person to guide you through the process is incredibly reassuring. My biggest fear going into the wedding day was that all the random choices on things that I had made wouldn't all go together. Choosing things from afar made it hard to visualize the big picture. But walking into our reception space, I realized I never should have been worried. Alyssa was all over it, and the vendors she gave me to choose from were obviously perfectly curated for my wedding, because everything looked exactly how I had dreamt of. Her knowledge of vendors in MA, RI, and CT is extensive, because of her long tenure in the industry - and it shows. From florals to cake to rentals, everyone she brought to the table were as 5 star as she is. Having Alyssa on hand to plan my whole wedding probably saved me from many emotional breakdowns. I would highly highly recommend her for the full wedding package. But if you can't afford that, even just bringing her on board for the day is worth it. Knowing that on my wedding day, all I had to do was get ready and show up was so amazing. I let Alyssa worry about the timeline and making sure the right people got to the right place and that really allowed me to enjoy the day stress-free. I think the best way to explain how much I appreciated Alyssa is how I felt the day after. While we went to brunch, and headed to our honeymoon, Alyssa took care of the final logistics and then went home. I was so sad I didn't get to say goodbye to her in person, as she had become such a huge part of my life leading up to the wedding. But I'm so grateful I'l get to see her again - she's planning my little brother's wedding next year!

We opted for the full planning service and we were so pleased with Alyssa's professionalism and her passion for her work. We live in California and after 2 months of trying to plan things ourselves, we knew we needed a planner to make our wedding vision come to life. We were unable to look at venues in person before picking the final place. Alyssa made the trip to Boston, toured each venue and then Face-timed us to show us each of the spaces and explain what she felt was great about each space and why it worked for our budget and our overall vision. It took so much pressure and stress out of not being able to see the venue in person. When it came time to schedule our tasting and design meeting, Alyssa made a Saturday appointment work even though she had plans to meet her family for a vacation in New Hampshire. She, her husband and doggie all waited patiently for us to make decisions on the menu and the overall design for tables. Truly, she went above and beyond for us. Alyssa scheduled check-in calls and made sure we knew exactly what was next to accomplish in our planning schedule. She sent us several options for each vendor and would listen to what we liked or didn't like about the potential venders until we found the perfect live band, photographer, florist and hair and makeup artist. Both my husband and I have busy schedules and she made the whole process feel manageable and fun! Alyssa was also incredibly respectful of our overall budget and made sure that everything we wanted was possible. While the planning process was excellent, the part that was truly mind blowing was just how relaxed and fun the rehearsal dinner and the actual wedding day felt. So many brides feel like they are finishing up last minute items right before the wedding, myself included, and when Alyssa heard my self-made to do list, she said "Absolutely not! You are the bride, give me your list and I will take care of everything." Then she actually took care of every detail, of every schedule, of every last minute change so that everything was just perfect. She exceeded all of my expectations and did everything with such incredible professionalism. I used to think it was silly when people say their wedding day was magical... ours truly was (my husband didn't even want to have a wedding and he admits it was all worth it) and it was all because of Alyssa. When planning such a huge event, do yourself a favor and invest in a planner who is going to advocate for you and allow you to enjoy the experience. We asked her for a tall order: a barn wedding in New England on a Saturday in October, with less than 11 months notice and a modest budget. Alyssa went above and beyond to investigate and found us a brand new venue that checked every single item on our list. She knew exactly what questions to ask and pointed out things that we never would have thought of in determining which venue was the best fit for us. Over the next several months, we had access to many resources that helped us with decision making - online planning tools, checklists, preferred vendor lists, and most importantly, email access with Alyssa. Her preferred vendor list was fantastic and we built most of our vendor team based on those suggestions. She also specifically recommended options for hotels, transportation, and our amazing florist. As the wedding drew closer we started to get overwhelmed with all the minute details of wedding planning: catering details, rental quantities, photo lists, DJ surveys, etc. It was such a relief to have Alyssa jump in at the 8 week mark and make order of our chaos. We probably sent Alyssa a million questions and, while we knew she was working on a couple of other weddings at the same time, we always got prompt responses and never felt like we were lower priority - I doubt she actually got any off days this wedding season! She coordinated with all our vendors, made great suggestions, helped us figure out a floor plan, and created a wonderfully detailed timeline. On the day of the wedding, she worked tirelessly behind the scenes to set everything up exactly how we wanted it and coordinated the whole day flawlessly. Needless to say, it was A LOT of coordinating and details. I decided to bring Alyssa on board as a "Month-of Coordinator" and she instantly made my pre-wedding jitters disappear. She insured all of my vendors (caterer, flowers, DJ, photographer, etc.) were all on the same page with timing and responsibilities. You 100% won’t regret the decision and quite honestly, it will end up being one of the best wedding investments you make for your special day. I know for me, this was absolutely the case. This goes for whether you’re doing everything yourself or having your wedding at a venue. If you want a dedicated, personalized, professional person fulfilling your vision, Alyssa is that person. I recently got married on 9/1/18 and due to the type of wedding my husband and I were having (at my now in-laws backyard), we needed someone to handle day-of coordination. As I started researching vendors on The Knot, I found a couple to reach out to, including Alyssa. She was the first person I spoke to, and you know when you talk to someone and you can tell they just…fit with you, your personality, your family/friend’s personalities (that last one is a biggie and sometimes just as important)? Alyssa was it; there was no contest after I spoke to her. The thoughtfulness of her questions, her engagement, her enthusiasm, her professionalism…no one came close. Remember my family/friends comment? I have some similar type A, serious planning people in my life and knew Alyssa would be on top of everything enough to put us all at ease. That’s exactly what she did. She truly made my husband and my vision come to life. Not only did she come extremely prepared for our first meeting with questions that spanned everything from the ceremony to the reception to décor and anything in between, she also had such amazing insight on things with the caterer for instance, as well as things we hadn’t even thought of. She was also more than willing to be involved pulling details together, like folding and tying 120+ napkins the night before. She always listened, never rushed me through my thoughts, and was extremely responsive. Alyssa not only handled all the day-of details, but also managed our vendors! This was an incredible help to my mother-in-law and I as we were renting everything for a wedding in my in-law’s backyard (tent, tables, chairs, linens, bar, decorations, etc). This allowed my mother-in-law and I to focus our attention elsewhere. She also handled our wedding party fantastically, which was by all accounts, like herding cats She kept us on time and organized while still recognizing that the day was about us enjoying and having fun with those closest to us. I know I don’t know all the issues she encountered that day, and that’s because she’s amazing at her job and handled them. If anything went wrong, I was certainly none the wise – everything was beautifully executed. I truly can’t sing Alyssa’s praises enough. I couldn’t be happier with how our day turned out. During the wedding itself, Alyssa was excellent at making sure the event went smoothly in all respects: the venue and decorations were set up exactly as we wanted them before the guests arrived, the bridal party was where they needed to be at all times, the vendors knew when and where to set up, the evening's program unfolded exactly on time, and she broke down everything at the end of the night for us so we didn't have to worry about that. In the days since, we have received high praise for how well the wedding went from multiple family members and friends, and that is a testament to the great job Alyssa did. If anything during the wedding didn't go perfectly, we didn't know about it, because Alyssa just took care of it. We would highly recommend her to anybody who needs a day-of coordinator.

I live out of state so Alyssa was a huge help and essential to having the event go perfectly. She had recommendations and contact information for all the vendors I needed and totally handled all of the coordinating with the venue regarding food, drinks, etc. She also ran errands/picked things up for me and had everything set up at the venue by the time we arrived, a half hour before the event started, with just a few last minute things we wanted to add. For those of you who aren't familiar with this venue, the Wentworth is a true gem that clearly hires top notch and talented workers to go above and beyond the expectations of bride and grooms on their wedding day. Alyssa was outstanding to work with from day one. She was very professional and attentive to details. I was one of those brides who was very particular with what I wanted, and she helped plan my wedding down to the smallest detail. Alyssa was also very responsive to my many emails.
