From the very beginning she helped make a plan out of nothing, and as someone who is very indecisive and a busy working professional, she added just the right amount of suggestions and nudging for me to make things happen. Her vendor knowledge and knowledge of traditions mixed with what is typically done today were all crucial for helping me decide what would make it to my big day. The groom and groomsmen are raving about how helpful Val was all day (even when the groom missplaced his tux). What could have been a challenging day due to the weather (90 degrees in April with 20 mph wind gusts) turned into something truly incredible. Paula was an exceptional partner throughout the day—she was collaborative, thoughtful, and willing to make real-time decisions that prioritized the longevity and integrity of the florals. That level of teamwork made a meaningful difference and allowed us to deliver the best possible outcome for our couple. She made everything simple - all we had to do was book everything and she took care of communications with our vendors the month or so leading up to the event. We just got married in September and I truly don’t know what we would have done without Ashley. No delivery, no call, nothing — and this was just an hour before the reception. I had spent months dreaming about that cake, and when the venue told me it hadn’t arrived, I nearly lost it. Ashley didn’t even blink. She quietly excused herself, made a few phone calls, and within 45 minutes had arranged for a beautiful 2-tier cake from a local Publix (and a few dozen extra desserts to make up the difference). She grabbed fresh flowers from our centerpiece setup, decorated the cake herself, and somehow made it look like it had been custom-designed for us. By the time dinner started, no one had any idea there’d been a problem. Guests complimented how perfect the cake looked — and honestly, it was even better than the original one I ordered. What impressed me most was how calm and kind Ashley stayed through it all. She shielded me from the stress, handled every call, and kept the entire day running smoothly. We got married this past May and I can say without hesitation that hiring Ashley as our wedding planner was the single best decision we made. The morning of the wedding, the weather forecast completely flipped — what had been a 10% chance of rain became a full-on thunderstorm warning just two hours before our outdoor ceremony. The venue staff started moving chairs inside, my bridesmaids were panicking, and I was trying not to cry. Ashley stepped in and took total control, calmly and confidently. She called the rental company and had clear wall panels delivered to add to our tent on rush order, coordinated with the florist to redesign the ceremony arch to fit the new space, and somehow made everything look intentional — like it was always meant to be that way. While she managed all of that chaos, she also kept me calm. She checked in every few minutes with updates, helped my mom relax, and even made sure I had food and a (very full) glass of Champagne while getting ready. By ceremony time, the tent was glowing with candles and twinkle lights, the rain was softly hitting the roof, and it turned into the most romantic, storybook moment imaginable. Guests were in awe. Ashley didn’t just “save” our wedding — she made it even more magical than what we had planned. If anything had gone wrong that day, we never would’ve known. Ashley is professional, unshakable under pressure, and has a gift for turning problems into beauty. I tell everyone now: if you’re getting married in the Charlotte area, you need Lisa Pleasant Events and you need Ashley.

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot in one short review name all of the things that I appreciate about Lisa and her team. This is my family‘s second wedding event with Lisa at the helm – one was a backyard wedding and the other a destination wedding. In both cases, the event went off flawlessly. Lisa is a meticulous planner with endless unique ideas but equally as careful to capture the vision and desires of her brides. She and her team exude professionalism, precision and calm. Every task is tracked, every i dotted and t crossed. Her skills made the wedding planning process a delight and it has been a great relief to know that she is on top of every detail. If we had issues with vendors, she advocated for us. In fact, I’m confident there were a myriad of issues that probably arose but we never knew about them because Lisa handled them in such a way that allowed us to simply enjoy the day. I cannot recommend her strongly enough.

My husband and I were living apart for work the year we planned our wedding and we knew we needed a wedding planner to keep us sane and our family relationships intact. After our first meeting with Lisa it was clear she is who we needed! We signed on with her about a year before our wedding and she was available and incredible every step of the way. So incredibly organized and thinking of every big and little detail I didn't know I needed to consider. She helped us navigate some uncomfortable situations with guests/family before the big day too. The day of, I can't even begin to describe. She executed everything so perfectly. The team was kind, polite, efficient, professional and just generally awesome. The set up was seamless and brought every corner of our vision to lift. It was honestly the most perfect day. On the day of, I didn't need to lift a finger. The schedule was on point and the biggest stress I had the day of was forgetting a couple for our seating chart. Literally, everything else was taken care of (she even printed off a special single person schedule for my father who needed to know when and where he was supposed to be). Now that the wedding is over my husband and I joke we went through a break up, we went from talking to Lisa all the time and now we miss her dearly! Could honestly not recommend anyone more.

Experiencia fantástica: I don't do many reviews, but after seeing Paula work so hard with a smile the whole time, I wanted to make sure she and Lisa Pleasant Events received another 5 star review. As the Father of the Groom, on my son's June 28th wedding, I was able to speak with Paula throughout the day briefly, but really see her in action. She was seen throughout the day hustling with a smile the whole time. She was on top of the wedding from early in the morning as she set up the reception area, to the end handing out sparklers to guests to celebrate the end of the wedding, and then to the very end as guests were leaving cleaning up. She was marvelous just in the fact that she transfered all the wedding gift into my truck herself. This is a great organization, but it's the people that make it great, and Paula truly was! Thank you, Paula, for ALL the hard work that people don't see.

I reached out to Lisa in panicked despair looking for full planning services 4 months before my wedding. Within days, we got the whole process going. Lisa’s attention to detail and level of organization are extraordinary. She was professional, knowledgeable and warm. After understanding what I was looking for and my personality, she matched me with my planner Alex. Alex was absolutely incredible as our planner and our coordinator. Ever since the first meeting with Alex a year before our wedding, she totally put our minds at ease and I just knew that we had nothing to worry about. We didn't know where to begin regarding vendors, and the recommendations from the LPE team helped us narrow down our H&MU team, hotel blocks, and more. Experiencia fantástica: We interviewed nine potential wedding planners and Lisa and Mackenzie (our primary planner) stood out to us for their approachability, thoroughness, and experience with organizing larger weddings and working at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. Mackenzie did an exceptional job of utilizing the wedding venue space to the fullest. She did a great job of designing an event that allowed plenty of opportunity for guests to connect and enjoy the garden. We received a lot of compliments from guests about how much fun they had during our wedding. Mackenzie and Lisa possess excellent judgment about suggesting what would and would not work well for our wedding. The band leader, praised how "elegant" our wedding felt without being over the top. Because of the excellent organizational work, my wife and I had a very fun and enjoyable wedding weekend! People kept asking us if we were stressed - and truthfully, we were not because we knew that the wedding planning was in good hands Mackenzie and Lisa were very responsive and did a great job ensuring that our planning was on track during a relative short period of time for planning. Their cost was in the higher range, but we felt that we received excellent value with savings they found with vendors. We appreciated that they charged a flat rate rather than a percentage of total wedding cost, creating good financial alignment. We could not be more happy with their work! We are happy to provide a strong, positive reference!

We initially contacted Lisa in December 2017 with our intention was to get married in 2019 or perhaps 2020. A number of crazy events happened that were out of our control, which caused delays in the wedding date. But, we were finally able to have our wedding in April 2022! In those 4+ years, Lisa was always there to provide her expertise and guidance on everything from save the date invitations, to recommendations on hotels for our loved ones, tasting menus, wedding dress suppliers, event locations, DJ, wedding officiant, transportation, band, flowers, wedding cake and desserts…and every other wedding related logistic possible! She was always available for our questions, even if we had to speak later in the evening due to work schedules, etc. During the wedding planning process, Lisa became a friend to us and we are extremely grateful we met her. In the end, we had an amazingly beautiful and PERFECT wedding event and we literally couldn’t ask for it to be better for everyone involved. We are extremely fortunate to have had an exceptional wedding planner, but we are also very blessed to have made a friend.
