Experiencia negativa: I wish I had better things to say, as our initial experience with Debbie was really great. We initially started working with Debbie around July 2023 for our October 2024 wedding. Unfortunately, around February 2024, I stopped hearing from her. She did not respond to repeated attempts to communicate with her. I am really happy for the folks who have had positive experiences with her, but I wish I had listened to reviews that said she ghosted them. I would highly encourage selecting a different planner and florist as we had to try and get other vendors (who were incredible!) at what felt like the last minute.

Experiencia negativa: I wish I could leave ZERO stars! After taking my son & his fiancé's retainer fee, she ghosted them for months. Once threatened with litigation, she was "apologetic". She lied about sending a refund check. Then it took another few weeks for her to agree to cashapp it. Then didn't...until we robo-texted her. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER "SERVICES"!

However when it came closer to time it was very hard to reach her about last minute questions but that is to be expected as she is very popular. The day of my daughters wedding she was very excited and made sure everything was dress right dress and she was more than a wedding planner she became part of our large extended family. If anyone from coast to coast needs a wedding planner please look her up she will make all your dreams come true

Experiencia negativa: Key word GHOSTED! We met with her for a consult and told her we were on a budget, but she made everything seem awesome. She told us she would get all the plans together and warned she did have an event that weekend, but she would definitely have everything ready for us the following week. We called, texted, emailed…nothing! Have the courtesy to at least lie and say you forgot you had an event that weekend which I’m sure she didn’t. We ended up going with Designs by Lady Vye in Fayetteville and she was amazing. The budget we told this heifer we were on was thrown out the window so she missed out. Don’t waste your time.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would. I hired Debbie last year to be our planner and designer for our wedding. At the begging debbie was very nice and made us feel like she had everything under control and organized. We slowly stopped hearing from debbie as months went by and eventually she ghosted us completely. We kept texting and emailing with no response. This left us with no planner and stressed. Debbie eventually reached out and stated she would give us our deposit back. THIS WAS BACK IN MARCH and we have still not received it. We have continued to try and check in and are now involving legal forces. DO NOT HIRE HER. SHE IS A SCAM. She will take your money and you will receive no services. There are so many better options, I recommend Antrilli Planning Design. She was able to pick up where debbie left us and things have been a breeze since.

We paid Debbie the $500.00 deposit and NEVER heard back. No text, email or returned calls after MANY attempts. I wish I had read the reviews. I found a new planner thankfully who is wonderful. Debbie you should be ashamed of what you are putting brides through!

Experiencia negativa: I urge you to rethink doing business with Debbie Bender designs. She was the decorator and florist for my sisters wedding. Let’s just say we were less than impressed and left very disappointed by the services she “supposedly” provided. She literally made the bouquets (which were nothing like what my sister wanted) a couple hours before the ceremony. The flowers were wilted! Very important touches that were requested and discussed beforehand were completely left out. She didn’t even attempt to do half of what she was supposed to do. Now she won’t return items that belong to my sister and won’t respond to her on any forum! Debbie Bender… you should be ashamed!!!

Experiencia negativa: Met with Debbie, paid our deposit, had an intro meeting, and never heard from her again. This started in December 2021. I read reviews similar to this, that she ghosts you until you cancel the contract and are unable to recover the deposit because you canceled. But, she did my fiance's sister in law's wedding and looked promising. My fiance and I have had to plan our wedding in the past several months because Debbie is a no show - canceling upcoming meetings with vendors and then not rescheduling nor contacting us. We actually changed planners recently because we are behind because of her. I do not recommend Debbie. Her practices are shady and unreliable and its no wonder shes actively getting sued for this same issue by another one of her clients. Its a wonder because she did receive a PPP loan, so there's no excuse.

Experiencia negativa: I usually don't write negative reviews. I understand that businesses can be affected when a negative review is put out there for the world to see. However I was so hurt by my experience that I had to write in hopes that it saves someone else from having the same issue I had. Debbie was very attentive in the beginning, but it seemed as if once it was determined that I wasn't having a huge wedding, I was put on the back burner. I was promised new drapes to hang from the ceiling but turns out they weren't long enough on the day of my wedding. My quote kept increasing from the original quote even though I removed silverware and Goblets off the contract. The last straw was her professional "cake cutter" cut the top tier of my wedding cake without asking me if it was supposed to be saved! When I asked Debbie to refund me for just the top tier, I got the run around! In the end she stopped responding to my messages and refused to give me a partial refund. So on my first year anniversary I suppose my husband and I will have to celebrate some other way.i was very disappointed with this company.

Debbie was amazing from the beginning, during the wedding, and even checked in after. My entire family and all guest felt super important as Debbie made sure everything went smoothly. The Bride and Groom enjoyed themselves without any worry. Thank you Debbie for all you have done for not only my Grand daughter and New Grand son in-law, but for our entire family.

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend. During covid it was a hardship on many of us and due to needing to move our wedding because of it, we informed Debbie that is what we would be doing. After contacting the venue, they informed us nobody had reached out to them to reschedule as that was supposed to be the wedding planners job, or so we thought because that is what was told to us. I initiated a change in date and fter informing Debbie of our change, I never received a response. We were lucky enough to only pay the minimum to secure our date, even though we never received that payment back it is very unprofessional to not respond to a client after they have reached out and you can continuously be active.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a baby shower for our 1st grandbaby/granddaughter, last year, she exceeded all of our expectations and more. Was she not only professional, but such a kind spirit, so friendly that it made it easier to work with her and her wonderful staff. Experiencia negativa: We used Debbie Bender design for our (9.12.20) wedding. Our first red flag should have been that when we were trying to get in contact with her for a consultation, she “claimed” she sent my mom multiple emails. We hired her, and she charged us over 3000 dollars to decorate our venue. Her decorations were lovely for the most part. If I were to say a couple of details I was not fond of was the ceremony and my bouquet (it was wilted). The reception, however, was beautiful. She did not understand boundaries whatsoever. We hired her as a DECORATOR. She was not our wedding planner, but she tried to take over on numerous occasions. I believe the highlight of disappointment is when she decided to steal my unity cord. She texted my mom that she had the cord and that my mom had her birdcage. My mom agreed to exchange with her when things settled down. Unfortunately, they never met up. I texted Debbie the first time, and I told her that since I no longer live in Fayetteville, I needed my unity cord mailed to me. I even agreed to pay for shipping; nonetheless, she decided to send it. It never came. I texted her each week/ month. She stopped responding. I even spoke with CFBG to see if they could get a hold of her. They did, and she said that she mailed it months ago. She didn’t let us know she sent anything. I had to go to a secondary source to get an answer. CFBG continued to email her, and she stopped responding. It is February, and I still have yet to receive my unity cord. My unity cord was the highlight of my ceremony, and it holds sentimental value. The venue recommended that I sue her, and of course, I emailed and threatened to sue. I never heard a word. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND DEBBIE BENDER DESIGN. Her work is cheap, and you overpay for what you get.

The level of detail and coordination she put into the wedding, reception, picture and music was nothing less then spectacular. The whole event was truly awesome. She is a top notch planner and worth every penny for providing the most memorable moment.

Debbie did the most amazing job, it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. She was so detailed oriented, so laser focused on this event, it was flawless from start to finish. Every single request and demand was met and then some, she is an absolute expert. If you’re getting married, even if you’re not from the area, you’d be a fool to not book Debbie. As classy and elegant as they come, I would liken her to a composer in a musical. And to add to it, she’s an even better person than she is an organizer. Top of the line, an absolute professional amongst rookies.

Experiencia negativa: I really liked her energy, promises, and the potential decoration for our wedding. From the beginning I told her my fiancé and I are very laid back and as long as it looked great with the colors, we were flexible. Debbie made us feel very comfortable and assured us she would handle everything from the invitations, decorations, and coordinating our big day. She also emphasised we could call, text, or email as much as we needed during the process, however we decided to communicate with her. Parts of her "contract" were open without prices, because we needed to further "discuss" them at a later date. Anyways, we gave her the deposits as our wedding planner and decorator, then COVID happened. We were on edge whether we were going to move the date or not, but during all that time, not once did she communicate with us. Once my fiancé and I knew for sure we were going forward, I texted her. She replied and apologized for it slipping her mind. I asked about invitations and she offered to make those and have them ready within days, even when I told her I was already looking into ordering them from CA. We made the decision for her to do them and it became a pain after that. It took her nearly two weeks to come up with a design, which my fiance and I had to completely re-do on our own because the product she presented was bland and seemed to be thrown together last minute. Even with a completed design of the invitation page, she took over a week to send us a picture of her holding that one part of our invitation, and never responded when we asked for a proof of the entire invitation as it would be when we sent them out, so we could approve the entire design and get them in the mail. Then slowly but surely she stopped answering my text and emails all together. Until we finally had enough, since our wedding is quickly approaching. At which point my fiance and I ordered our invitations, put them together, and mailed them out within a few days, a task that should have been completed by Debbie. I had not read the reviews but now that I have, everything makes more sense. She applied for the PPP Loan (as she told me in excitement) and probably got it, she forgot about some of her other clients apparently, bought herself a boat, and enjoyed life... All while we scrambled to find a new planner and decorator, along with others as her new reviews have started to reflect. We would have been fine if she would have been honest with us and said that she wasn't interested in working with us anymore, , as long as we received our money back and had sufficient time to hire someone else. Her communication with clients is terrible. We looked at this as an investment in a day that we can only live once and she proved that her priorities were elsewhere. I have all the emails, texts, phone calls between us saved. We are going to keep our word and give you until September 14, 2020 (30 days) for an answer. After that we will be contacting BBB, PPP, SBA and filing a lawsuit. We have already spoken to an attorney that is eager to take the case, because they understand how important contractual obligations are and that fraud is a criminal offense. To anyone still thinking about hiring Debbie Bender Design for your next event, don't! You have better odds winning the lottery than having a beautifully decorated, planned, and coordinated event by her.

Experiencia fantástica: Debbie and her team are EXCELLENT! She knows her stuff and executed the wedding I was in this past weekend perfectly. It’s extremely difficult to be kind and direct a large party at the same time and Debbie made sure no one skipped a beat while keeping a smile on her face. She was personable and so much fun to be around. As a bridesmaid I knew she was there to help and I had a blast spending the weekend with her. I truly don’t have a single complaint! If you’re looking for the perfect planner, look no further!

Experiencia negativa: Would not recommend. Debbie agreed to clean up after my wedding and return all of my wedding material. However, I never received any of my wedding material back from her, even after months of contacting. My husband and I were the last people to leave the venue so we saw her team putting our stuff away and cleaning up, so we know she has our stuff. I still can't believe she stole from us, and have been completely avoiding us.

Experiencia fantástica: Debbie Bender can do it all. Debbie was recommended to us by someone showing us the venue we decided on. This was around the time when I thought I could handle everything and didn't need a wedding planner. Boy was I wrong. Debbie has a vision and a talent for design that I could never have pulled off in a million years. We went with her for planning, floral AND design, but she also married us (she's ordained!), handled our bartending (she's insured) and she made our cake (she's licensed!). She handled our invites and RSVPs and worked with each and every one of our vendors to make sure everything was perfectly executed on our wedding day. She went to all of my dress fittings and kept us on track during the 9+ months of wedding planning we had to get through. If someone or something didn't work out during the process, as is bound to happen no matter how much you plan, she handled it with grace and went above and beyond making up for it. She even found me a fantastic hair and makeup vendor about two weeks before the big day because my original vendor fell through! All of this being said, her designs are absolutely breathtaking and she's also really fun to work with! I think she executed our vision perfectly and stayed true to our style and personality. I would highly recommend Debbie for all your wedding needs. We are two happy love birds having worked with her! :)

Experiencia negativa: Terrible customer experience, me and my fiancée thought we hired a professional but we were misled. Mrs Bender chose to initialize cancellation of service as a result of her negligence on more than one occasion to include making a commitment to refund our initial investment, but to our demise she has not honored her commitment to do so. There was a second breakdown in communication, and three months before our wedding we’re scrambling for alternative’s. I would not recommend Mrs Bender being in charge of any important event.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I meet Debbie Bender during a bridal expo at Studio 215. I was very hesitant about calling and asking for help, but I did. It was the best decision I made. When we first met it was like “love at first sight” ( not like that guys). She listened to me and worked with me. She helped me understand that even with my limited budget I could have an amazing wedding. She made do’s and don’ts simple, she advised on things I needed and didn’t. My review: It is rare to witness such a high level of enthusiasm, coupled with expert communication and wrapped neatly with the ability to somehow be everywhere at once! I stumbled upon Debbie’s Instagram page after my venue had tagged her in an event photo. I shot Debbie an email, got a prompt response, and very soon after a meeting. I booked her the next day for coordination and decor. Debbie is professional, warm, and extremely knowledgeable. She was always available for my random questions and concerns. I (probably very poorly) described what I envisioned for my wedding day and Debbie made it come true. Come my wedding day I had no worries and was stress free. Debbie made sure everything was covered, she even consoled my very emotional mother (which my photographer caught on camera). Debbie is an amazing coordinator/designer and an amazing person. I recommend her for any and all events you may have.

We are celebrating our first wedding anniversary, and as we remember our special day it’s all happy memories and a day without wedding stress. She made sure the day went smooth, dealt with all the vendors, worked on two different decorations for a indian wedding and reception. Eventhough it was Debbie’s first indian she took the challenge and exceeded our expectations. Debbie did a wonderful job with Mandap and Indian weddig decorations just by looking at Pinterest board.
