Experiencia negativa: My brother & sister-in-law hired Eventfully Yours for their wedding and unfortunately had an unbelievably negative experience. Julie & Eventfully Yours blamed any & everyone else (including their clients) when things went wrong. They told lie after lie and had no accountability. They took advantage of an easy-going, non-confrontational couple & made their wedding planning experience frustrating & stressful. I think anyone can understand that mistakes get made & things don’t always go as planned. However, the way that Eventfully Yours responded & treated their clients is the reason for the poor review. While promoting their “Invited by Eventfully Yours” service under the “Eventfully Yours” name, when things went wrong, suddenly, it wasn’t their service anymore. It was a separate vendor & wasn’t their fault. Invitations were mailed late & then all guests received a save the date for the WRONG COUPLE. The couple had to create a Facebook event & contact guests individually for RSVPs because they were so late and headcounts were needed. There were countless lies, discrepancies, & terrible communication from Julie & her team all along the way. When the invitations were finally delivered, the final product’s quality was less than poor; had low-quality, pixilated graphics (obviously copied from somewhere) & careless misspellings. Julie & EY blamed the post office, printing company, & then ultimately the couple for hiring this vendor. When all along this service/vendor was promoted to be an Eventfully Yours service. The invitation contact person was brought in as an EY employee, had an Eventfully Yours email address, was highlighted numerous times on EY social media pages & website as part of their “team” & Julie referred to her as their “graphic designer”. EY even used the couple’s EXACT invitation to promote this brand new “Invited by Eventfully Yours” service according to multiple social media posts. The fact that the couple would be one of the first clients to use this service or that their exact invitation would be used to promote the service was never communicated. But still, according to Julie it was just a separate vendor and that is between “you and the vendor”. Which is understandable except the service literally was advertised as “Invited by EVENTFULLY YOURS”. From the very beginning, if Julie & Eventfully Yours would have taken responsibility, been upfront & honest, promptly & professionally taken care of the issue rather than make excuses, blame others & lie while taking weeks to resolve the issue, I believe everyone would have been more understanding in this situation because we all know things happen. However, the blaming, excuses & lies never stopped. Eventfully Yours used photos of minors without parental consent on their social media pages & website when nothing in the photos had to do with their business. Not their child, idea, equipment, florals, or their work, but they still used those photos to inaccurately represent their business. If you tried to make the best of it and didn’t say you wanted something changed (that should have been done correctly to begin with), it was your fault for not saying something, but when you did speak up & ask for something to be changed, Julie calls you rude & demanding after the fact. From the outside looking in, it was a beautiful wedding & they got married- which is the most important thing, but for what all went on in the background, how the couple was treated, & the stress that EY caused before, during & for MONTHS after the wedding; it is still unbelievable. There is SO much more to this story, but ultimately, the way that Julie & EY handled & treated their clients, shows their true colors. Instead of going “above & beyond” for their clients, Eventfully Yours went low & below all expectations. Poor communication, lack of responsiveness, carelessness, dishonesty, unprofessionalism, poor ethics & causing more stress & hassle for the couple is NOT what having a wedding planner should be. I have never seen a business treat their clients in such a terrible way.

Experiencia negativa: My wedding took place over a year ago and at that time, I did not speak on our experience with EY, simply because I'm uncomfortable speaking negatively on anyone, especially a local business. However I've been revisiting the situation recently in sharing recommendations with a newly engaged friend. I would not recommend EY for day of coordination services, which is what we hired them to do in September 2023. There was a lack of communication from the start which should have been a sign. EY did not get timelines to our vendors until a few days before our wedding which was an issue for our photographers and caused stress and extra work for me in trying to coordinate everyone when that was part of their duties on the contract. I understood that for any of their decorating services, it would be the next level up in service and cost more, however we asked if they could simply transport our flowers from the ceremony to the reception venue and they said they couldn't because that would be decorating services. Then, the day of the wedding Julie casually asked if we needed them to transport flowers... I was annoyed even though she was trying to be helpful because I had already stressed over finding wedding guests to transport them for us when she said she would charge for it. Since we did not use EY for decorations, we decorated the reception venue ourselves the day before and counted all tables and chairs to ensure there were enough. At our rehearsal, Julie made it a point to let us know that she "called our venue and turns out they were short a few tables and chairs" but not to worry, she handled it and they set out more. This was not true. She created a scenario to make it seem as if she were handling issues that didn't exist. I did not appreciate being lied to. Finally at our reception, there were four EY staff on hand, however they all followed Julie around the entire time. None of them communicated with our DJ to let them know when we planned to do our first dance, we basically handled that as well. Aside from assisting me when I had a wardrobe malfunction with my bustle, there was honestly no need to have a day of coordinator. We regret the money spent on EY when we ended up stressing and doing most of the work ourselves.

The floral and decorations were absolutely stunning. A huge huge shout out to her team they are well driven individuals that take pride in what they do!! Thank you EY team!!

Experiencia negativa: I worked with Julie and Eventfully Yours as my wedding planners and coordinators, and while there were some positive aspects, my overall experience was disappointing. From the start, we faced several communication challenges. They repeatedly promised to get me scheduled but continuously pushed it off, citing that they had been reaching out to the wrong phone number. Additionally, there were mistakes with the save-the-dates, which added unnecessary stress. I provided inspiration photos for my bridal bouquet and specifically requested to see it prior to my pictures for approval, but there was no follow-up. Unfortunately, the final product didn’t align with my vision. Deadlines and vendor coordination were also major concerns. As a full-service planning and coordination team, I expected more and multiple people from my wedding party noted things as well. I was told a final vendor meeting would be scheduled but never happened without explanation. That said, the EY team did provide excellent vendor recommendations. However, there was little to no follow-up on critical deadlines, such as final floral orders. I shared my frustrations with Julie multiple times, emphasizing that communication was lacking. My issue wasn’t with the errors themselves but with the lack of communication. Had they communicated earlier, we could have worked together to find solutions. By that point, however, I had lost all trust in the EY team. A particularly disappointing moment came regarding Julie’s commitment to being present on my wedding day. I chose my venue and date based on her assurance to me and my mother that, as the first wedding booked, she would personally be there, and her team would be split between my event and any others scheduled later. During our final meeting, when my mother asked about the wedding day team, Julie confirmed that she and other team members would be there. However, on the morning of my wedding, she sent a text apologizing and stating that she would be attending another event in Canyon instead. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, and I hired a wedding planner and coordinator specifically to make the process stress-free. Unfortunately, all of the stress I experienced stemmed from the EY team’s lack of communication and follow-through. While they were kind and willing to help when prompted, their lack of attention to detail and organization left much to be desired. In the end, my wedding was beautiful, but I can’t help but wonder if I could have achieved the same outcome on my own, saving thousands of dollars in the process. I want to emphasize that this review is not meant to be spiteful or hateful, but an honest account of my experience. My hope is that by sharing this, potential clients can avoid the issues I faced and that the EY team can use this feedback to improve their services moving forward.

The planner is extremely unprofessional, lies, does not take responsibility, does not stick to budget, has terrible communication, and talks about you and your family to vendors after your wedding! She tells you they plan everything and you won’t have to lift a finger… UNTRUE. I think she does not care about the bride and groom, but only about money in their pocket and social media.

Experiencia negativa: My best friend got married in May and I attended the final details meeting with her and Julie and let me just say it was all around terrible. The absolute lack of communication, trying to blame the bride for her mistakes, invitations being sent out 2 WEEKS before the wedding with typos, and being over charged are just some of the thing we had to deal with. On top of that the florals were so ugly and nothing like what the bride wanted. We literally had to build her a new bouquet with florals we brought to decorate the bridal sweet 20 minutes before she walked down the aisle. I wish I could give 0 stars.

They handled even the smallest of details leaving me free to soak in all of the special moments. Experiencia negativa: I got married on Saturday, April 6th. I have had eventfully yours as my planner since September 2023. It has been a DISASTER to say the least. To start, I had already had a lot done. I had my venue, caterer, photographer, and website done. When I first spoke with Julie, I told her I wanted to keep the wedding as cheap as possible. I wasn’t looking to spend an arm and a leg on the wedding. I told her we were laid back and just didn’t have the time to handle it on our own between our work schedules. Communication lacked from the beginning. Even when I talked with Julie about that, she turned it around on me stating it was my job to handle this that and the other. And when I say communication, I mean with me, and my vendors. There would be times when I wouldn’t get a response to a text or anything for a month. I had to coordinate everything with my vendors on my own, which is one of the main reasons they were hired. The contract was so vague it looked like it was written by a 3 year old. That should’ve been my first clue. She had told me since I had stuff done already, my deposit would be 1200. Then a month later, she asked for another 800 for the deposit stating that she never said 1200 and that we needed to pay her more. I had started w 2 bridesmaids and a flower girl, and told her we would no longer have 1 of the bridesmaids and the flower girl, and 4 months later she was still trying to charge me for the flowers for the flower girl and bridesmaid. She was trying to charge me for bouquets for mothers and grandmothers. And boutonnières for fathers and grandfathers, which I had never heard of before. They tried to charge an insane amount for chargers, so I declined and said I would order nicer plates for the wedding. Then on the day of the wedding she did not use my plates that I spent 450 on and said it’s because she has never worked with my caterer before, I didn’t realize telling them to use my plates was rocket science because they hadn’t used my caterer before. And instead, my guests were served with styrofoam plates. On the day of the wedding, they didn’t start decorating until 2 1/2 hours before my wedding when we had the venue for 2 days. I had to ask them when they would be there to start decorating before it got done. They refused to sweep the floors, causing one of my guests to sweep because the floors were nasty. The decor was pretty but also not worth the amount I paid them to make the venue look stunning. The planner took my bouquet and ran off with it causing my mom and my photographer to chase her around to get it back and the planner was MIA for about an hour during the wedding as well. She had to be escorted out of the bridal suite multiple times because I was having an anxiety attack and would not leave me alone, zero emotional intelligence. I paid them about triple what I was trying to spend on the wedding in the first place. I will give credit where it is due, the florals were beautiful! There is so much more, that I could write a 10 page essay on how horrible they were. Moral of the story, do not use them!!!

We planned a destination wedding to Palo Duro Canyon State Park so we knew we needed help since we live in Austin. Every part of the planning process was smooth & care free. Julie & her team were on top of everything & had great ideas! They took my Pinterest board & was able to see our vision of wedding that we wanted. She provided a checklist of what was expected of us & would have check up Zoom calls. Day of was as stress free as possible. Wish we could do it again!

Experiencia negativa: My daughter is getting married in 2 weeks they haven’t even bother to call her back or even talk about the decorations or anything. But they surly didn’t have a problem charging her way to much. Julie is a total mess she could at least answer her calls or something. Just praying they didn’t reap my daughter off. Never booking them again. The only reason they even did was because the ballroom recommended her. Big mistake! And yes they do delete messages for her. Google keeps on eye on the reviews and even adds fake reviews and deletes them for them for an amount of many. Will update after the wedding prayers things turns out right if not I will be leaving another bad review.

Experiencia fantástica: Julie planned the most amazing wedding for me. Not only was she professional, she was amazingly creative with all of the ideas that she had. She always worked in a timely manner and was very responsive when my wife needed her. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed my time spent with Julie. Going into this process, I wasn’t too sure on how to even get started. Julie was a breath of fresh air. She walked my wife through everything from start to finish. I was very impressed on how she handled all of the vendors, venues, and all the decorations. Julie was truly a hard worker. I was so impressed about how on top of everything that she was. I understand how hard it is to juggle all of the components of a wedding. However, Julie handled everything with grace. Her attention to details was astounding. Overall, she is the best person for the job. I cannot say enough about how beautiful the wedding was. If I could recommend anybody around the Lubbock area, it would be Julie. Please consider her for all of your wedding needs.

To keep it short, Julie, the owner, was not only unorganized and unprepared for my best friends wedding, she tried to bully the bride into paying the amount on a contract that was never signed and refused to make any changes. I have been the maid of honor in several weddings and this is by far the worst management I've ever experienced. She got my friends wedding mixed up with another wedding she was hired for that day and she was not there to help with anything we needed. I'm sure this too will be deleted by Julie, but I wish we could spare another bride from this nightmare that's disguised as a 5 star business. I would rate 0 stars if I could.

I called multiple florists around town to see if placing a floral order 3 weeks out was normal and they all informed that event florals are ordered on a Monday for a Saturday event. To summarize what could be a novel of the heartache that this company has caused us; November 30 bridals: I had to remind Julie that I needed a bouquet for my bridal pictures that day. We had discussed it when we met in early November. Long story short, I ended up having to chase down a bouquet that was tiny, incorrect flowers, and not made until that day. December 2; I sent a very lengthy detailed email going over exactly how my newly downsized day should be laid out, where all florals should be, etc, because of how hectic just getting a bouquet for pictures was. I had also still not received a timeline to send to my vendors or bridal party which I was told I should have about 2-3 weeks out to send to everyone. It was clear at this point that our wedding day was not a priority. December 11; At our rehearsal, the wrong couple’s itinerary was handed out to all my wedding party. Again, just proving that maybe they had too much on their plate, but we clearly were not the priority. December 12; Wedding Day! Nothing went correct or according to the plan. The groomsmen rehearsed one way at the rehearsal, and day of we were given no heads up of any changes that had been made, until it was time to begin the ceremony. Our photographer and videographer were then in the wrong locations for the entrance of the groomsmen. Decorations that were absolutely not my taste or style were used (but I was asked to create a VERY detailed pinterest board), most all of the florals that HAD to be ordered 3 weeks prior were FAKE (I was told that the anemones would possibly be fake given the time of year and I was fine with that but then the hydrangeas and mums were also fake, even though these are very much winter flowers.) The tablecloths that I paid extra for were not only the wrong color but also the wrong materials (a gold sequined tablecloth or ivory was the only other options?!). My maid of honor, my mother, and other vendors ended up having to rearrange/decorate the venue because her team left the venue for the other, larger, wedding that day, while we were getting ready and things were being delivered. A BRIDE SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO DO ALL THAT I HAD TO DO THE DAY SHE IS GETTING MARRIED! ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE HAD PAID FOR THINGS TO BE HANDLED BUT NO ONE WAS THERE. The amount of things that were paid extra for that were not pulled off or correct was astounding. We paid $175 for a special donut favor station. When I met with Julie she said her son would be building a new large acrylic board that would look just like what I had pinned on my pinterest board. When in reality, it was tiny, sat on a table with the most embarrassing tablecloth and all together looked like something that should have been at a child's birthday party. All of this barely scratches the surface of what was wrong at our wedding. To future brides, to the eventfully yours team, I wanted to believe that this whole experience was a fluke and not the norm. After hearing horrible things from my own vendors, that is clearly not the case. I pray that no one will ever be subjected to the nightmare that was having to plan and direct your own wedding after paying and trusting a company to do it for you.

Since this is their specialty they thought of things we would have never considered and then they implemented them beautifully. Hiring this team of ladies to help with your wedding is the best decision you will make. Julie and team, thank you so much for all you did. Bonus: made some new friends along the way.

All the vendors (DJ, Catering, Photographer, etc) Julie put me in touch with were really sweet people who you could tell love what they do. It made all the difference.
