Experiencia negativa: Our coordinator quit 10 weeks before our wedding. Unfortunately, the experience leading up to that decision had already become difficult. Throughout planning, we were met with regular pushback when asking for guidance or articulating our vision for the wedding. Instead of problem-solving, conversations often shifted toward defensiveness, including repeated comments like “I do more for you than any other couple.” Yet the actual coordination didn’t align with that statement - the timeline and floor plan didn’t meet our expectations for that point in the planning process, and basic details required multiple follow-ups. Instead of helping us explore workable options, we were told what couldn’t be done, with little in the way of solutions. This pattern caused confusion, added stress, and left us without the steady guidance we expected from a coordinator. After she resigned, she offered a larger refund if we signed an NDA. We declined, as that wasn’t part of our agreement and didn’t feel appropriate given the circumstances. The request made us wonder whether this practice might affect how openly some clients choose to share their experiences. Based on what we experienced, we recommend that future couples ask very detailed questions about communication style, planning processes, and deliverables before booking.

Throughout our time together, Gina made sure to get to know us as a couple, what made us comfortable, what our vibe was and that was so clear on our big day. Rain caused us to have a last minute change of our ceremony from outside to inside and she helped all the vendors to flip the space in record time. She decided what questions needed to come to me and which ones I didn't need to be bothered with because it would unnecessarily stress me out. As a bride, this was so important. We told Gina we wanted our wedding to be a giant dance party start to finish and her creative ideas and timeline helped us deliver just that. Gina went above and beyond, helping one of my bridesmaid's fix her hair at the last minute, finding us the most unique props for our dance floor (hello robot dinosaurs!) and even helped us to quietly remove a guest from the party who had had too much. Gina is THAT GIRL that every couple should have by their side at the wedding. She is so versatile, working with couples with a variety of tastes and styles and can fit in with any group. Our friends and family were all raving about her and we want to have another wedding, just to work with her again!

She regularly checked in with us and made sure we were on schedule for an entire year leading up to our wedding, and I oftentimes forgot she had clients other than us because she was so attentive. Any time there was a problem with a vendor, Gina was swooping in to save the day. She got us upgrades with our hotel and truly had our best interest in mind throughout this entire process. I cannot imagine planning a wedding without her, she was such a huge help. I remember as I was arm and arm with my father, about to walk down the aisle I heard a baby start screaming (despite instructing guests that this was a child-free wedding). Gina gave above and beyond service, is so likeable and cool and fun, and there is 0 reason you should even consider anywhere else. Let me give you a quick example why Gina is so dope and how much value you get for your money (beyond fair pricing if you ask me); Gina scheduled month out meetings with all of our vendors so we could fine tune everything with them. She went over all of our contracts with the vendors and insured that nothing was out of place (there were like 7 contracts to go over just to give you an idea). She'll be your best friend for the day and ensure you've got everything you need, and she knows how to read a room/crowd perfectly. Getting you a drink when you need one, grabbing those random wedding items you need from your room. She make sure you stick to the timeline that she created for you months in advance. I booked Gina for full-service wedding planning and worked for with her for over a year to plan my dream wedding. Gina was always available to answer questions and/or help in anyway. She has a great rapport with vendors and works hard to get exactly what you want. She is also very budget conscious and never tried to sell us anything. Our wedding day went perfectly, if there were issues I had no idea because Gina and her staff handled everything! You will not be disappointed with them.

She was a great communicator as we planned our destination wedding. She was exceptional at remembering the small, but important, details. She also made sure we were happy with every detail, and it's important to like everything; Gina made it easy for us to speak up if something was off. She curated a detailed day-of timeline and helped facilitate our dress rehearsal. With the provided decor, she set up all the decorations, tables, seating charts, florals, etc and took them down. There wasn't anything Gina couldn't do! She kept us on track throughout the day, made sure we were hydrated and happy. I feel like she really knows how to communicate and manage people....she is professional and personable, serious about work and fun to work with....she is solution oriented and creative...she is easily accessable....she advocates for her clients.....i just think she is fabulous. she offered a fair price for tremendous value. knowing what i know now, she should charge more!! then again, i would never have hired her/anyone if she did just because i was so intimidated by higher price points....so im personally really appreciative that she offered her services at the price point that she did. i highly highly highly recommend working with Gina! In an industry that can make you feel high and dry with your hard earned money to put together your well deserved saved-up-for wedding, she's got your back and you will be so appreciative for her. at least, that's my experience!

It just went to show how wonderful she is and how much she cared about us having the weekend we envisioned. It was clear how hard she worked to make all our visions come to life, and she exceeded everything we could have asked for. We absolutely love her as a planner and as a person.

As a type-A planner who had all of our wedding vendors booked within 6 months of getting engaged, I thought I could handle the wedding day on my own. However as we got closer to the big day, I realized I didn't want to take care of logistics on the wedding day. That's when I found Lucid Events and hired them for day of coordination. Gina helped me through all our final steps of wedding planning such as creating a timeline, making a rain contingency plan, and scheduling our final vendor meetings. Alexis was there for our ceremony rehearsal and wedding day and she went above and beyond to make the day run completely smooth, despite it raining all day. She handled transitioning guests from one activity to the next, working with vendors, bringing us drinks all night long, and overseeing cleanup. I 100% believe that without Lucid Events, I would not have enjoyed our wedding day as much as I did. It was the best day of my life and a huge part of that was their help!

We envisioned a semi-destination wedding weekend extravaganza in beautiful Mendocino, CA with both ceremony and reception outdoors but at different venues. We immediately felt overwhelmed and decided to hire a planner to take some of the stress off. Lucid Events wasn't the cheapest quote we received for wedding planning & day of coordination services, but Gina went above and beyond others right off the bat showing us she could deliver by immediately researching and getting us the right state park forms necessary to secure our ceremony venue and date - before we even officially decided to work with her! Once the contract was signed, Gina was an excellent weekly brainstorming partner and advisor for everything wedding related - from putting together the planning timeline & tasks for all of us to invitation and decor ideas, napkin folds, ways to cut costs with florals, cake delivery advice, researching hard to find vendors and keeping me (the bride) from melting down! During our actual wedding weekend, Gina made it so that I was able to really be present with my guests and actually enjoy my own wedding day instead of worrying about all the logistics, whether things were being set up correctly and if everything was on-time. She saved the day (multiple times from what I heard afterwards) when vendors arrived late, didn't bring certain contracted items and some setup got mixed up between the ceremony & reception sites. She also personally saved this forgetful bride TWICE when I forgot my bouquet both right before I was supposed to walk down the aisle and again right before the bouquet toss. I highly recommend Gina and Lucid Events for wedding planning and day-of-coordination services if you want to be able to relax and enjoy your big day. She was willing to flex to collaborate and take on as much or as little as I wanted her to during the design and planning phase and it was so easy to work with her even over VC. In addition, Gina is a lightning fast problem solver for any hiccups that might arise on the day of (and they inevitably will for any event no matter how well you plan & prepare).
