Experiencia fantástica: Gena at B Wed was amazing. I’ve always wanted a destination wedding (but was a little worried about logistics)and she could not have made it less complicated. She specializes in smaller, intimate weddings which was perfect. I’d call mine a family vacation that ended with our wedding. I picked the Governor Thomas Bennett house for the garden and when a cold front came in the night before I was so sad because not only was it cold, but it was extremely windy. Gena told me not to worry (easier said than done), but we moved it inside and it could not have turned out more beautiful. I found her at The Knot and I’m truly thankful.

Experiencia fantástica: After a wonderful, romantic visit to Charleston four years ago, my fiancé and I knew a small 20 guest destination wedding there was exactly what we wanted when the time came. I thought I could plan it myself (along with my talented party-planning Charleston aunt) but we soon realized we desperately needed the help of a professional. Cue Gena and BWed Charleston. From the moment I signed up with Gena my stress level went down and I began to actually enjoy the wedding planning process. She works methodically and takes you step-by-step through the process with a series of detailed questionnaires. Her friendliness, enthusiasm and expertise cannot be beat. The amazing vendors Gena hired for the ceremony were all top notch (shoutout to Lauren the hair and makeup artist and Adrienne the photographer!). Gena also had no problem accommodating my extra requests, including chairs for the park ceremony, booking the Pink Figgy car for a spectacular photo backdrop, and enabling us to make a high-spirited departure in a blinged out 'Just Married’ bike taxi with a floral arch. I was hesitant about having to let go of the reins on picking vendors, but when I tell you… Gena exceeded my expectations in every single aspect of our day (ESPECIALLY the vendors). As a type A, OCD, picky yet indecisive bride, I can GENUINELY say, there isn’t a SINGLE THING I would’ve changed about our day. She was so patient with me and my millions of questions and so extremely thorough in remembering all the little details. She absolutely knocked my vision for my wedding out of the park! There isn’t a single detail she didn’t think of or have covered. If you are at all hesitant about going this route, do NOT be. You will NOT regret using B Wed and their vendors! My only complaint is that I can’t live the day all over again!

This was my first wedding, and I just found it so overwhelming and time consuming to figure the flowers, the venue, the officiant, etc. I found bWed on the internet and got in touch with Gena, and the rest is history! First, LOVE LOVE Gena! She is so easy to get along with. The kind of person you feel like you've known since you were kids. She is fun, on point, super detailed oriented, and organized. She gives you a timed scheduled on the day of the wedding even, which I LOVED being a very punctual person myself! The whole thing, from the ceremony to the pictures, to the amazing hair stylist just flowed so easily. It was very stress-free. Both Carl and I had FUN with all the girls: Gena, the photographer, Cameron, the officiant, all were just fun, uplifting people! And I CANNOT forget the most beautiful bouquet. I don't know who Gena uses, but I was so in love with my bouquet. It was STUNNING! PERFECT! The pictures we received were awesome! Cameron has lots of cool ideas and the pictures just flowed for her. We picked Charlestown Landing. I loved all the different places and backdrops you can do there, and it did not disappoint! I cannot say enough about bWed. If you want a stress-free, FUN, and of course beautiful wedding without all the cost and scores of people, THIS is your place!

Then when we decided 2023 was the year I stumbled upon BWed’s website and reached out because she had the most good reviews online. I fully expected her to say we didn’t have enough time to plan a wedding in less than five months. Boy was I wrong. She immediately got to work on our elopement and when I say stress free (for me) I mean stress free. All I had to do was check in every few days and make final decisions. She went and found all the things and took care of all the details. We eloped +4 guests and it really felt like Gena was our 5th guest. She had everything figured out to the minute for the big day and I couldn’t have been happier. To be able to just show up to your destination wedding and not stress over the details is priceless. Gena is an expert in her field and I would trust her to plan literally anything for me. She found our venue and recommended our hotel. She took care of my bouquet, the musician, photographer, and officiant. She held my hand along the way and made tiny suggestions here and there that really made a big difference. She is an absolute gem. If you’re getting married and need help, please call Gena. The only time I panicked was after the wedding when it was time for her to go. She’s incredible, ten stars.

Experiencia fantástica: This is an AMAZING option If you don’t want a big wedding but you want all the key elements. My husband and I are very kept to ourselves and wanted all the memories of a wedding without breaking our bank, having to plan the whole thing, or just doing the court house. b Wed. Was the BEST option we could have chose. Our pictures are beautiful. The wedding day was seemless and stress free. They came and did my hair and makeup, hand delivered the cake and champagne to our room. Had our officiant and photographer ready for us. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

We had been told by numerous other couples how stressful the planning process could be and we were both very busy at work, so having a coordinator for our elopement was a lifesaver. Going into the process, we didn’t have any ideas on what to do and Gena handled everything we needed, including selecting an officiant and photographer, making suggestions on locations, sending helpful reminders and checklists, and was incredibly responsive throughout the whole process. Experiencia fantástica: Our wedding was perfect thanks to b Wed Charleston! I reached out to Gena exactly 4 months before our wedding date. We had just decided to elope, and the countdown was on. I was feeling a little stressed and nervous about the whole process, but Gena calmed my nerves and made everything magic! Here are a few of my favorite things about working with Gena: 1) Completely stress free! Her packages take the guess work out of the whole process and really simplify planning. It minimizes the choices you have to make and completely removes stress. This was especially important to me since we had a short timeline and were planning from a distance for a destination elopement. I tell everyone that I only had to pick my dress and my husband. Gena took care of the rest! 2) Access to the very best vendors. It was nice to have someone make arrangements for me, but also a bit of a risk! Turns out, I didn’t have anything to worry about. Every single vendor that Gena selected for our day was beyond perfect. Everyone raved about the flowers, the cake, the pictures, hair and makeup, etc. Not being from Charleston, there is NO way I would have done that good picking everything myself. Gena only works with the best! 3) Supporting women-owned businesses. This was important to me on my big day. I wanted to support women entrepreneurs—especially during COVID! Pretty much every dollar we spent went to women-owned businesses thanks to Gena and b Wed. 4) Excellent communication. Gena is SO responsive and stays in close communication throughout the process. I never wondered where anything stood because she was so proactive and detail oriented. 5) Surprisingly affordable! One reason we decided to elope was the cost. Everyone knows that weddings are expensive, but not everyone knows it doesn’t have to be that way! Our day was everything we wanted and it was a fraction of the cost we would have spent on a traditional wedding or even compared to some other elopement and “minimonies” vendors. Gena is worth every penny and then some. It’s been one month since we got married, and my husband and I keep talking about how stress-free and fun our day was. Saving money and time was nice, but the most important thing that Gena did for us was allow us to focus on each other and our guests for our wedding day rather than worrying about a bunch of details. We are so grateful for her and cannot recommend her and b Wed Charleston enough!

Experiencia fantástica: I initially had a budget that I was sticking to - since I consider myself a planner and the wedding was very small- I didn't factor in any additional help. Closer to our date, I became overwhelmed and realized that help was something I desperately needed. So I asked my sister to handle a few simple tasks and when she failed to take them seriously, I knew I would need to hire help. We live in Atlanta but we were getting married in Charleston, so that person would need to be Charleston based. I did my due diligence researching Day Of Coordinators and when I came upon bWed Charleston, my first impression was she answered me right away and each time I communicated with her, the response was immediate. That alone is priceless for an out-of-state bride! Her price compared to others was reasonable but her attitude, her take it another step initiative was something I would have paid extra for! Gena became a VERY intricate and important element in event - looking back at things now, the day would have never turned out as perfect as it did with out her assistance. She took the initiative to handle everything I couldn't being out of state. We finally met the day of the wedding because she took the extra step to meet and pick up the toast items. She met with the venue point of contact and sent me pictures of the space, I could go on. She was my surrogate and handled everything instinctively like I would have. Experiencia fantástica: Working with Gena at B Wed was a dream! We wanted to elope to Charleston, SC but had never been there. We contacted Gena to inquire about her elopement packages and she was very responsive. The initial thing was all set up within a few days with her contacting us with updates in the months prior to our big day. A bridge at the venue we selected had been damaged due to a fallen tree and she informed us as well as kept checking in with the venue to see if it had been fixed yet. All of the vendors she put together for us were incredible especially the makeup/hair stylist Carrie and our photographer Melissa! My bouquet and boutonnière were exactly what I wanted. The florist even provided color coordinating suggestions to help make sure the bouquet matched my husband’s suit. The day-of coordination was the best! Gena was there when we got married and even helped with some of the effects in our pictures! (She’s holding the veil in one of the pictures below!). Overall we could have not had a better experience getting married. I would definitely recommend Gena for your big day!!
