Experiencia negativa: We had a terrible experience with this company and fired them before the wedding. They gave my daughter, the bride to be, endless questionnaires to fill out and took us to a shabby looking business outside of our town for the flowers and rentals. We later heard that Fairy Godmother Events receives kickbacks from certain businesses, If true, it's shameful. I'd have rather paid more and supported a local business. Terrible experience and cannot recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: From a wedding vendor to another: Colleen and her team know how to plan a wedding! If any bride is on the fence about hiring them as coordinators, just do it! The Fair Godmother are notorious for taking the stress out of planning for their brides. But from my own experience of the day of, I can always tell it's a Fairy wedding because the bride is always so chill and everything is promptly being taken care of. I'm also impressed by how the Fairies treat the vendors as well, it makes me feel all special as well. No bride has to worry about anything on her wedding day when the Fair Godmother and team are there. This team truly does make the dream wedding of their brides' come true, like a Fairy Godmother.

My first initial thought was “I can plan my own wedding”, but a part of me knew I was a busy person with a busy job and might not be able to. I had an initial meeting to get to know their packages and price points. I went with the full service. They meet with you multiple times, throughout the process, I hired them about 16 months out from the wedding and they helped with every detail. Providing me lists of vendors, a budget plan, a timeline, payment plan, design deck, and follow ups. They got my vision perfectly! I originally started working with Brooke she was very supportive, had great ideas, but unfortunately she had to leave a few months before the wedding. As you can imagine I was freaking out as she knew all the details. How can another person come along so close to the wedding. I met with Miranda and she put my nerves to ease! She went above and beyond to get up to speed with everything. The day before for rehearsal, she was there guiding everything. And the day of the wedding, I had absolutely no stress over how everything was being set up, if every was going to be ready on time, her and her team did such an AMAZING job from start to finish! everything turned out so beautiful. Planning a wedding can be intimidating and overwhelming, and I am someone who thrives off planning, organizing, and designing. However, I found myself thinking, "where the heck do I start?". For me, it was calling Colleen. I knew immediately that I liked her energy and her get down to business attitude. When she told me she had guides, checklists, examples of previous work...she had me. Along the way, Colleen helped calm me down when I got nervous about timing and helped reach out to vendors to make sure the right questions were asked and answered. Along the way I got to work with Kimberly, an expert design member of the Fairy Godmother team. I was nervous at first because I am a creative myself, and I can be particular when it comes to my vision. Kimberly managed to perfectly match the vibe I was going for and gave fantastic suggestions for where to find decor to make that vision come to life. Even with all my questions, she remained patient and kind, answering each one. She made me feel like the artwork I contributed was a main focus and that small gesture went a long way. Clearly I can write a lot about the two of them (and everyone else on the team), but the best way to sum up their work were the constant comments from our guests..."I have never seen a wedding run so smoothly"..."Everything started on time but nothing felt forced"..."This was the best timeline I have ever seen put together"..."I honestly can't think of one thing about this wedding that didn't go well". As a younger couple my wife and I were sometimes not taken seriously by vendors when we were planning on our own. I had done a lot of the initial planning myself but with a short window from start to wedding date (5 months!), I ended up hiring FG about 3 months out. Miranda was on it! I have no doubt that my wedding would not have been as beautiful, seamless, and stress-free without her. She was attentive, kind, thoughtful, a true guidance when needed, and the literal glue that kept everything together. My only regret is that I didn't hire her sooner in the process!

I looked into a few different wedding planners when I first got engaged & interviewed a couple of them. Naturally, I left the best for last - which was, of course, Fairy Godmother. She was the only planner I met with that had her own office space (an adorable one at that) & who had examples galore to show me. The moment she brought out her binder of wedding planning sheets, detailed documents, timelines, & slideshow for design - it was hook, line & sinker for me. We booked her that very next day. I booked her about a year & a half before my wedding & she started the planning process with me right away. She did the most amazing job at making me feel like I was the only bride she had. She always answered my calls, emails, & texts within the day & put any worries I had to rest. Any time we had a touch base call - which was often - she made me feel at ease & reminded me that I was ahead of schedule & to take a minute to breathe. She truly cares about her clients & makes sure everything runs smoothly. She has different packages that can fit anyone's budget from full planning, the month of, day of coordination - or just chat with her & she could work with what your needs are. I chose full planning because we were planning a 250-person wedding. She recommended the most amazing vendors that anyone could choose from & even connected us via text or email. She was the main liaison between us & our vendors to ensure everyone was on the same page; she even made sure she went over any contracts we had to ensure everything booked got executed correctly. During the planning process, she sent me a series of documents to fill out for details of the wedding party, what style I love, & my dream design, she created my budget documents, sent me all the notes she took during every single one of our touch base phone calls & made me think about aspects of the wedding day I would have NEVER thought of myself. As we neared the last 7ish months before the wedding, decided to completely cancel our large wedding, move the date & move the now 30-person intimate wedding to a new city; without so much of a blink of an eye, Colleen said no problem, where are we going & what do you want to do? Things changed again so we decided to keep it in Bakersfield & Colleen, again, went with the flow, not bothered whatsoever. It was truly such a relief to have her helping me every step of the way. Enter other members of her fairy team - like Sara D. - my designer. Immaculate, impeccable, & pristine are the words I would use to describe her & her work. She took my Pinterest board & my vision & completely created a design that was completely outside of my expectations. There was an issue with guests who didn't RSVP who RSVP'd at the last minute & we would have been short chairs - well leave it to the Fairy team to get it taken care of. They have amazing relationships with wedding pros & can get things handled because of how well their team works & the professionalism they bring. While at rehearsal the day before, the grass wasn't cut at the venue. Colleen was able to get it taken care of & the venue was in pristine condition just in time for the wedding. I truly was in awe of their work. Finally, come the day of the wedding. Colleen's setup team arrived along with my designer, Sara & they executed the most amazing ceremony & reception I could have EVER imagined; every detail I wanted was done - every picture I had framed was placed around so beautifully, & every single one of my candles was lit without anyone even noticing when they were lit or by whom, they moved my flowers from the ceremony to the reception & we were kept on time with the timeline of our day. As a wedding photographer, I get to see firsthand how my clients' experiences are on their wedding day and it's always 100% better when Fairy Godmother is a part of the day. Not only do they make sure everything runs so smoothly, they dream up the most beautiful designs for their clients - custom to each one and they are always so unique. I am always ecstatic when I hear that the Fairy Godmother team will be a part of one of my client's weddings because not only do they take complete care of their clients and make sure the day is stress-free, they also make sure to take great care of all of the vendors involved, which makes for a perfectly seamless day. They ask what I need throughout the day as a vendor to make the photos turn out as best as possible for our clients (florals for the flat lays, for example, or something to hold up to cover a sunflare). I can't stress enough how important communication is between vendors on a wedding day, and they completely nail it. They are always easy to find (some coordinators disappear and you can never find them when you need them). They are just ALWAYS there when you need them - be it for the clients OR a vendor. Both me and my fiancé are from out of town but my family and relatives live in Bakersfield, so it goes without saying how stressful it can be planning such an event from far. However, not only was the planning painless but the ceremony in itself was magical thanks to Colleen. She truly is the Fairy Godmother!

Experiencia fantástica: I had an amazing time working with Colleen and her team! They were absolutely amazing in putting everything together for my sister's engagement. We had only a month and half to bring it all together and they were exceptional at bringing everything together in such a short amount of time. Also, took care of everything the day of the engagement. It was so stressful, but having Fairy Godmother there made the whole event run much smoother and I could actually enjoy the event and not worry about something going wrong because I knew they can take care of any issues. They were very coordinated in bringing all the vendors together and creating a timeline for the day of the event. They remained in contact with all vendors and addressed any concerns they had and immediately answered all questions and concerns. Honestly, Fairy Godmother Events really aided in making sure the engagement ran smoothly!

Experiencia fantástica: Colleen & her group at Fairy Godmother could not have been better for our wedding. From a groom's point of view, every last detail was covered to ensure a great experience. The ability to have a detailed itinerary with who should be where / when / why etc. made the weekend run as smooth as possible. Also, being the point person for the other vendors to go to with questions really took a lot of stress of my wife. Couldn't recommend them enough for all of the work they did to make our day fantastic.

Experiencia fantástica: I had 8 months to plan my wedding so I knew I would need a coordinator, I was assigned to Sara & from the very beginning she was always prompt. Numerous calls & texts throughout the whole process & she ALWAYS got back to me within minutes. Fast forward to the day of my wedding, Sara was truly amazing. I could sit here & write an essay on how perfect she was. Never in my life have I felt so special. I wish that I could go back to that day just so I could relive those moments with her. She made me feel like a celebrity. If I was thirsty she had a water or some kind of beverage in front of me within seconds. If I needed to reapply lipstick she had it on her reapplying it for me. (Funny story) I needed bug spray because there were mosquitoes & I thought “that’s impossible who would think to bring bug spray” & within a minute she was spraying me with bug repellent. Nothing went wrong the day of & if it did I had no idea because her main priority was to make ME happy. & she did just that. At the end of the night when she gave me a hug & told me she was leaving I felt like I had to say bye to a friend. The whole experience was truly one I will never forget & Sara is the one who I need to thank for that. Both my husband & I give her all the credit for making our wedding the one of our dreams. In fact, I didn’t even dream of it being so perfect but Sara made it an event that people will never forget. Sara is truly the best & if you have a choice on who you can choose for your fairy, please pick her!

Experiencia fantástica: When it comes to a planning a wedding. Especially your wedding, you don’t wanna do it alone. Your expectations on how perfect the day should turn out are all you can think about at the time. When we decided to hire a wedding planner, we already had our theme in mind which was Disney. So when we heard of the fairy godmother it only seemed perfect for us. Our very own fairy godmother was Cassandra. She was really nice, exciting and very professional. We loved how creative she was and her ability to help us envision our special day. She was very professional, Straight forward and easy to work it. Most importantly she was very comforting through the entire process of planning. When our nerves increased she was there to reassure us positively every step of the way. She was very organized and informative and she worked well with our budget. On our wedding day she and her staff made it magical. Thanks to her and her team they helped us pick the perfect vendors and create a magnificent vintage Disney themed wedding. They followed through on schedule and made it easy for our guest to enjoy themselves. Cassandra was always there for us when we needed her even after the wedding. When it came to picking a wedding planner we were so blessed to have found her. So a huge thank you to Cassandra and Colleen and the entire Fairy Godmother staff for making our wedding magical.

Experiencia fantástica: When my daughter was engaged, I knew that I wanted help on her wedding day so that I to could enjoy the day. I had chosen Fairy Godmother a Wedding and Event company to interview and invited my daughter and husband-to-be to come to the “meet the client” with a Godmother specially chosen for us by Colleen Bauer the owner. They were so impressed with the organizational skills, knowledge and genuine concern demonstrated that they decided to hire the company to manage their entire wedding. It was simple gorgeous and every detail was perfect. Fast forward a few years to sadly my husband passing away just a few weeks ago. Colleen and I had stayed in touch through Facebook; make sure to check out their page, when once again she amazed me with her special brand of magic and kindness. I mentioned that after the funeral services there would be a reception at the house and Colleen contacted me and offered to have a Godmother tend to me on that day as a gift. What an amazing woman! The Godmother she chose, Janet, once again was a perfect fit and handled the details of setting up the reception and guiding the catering while I was at the services so that when we arrived home, it was a smooth transition as people were welcomed into the house by Janet until I could arrive. She ensured that food and beverages were kept stocked, she made flower arrangements for the tables among many other details that made the day end on a note of love and compassion from friends as we shared stories about my husband with smiles and laughter. Colleen and her company embody what is good in this world. Through their compassion and hard work, a very difficult day was made easier for me. Using Fairy Godmother is a Wedding and Event Company for any event you may hold will be one of the best decisions you could ever make.
