From the start, they were so easy to work with and just made everything feel way less overwhelming, Josh's knowledge about holding and planning events shows so quickly once you meet him and we quickly realized how thankful we were to have been reccomended to him. Anytime we had questions throughout the entire process, they were quick to respond and always made me feel like we weren’t being annoying. Negative experience: Choosing a wedding venue is about trust. Based on how Makers House Weddings presents itself, I believed I was selecting a polished, well-run venue that understood the significance of such an important day. That trust was misplaced. Throughout the process, basic expectations around communication and follow-through were repeatedly missed. When problems came up, they were met with deflection rather than solutions, leaving us to manage stress that should never fall on a couple planning their wedding. The level of organization and care promised upfront did not carry through in practice. What’s most disappointing is that many of these situations could have been avoided with clearer communication and a willingness to take responsibility. A wedding isn’t a routine booking — it’s a milestone moment. When couples are paying premium rates, they reasonably expect clarity, responsiveness, and support. Instead, we often felt sidelined when raising valid concerns. A luxury label means very little if concerns are minimized rather than addressed. At this level of investment, couples deserve consistency, accountability, and a team that actively works to protect the experience they are selling.

From start to finish, he built out our Kentucky event seamlessly and was present every step of the way to ensure every question, concern, and last minute adjustment was handled with complete professionalism and calm. Negative experience: Their business tactics are horrible.They are rude and trashy. I could only compare it to how rude it would be to purchase a 2021 Yukon and blame local businesses about all your problems. They like to claim their negative reviews are from their competitors. I can promise you they are not. It is just karma.

Negative experience: Do not go here! Unbelievably rude staff. Josh was very condescending to me and an outright sleezeball. Most unprofessional interaction I have ever experienced. Terrible

Negative experience: We were contracted by Josh for an annual event they manage, The Louisville Polo Club match at Oxmoor Polo Club. This was an annual event, while our contribution was only a single dumpster we enjoyed working with Josh. Then he failed to pay his bill. Stating "we paid that" but provided no proof of payment, having sent no check. I have been very patient with Josh, bill being overdue by a year now. When contacted, he gets antagonistic and and unprofessional . Be advised when using for other services.
