Fantastic experience: I’ve still been floating from our beautiful wedding day at Park Winters, but I really wanted to leave this review to recommend Mae at Beyond Smitten Events for any future brides! My husband and I decided to go with the “Month-of-Coordination” package since our wedding was going to be smaller and more intimate with a guest count in the 40s and since I am that Type A bride who plans way too much for her own good. Although I had thought we had most of the work done on our own, we quickly realized during our check-in meetings the real value of having a professional coordinator on our team. Mae was so easy to work with, calm, gentle, and most importantly, she was fully supportive and made us feel comfortable with our own visions and ideas for a wedding that did not fit the “traditional” template of a wedding. We really appreciated her responsiveness via email and text, her communication with our vendors and venue, and for her incredible flexibility on our wedding day despite the unpredictable on-and-off rain. She and her assistant still managed to keep everything running smoothly so that we didn’t have to worry about anything, and our wedding day still turned out SO beautiful and special! From the very first moment we met with her, we were both enchanted by the charm of her beautifully peaceful and calm demeanor. She kept our budget on point and never tried to push extras we didn’t want, but she also spoke up when a choice might backfire. That honesty saved us from more than a few bad calls. The standout moment for us was right before the wedding when our dog boarding caretaker threatened to have our puppy picked up for “aggression” (spoiler: the dog was just being a puppy). Without missing a beat, Mae stepped in, de-escalated the whole thing, and made sure our furry family member was safe and cared for, all while keeping wedding prep running smoothly. That kind of problem-solving under pressure is priceless. Fantastic experience: Mae is an amazing wedding Planner. I worked with her as a vendor on a wedding in August and she was not only easy to work with, but was ahead of everything. Before the wedding, I had everything I needed to arrive and know exactly where I was going and where to park and unload. She was very responsive and easy to get a hold of on the day of. Fantastic experience: Mae and her team were incredible! I didnt necessarily love wedding planning but Mae made it easier and less stressful. We originally had our wedding venue booked in Foresthill, CA but due to a fire that happened a month before our wedding, we had to change venues 2 weeks before our wedding date, to a venue in Pleasant Grove, CA. Mae’s calm demeanor and knowledge of the industry made us feel at ease with the last minute change. Our wedding would not have gone as smooth as it did without her and her team. She helped us prep for all things wedding related a few months prior as well as being on-site for the rehearsal & day-of wedding coordination with her team. During planning, she was always available via phone or email when we had questions. You can tell she really cares about each and every one of her clients and will do whatever she can to make their wedding day seamless. Writing this review makes us feel so grateful for everything Mae and her team did to make our wedding absolutely perfect!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I are beyond grateful for Mae and everything she did for us leading up to/ on our wedding day. She basically took my vision/pinterest board and made it happen in real life. Her help was much appreciated during the stressful planning and decision making (since I am super indecisive and my husband simply does not have an opinion about decor). Fantastic experience: Mae Mallon was our coordinator and she truly went above and beyond to meet our expectations. Before the wedding she was always a calm understanding person to talk to while planning. We also learned so much from her on the journey to the big day. Mae totally got our vibe, our inspirations, and really got to know us as well. Providing multiple options to every venue or vendor, she proved to be so flexible. And then on the wedding day she was like superwoman. She was meeting everyone, directing the crowd, checking food we wanted to reheat in the oven, checking on us, grabbing us food, and when our officiant got sick...Mae stepped up to officiate our wedding! This made the whole thing so much more emotional, she had been there on this road with us. She saw us be silly, serious, flirtly, & argumentative with one another but she always remained so sweet and poised. When the day came I realized I had nothing to worry about and was able to let go. It was really the best day our lives that we will never forget, and we definitely will never forget all the amazing work Mae did.

We didn't feel like another client in a spreadsheet, she was authentically enthusiastic. Mae was on top of her game and executed our planning details into the most gorgeous set up. She was calm, collected, and worked with what we wanted with ease. She established trust so easily that on the wedding day I had no worries about any details. I had multiple guests come up to me and tell me the timing of the wedding was amazing. They appreciated the flow and never felt rushed or stuck. All our vendors (and their timelines) were seamlessly managed, there weren't any hiccups.

Fantastic experience: She helped Roland and I make sure our wedding day was perfect, since the start she has been very easy to talk to and always responsive. If I needed recommendations for other vendors she was my go to and she recommended really good people. Mae referred our DJ and transportation after hearing I was having a difficult time finding the right fit. Mae is an amazing wedding planner and she made our special day as my husband would say “smooth”. She made sure problems were taken care of big or small (luckily ours was very minor) and was always there for us making sure we had a great time. I didn’t have a florist because I arranged fake flowers to save money, but Mae and her team setup our venues and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend her to anyone newly engaged and if you want a trusted person, Mae and her team are it.

Fantastic experience: When we decided to pick a wedding coordinator it was right before the beginning of the pandemic. We envisioned someone that would help us make decisions, guide us through the process of planning our wedding, and someone who knew what they were doing. We chose Mae with Beyond Smitten Events because she hit all those boxes and so much more. She helped us choose a venue, she suggested vendors that fit our style and price range, she was always polite, stern when vendors when things were off, and always wanted what was best for us and our wedding. Mae made everything about planning a wedding less stressful and more manageable for us both. Not only did Mae do all of that, she also did it during a pandemic. A pandemic where everything to everyone involved in the wedding industry was uncharted territory. From restrictions on how food was served to restrictions on guest count, Mae was able to navigate the state and vendors guidelines and translate that and make a normal wedding out of it. Mae had to act on her toes this past year and she performed wonderfully. The day of our wedding, Mae had pulled together every loose end and we showed up to a beautifully decorated venue. Mae knew that we were not too keen to the details, but knew that we wanted it to “look like a wedding”. From the table flowers, to the candle votives, to the gift favors, everything was placed with such care. Everything was spectacular. She catered to what we wanted our wedding to be and she absolutely killed it. Mae was worth every dollar and she is worth so much more.

Fantastic experience: I'm so very thankful that my husband and I found & booked Mae as our wedding planner! She is super sweet, friendly, considerate, organized, professional (she always arrived early), and incredibly thorough (all qualities that I genuinely admire in a person)! I found her browsing on Yelp, The Knot, and another wedding website that I can't think of at the moment. As a busy medical student, I knew I needed help planning my dream wedding (especially since my now husband was away for business at the very beginning of the planning process). I reached out to Mae and mentioned my busy schedule, which she understood and didn't think my delayed emails were me blowing her off. I also explained the situation with my fiancé (now husband), so she was able to accommodate us and meet with us when he returned. Thankfully she was available for our initial wedding date of October 3, 2020. We hired Mae for partial wedding planning services, since we already booked our venue by the time we met with her. She is an excellent resource for other wedding vendors (such a florists, photographers, videographers, etc...) within our budget! She was also able to save us some money for our save the date magnets and invitations. Mae also gave us some much needed guidance throughout the wedding planning process. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic altered our wedding plans. Mae was in touch with us throughout the changes and even accommodated us when we pushed back our larger wedding celebration to May 2021. That being said, Mae patiently worked with us for about a year and a half (which is quite a long time). The day of our big wedding was exactly how I envisioned it! The decorations and the set up was absolutely beautiful! Mae took care a lot of the questions the vendors had, so my husband and I could enjoy our special day. Overall, my husband and I are very pleased with Mae's services! She is a very knowledgeable, thorough, professional, organized, and friendly wedding coordinator! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking her if you are in need of a wedding planner!
