Fantastic experience: Kim was amazing! We hired her as our 3 month wedding coordinator, but even a year out she was very willing to answer our questions and give us vendor recommendations. She went to every final vendor meeting with us and created a very comprehensive timeline that she updated constantly. Our wedding day went completely smoothly and was stress free for everyone thanks to Kim!

Fantastic experience: We absolutely LOVE Kim and the Olive and Rose team! My husband and I live out of state so we knew we needed a great wedding planner local to Pittsburgh to help us plan our multi-day, multi-cultural wedding weekend. From the beginning, Kim helped us get organized by mapping out timelines, helped us sort out our budget, and really listened to our vision - and she helped us bring it all to life! No ask from us was too big or too small for Kim. She connected us with all the best vendors in the area (and even helped us contract vendors from outside the area) and facilitated communication and calls with all of them, arranged in-person meetings and tastings, all around our schedule. Her exceptional pre-planning was just what we needed to ensure our wedding and sangeet vision came to life flawlessly. Kim's support the week of the wedding was also unmatched. She and her team handled everything from start to finish - vendor set up/tear down, logistics, event run through, etc. and it truly allowed me, my husband and our families to sit back and enjoy the perfect weekend that she helped us create! My husband and I still say that hiring Kim was the best decision for our wedding - we could not recommend her enough!

Fantastic experience: We hired Kim from Olive & Rose for our September wedding, and I’m so glad we did! My husband was a bit skeptical at first, thinking we could handle everything ourselves—but now he’ll tell you it was one of the best decisions we made. I’m naturally a planner and a DIYer, and with a backyard wedding, I knew we’d need some extra help along the way. I’ll admit, I panicked a little when Kim reached out to ask if I’d be okay with her passing our wedding to another coordinator. In the end, I agreed—because I wanted to make sure another bride had her perfect day, too—and I’m so thankful I did. Kim introduced me to Ali Simcho from Wanderlust Weddings, and she was absolutely wonderful. We had several Zoom meetings to ensure she was completely up to speed on my vision. Between Kim, Ali, and Ali’s assistant Ashley, our wedding day was everything I had dreamed of and more. They made sure we had everything we needed from the rental company, that the caterer was fully set up, and handled countless little details behind the scenes that made the day run flawlessly. Ali also went above and beyond the day of the wedding—she was able to switch gears quickly when our original ceremony spot was overtaken by the band setup. With a big pivot and some fast coordination with the bridal party, she made it all work perfectly. It turned out even better than I imagined! I can’t recommend Olive & Rose (and their amazing partners) enough! They made our day stress-free, beautiful, and absolutely unforgettable.

She guided us through every step of planning, helped us discover our style, and brought our vision to life even better than we imagined. Kim has an incredible network of vendors and helped us build a dream team that felt like the perfect fit for us. When a last-minute issue came up with my original hair and makeup team, Kim immediately went into problem-solving mode. She reached out to her trusted connections and quickly found me an incredible team that I loved. On the big day, she had everything organized to perfection (down to the last detail on her meticulous timeline) so we could relax and enjoy every moment. From the very beginning she embraced the secretive and playful spirit of our plan and made the entire experience fun, stress free, and full of joy. We set out to surprise our family and include them in our wedding day without them knowing beforehand which meant we had to get creative and Kim did not fall short. She thought through every detail, helped us craft a meaningful and beautiful experience, and somehow managed to keep everything a secret until the very moment we said “I do.” Even when our one year old was not feeling his best on the big day she went out of her way to make sure he felt loved and included. The florals were stunning, the furniture rentals were perfect, and the romantic nighttime ceremony she helped us pull off felt like something out of a dream. It was so unique and special that our story ended up being featured in multiple news outlets, magazines and newspapers which speaks to just how unforgettable this day was. We truly could not have done it without Kim. She brought warmth, professionalism, and a sense of adventure to every step of the process and turned what could have been stressful into one of the most magical experiences of our lives.

Fantastic experience: As a wedding photographer of nearly 16 years, when I see Kim's name as the planner I am always so thrilled. Kim is an amazing and talented woman with an incredible eye for design. She is also task and detail oriented, both knowing how to make sure that the wedding day and planning process runs smoothly but also putting the work in to making sure that you're having your best day. Fantastic experience: My husband and I hired Kim for her month-of coordination services, but she was SO much more than that! Kim went above and beyond for us in every way possible, it almost felt like we had a full-time planner. Not only did she respond to my initial inquiry in less than 24 hours, but after we hired her, she was there with us from day one, answering any questions we had on potential vendors or just general advice. She was also really flexible with timing when it came to our final meetings with our vendors. My husband and I live in San Francisco and would only be in Pittsburgh the first week of September for our final meetings, which was outside of the one-month mark for our wedding (October 26). Kim made sure she was able to attend those meetings, plus a meeting just the two of us to go over final details. On the day of the wedding, Kim and her team completely blew me away with their organization and attention to detail. From making sure everyone was exactly where they needed to be, down to assembling our cookie boxes and passing out glow sticks to our guests, I did not have to lift a single finger on my wedding day. Also, at the end of the night, she took care of tear down coordination and delivered all of our personal items to our suite. It was so amazing not having to worry about those details at the end of our wedding so we could continue to our after-party with our guests! If you want a stress-free wedding, hire Olive & Rose!!

We had planned most of the wedding ourselves and were just looking for someone to be the main point of contact on the day of the wedding and make sure everything ran smoothly and according to plan. Kim was that and so much more! Kim has so much experience with weddings and knows what questions to ask or what details may be overlooked. She coordinated donation of our florals and set up final meetings with all of our vendors to ensure we were all on the same page prior to the wedding day. She put together a detailed timeline so everyone involved knew where to be and when. Our day went so smoothly in large part to Kim and her team. Fantastic experience: From the very first time my husband and I engaged with Olive and Rose, we were given such personal attention and thoughtful direction. Kim knew to pair us with Shelby right away, as she is also employed by our reception venue. That is only the beginning of the ways Shelby was a perfect fit. Her supreme levels of attention to detail, schedule, and task completion were only topped by her warmth, vivacity, and compassion. You will never feel like just another customer with Shelby. The path to a great wedding is well-trodden, but Shelby will encourage you to express yourself in any and all parts of the experience. She defended our vision and choices to all vendors, even to those that were exclusively attached to our wedding venue. This led to cost savings for us and refined what we truly wanted out of our wedding. As the day grew closer, Shelby's mastery of her craft only became more clear. So also did her guidance over the final details! When we were at our wits end (it seemed), she was ready with an encouraging word and a realistic piece of advice. She never tried to upsell us. She never let a detail slip by. She was unpretentious, flawlessly positive, and present - like a good friend. To all considering hiring Olive and Rose, we advise going with a package that starts months out. The steady work with guidance from a planner allowed our lives to remain semi-normal even in the final 2 weeks. We could never have done it or felt as proud of what we did with only a day-of planning package. To Olive and Rose, we will recommend Shelby by name to all of our friends, hands down. Also, please consider Shelby for a promotion or advancement. She is beyond deserving.

Fantastic experience: When my husband and I got engaged the first vendor we looked for was a planner. We wanted someone who we could trust with our wants/needs, match us the vendors who matched our personality, and handled everything with care. And we got that with Kim! From the minute we had our first call to the very last moments of the wedding night Kim was right there with us making sure we were her top priority. Fantastic experience: Kim (Olive and Rose) is a stud in the wedding planning and coordinating scene of Pittsburgh. She was exactly what we needed to ensure our wedding vision was carried out and executed. Her personality was always helpful and positive and we (bride and groom) were in sync with her from the beginning. If you're thinking about whether to spend the money on a planner, coordinator, or skip this entirely; talk to Kim for a consult and see what she can share. We were very budget conscious and enjoyed planning our special day, but it takes a weight off your shoulders to have a point person for the day of your wedding. Kim worked with us starting about 6 weeks before the wedding day, and helped us stay organized and on top of everything along the way. Her experience shined through as she knew which vendors and suppliers were reliable and who we should watch out for. She made recommendations when asked and her input elevated the decoration and coordination of the day to the next level. She brought energy and enthusiasm to everything and has a great personality to go along with it. We enjoyed working with her, and notably, all the other vendors we used also enjoyed working with her. She participates on calls and is the backup and "muscle" in tough conversations. Her expertise with contracts and wedding details makes her irreplaceable. She's worth twice her fee, so grab her while she has availability. Her organization skills will make any day go off without a hitch and is the perfect antidote to any bridezilla/groomzilla :-)

Fantastic experience: For my one year Anniversary, I'm FINALLY getting around to reviews. Honestly, Kim is AMAZING and I should have done this a lot sooner. The wedding industry can feel a lot like "keeping up with the Joneses" but Kim never made me feel like that-- in fact she appreciated my point of view and helped me see that what I was doing was enough. She really eased my anxiety! I would have gotten completely lost sorting through lists of vendors, but she helped me pick out some really amazing people which resulted in an amazingly smooth day of! She handled everything so calm, cool, and collected. My family who interacted with her all loved her. She is the sweetest. If you are tempted at all to use a wedding planner -- DO IT! Kim and her team are excellent!

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of working with Kim's team for the cutest, spring "Some Bunny is Turning One" birthday party! Kim was extremely communicative and organized, and even though the day brought surprise rain, was completely prepared. There were so many unique designs as well as small details that went the other mile- like tiny bunnies on the straws, custom cookies, and desserts that left guests speechless. If you're looking for someone who can take your vision and execute it into perfection, Kim is your person!

Fantastic experience: I hired Olive & Rose for month-of coordination for my August 2022 wedding at Succop Nature Park - and I could not be more thankful that I did! I worked with Susy, and with the month-of package she reach out to me about 6 weeks before my wedding, right as I was starting to truly burn out on wedding planning. She pulled together a meticulous timeline, contacted every vendor and finalized any last minute details that were stressing me out, and provided essential encouragement in those final weeks. Susy is an amazing, genuine person as well as a thoughtful and talented coordinator, and I was so grateful to be able to work with her. Unfortunately she got sick the week of my wedding and was no longer able to work the day of, but she SEAMLESSLY passed the baton to Shelby, who was absolutely incredible and managed our wedding rehearsal and wedding day with absolute perfection. The whole experience made me so glad that I had hired a coordinator from such a professional, established company, because I didn't have a single concern when Susy got sick that I would be left in the dark. Shelby stepped in and knew exactly what I needed, and on the wedding day my whole bridal party was so impressed with her - they were shocked that we hadn't been working with her for my whole engagement! If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding coordinator, take it from me that you will not regret choosing Olive & Rose - they are simply the best!!!

Fantastic experience: Couldn't have asked for a better wedding coordinator / team. Throughout the THREE years that I was in touch with Olive & Rose for wedding planning (delayed due to covid) they were always extremely professional, flexible, and willing to accommodate. We worked most closely with Susy of O&R and she was absolutely wonderful. For someone who already considers themselves organized, Susy was always there to handle the few things that were not even on our radar and/or essentially take over in the two weeks leading up to the wedding - I can't imagine having the time or mental capacity to have confirmed all the last min details without her. She was also eager to help with random details like procuring flowers for my hair from Trader Joes, figuring out how to get Aiellos pizza delivered late night, and recommending places to donate the food and florals after the wedding. Day-of she was right by my side making sure everything went off without a hitch, and thanks to Olive & Rose and our other great vendors, it did.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend the Olive & Rose team enough. We were married in August 2022 in Erie, PA and we were a little nervous when we kicked off planning since our space would require a room flip that the venue hadn't done before and a strolling reception. We talked to a few planners in the Pittsburgh area and as soon as we got off the phone with Kim we knew we were done searching! She knew the vibe we were going for immediately and made us feel really listened to right from the start. Kim is an incredible combination of thorough, knowledgeable, down to earth, and all-around good human. We were so delighted to get to know Susy during our wedding weekend as well – Kim and Susy were an incredible team and made sure that everything went seamlessly, and they were so sweet and fun with our families and guests. After the rehearsal pretty much everyone was like "I want to be friends with Kim and Susy" and we couldn't agree more :) Olive & Rose made everything such a joy. Even when we were thrown some curveballs with the venue and other things, Kim was always ready to problem solve and keep things positive. I can't say enough about their team and recommend them to literally everyone & anyone.

Fantastic experience: For those that heard the wedding planning is brutal, they obviously didn’t work with Susy at Olive & Rose. We’re already scheming what else we can do in the near future that would take us back to Pittsburgh …milestone birthdays, baby showers, anything tbh. We are obsessed with Warhol so we figured since he was from Pittsburgh, he inspired our theme. Not only did Susy embrace it but she fully leaned in and had so many phenomenal ideas to elevate it. Everything from the planning to execution TJ the day of was beyond flawless. Not only did I feel like I lucked out on the wedding planner of all wedding planner but truly left with a new friend. Fantastic experience: Where do I even begin? First, I’ll just say choosing to work with Olive + Rose Events was hands down, THE BEST DECISION I MADE in my journey of wedding planning! When I first started to peruse the wedding vendors in January 2021, I reached out to the owner, Kim Allera. I was still figuring out a lot of main aspects, and wasn’t quite sure what I wanted, or if I even needed help. I already knew my ceremony site (Heinz Chapel) and reception site (Soldier and Sailors Memorial), so hard could it be? She was very helpful in breaking down the types of services her team could provide, and to get in touch at my convenience if I wanted to set up a consultation. Two months later, I finally admitted to myself that I truly could not even do this, even if I didn’t have a job in healthcare, and living 1,000 miles away in FL. And from that moment, wedding planning life became so much better! My full consultation was completed over telephone with Kim and my assigned coordinator, Susy Tveten. They had such enthusiasm and I could tell, even over the phone, that they enjoyed their work, and that this business wasn’t just a job, but a passion! Throughout the next several months, when I talked about Susy to friends and family, it wasn’t just “my wedding planner” but it was “My new friend Susy, who also happens to be my ANGEL wedding planner!” Susy was able to see my vision of a “comfortable, but classy wedding” and helped me through the milestones of the process. She understood the vibe I was looking for, and found additional elements to elevate the look, without sending my budget into the ground. If I had an idea, well ANY idea, Susy would compile all of the research. She provided several viable options, but ultimately she could predict which option I would likely be drawn to, or if I would just nix the thought all together. No request was too much for Susy! I could write more paragraphs singing Susy’s praises; from the welcome bags, to the invitations, to my funfetti cake request, to my crisis text messages (at suitable hours of course!), Susy was my miracle worker. She is an efficient, talented, hearting warming soul and professional to work with and I promise you will not be disappointed! And I’m happy to have found a new and amazing friend!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Olive & Rose! If you are a bride that really stresses about the details, then you have to choose Olive & Rose. Kimberly made payments easy and helped make our rehearsal run smoothly. Mackenzie answered my many many questions along the way and really helped give me peace of mind. I was a very diy bride and made many things myself, but I had no doubts that Mack understood my vision and would help bring it to life! Mackenzie helped me contact all of the necessary vendors after a last minute (two days before) hotel change and even made an updated timeline just so I could get the first look location that I wanted. The day of our wedding, the forecast said rain, right at our ceremony time. Mackenzie called me, as I was getting my makeup done, and talked me through the options I had for moving our ceremony inside. I had no worries that no matter where our ceremony was, she would help make it everything I dreamed of! It's safe to say that all thanks to Mack, I was completely stress free on the day of our wedding!

Fantastic experience: We had Susy help with our August 2021 wedding, and she saved my sanity. I LOVE these ladies, and Susy was absolutely amazing. Literally, every time I realized I forgot something or needed something else done, I would message her to let her know, and she would respond with “already done!” or “on it!”. She was such a lifesaver throughout the entire wedding planning process. My only regret is that I didn’t hire her sooner!! 10/10 recommend these ladies!!

Fantastic experience: Hire Kim and her team! Don’t think twice about it. My husband and I hired Olive and Rose for day of coordination for our wedding last weekend. Kim made everything run so smoothly-I didn’t have a single worry the day of because I knew we were in such great hands. Fantastic experience: We hired Susy as our day of coordinator for our wedding this summer and couldn't have been happier with her services. Hiring her was the absolute best decision we made in wedding planning. Having someone step in to handle vendor communications and all the wedding logistics in the weeks ahead of the wedding was such a relief. She ran our rehearsal and was so helpful in handling any blips on the wedding day too. Our families and guests raved about how helpful and sweet she was. Through the whole process, Susy was always upbeat, fast to respond, and reassuring. I truly couldn't recommend her or the whole Olive & Rose team enough!

Fantastic experience: When planning a wedding, the two points of advice I heard OVER and OVER was 1.) hire a day of planner at a minimum and 2.) hire a videographer I did both. Olive and Rose are pros. Susy was my right hand gal - hyping me up the whole way through planning. I can’t explain how ‘chill’ I was going into THE BIG DAY because of Olive and Rose. A wedding planner is the best decision you can make! Hands down! Plus, I literally wanna be besties with Susy cause she’s a dope human. (Hit me up, girl!) Fantastic experience: Working with Susy and Kim from Olive & Rose events was hands down one of the BEST decisions that we made during wedding planning. We brought the Olive & Rose team on pretty late during our planning process after realizing that we needed some additional and professional help (Hint: hire your planner or coordinator early!) Susy jumped right in, immediately started working to coordinate all of our last minute details with our vendor team, and made herself available for absolutely anything that we needed during the final few weeks leading up to our wedding. Not only was Susy professional, organized and attentive, but she also was an amazing human who kept me sane during the crazy last few weeks before the wedding. Our wedding day was 100% stress free thanks to Susy. I truly felt like I could be a "guest" at my own wedding, and just enjoy every moment, because no detail went overlooked. Susy 100% took my vision and worked with our vendors to make it a reality. She worked tirelessly the entire night to make sure that the day was even more perfect than we could have imagined- from decor, to organization and communication and also being in charge of the cookie table (with over 1000 cookies)- she did it all. If you are on the fence about hiring a coordinator (as I was) you will NOT regret bringing Olive & Rose events on as part of your team. My only regret is that we did not bring them on sooner. Fantastic experience: Hiring Olive & Rose was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. If I could make 1 recommendation to any bride, it would be to hiring a wedding planner even if it is just for Day Of coordination. Olive & Rose is PHENOMENAL! I can't express my gratitude for all of the hard work and how impressed I was with not only the outcomes but also the entire wedding planning process. We were planning on a small wedding and wanted an intimate setting but neither of us really liked planning the small details nor decor. To help with this, we added 10 hours of wedding planning in addition to the Day Of wedding coordinator. Kim was absolutely fantastic! She was so warm and friendly yet extremely polished and professional. It was obvious she is well experienced with the wedding industry. We went against many traditions and Kim guided us on how to address our wants with our families expectations. Her creativity was helpful in designing a lounge area for our wedding since we had extra space (given our small wedding of 65 guests). Most importantly, Kim was an excellent communicator. We both worked full time and had limited availability to call during normal business hours so we mainly used email for planning and communication. Kim was quick and thorough with her responses. She also sent monthly check-in emails and follow-up on tasks to help keep us on schedule with planning. This was essential in minimizing our stress level. Even without the additional wedding planning support, Olive & Rose is amazing for Day Of coordination. We were lucky to have Kim available for this role as well, making it a very smooth transition. I was a bridesmaid for a few weddings so I knew the wedding day could start early with setting up the reception area, then the hours of wedding party prep, not to mention worrying about all of your vendors. We kept our decor simple so Kim and her team were able to set up without us being there, giving me more time to relax. When I say our wedding was flawless, I am not exaggerating. Not a single hiccup or issue the ENTIRE day. The week leading up to the wedding Kim made sure to triple-check coordination for every vendor. My only stressor for the wedding was the weather...and even the rain stopped an hour before our outdoor ceremony. The best part was the end of the night. Instead of having to worry about the presents, decor, etc, Kim and her team quietly coordinated breakdown while I was on the dance floor with my family and friends. It was wonderful! Honestly, our wedding was the best day of my life...we still talk it about it almost daily and it's been 3 weeks. We couldn't have had a more perfect day with Kim's help and the amazing Olive * Rose events. I strongly recommend Olive & Rose events for your special day!

Fantastic experience: TRULY INCREDIBLE. Choosing Olive & Rose (O&R) was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding besides marrying each other. Susy was our day-of wedding coordinator and she is one of the most kind and genuine people we've ever met. What differentiates her, and O&R by extension, is that she truly cares and we were not "just another couple" getting married. She and two O&R assistants made the day go perfectly from start to finish. Susy was in constant communication with us during the months leading up to the wedding. A specific example of how she went above and beyond was when she met with us IN PERSON with masks at our venue during the height of the pandemic. Additionally, Susy's ongoing input and the O&R timeline and tools made the planning process so much easier by helping us stay organized. On the day of our wedding, Susy and her team executed the decorations at the reception beautifully, making our vision a reality. I cannot thank Susy and Olive & Rose enough!

I was in a wedding that Mackenzie coordinated and when my husband and I got engaged I knew that she was exactly who we wanted to work with. As the first vendor we hired, I can honestly say they made the wedding planning experience 1000x easier. From weighing our options for venues or helping us to decide what was most important to us and where wanted to spend our money and then basically becoming my therapist as we navigated planning a Covid wedding in 2020... I could go on for days but in summary, the best advice I can give is to hire Olive & Rose to make your wedding planning process enjoyable and streamlined! As for day of... Mackenzie absolutely nailed my vision! When I arrived at the venue I was completely in awe at how perfect it all was. The one benefit of getting married in 2020 is that we get to work with them all over again for our big reception in 2021. Fantastic experience: I’m a (little bit of a) control freak and was convinced that we wouldn’t need a planner for our wedding. My then fiancé convinced me otherwise and we decided on Olive and Rose for Day of Coordination. Our original date of 4/18/20 had to be postponed due to COVID and our planned 250 guest celebration turned into a small gathering of 25 people. I’m happy to say that we finally were married in August 2020- but I honestly have no idea what I would have done without Kim, her attention to detail, and way of listening to our concerns. She heard all of our worries and fears, she was there every step of the way helping us reschedule, refocus, rethink our original plans. While it wasn’t the day we initially planned, she made it the day of our dreams. I truly feel that she went above and beyond not just to make sure that our vendors were coordinated and our day-of needs were being met. She was like a friend with us navigating a really scary time- we didn’t feel like we were alone trying to make the big difficult decisions. We look forward to using her services next year when we throw a reception and vow renewal- like the way we originally wanted our wedding to be. I can’t imagine anyone else being with us on that day to help us navigate all the details.

Fantastic experience: Everything about our experience with Kim Allera was wonderful. I originally wanted a wedding coordinator as a median between my fiancé and I and to help with logistical things during the planning process and for day-of coordination. But to be truthful, I got even more than that. Kim was not only my planner, but my confidant, and therapist and she is now my friend. She came with me to every appointment from flowers, to linens, to dress fittings. She took control of contracts, helped with decorating decisions and made the entire wedding day seamless. Kim will call vendors for you, thinks about things you wouldn't, and will be on top of everything! She had our day of schedule planned down to the minute and kept us on time throughout the entire day. Kim and her team made our day flawless and ensured we didn’t have to worry about anything with vendor coordination, set up and clean up. She was always just a phone call, email or text away and extremely organized. Fantastic experience: I found Olive and Rose Events on Burgh Brides website when I realized about halfway through the wedding planning process that I needed more help. I was planning the wedding across the country and we were doing a full weekend of events, so needless to say, I was feeling super overwhelmed. On my initial phone call with Kim, I felt like I was talking to a girlfriend I had known for ages. It was the easiest conversation and she was super understanding of what support I needed for the weekend. Flash forward several months and phone calls later and I would tell anyone who would listen that hiring Kim was the best vendor decision I made throughout the whole process. Not only did she provide great advice, but she was extremely organized, on top of EVERYTHING, and had a bubbly smile on her face the entire time. She had my back and kept me (and my mom) sane.
