Fantastic experience: ABBA Design is phenomenal when it comes to event planning! We worked with them for a little over a year planning our multi-event wedding for April 19th, 2025. We met periodically throughout the previous year to slowly plan all the details. We felt supported through the process and they were very communicative whenever we emailed or called about anything. They have connections with the best vendors locally, are resourceful when it comes to budget, and have beautiful design aesthetic for table decor & displays. We also loved that they are a florist- the designs effortlessly coordinate and it simplifies the process. When the weekend finally came, they got right to work to execute all of our beautiful planning. They are very grounded and know what they are doing , which made the day stress-free. They think about things and complete them before you think of them. The team they have works well together seamlessly and with all of the other vendors- as a bride on her wedding day , you don't even notice what is happening; it's all quietly and professionally happening without any need of input. They check in with you on your wedding day to see if you need anything. We had so many worries and fears about logistically how some of our planned events would go, but when they arrived - everything worked out as planned. I admire their business , what they accomplish design wise , and how they operate. 10/10 would recommend them as your wedding/event planner!! She displayed an incredible attention to detail, taking the time to fully understand what was most important to us and just as importantly, what was not. Her ability to tailor the planning process around our specific needs made everything feel personal and stress-free. Throughout the entire journey, Lizzie maintained constant communication. She was incredibly responsive, promptly addressing every item on our to-do list and ensuring nothing slipped through the cracks. Her organizational skills and follow-through gave us complete peace of mind. The wedding itself was absolutely stunning. From the floral arrangements and décor to the layout of the venue, every element was beautifully curated and thoughtfully executed. The welcome party was also a major highlight! It was a huge success and perfectly captured the fun spirit of our pickleball theme. Guests couldn’t stop raving about it. In the three weeks leading up to the wedding, we felt calm and confident, a rare feeling for most brides! That peace came directly from knowing Lizzie had every detail covered and was fully aligned with our vision. Her dedication, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference in creating a wedding experience that exceeded our expectations.

It felt like magic, and so much of that was because of their artistry. What also meant the world to us was their calm, thoughtful presence during the planning process. Negative experience: Poor taste, poor service! Bad floral arrangements! Brides, please be aware of this place! Don’t just walk, run as fast as you can!

Negative experience: Brides, BEWARE! If you’re looking for a “wedding planner” who will take your money, fail to provide the services promised, and then attempt to gaslight you —look no further than ABBA Designs. Hiring ABBA Designs was the worst decision I made during my wedding planning process. I booked their “Complete Experience Package,” expecting expert guidance and stress-free planning. What I actually got was a mix of gaslighting, excuses, blatant incompetence and a complete lack of service. Per their own contract, I was supposed to receive: ✔ A planning checklist within two weeks. (Never happened.) ✔ A detailed timeline. (Never happened.) ✔ A high-level budget discussion. (Also never happened.) Instead of actually helping me, they made incorrect assumptions about what I wanted, failed to secure vendors, and left me scrambling to do everything myself. Then, when I called them out on their lack of service, Tonya, the owner, pulled out the ultimate excuse and implied that I’m just not “financially ready”. Excuse me?? Hilarious, considering they clung to my $1,200 deposit like their entire business depended on it. If anyone wasn’t financially prepared, it certainly wasn’t me. Then there’s the absolute clownery of how they define time. Their contract clearly states I’d receive a planning checklist WITHIN two weeks, but when called out on it they tried to claim that meant 14 business days instead of 14 calendar days/10 business days. (By their logic, a two-week job notice means you’re stuck working nearly three weeks. Someone get these people a calendar.) And the best part? After they were failing to do their job, they had the audacity to blame me for feeling stressed—because I was looking for vendors myself. (Funny, considering they repeatedly asked if I’d found a hair and makeup artist yet.) Isn't that what a wedding planner is for? But wait—there’s more! They also tried to scam me with a wildly overpriced floral quote from their own company ($16,000). Out of suspicion, I got quotes from two other florists for the exact same vision, and both quoted me less than half the price while providing a full itemized breakdown—something Tonya from ABBA Designs conveniently refused to do. Once I realized I was paying them for absolutely nothing, I canceled. Rather than taking responsibility for their lack of service, Tonya doubled down with excuses, dismissiveness, and a condescending attitude. And, of course, they refused to refund a single cent of my deposit, because in their world, failing to do your job still entitles you to payment. Bottom line: DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. If you want a wedding planner who actually communicates, follows through, and doesn’t try to gaslight you into thinking it’s your fault they aren’t doing their job—look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Tonya and Lizzie and the whole team do amazingly gorgeous work and I would trust them to bring any of your ideas to life. I knew they crushed the aesthetic of stunning white light classic bohemian vibes, but I wanted bright jewel tones for my wedding party bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages. I inquired with Lizzie if they did those too, and they nailed my vision! The bouquets popped perfectly off of mine and the bridesmaids dresses, and I couldn’t have been happier with how they turned out!

Fantastic experience: Tonya and her team are super professional! We partnered with them to throw a "combined" rehearsal dinner/welcome party at the Barn in Reynolda Village. They were easy to work with, creative, and our guests truly admired how the room set, the flowers and the linens came together for a beautiful look and feel!

Fantastic experience: Lizzie and Tonya at ABBA are THE dream team!! We met with them about 7 months before my daughter’s wedding specifically for wedding planner / day of planning. After that initial meeting I learned more about what they offer in terms of design and florals. My daughter shared her vision and to say they did Magic is an understanding. I can’t say enough about their professionalism, creativity, ability to take a vision and bring it to life. On the day of i was able to focus on my daughter, the wedding and Lizzie and Tonya handled every vendor, made sure everything was timely and ran like a well oiled machine. Anyone planning a wedding should incorporate their services in their budget. It’s worth every single penny. I have another daughter and when she’s ready to tie the knot, ABBA will be my first phone call. 10/10 recommend !!

Fantastic experience: I cannot express my admiration for these women. They not only were the best planners, florist, and more, they truly became friends along the way of the planning process. The Organization, skill, And passion they put into truly show. I had so many friends and family asked me how stressed I was before the wedding, and I honestly told them I was so confident and comfortable in my team. I had zero stress. I cannot imagine a better group of people to hire for your events and planning. They truly are an amazing team and amazing people and inside and out. In terms of the flowers…WOW. I had told Tonya and Lizzie That the florals were the biggest part of my wedding vision, and they absolutely nailed it. They are the most talented women around.

Fantastic experience: Abba Design, under the able leadership of Tonya and her right-hand-woman Lizzie, provided sanity-saving service for my daughter’s wedding. It is more than a highly professional service though—it is a heart felt commitment to ensuring that a day full of emotional ups and downs runs as smoothly as possible. We engaged the ABBA team to assist with everything, from invitations to linens to flowers to how the toasts would be given at the reception. My daughter’s hopes and wishes were always listened to and implemented. Tonya and Lizzie worked seamlessly with other vendors (photographers, DJ, site coordinators). Their opinions and experience gained from years guiding weddings was valuable. I could not imagine pulling off such an event without them! Large or small or anywhere in between, I highly recommend ABBA Design for your event planning and day-of coordination. And then the flowers - our guests still talk about our flowers and custom designed place card holder and Photo Booth. Words simply cannot express the beauty of Tonya’s flower art and design. She gave us exactly what we desired as far as size, look and colors. Again, I highly recommend ABBA Design!

Fantastic experience: Tonya and the team were so helpful. They made our special day something to remember. I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted and Tonya helped me work through the logistics to make sure our day was beautiful. We had a special floral request to honor my late mother in law and Tonya and her team truly exceeding our expectations.

Fantastic experience: I thought I had given Tonya an impossible task of securing olive trees during our first florist meeting prior to my January 2024 wedding however without hesitation she navigated my dream and excelled. There is an ease and a realistic approach Tonya takes to making the most exquisite of bridal dreams come true. She took my theme of Mediterranean maximalism and filled the room with color and landscape that still fill my head as I sleep. I couldn’t recommend her and her team more.

Fantastic experience: The ABBA team is nothing short of STELLAR! Tonya has such a unique, creative, and striking eye for design. She can take a backdrop and find the colors and textures that just make it a truly stunning setting. We had a few changes at the venue somewhat last minute. This team adapted with incredible speed, delivering a setting that was better than anything I could have imagined. Trust Tonya, trust in this team, you will be amazed!

Fantastic experience: We used ABBA design for floral arrangement, and they were incredible!!!! I'm posting pictures because I just don't think words could do it justice. At times, communication was lacking and scheduling was difficult, but this is a busy time and I'm sure I had some part in that as well. It almost doesn't even matter knowing what the end result was. Tonya put together a beautiful and thoughtful inspo page, really took my vision into account and it ended perfectly. If I did it again, I'd absolutely use ABBA design again, and for SURE recommend them to anyone!!

Fantastic experience: Tonya and Lizzie were great to work with!! They helped bring all of my visions to life and went above and beyond on the day of my wedding! All of the florals (many of which Tonya was able to source even though they were not in season) and extra details that were added in blew us away. Lizzie was on site during the entire evening and helped execute the night flawlessly! I could not have asked for a more perfect and cherished wedding. Tonya and her team helped turn a venue I was very familiar with into a dreamy setting that felt new and unexpected!

Fantastic experience: We used ABBA Designs as both our day of coordinator and for our flowers. Lizzie was an absolute rock star, from start to finish she answered all of our questions, helped us find a last minute musician for our ceremony, and was flexible when we adjusted our vision for our arrangements. The team at ABBA ran with my idea of white flowers and greenery through out our reception space. I was floored when I saw the final product after returning from my ceremony, I cried! The flowers were beautiful, and the ambience from their design was incredible. I personally couldn't believe my wedding was that stunning. In regard to her as our day of coordinator, she truly was a godsend. I did not have to worry about anything as I was getting ready and moving locations before our ceremony. She checked in with me throughout the day and did a wonderful job setting up our reception space. Lizzie also adjusted my timeline by 20 minutes during our cocktail hour to better serve the flow of the day, she worked with the other vendors during the change and not one guest knew better. She and her team cleaned up and put leftovers, our personal decor, and other misc. items into our car before the night let out. I am thankful that I never once had to think about a small detail during the reception, getting ready, or cleaning up, I was able to focus on having fun with my guests.. Lizzie and her team do excellent work and I HIGHLY recommend hiring ABBA Design for any/all of their services.

Fantastic experience: I can not say enough good things about Lizzie, from ABBA design. I was a 2022 bride with Lizzie as my planner and coordinator. She was always available when I needed her, and the day would not have been what it was without her! She made sure to not make not only the brides dreams come true but also the dreams of my groom! Not only did I gain a wedding planner but also a friend! Lizzie is the best at what she does and will continue to grow with ABBA design!!!

Fantastic experience: Lizzie and Tonya were so great to work with - always were two-steps ahead of us! Our daughter's wedding day was so perfect and the MOB didn't have to stress over anything - how fantastic was that! Lizzie was on site all day and made sure all things were working and on schedule. The flowers were absolutely beautiful; the decor and setup for the reception was so elegant and so perfect; the exit was executed perfectly - we couldn't have been more pleased with EVERYTHING!! Fantastic experience: Wedding planning can be so overwhelming but Tonya and the ABBA team took the stress out of finding vendors and guiding us on what to focus on. She helped us handle the big and small details and was always willing to answer questions. The team at ABBA Design made our wedding day so special. We had so many compliments from our guest on how smoothly our wedding day ran as well as the florals… breathtaking to say the least. We couldn’t have asked for a better team. The ABBA team works quickly and without being seen. It was actually impressive how quickly they transitioned our ceremony space into our beautiful reception area. Tonya was there for me as a bride the day of, but allowed us to just have our day without being bothered by anyone or anything. I really can’t say enough!

Negative experience: My experience with ABBA as my planners and florists was not the best. My day of coordinator and head planner, Lizzie, was really great with answering my questions and really stepping up the 3 weeks leading up to the wedding. She as an individual was great to work with! As a florist, the bouquets were beautiful but did not match the description and imagery we have discussed in our meetings and what I was expecting based on those meetings. The quality of all the wrist and jacket flowers was very low and did not even make it through pictures. The company as a whole needs to work on communication routes and clearly outlining timelines, details, and the amount of hours of help you will receive from them in the contracts. The amount of time I was able to communicate with them and ask questions leading up to my wedding was not clearly stated in my package contract. Based on the provided package documentation and signed contracts, I was under the impression that I was able to communicate with them by email for vendor suggestions and questions. About 6 months out for the wedding the owner told me that I had used up my amount of time and to not reach out for anything else until the 8 week appointment before my wedding. She then requested that I up my package to the full time planning if I did need more assistance or questions answered before then. One-on-one I had a great experience with our day of coordinator. I do wish ABBA all the best and success! But now understanding the stress of being a bride planning a wedding and working full time… I’d suggest looking for another vendor or any wedding planning for florals.

Fantastic experience: We worked with ABBA Design for our wedding. They were our day-of coordinators, florists, and decorators too. They can do it all! We didn't have to lift a finger on our big day, all we had to to was show up and the rest was taken care of. When we stepped into the reception venue we were in awe of how they had transformed it to match our vision. It was the perfect day, thanks to them.

Fantastic experience: Abba Design did a phenomenal job for my couple Sarabeth and Nick! Their wedding was in August 2017 and everything looked perfect. You can see some of the work they did for this wedding in these photos by Jessica Hyatt Photography. They also provided the linen and dinnerware rentals for this event. They dropped off and picked up the rentals on the day of the event and made it that much easier for my self as the planner and for my couple. It was a pleasure to work with them. I highly recommend using this company for your florals and rentals.

Fantastic experience: AMAZING!!! We are so happy to have found Abba Design and Tonya. When my wife and I started planning our wedding, we were very lost in the process of where and what and how. We needed some guidance since we had never been a part of wedding planning before. We made a couple errors along the way in the beginning but our BEST choice by far was choosing to work with ABBA. We walked in the first day and after we walked out, the weight was starting to lift from our shoulders. Tonya took our hands and guided us through the process flawlessly. Fantastic experience: Tonya is incredibly professional and ensures that she hits the mark each and every time. She also reaches out to ensure I don’t miss any “key” dates for which flowers are necessary (valentines, birthdays, anniversaries, etc) I have seen her work for drop offs, weddings, centerpieces, birthday parties, events and corporate events. They are prompt, professional and extremely personable and reasonably priced.

We have used ABBA many times for a numerous of things and every. single. time. I am SHOOK by how beautiful her work is. We love this company and the high quality product and service they provide!

Fantastic experience: Tonya and her team will be trusted for life! The way my wedding vision came to life in the midst of Covid was more than anything I could've asked for. Tonya goes out of her way to always make her clients happy and can be trusted for anything from a simple birthday porch arrangement to a detail oriented 350 person wedding. We couldn't imagine using anyone other than ABBA for all of our event and floral needs.

Positive experience: *updated review* We decided to use Abba designs for a birthday porch delivery. The ordering system leaves a lot to be desired, with not very clear engagement on what you are wanting and expecting through the service. The flowers themselves were the appropriate amount of flowers but the composition was not what I wanted. They looked very haphazardly arranged and we were expecting something more for $60. With that being said, if you are looking for a more “from the garden” style arrangement, this may be the right choice for you. I wouldn’t use this again for a floral arrangement delivery, but I can’t speak at all to their weddings/events side of things, just to their porch delivery service. Also, my original review had a complaint about tagging on instagram - they DID actually tag us, but it didn’t attach correctly, which was the fault of instagram, not this company. It’s also worth noting that after I complained, I did receive good follow-up communication from the owner, which is always appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I was excited to work with ABBA Designs after seeing her work at another wedding. She listened to my ideas for my wedding day and created a vision that was beyond my wildest dreams. Everyone was blown away by how Tonya and her team transformed the ceremony and reception space. Her amazing work speaks for itself, but she is also professional and wonderful to work with! There was no detail overlooked and I loved that she offered so much more than just florals. As a wedding professional myself, I will be recommending ABBA Designs to ALL of my brides!

She was always very quick to respond at anytime to our questions (yes, even midnight the night before the wedding to find a fill in hair stylist) and she was always pleasant. Having her on board for the wedding planning process really helped bring our vision to life. We highly recommend her for your wedding/event planning and floral needs! Our experience was exceptional!

Fantastic experience: I have had the opportunity to work with ABBA Design numerous times over the past year. Allowing her to design events from start to finish ensures that you will get to experience your event rather than worry with the details of the planning, vendor coordination and execution. It also ensures that every event (wedding, corporate event, gala, birthday party, rehearsal dinner, baby shower, bridal shower, etc...) will be beautifully decorated with her stunning floral designs.

Negative experience: My fiancé recently inquired about booking to do arrangements and when she described what she invisioned for her floral needs, she was told by the lady that “it sounded like something she should do herself” Not really sure what kind of business immediately rejects a potential customer, but we’ll be more than glad to spend our money somewhere else. Would definitely not want to work with someone who comes off as that snobby right off the bat.
